Blackmagic Live Streaming Products - Up to Speed - Duration: 5:33.

Hello and welcome to Up to Speed.

Last night Blackmagic announced some interesting new live production products, we have a new

Atem television studio HD, a Hyperdeck studio mini and a fascinating new product called

the web presenter.

The general theme of the announcement seemed to be that they were targeting the online

content producers, particularly people who are interested in live streaming, whether

thats on youtube, Facebook, twitch or anything similar.

The new web presenter is very much aimed at that market, but the others could have a lot

of appeal to.

So lets go through each of them in a bit more detail.

First up is the new Hyperdeck Studio Mini.

This is a 4K capable recording and playback deck which is very compact considering the

amount that it can do.

It uses SD cards and can either record a prores file in a similar way to their video assists

do if your familiar with those.

Or it can play back and output 4K HDMI, meaning this could be very powerful for digital signage.

In fact they would work a treat in our showroom here to send content to our 4K tv's.

They can also be looped together and synced, so you can use them to power several displays

together as an array, where the first player in the line controls all of them at once,

each playing a different quarter of the content, which is very nice.

Then they announced an update to their popular but aging atem television studio, called the

Atem television studio HD.

This is a complete redesign of the product to fit within the current Blackmagic ecosystem.

The biggest change really is the design, its smaller and more portable and is now just

as much at home on a desktop, as it is on a rack mounted system.

Its also cheaper than the older version because they have taken out the H.264 steaming features

as they decided they should be an optional product that runs alongside this rather than

you having to pay for it whether you are interested in it or not.

So that brings us on to the new Web Presenter.

I think this is the most interesting product of the group personally.

It essentially gives you a way of getting a HDMI or SDI signal from a professional camera

into a computer.

But tricks the computer into thinking that its a webcam, so that it works seamlessly

in live streaming software or even skype.

It can accept up to a 4K signal and downsamples it to 720p, which may seem low but realistically

its the resolution that most live streams are using at the moment as its much more stable

and needs less bandwidth than 1080p.

You can of course get a HDMI or SDI video feed into a computer without this, and send

that signal into live streaming software, thats nothing new.

But without this box you are letting the software do the down converting and compressing on

the fly as well as the uploading and transmitting, and thats a big ask.

With this new web presenter, all the processing is done in the box, meaning that the live

streaming software is getting exactly the signal it needs at the quality it needs.

But that isn't all, because the software essentially thinks the signal is coming from a webcam.

If the your internet connection dips it will send a signal to the web presenter that it

cant cope and the web presenter will lower the frame rate of the transmission, just like

what would happen on a webcam.

This means you should notice less massive quality dips, when the connection gets bad

the video will just show at a lower frame rate which should end up looking much smoother

to the end user.

The last little announcement Blackmagic had up their sleeves was about the studio camera.

They have had feedback from users saying that they were having difficulty shipping the cameras

around by air because of the internal batteries.

Airlines have quite strict restrictions on batteries and so that was causing people some

issues.

So, in response to this, Blackmagic are now offering a lower cost studio camera which

simply doesn't have an internal battery.

I think this is a great idea, especially as realistically, most users will have these

cameras plugged into mains power, if your tethered anyway by a SDI cable to a switcher

and talkback system, which presumably you are otherwise the studio camera would be a

strange camera to choose, theres more than likely no reason you cant have an extra cable

as well for power.

So thats whats new from blackmagic.

We think if your interested in small portable live production, and definitely if you are

interested in online content and livestreaming, these products should definitely be on your

radar.

Make sure to subscribe for more updates like this.

Thanks for watching and i'll see you in the next one.

Top 10 RAREST Cat Breeds - Duration: 6:15.

Welcome to Top10Archive!

They're the world's most indifferent pet and yet we love them anyway – but did you

know that common breeds like Siamese, Persian, Burmese, Himalayan, and Domestic Short and

Longhair are just a handful of the over 70 cat breeds that the International Progressive

Cat Breeders Alliance recognizes?

