The Man Who Flew - Audio Short Film (HD) - Duration: 3:09.

I am thirty three minutes and twenty two seconds late as I pushed the door open to my open

concept office.

The meeting had already begun.

They warned me twice about coming in late.

I am pretty sure I am going to be fired today.

Thirty three minutes is a bit too much.

No, I shouldn't think that.

I must stay positive.

I do have a damn good reason for my delay.

I approached my cabin inconspicuously or so I thought, but Gregory, the CEO paused his

speech and turned towards me.

"You are thirty four minutes late Tim.

What happened?"

"I was actually out early.

But while I was entering the train station I saw a guy looking up at the new high rise

that appeared yesterday.

I watched him for sometime as I still had some time left to catch the train.

He looked a bit concerned.

I looked up to see what he was looking but I couldn't see anything.

So I decided to ask him.

As I approached him from his rear, he took off.

He started flying with a great speed.

I was shocked, amazed and quite frankly, scared.

Within seconds I couldn't even see him.

So, I thought 'maybe I could also fly!'.

I tried to focus on the man who flew or at least on the trail he left behind.

I kept focussing on the sky with a concerned look for a long time.

I saw a guy approaching me on my rear.

I wanted to ask him whether he saw the guy who flew.

But before I could say anything I took off!

I flew, with a great speed" I clapped "It's just that, it took a long time to

get used to the maneuver.

But I can fly now."

I looked at Gregory and my colleagues for reaction, expecting nothing short of disbelief.

But they had pity written all over their face.

Pity?!

But I can fly … Finally Gregory broke the silence and said

"We all can fly Tim.

Humans can now fly starting early this morning, 6:30am EST . Men, women, babies, disabled,

homeless everyone can fly.

We all flew to our jobs today and guess what?

As usual you are late!"

My mouth must have been open the whole time as he said "Close your mouth and close the

door on your way out.

You are fired."

Moments later he resumed his speech and my colleagues went back to ignoring me.

I picked my bag up, slowly walked towards the nearest window and looked out.

The sky was filled with people who already mastered the maneuver, with phones glued to

their heads and coffees in their hands.

I effortlessly jumped out.

I know that this is a bizarre upload.

But this is part of my 'audio short film' collection where I turn all my short stories

into small films.

Video in D2L Overview - Duration: 1:45.

This playlist will show you how to create and share video in D2L

Before we begin, let's do a quick overview of how this system works

and how to best use this playlist.

The video system we'll be using,

sometimes referred to as Kaltura,

is essentially a YouTube for D2L.

Videos are hosted on the system

and can be embedded virtually anywhere in a course.

This system is open to all faculty, staff, and students at the university.

Now let's look at the process for this system.

The first step is to create a video.

This can be done with Kaltura's free app, CaptureSpace Lite,

by creating a video using an editing program such as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, or Camtasia,

or by simply shooting a video on your smartphone.

Next, the video is uploaded into D2L.

Finally, the video can be inserted into any course where you're enrolled.

This playlist gives you the ability to navigate to exactly the information you need.

For instance, if you are planning on creating video with your phone,

you can skip the tutorials on CaptureSpace Lite or uploading media

and simply start with How to Upload iPhone/iPad Video into D2L.

You can navigate to the tutorial you need

by either choosing the video on the right side of the page

or, if you are watching an embedded playlist,

choosing from the drop-down menu in the upper left of the video.

If you don't have access to this list of other tutorials,

make sure you're watching the playlist by going to this link.

The list of tutorials in the playlist may change over time

as the video system changes and new instructions are needed.

So choose a tutorial video and let's get started creating and adding video to your D2L course.
