Hi Guys so today I am doing the getting back to booktube tag.
I saw this on Katie's channel, who is the original creator of the tag.
And, I will link her umm channel and video down below.
I don't think I going to answer all of the questions, but I figured this was a good place
to start after taking a 3 month hiatus.
So the first question is why haven't you been making videos?
And for me, I don't think there is necessarily one straight answer.
I find that its hard to make videos when there are outside stresses in life.
I've currently been trying to find a job and thats proven to be a pretty difficult
thing.
And being a little down with that has kind of led to also not doing videos.
Because, when your not feeling your best and feeling confident its really hard to come
on and talk to people on the other side who might judge you.
Even though I haven't really been judged.
The next question is what have you missed about making videos or booktube in general?
And I think for me it's more of the community aspect and the people that I used to watch
and comment on and being part of that discussion.
And having a collective group of people that enjoy reading because thats not something
I have in my outside life.
So thats really what I miss the most.
Also, its a creative outlet for me that doesn't require me to draw or paint or do something
I'm just rather not good at.
And I'm going to skip the next question.
But the fourth question is in and idle world what would your reading/ video schedule look
like?
I don't quite know what my video schedule would look like.
I guess maybe 3 times a week.
And in terms of my reading schedule I think I'd like to read every other day at minimum.
I tend to do bulk reading versus just short snippets so reading everyday wouldn't quite
fit in to how I like to consume a book.
If that makes sense.
But I'm going to try to read everyday in may, so that should be exciting.
Also, I'm planning and I don't know if this will go over but I'm really hoping to do a
video every single day in may, which is quite the task when you haven't made videos in 3
months.
And the last question is why do you want to stay on booktube.
And its not so much that I want to stay on it it's more that I want to come and be consistent
on it.
One of the things I did when I started was I wanted to be confident in myself.
I also wanted to be more able to hold umm, more intelligent conversations and be apart
of community.
And I feel like when you're a creator you're even more so apart of the community than the
people who just watch.
Although being a person who just watches and comments and likes and interacts is incredibly
important and without that there wouldn't be an opportunity for people to create.
But I think you experience it in a whole other light when you're one of the ones creating
the content.
So I hope you guys enjoyed this.
Or just took something away from it.
And if you're deciding wether or not you want to come back or even to start a booktube channel,
I recommend it.
You know start somewhere because wondering about it doesn't do anything in either direction.