In this all-too-adorable Archive, we'll be looking at the ten rarest cat breeds in

the world!

10.

Abyssinian Believed to have initially been imported from

Abyssinia, or present-day Ethiopia, this domestic short-haired cat is distinguished by a tabby

coat banded by hairs of different colors.

Slender, fine-boned, and sporting a smaller head, Abyssinians are really prized for their

extrovert personalities, loyalty, and incredibly high level of intelligence.

Despite their name, geneticists believe they have traced the breed back to the coast along

the Indian ocean and Southeast Asia.

9.

British Shorthair Described as having a "football player"

physique, the British Shorthair cat is an affectionate feline, mostly rare outside of

the United Kingdom.

As the name implies, these short-legged kittens were believed to have first been bred in Great

Britain.

Dating back to the first century AD, it's believed the Shorthair history started when

Romans brought Egyptian domestic cats back to the area of Britain, where they interbred

with the European wildcat population.

8.

Chartreux Similar to the British Shorthair, the Chartreux

is a French breed that is large, muscular, and fast.

The first mention of this distinguished feline dates back to 1558 in Vers Francais sur la

mort d'un petit chat, a poem by Joachim de Bellay.

(That translates, by the way, to "French verse on a small kitten's death.")

In 1747, Jean-Baptiste Perronneau's painting Magdaleine Pinceloup de la Grange includes

a Chartreux, staring angrily in the lap of the human subject.

Between World War I and World War II, the population of this French breed is believed

to have been diminished greatly, though European breeders have worked to prevent complete extinction.

7.

Peterbald Hailing from Russia, the Peterbald was first

bred in 1994 in St. Petersburg through experimental breeding of a Don Sphynx and an Oriental Shorthair

by Russian felinologist Olga S. Mironova.

The resulting breed can be found with anything from completely hairless to a short, straight

coat and is known for being highly intelligent, playful, athletic, curious, and forwardly

affectionate.

The medium-sized build is complemented by a slender frame, long legs, and a long, thin

tail.

6.

Kurilian Bobtail Since the middle of the 20th century, this

stocky kitty has made a name for itself in Europe and Russia for its rodent-hunting capabilities.

Originally found on the island chain of Kuril, the Bobtail is found either as a short- or

long-haired variety.

Along with its stout frame, these Russian felines are recognized by their unique tail,

which is typically kinked and extremely short.

This isn't your typical housecat as the Kurilian Bobtail enjoys the hunt and can be

an excellent fisher with an affinity to water.

Though, to its human breeders, it can be very gentle.

5.

Sokoke The Sokoke Forest Cat or African Shorthair

is a newer breed of the khadzonzo, originally found in feral colonies on the coast of Kenya.

In the late 1970s, Jeni Slater began a breeding program that would essentially domesticate

the feral Kenyan feline into the modern Sokoke.

The Sokoke typically has a short, tabby coat and has a very active personality that favors

climbing.

Humans looking for a close bond with their feline companion will enjoy how close they

can get with the Sokoke.

4.

Serengeti The exotic, slender looking Serengeti is a

rare domestic feline that was first bred by crossing a domestic and wild hybrid Bengal

with an Oriental Shorthair.

The Serengeti is recognized by its long neck, spotted coat, and accentuated round ears.

Though known for being shy, the Serengeti can also easily open up to their human owner

for a friendly demeanor.

Agile and active, they love to reach high places and run at high speeds.

3.

Minuet Must.

Not.

Submit.

To.

Cuteness.

Oh, who can resist this dwarfed kitty?!

Those short, stubby legs.

That beautiful tail.

That tiny little face.

Ahem, pardon me.

I, uh… let's just move on!

The Minuet cat, otherwise known as Napoleon, is a unique breed that was created in 1996

by Basset Hound breeder Joseph B Smith, who bred a Munchkin and Persian pairing.

Easily recognized by their short, stubby legs and tinier bodies, the Minuet has an outgoing

personality, is extremely loving, and is often referred to as the "puppy of the cat world."

2.

