William Riley Gaul, the 18-year-old former wide receiver who got kicked off of Tennessee's
Maryville College team after being accused of killing his ex-girlfriend this past November,
has been released from jail after posting the intentionally steep $1 million bond.
The former football player was arrested just a day after allegedly shooting Emma Walker,
his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend, from outside her bedroom as she was sleeping.
According to an indictment transcribed by People, authorities believe that Gaul began
stalking Walker—a former honor student and cheerleader with ambitions to become a neonatal
nurse—in October after the two had broken up.
According to Walker's family, Gaul was upset that she had broken up with him.
Jennifer Weldon, Walker's aunt told the Knoxville News Sentinel,
"She had chosen to move on.
He refused to accept it.
He chose not to accept her wishes."
Two weeks before Walker died, Gaul tweeted, "I'd do anything to have it all back."
His Twitter bio still reads: "Living everyday through Emma Walker.
I love you beautiful and I know you're in a better place now."
Since posting bail, Gaul must wear a GPS monitoring bracelet at all times.
He is set to be arraigned on Monday, February 13.
Gaul has been indicted on a number of criminal charges, including first-degree murder, especially
aggravated stalking, tampering with evidence, and employing a firearm during a dangerous
felony.

Clearly he's not robbing anyone, not even a highly publicized ex.
To be fair though TMZ's initial report did not state that Mill was involved, only that
the robbery seemed personal given that certain items were vandalized, according to an unnamed
source.
The target of the burglary was apparently $200,000 dollars worth of jewelry.
Aside from her robbery, Nicki has been making headlines after reuniting with Drake and Lil
Wayne, making us all eager for a reunion track.
