hello friends, today m going to teach you designer dress for girls
the measurement is like this
total length of dress 37 inch
length of bodice 15 inch
shoulder to shoulder width 11 inch
shoulder length 7 inch
chest 36 inch
waist 31 inch
length of hips 24 inch
hips 39 inch
half bottom circumference 20 inch
length of front neck 5 inch
length of back neck 3 inch
neck width 6 inch
sleeves length 20 inch
half arm round 4.5 inch
this is my q.25 meter of fabric but it is closed from both sides
so from one closed side fold fabric equal to half bottom width + 1.5 inch i.e 20/2=10+1.5=11.5 inch
so i'll fold this up to 11.5 inch and then proceed further
after folding, now at first mark at bodice length + 1 inch from top i.e 15+1=16 inch
and from this part we cut our bodice piece
and for this, from closed side take half of shoulder to shoulder width + 0.5 inch i.e 11/2= 5.5 + 0.5=6 inch
and from this point, mark shoulder length i.e 7 inch and cross mark it by 6 inch from closed side
take 0.5 inch less also and now join these points to upper point like we do in simple kurtis
at shoulder length, take 1/4 of chest + 2 inch width wise i.e 36/4=9+2=11 inch, mark at 9 and 11 inch
at at bodice length line, take 1/4 of waist + 2 inch i.e 31/4=7.75+2=9.75, mark at 7.75 and 9.75 inch
mark these two points to chest points in slant manner
now we front and back sleeves curving and make 0.5 inch shoulder length line
first mark half neck width i.e 3 and mark 0.5 inch on shoulder length and then make a slant line
after that we do cutting of this and then separate back piece and then make design on front piece
after separating back piece,at first we make our neck portion and after that we insert pleats
from top mark 10 inch lengthwise and cross mark it width 3.5 inch and now we make design in this portion
first make a a bit curve till this point and make a bit slant line till end of bodice length
and now cut this
but before that we also cut the lower part of designer dress
and for this we place this bodice piece 0.5 inch above on lower fabric and mark our hip length from top
hip length is 24 inch + 0.5 inch i.e 24.5 inch and on this point we mark our hip circumference
i.e 39/4=9.75 inch and then add 1.5 inch for sewing seam
now join these marks to waist length mark in a curve manner
now again from top, mark total length of dress + 3 inch i.e 37 + 3=40 inch
at total length line, mark half of bottom width + 1.5 inch width wise i.e 20/2=10+1.5=11.5 inch
after that join this mark to hip length mark and this will be our lower part of dress
now we separate it and cut the outer line of this lower part
after cutting this i'll proceed further
after cutting of bottom part, now we cut neck portion and front design part
after cutting design, now from this remaining fabric we cut our sleeves and after that i'll teach you how to make design on bodice piece
now we take the designer part of front bodice piece and on this mark 1 inch from sleeve side and make sure it is straight
now take this lace and place it on right side and sew it at both boundaries and then cut it
after that mind 1 inch gap and again sew this lace further and like this we sew this lace on both piece
and leave the middle portion as it is
now place this lace on it again and sew it and like this minding 1 inch gaps we sew lace on side parts of whole bodice
after stitching lace on both sides of bodice i'll proceed further
after that, now sew this middle pat matching right to right like this
the high bust point must match at the corner
like in the same way we sew the other side piece too
this is our ready front designer bodice piece and now we insert zip in back piece which i've already taught you
after inserting zip, now we sew front bodice with lower part matching right to right and center to center
and after that we join our shoulders
after joining shoulders, now we take this 2 inch wide slant strip and sew it alongside neck portion like this
fold strip a bit like this and sew it taking zip part too
now mark small cuts and fold it to wrong side like we do in our back neck
after doing hemming on neck strip, now we mark fitting line on both sides and sew it and after that join sleeves
and fold it from bottom up to our required length
after doing all this i'll upload an image of it