Minskin Short, stocky, and practically hairless, the

Minskin is an easily recognized, albeit fairly rare, crossbreed of the hairless Sphynx with

a Munchkin.

The low-maintenance coat, low health risks, and affectionate personality make them a desired

breed.

By 2005 there were only about 50 cats that fit within the Minskin breed.

Outside of their near hairless look, the Minskin is best known for having a small head, large

ears, stubby forelegs, and large bug-eyes, much like a Chihuahua.

1.

Ojos Azules New Mexico, 1984 is where this rare breed

of feline was first found in feral feline populations.

By 1992, only ten of these blue-eyed beauties were known to be in existence, making it difficult

to categorize their personality.

Those bred in captivity were typically very active, very friendly, and enjoyed nuzzling

up to their human counterpart.

Physically, the cat is known for its namesake feature – a pair of dark blue eyes.

Debunking Mandela Effect Are We Living In A Parallel Universe - Duration: 8:40.

Debunking Mandela Effect Are We Living In A Parallel Universe

By consciousreminder.

Mandela Effect Introduction The Mandela Effect is a term for where a group

of people all mis-remember the same detail, event or physicality.

It is named after the instance in which a large group of people all shared the same

memory that Nelson Mandela died prior to his actual 2013 death, usually some time in the

1980s.

The effect exploded in popularity on the internet when a peculiar example popped up where a

majority of people seemed to have recalled the Berenstain Bears books as being spelled

as Berenstein or some other variation, differing from the actual spelling as presented

by evidence.

The effect is somewhat different from a false memory as it effects large groups of people,

seemingly without many connections and without the same emotional factors present.

It also seems stronger and harder to escape the feeling that its simply a mis-remembering

of a detail, which is why people are so adamant with claims of their memories.

As such, its often been hinted at that the Mandela Effect is closely related to cognitive

dissonance.

Cognitive dissonance can be mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual

who holds beliefs, ideas, or values and is confronted by new information that conflicts

with existing beliefs, ideas, or values.

Please note the use of can be as there is many purists that dont accept the broader

definition and scope of cognitive dissonance applying to memory versus reality.

Many Mandela Effects are usually trivial details about an oddly specific set of categories.

These include things such as the how and when of celebrity deaths, misspellings (usually

replaced or removed letters), placement of geographical locations, quotations within

media, or alternate imagery.

It is also related to misconceptions in general, although, again is differentiated due to the

obscure nature and odd feelings resulting from learning the reality.

The solutions, explanations and reasons for the misconceptions are also cryptic and often

misrepresented or unknown altogether.

The term it fits most with is confabulation which is a disturbance of memory which produces

fabricated, distorted, or misinterpreted memories about the world, without the explicit or conscious

intention to deceive others.

People who confabulate in this way produce incorrect memories about the most trivial

details (as seen with most Mandela Effects) but range up to more complex fabrications

as well.

They are generally extremely confident in their recollections and will typically resist

any contradictory evidence.

The aim of this site is unique among the current offerings online to attempt to dissect the

possible causes and solutions for this perplexing phenomenon with a scientific, rational approach.

If youve come to read about merging of universes, alternate timelines, and time travel

then you are in the wrong place (unless you have evidence of such things!).

It is of my opinion that the Mandela Effect is a real thing; however, steeped in the realm

of sociology and psychology and not science fiction.

Common Explanations As a general rule, there is normally an identifiable

solution and explanation to most Mandela Effects, or at least theories.

These usually relate to key factors and information regarding the subject mixed with a common

memory bias or other psychological effect.

This list is by no means exhaustive and may not fit certain examples at all.

Its simply to be used as a guide to why some Mandela Effects exist in the first place

failing any hard explanations on a given subject.

Misinformation effect

That misinformation affects peoples reports of their own memory.

I believe this to be a key factor in many Mandela Effects.

Simply seeing the claim from another person may sway recollection of your own memory,

especially if you lacked concrete or deep memories or connections to the subject to

begin with.

