the first flower fight

on promenade des anglais
it happens at the same place till now but at first
it was just humble bouquet give and takes
from carriages decorated
with flowers. and today it is huge
great carnival parades
with participantion of dancers,
acrobates and musicians
about 20 flower platforms participate
in that parade usually
you can watch a parade sitting
on high tribune or just standing on a street
along which the procession moves
performing a couple of circles
but in my opinion
tribunes are for old people and family with small children
when you stand in first raw on the street
you become a participant
of all this crazy activity
preparation for every flower fight
is very hard work
all florists get flowers two days before the parade
during those two days they decorate platforms
which already constructed
90% of flowers are shipped
from local provencal farms
seedlings of roses, daisies, irises
and many others flowers
planted in advance in november
the star of these parades is mimosa
as a symbol of Nice and spring in Provence
but the results of such hard work
live just a couple of hours
in the end of every parade all platforms
will literally be taken apart
and all the flowers are thrown into hands of happy audience
everyone can go home with a bouquet of beautiful flowers
a size of which is dependent on ones agility
because a lot of people want to get a lot of flowers
during these parades
but real fights never happen there
and everyone can decorate their own home or just a room in a hotel
using deserved trophy

RACISMO XENOFOBIA Y NACIONALISMO EN RUSIA - Duration: 8:30.
Hi, everyone. I am filming this because of the request I received some time ago.
Firstly, I should tell that a few years ago the center for sociological research showed that
half of the Russian population claims that in their opinion,
intolerance towards ethnical minorities has grown in recent times.
According to the Russian Center for Public Opinion Research,
three of every four respondents consider the labor immigration process as a negative fact.
One of every two residents is in favor of the hardening of the state's emigrational legislation.
With all this, would you think we can call Russia a tolerant country? I do not believe it.
Xenophobia is a primary instinct in our human sprecies.
The separation between "the ours" and "the others" for thousands of years was protecting us from many dangers to which we were disposed.
This phenomenon still exists in every culture and in any country.
The contempt, the fear and the ignorance that people feel
leads to intolerance and in extreme cases - to racism and exclusionary nationalism.
I recently found a video of one Spanish woman whose parents came to Barcelona from Africa.
What she said of course can not be called a pleasant experience.
Because of the obstacles to find a good job, and because of the disdain that was coming from random people in the street and things like that.
This video blog made me think about the situation in my own country.
Because really there is not enought information about this.
In Russia exists an impressive number of nationalities. In every large city many immigrants from other countries find homes.
According to the official data, each year to Russia come near 7 million legal and illegal immigrants.
More than 80% of them are from ex-Soviet republics like Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Tajikistan.
In the Soviet Union the governmental propaganda was trying to destroy the phenomenon of xenophobia.
The ideology insisted on multiculturalism, friendship and since the first step of education system
people knew the values as respect and tolerance towards people of other cultures.
It all began at the time of the fall of the Soviet regime. In the 1990s, the economic situation was destabilized
factories and businesses were closing, which meant the influx of people from small towns to big cities.
Infrastructure was gradually developed thanks to this flow of workers and the improvement of public services.
Since 2008 began the rebirth of Russia, the economy was improving and therefore wages were raised.
So soon after we began to see huge number of immigrants from Asian republics in our neighborhoods.
And this is when finally started this casual talks, kind of
"these people have no culture, no education, they are dirty and they show bad example to our children"
"they deprive our work places, they reproduce like the rabbits", etc
Here, immigrants of Central Asia never really look upon as people worthy of a simple conversation.
They are ignored and often offended. Russian people are blind to their problems,
but if something happens that bothers the Russians, they even begin to show aggression towards strangers.
Paradoxically, 80% of Russians say that crime has no nationality and at the same time,
they constantly repeat that immigrants comment on 70% of crimes
although this data is not correct, the real percentage is lower.
And I must say that against labor immigrants, so hated in Russia, also commit serious crimes that are not even properly investigated.
So I personally believe that the people of my country have the wrong habit
of separating the population into "good citizens" and "bad immigrants."
An acquaintance of mine fell in love with a boy whose parents came to Russia from Central Asia.
When the parents learned that these young people were going out together
they were trying to put obstacles, mildly speaking. They simply wanted to destroy their relationship
and didn´t matter by what means. The girl's parents lied to her shamelessly and even spied on her.
Each time the girl tried to explain to her relatives that he was neither a drug dealer nor a serial killer, there was a quarrel.
The only thing they knew about this man was his name.
Finally I want to say that nationalism and racism are bad things not only for obvious reasons, that it´s totally amoral and antihuman.
But also because it is a superficial approach.
People from the economically developed part of the world see only the result of problems in poor countries
from where the vast majority of immigrants comes.
Without thinking well about the real reason.
Many do not consider that their lifes are already hard enough, in eternal search for employment and means to subsist.
And the hunger they probably suffer is the consequence of global politics and the capitalist system, that is interested in the situation,
in which the third world countries are sunk in poverty and the lack of recourses.
By the way, on our planet there are natural recourses for everyone, even though they are poorly distributed.
Below one of my videos somebody asked me a curious question
"Do you think it would be better if people also were autochthonous, or should they live in other places that is not where motherland?
...because this is exactly what caused a lot of nasty conflicts in the world… "
I can respond in the following way
I personally think that we do not have to think in terms of "being native" or not.
Firstly, because we practically do not have "native" ancestors,
throughout the history the human was constantly moving around the world, through the lands and cities.
Secondly, because the borders of world´s countries are arbitrary, that is, relative.
Countries like Israel or Germany are good examples.
And the third reason is the following: if we judge the term "autochthonous" strictly,
we would have to consider that none of us are autochthonous except the Africans,
because there, as we know from school, developed the Homo sapiens.

through life blaming everyone else in
the circumstances for what's happening
to them they also alienate the people
around the guy's incredible freedom
comes from taking total responsibility
Nietzsche said freedom is the will to be
responsible to ourselves I think if you
look at people that have low self-esteem
it's usually tied to their taking you
know their responsibility take owning
their lives and what's sad about this is
it affects everything in their lives
their relationships their happiness
their growth their success but luckily
it's an easy fix
well that may be the wrong word but it's
attainable it's doable it just requires
taking responsibility owning everything
that happens in your life so focally
said it's a painful thing to look at
your own trouble and know that you
yourself and no one else that made it
guys taking responsibility gives you
control of your life it's been said that
thoughts are things you know what you
think about is really your reality but
i'll say there's a missing piece and
that's taking responsibility they need
to take responsibility

great at beating ourselves up i'm
talking about taking responsibility big
