Channel Update - Duration: 2:23.

Hey y'all, welcome back to my channel.

I thought I'd just give y'all a little bit of an update video

because I have some updates.

So as you've probably noticed,

I've been a bit lazy and kind of sloppy in

terms of my uploading schedule, you know,

it's kinda been a bit all over the place,

and I'm here to tell you that... that's most likely probably going to continue.

For real though, I am changing from like a weekly basis to like a

fortnightly basis, just because I am going into year 12,

and I'm probably going to be a bit all over the place.

I'm doing a lot of things this year.

But anyways, recently I watched a video by the amazing Kat Blaque

in which she has a kind of call to action

and she encourages us to share our stories and

experiences, and kind of fight back.

It was actually really inspiring, I'll put the link down below.

But it has inspired me to start a new series here on my channel.

As you all know, I'm very big on education

and having proper thought-out discussions

on, you know, certain and topics and

current events and issues and those sorts of things.

And so, here on my channel, I'm gonna start a series called, "Let's Talk About."

It's pretty self-explanatory really, basically we

just have discussions here on my channel

and, you know, have a healthy exchange of ideas.

Obviously I'll still be doing collabs and other weird videos here on my channel,

But I really want to encourage and engage in healthy discussion,

and to really amplify conversations that are already being had

but, you know, bring them here onto my channel.

Lastly, I have even more good news,

I am now a writer for an online magazine called:

The Affinity Magazine

I've already published my very first article there,

and I've just submitted a second one,

so I'll put all the links down below that, you know, y'all should go check out.

So yeah, this is all very exciting,

I hope you all bare with as my channel grows and takes a few chances,

and I hope, you know, not to be too cheesy or too corny,

but I hope you all enjoy the ride.

I hope you all have a fabulous week and as always,

I want you to remember to

Stay fierce, ladies.

Bye!

Learn English - Weekly Tip 17 for Chinese Speakers - to marry (with?) somebody (with subtitles) - Duration: 2:09.

Hi again everyone, and welcome back to 'One

English Tip in One Minute for Chinese

Speakers (and its many language varieties)'. In these videos, I show you each week,

like clockwork -- in detail -- one common

English mistake made by Chinese speakers,

and this is video number of seventeen.

So, yeah, it's a very cool, smart and

practical thing for you to do to try to

improve your English, and I hope you keep

it up...and I hope these videos are

helping you. In these videos, I show you a slide, and on the slide there are two sentences:

One is the correct way that someone who

speaks English as a mother tongue would

say it,

the other is the wrong way that many

Chinese speakers say it. Your task is

to decide which one is correct. Do

that now. Read the sentences,

listen to me read the sentences, pause

the video and think about your answer...

and I will discuss the answer in the

slide that follows this next slide.

If you got this wrong -- or you just

took a wild guess and got it right, but

didn't know why --

hopefully you now understand from that

second slide why you got it wrong, or how

you say it right. From here, I think

it's very important that you study

sentences to try to get past this

mistake. I've given you three

sentences you can study from. Memorize

them, drill them into your brain, put into

practice what you've learned through

speaking or writing or both...and you

might make mistakes at first, but just

kind of repeat the cycle and eventually

you will get it. And it's always nice to

learn from resources outside of this

video, as well.