Confirmation bias

The tendency to search for, interpret, or recall information in a way that confirms

ones beliefs or hypotheses.

Those seeking Mandela Effects will often be more easily persuaded by other claims.

And with such claims they may agree with, they will often discard any countering evidence

or claims.

Misattribution of memory

When information is retained in memory but the source of the memory is forgotten.

This is sometimes present in Mandela Effects where we forget where we know something from

or why its familiar, possibly leading to incorrect attribution of the original source

confounding the confusion factor.

Cryptomnesia

A form of misattribution where a memory is mistaken for imagination, because there is

no subjective experience of it being a memory.

Many Mandela Effects may have started out as imagination rather than real memories.

Misconceptions

Facts cannot change; however, they can be revealed to be untrue or nonfactual, thus

is the case with many things throughout human history.

As science and technologically progresses, so does our understanding of the world around

us.

Unfortunately for us, our brain is not always built to accept new ideas and new facts.

People who either intentionally, or unintentionally (they do not know the new information) can

also spread these misconceptions, thus perpetuating these erroneous beliefs into society.

This is how misconceptions are born and at the heart of many Mandela Effects.

False memory

A false memory is the psychological phenomenon in which a person recalls a memory that did

not actually occur.

Its often cited with and has a strong connotation to some type of trauma such as sexual abuse

and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

While it would be quite rare for Mandela Effects to originate as false memories, it could fit

in those lesser known or less believed ones as the scenario would typically be very specific

to the person with the false memory.

Because of the trauma involved with these cases, the subject would be quite resistant

to accept any new evidence in opposition of their belief as their brain has literally

implanted this idea as a counter to protect itself from mental harm, thus introducing

cognitive dissonance.

Cognitive dissonance

Cognitive dissonance not an explanation per se, but rather a by-product.

It is one of the main causes for so many people to be so resistant to evidence and ideas contrary

to their beliefs and memory.

Cognitive dissonance can be the mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual

who is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or

values.

Please note the use of can be as there is many purists that dont accept the broader

definition and scope of cognitive dissonance applying to memory versus reality.

Confabulation

Confabulation is a disturbance of memory which produces fabricated, distorted, or misinterpreted

memories about the world, without the explicit or conscious intention to deceive others.

People who confabulate in this way produce incorrect memories about the most trivial

details (as seen with most Mandela Effects) but range up to more complex fabrications

as well.

They are generally extremely confident in their recollections and will typically resist

any contradictory evidence (possibly related to cognitive dissonance in this manner).

The human side of David Rockefeller - Other Topics - Duration: 2:38.

Welcome back, my name is Sascha.

Probably, you have already seen this young man.

And I'm pretty sure you know his name.

He is one of the most influential men and a protagonist of some conspiracy theories.

Sorry, I have no more suitable word that could describe that

some conspiracy theories could be true.

The term "conspiracy eventually not so theoretical theory" sound a bit long-winded and weird.

And yes, this picture is a bit old.

It was taken in 1953.

Sorry again, I didn't find a newer one that I may use.

Nevertheless, he surely wouldn't be angry when we call him an old man now.

After all, he's over 100 years old.

An age that only the fewest people reach.

Surely now you know who he is.

His name is David Rockefeller, son of John D.

Rockefeller Jr. and Grandson of John D.

Rockefeller Sr.

Born in 1915.

He refutes the saying: Money can not buy life.

This is what this video is about.

Last year, in 2016, he had his recent heart operation.

It's right, he was 101 years old when he got this operation.

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation explains that patients should be younger

than 70 years to get a heart transplant.

They also claim that it doesn't matter which income the patient has or how

famous someone is.

In the case of Rockefeller, it seems that the money can matter more than the age.

We must consider that there die more than 20 people per day because they waited

unsuccessfully for a new organ.

I said that the transplantation last year was Rockefeller's recent one.

To be more exact, it was his 7th one.

With that, he broke the record for the most heart transplantations.

His age at this time was possibly record-breaking, too.

Should we think something like: „There are people who deserve a new heart more

than him"?

