A Mystery VOID is PUSHING our Galaxy through

the universe at 1.2 million mph.

For the first time ever, experts researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have

found that not only is our galaxy being PULLED, it also is being PUSHED by something.

A new study recently published in Nature Astronomy describes a previously UNKNOWN, supermassive

region in our extragalactic neighborhood largely empty of galaxies, which is exerting a REPELLING

FORCE on our local group of galaxies.

Even though you may think you are still, you never are.

Did you know that you are actually living on a planet that spins on its own axis, orbiting

a star (our Sun) which is orbiting a galaxy which in turn is moving at mind-boggling speed?

Even though you may not feel it, everything is in constant motion:

Our planet spins on its axis at about 1,600 km/h; it orbits around the sun at about 100,000

km/h; the sun orbits our Milky Way galaxy at about 850,000 km/h; and the Milky Way galaxy

and its companion galaxy Andromeda are moving with respect to the expanding universe at

roughly 2 million km/h (630 km per second).

But what is propelling the Milky Ways race through space?

It turns out that there is a MYSTERY VOID which is literally pushing the Milky Way through

the universe at a mind-bending speed of 1.2 Million miles per hour.

Push and pull: Illustration by Daniel Pomarde shows the Shapley Attractor and the Dipole

Reppeler.

Previously, experts thought that our galaxy was speeding through the universe because

it was being pulled to a specific, dense part of the universe due to that regions gravity.

However, a new study has shown differently.

It turns out that the Milky Way is being swung across the universe by a so-called EXTRAGALACTIC

VOID, in a process scientists call a kind of galactic tug-of-war.

While our galaxies journey through space has remained a mystery for decades, a new three-dimensional

map has offered new insight into the mystery.

Previously, experts believed that a dense region of the universe was pulling our galaxy

toghether with neighboring galaxiestowards it which its gravity: believed to be equivalent

to a gravitational force equivalent to a million billion suns.

The culprit: The Great Attractor, a region of clusters of galaxies 150 million light

years from the Milky Way.

However, researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem now say that not only is our

galaxy being PULLED, it also is being PUSHED by something.

A new study recently published in Nature Astronomy describes a previously UNKNOWN, supermassive

region in our extragalactic neighborhood largely empty of galaxies, which is exerting a REPELLING

FORCE on our local group of galaxies.

Professor Yehuda Hoffman, lead author of the paper says: By 3D mapping the flow of galaxies

through space, we found that our Milky Way galaxy is speeding away from a large, previously

unidentified region of low density.

Furthermore, Professor Hoffman explains:

Because it repels rather than attracts, we call this region the Dipole Repeller.

In addition to being pulled towards the known Shapley Concentration, we are also being pushed

away from the newly discovered Dipole Repeller.

Thus it has become apparent that push and pull are of comparable importance at our location.

With the aid of super-powerful telescopes, including the world-famous Hubble Space Telescope,

researchers were able to create a 3D map of our universe.

The newly generated map helped experts identify the so-called Dipole Repeller, and researchers

were able to reconcile both the direction of the Milky Ways motion.

Top 10 VR Games So Far | Best Oculus, Vive, PSVR games - Duration: 11:58.

At number 10 is Arizona Sunshine

Be a badass zombie killer in this virtual reality game that puts your deepest zombie

fantasies in the forefront.

Survive in a post-apocalyptic Arizona filled with bloodthirsty undeads.

Find solace as you receive a distress call from a radio.

But before act on it, arm yourself in its wide range of weapons.

With the VR in place, use its movement-based weapon tracking to shoot these vile creatures

to their doom.

Explore its sun-soaked world, loot items, and experience the thrill of the infestation

like never before.

If you feel lonely, better grab a friend in its co-op mode.

Arizona Sunshine is among the finest VR games released to date.

The story-mode alone may be enough to justify its price.

And yes, the main complaints is with the game's price.

It has a PlayScore of 7.97

9th in the list is Redout

Inspired by the vertigo-inducing racing games such as WipeOut, F-Zero and more.

Strap in your seat belts and prepare for a fast and frenetic ride across the game's

rich variety of tracks, cars and power-ups.

Set in a world where humanity has advanced in civilizations and interstellar travel,

experience an arcade racer like never before.

Powered by the powerful Unreal Engine 4, beat your friends in competitive multiplayer or

simply progress through the game's extensive career mode that spans with over 100 levels

and realistic handling.

It's one of VR's fastest racing games to date and it kind of reminds us of Pod-Racing.

Redout has a PlayScore of 7.98

Ranked number 8 is Job Simulator

With the growing popularity of Virtual Reality, we're gonna expect more games to de-stress

ourselves from the burden of real life responsibilities.

This is where Owlchemy Games excels at.

The joy of doing basically stupid things to your not-so ordinary job is enjoyable enough.

