I'm here to introduce you to our canvas website

so that you will know how to use the portal that will allow you to learn Soc 200

this semester

so, if you hit the home key, it will load up

immediately to this page here, and I will have it published, hopefully, by tonight.

You'll see that there's an introduction video, a link to the syllabus, and some helpful information

about updating your profile, and your notification settings

then you will see the course content is broken into 16 weeks

this is a 16 week course, and every week that we have class

I will post new weekly expectations in the modules

for each week. So, week 1 task list, I don't have the expectations populated yet, but, when it is populated you will know exactly what is expected of you.

and you'll be able to complete it in a timely manner

because we are an online course, I will post my expectations either Sunday night, or Monday morning

and you will have until the next Sunday at 11pm to finish those assignments

I do not accept late assignments

anything unfinished will receive a zero

I think we will have an awesome time! Canvas is a really cool learning system

very easy to use, fun to use, and I look forward to meeting you all online.