No.

Just by thinking something like this, we would say we want to decide

who can live and who must die.

And then we cannot say that we're defending human rights.

To sum up, we can say he has not only a heart for money,

he also has money for hearts.

And his fear of the death is a very human side of David Rockefeller.

Overwatch Server Browsers - Duration: 5:40.

Hello everyone I'm and welcome to this video.

Recently the ptr received an update, now we can test out the new server browser which

is coming to Overwatch!

We'll discuss what's cool about it so far and what's not so great so stick around

until the end so that you don't miss anything.

So if you boot up the Ptr right now you can only select the arcade and in that tab you

can either host or find a game.

It's the first day or so and there are already plenty of pretty unique maps that you can

try out.

In the background you can see this crazy Lucio mode in which the host amped up player movement

speed to the max and made everything die in one hit; it's a blast to play.

You don't seem to be able to save or download a game type at least for now but maybe Blizzard

will allow editors to carry over some of their creations to the live client if their popular

enough.

During the dev stream Jeff mentioned that the maps that seemed to resonate well with

us the community would be spotlighted but specifically he mention ctf maps that were

well received may even influence Blizzard's own ctf mode.

- Speaking of ctf new customization - New maps designed specifically for ctf

- Ctf is going to be its own game mode apparently - though I'm not sure if it will have a

competitive playlist

Also for in the server browser you can edit individual hero abilities, removing them outright

from games.

So if Pharah's knockback is ruining your boss battle but you still want to keep Pharah

in the game you can.

If you wanted to have a mode for Genji and Reinhardt based around melee only you can!

The only issues I'm seeing so far however is that it can be difficult to find players

for your new map right off the bat and the only way to advertise your map outside of

the match finder is the chat itself and if these are your only options to find players

then it can take some time before your match actually starts.

Those aside a server browser like this is amazing for Overwatch as it would be for any

game.

For Doom specifically I racked in countless hours in snap map which I know not everyone

enjoyed.

I've come back to Doom purely for the snapmaps because some of the community made game types

there are pretty good.

Of course Blizzard's current system isn't quite there yet but it's shaping up to be

another great area of the game to play and enjoy.

But also it helps with the possibility of burnout Overwatch is a great game I don't

think any of us will deny that but like every game it has things which hold it back and

of course eventually once you reach that cap and enter too much Overwatch territory then

the game becomes monotonous to play.

With the possibility for game modes that make the game feel like an entirely different game,

I'm excited to see

some of the modes and game types we come up with.

Aggressive Treatments Used to Treat Obesity - Duration: 7:07.

Strategies used for weight reduction depends on the degree of obesity.

An overweight person with good health may only need improved eating habits and increased

physical activity to result in weight loss.

But with clinically obesity people may need more aggressive treatments if the treatments

used for overweight people do not show results.

Drugs and surgery are the main aggressive treatments used for morbid obesity.

Drugs have shown to have a relatively moderate effect and is safer than surgery,

at least in short term.

Surgery is dramatically effective but like most surgeries there can be complications

for some people.

Based on studies of obesity genetics and it being classified as a chronic disease there

has been research for drugs treatments towards obesity.

Experts reason that since obesity is classified as a chronic disease it should be treated as such.

This brings up the challenge to produce a drug or combination of drugs to combat obesity.

It would have to be able to be used over a period of time and without adverse effects

or potential addiction or abuse.

These drugs should only be prescribed to people with medical risks and be coupled with a healthy

diet and exercise.

The drug Orlistat inhibits pancreas activity in the GI tract blocking the digestion and

absorption of fat and limiting intake of energy.

The drugs side effects are cramping, diarrhea, gas.

Frequent bowel movements, reduced absorption of fat soluble vitamins and in rare cases

liver damage.

Contrave is approved for adults with a BMI > 27 and higher with at least one weight related

condition or people with a BMI> 30.

The drug targets the brains hunger and reward system reducing hunger and controlling cravings.

This is done by combining two medicines known for treating depression, smoking, alcohol,

and opioid addition.

