A Lazy Way To Finding YouTube Keywords Tutorial - Time Saver - Duration: 4:33.

Hello it's Jeff from Video Cashflow, and

in this video I'll be showing you a

shortcut to finding keywords for your

YouTube videos. For some of us the whole

idea of having to research keywords is

as much fun as reading about the latest

pension changes.It just makes your eyes

glaze over! So you'll be pleased to learn

there's a quick and effective way to

avoid a lot of this in-depth work that

goes into researching keywords. Now, this

technique is ideal if you're in a hurry

for whatever reason, for example, if you're

under pressure to meet a publishing deadline.

This may upset a few of the die-hard youtubers,

but sometimes it's a case of "needs must".

So what is this lazy way to finding YouTube

keywords? First of all you need to upload

or download a Chrome extension called

vidIQ - that's V I D I Q. So let's go over to the computer

now and I'll talk you through the process.

And yes - this is another case of "less is

more". So here we are back at the computer.

The first thing to do is to go to the vidIQ

site. It's www.vidiq.com and you'll be

faced with this page here. Just enter

in your details. As it says "Sign up

for free".

It's very self explanatory and then you can

download the vidIQ Chrome extension.

And then I'll show you how that shows up on

your YouTube videos. Now before we

actually do that what we want to do is

go to YouTube and in the search bar

enter your main title. In this example

I'm going to use "How To Dance The

Argentine Tango" and up comes a whole

load of videos and you probably won't

need to go through more than a

half a dozen these videos to get all of

your keywords. So the first thing to do -

click on the first one - make sure it's

obviously relevant to what you want to use it for

in your own video, and I'll show you how

that comes up with the vidIQ

information as well. So here is that

first video and as you can see on the

right you've got all of the vidIQ data.

Not going to go through it with you now

as to what all of this information means but

if

we scroll down the important bit that we

want to use for the purposes of this

exercise is this little bit here. Now as

you can see there's a number of tags

here that double up as keywords and

there's a few - four or five perhaps - that are numbered.

Now these numbers represent the

relevancy of the keyword or the tag or the

popularity of it and what we do we take

these numbered tags and put them onto a

list. And in this case what I've done

I've added them to a Word document list

and then I've gone through all the other

videos - I probably went through about

half a dozen - and I came up with 27

different keywords and tags. Some of

these keywords are repeated as well and

then you've got a choice then of picking

out your 10 or 12 most appropriate

keywords and you can use that for the

purposes of your own video. So hope you

found this exercise useful. As I say, it

is a shortcut to using the usual Google

Keyword Planner tool process but if you're

really pushed for time for whatever reason

to come up with your own keywords then

this is the lazy way to finding your

YouTube keywords. I hope you found this