This drug can cause dose related seizures some people who have had or have a seizure

disorder they should not be give this drug.

Common noted side effects are nausea, constipation, headache, vomiting, dizziness, insomnia, dry

mouth, and diarrhea.

Qsymia reduces appetite and increase satiety by combining two medicines.

This is approved for adults with a BMI> 27 with at least on weight related condition

or people with a BMI> 30.

Common side effects are tingling or numbness, change or loss of taste, insomnia, dry mouth,

and constipation.

This drug can cause birth defects so this should not be prescribed to pregnant patients.

It can also increase heart rate so people with serious heart problem should not be taken either.

Weight loss drugs when used in a long term program it can help with moderate weight loss.

But since weight is commonly regained when taken off the drug long term treatment is

necessary.

Of course long term treatment comes with risks.

Since these drugs are still being studied it is still unknown if a person will be more

harmed from a 100 pounds of excess weight or from take a drug for a decade to keep off

100 pounds.

Physicians must prescribe these drugs appropriately and advise patients of side effects and possible

complications.

Some physicians may use the practice of "Off-labeling" and prescribe drugs not approved for weight

loss but have been approved for other conditions and those drugs have been found to cause weight loss.

Physicians who practice this should be well informed of the drug their prescribing and

closely monitor their patients.

Surgery can be an option for people who are unable to achieve weight loss from exercise

and diet, people with a BMI> 40, or people with a BMI> 35 with a weight related health problem.

Patients should have no medical or psychological factor that may serve as a reason to not perform

surgery.

As well as a clear understanding of the risks and have a strong motivation to comply with

post-surgery treatment guidelines and nutritional guidance.

Clinically severe obesity is still an epidemic, which may last even longer if the idiotic

idea of HAES (Health at Every Size) and the fat acceptance movement is further promoted.

Surgery is the most effective treatment for morbid obesity, lifestyle changes and modest

weight loss will only improve disease risks to a small degree.

There are two common surgical procedures that limit food intake by reducing capacity of

the stomach.

Depending on the type of surgery that is done there are significant results.

Beginning stages of weight loss is 20 to 30% and 14 to 25% after 10 years.

Most people also show improvements in their diabetes, blood lipids, and blood pressure.

Emotional or mental improvements are less likely but can be improved through therapy.

Since the long term safety and effectiveness of the surgeries depends on the cooperation

of the patient to follow dietary instructions, changes to food intake/ lifestyle is important

in follow up treatment.

Dietary supplements are routinely prescribed since vitamin and mineral deficiencies are

common.

Weight gains can still occur and there is the possibility of developing psychological

disorders such as eating disorders.

Lifelong medical supervision is necessary but the possible health benefit of weight

loss and improved health may outweigh the risks with that come with surgery.

Risks of death and health problems are lower for obese people after successful surgery

than obese people who do not get surgery.

Liposuction is the removal of some fat deposits.

This operation is purely cosmetic and has little effect on body weight loss but can

alter body shape in specific areas.

Liposuction is a popular operation since it is viewed safer than others, but complications

can appear immediately or later on.

Additionally the removal of adipose tissue (Fat) does not provide health benefits typically

followed by weight loss.

It is found that after a year of liposuction body fat returns and redistributes itself

from the tights back to the abdomen.

Gastric Surgeries are used to treat clinically severe obesity; both operations limit the

amount of food that can fill the stomach.

With Gastric Banding a gastric band is placed around the tip portion of the stomach,

creating a small pouch. This size of the opening of the stomach can be adjusted

via a port beneath the skin in the abdomen.

This operation creates no malabsoption and is considered more flexible less invasive and safer.

A Gastric bypass creates a small pouch in the upper section of the stomach; the small

intestine is attached via surgical staples to the pouch sending chyme to the small intestine

bypassing most of the stomach, the entire duodenum and some of the jejunum.

The small pouch holds up to 1 oz (28g) of food.

This surgery is more durable, reliable, and effective and requires no foreign object to

be place into the body.