Do you want to throw a stapler at your robot boss?

Cook a hotdog filled with hot-sauce?

Or I don't know, just mess things up?

It's all up to you.

The developers really studied how the tracking movements work, making you feel like you're

really controlling the player.

It's one of the finest VR launches from the HTC and Oculus and it's the kind of

game that puts our job-hatred to the test.

Job Simulator has a PlayScore of 8.00

In 7th place is Headmaster

Once again, the latest Virtual Reality games might not necessarily put something realistic

to the test as of the moment.

Instead, they gave us a game that throws our football fantasies into something different…

and really odd.

Reeducate yourselves in the Football Improvement Center in this game that doesn't really

take football very seriously.

It's a fun and somewhat stupid game to check your VR's head tracking.

The goal of the game is simple, use your head to score goals and obtain the highest score

among your friends.

Don't ask why.

Ask why not?

Just use your head.

This is a surprise hit.

It's not the cool sports VR game that we've been waiting for.

It's something unique, a completely unique experience that may be a worthy addition to

your VR games library.

This PlayStation VR exclusive has a PlayScore 8.07

Six is Tethered

This game puts you into the hands of a Spirit Guardian set in a land full of creatures called

Peeps.

Play like a God and guide these little critters to their salvation and not for doom.

Replenish its beautiful interconnected islands and nurture the world you are bound to protect.

The game's core feature lies in its Tethering System, which gave meaning to the game's

title.

Just like any strategy-driven game, this is your ability to control these inhabitants

to harvest, build, and survive in its seamless day and night cycle.

At nightfall, terrifying creatures lurk the night and it's up to you to help them through

any means necessary.

Don't worry for at the break of dawn, the game will return to its vibrant atmosphere.

With the PlayStation VR's depth, this is a brilliant experience for young and old players.

Prepare by day, survive by night.

It has a PlayScore of 8.24

Fifth in this ranking is Werewolves Within

This makes game night all the more fun.

Ubisoft's take on Virtual Reality gives us the digital freedom to silently judge our

friends in a fast-paced hidden roles game.

Set in the medieval times, a werewolf is hiding and terrorizing the village.

Among these five or eight character lies a deeper mystery that craves for blood.

Who could it be?

Of course that's where the roles come in.

You will be assigned with a specific villager to portray in accordance the game's rulebook.

Once decided, the main goal of this game is to play by your character and find out the

mystery hidden behind the other villagers.

Who among you are the villagers…And who's the real werewolf?

In whatever VR you choose, you will be pitted in a constant battle of deduction and personal

judgment.

Can you crack the code before someone snaps?

It has a PlayScore of 8.29

Number 4 is Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes

Virtual Reality is a good playground for fun party games.

This one takes it to the extreme.

Some say it ruins friendships, strengthen bonds or enhance communication.

But how can someone do that when you need to keep talking?

The game's main premise is simple, one player is trapped in a room with a randomly generated

time bomb; the other players are in a separate room with a manual necessary to defuse it.

But here's the crazy thing, they can't see the bomb!

Of course, communication is key.

Anyone can play this game and it's not always necessary to play it on the VR.

But the feeling of sweat and tension from the other voice channel makes for a very thrilling

experience.

The game receives positive acclaim due to its innovation and a good social experience.

It has a PlayScore of 8.48 on the Oculus/HTC

Third in the ranking is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Capcom's impressive return to the decaying franchise gives its first mastercrafted game

in a long, long time.

Experience the terrors of survival-horror once more as the game goes back to its roots.

They're not kidding and it's absolutely scary as hell.

Play as Ethan Winters, your regular man who stumbles himself in the Baker Residence to

find her missing wife.

Things go haywire as you find out the inhabitants are craaaaay-zy.

Utilize the PS VR's gear and immerse into the game's atmospheric nature and a whole

new first-person perspective.

From the gloomy music, creepy hallways and creaking floors…

Oh, boy.

A critical acclaim since its release, Resident Evil is back.

Better pack up your extra diapers because this game gladly welcomes you into the family's

madhouse.

It receives a PlayScore of 8.67

Second is Thumper

Music fanatics will be happy in Drool's oddly satisfying rhythm game.

Coining the term, "Rhythm Violence", be a space-beetle in a voyage through the colorful

void of the expanse.

Face off with a mysterious entity before you and time your thumping as you engage in an

upbeat battle of intense musical brutality.

This game won so many awards and received universal acclaim due to its unique gameplay,

a darker atmosphere compared to most rhythm games and of course the soundtrack.

Playing the game on VR is optional unless you want to put yourself deep into its flashy

atmosphere But compared to most rhythm games, Thumper is a completely different beast when

played on VR.

Thumper has a PlayScore of 8.77

Here are the Runners-Up before we reveal the number one:

11.

Batman: Arkham VR.

RockSteady's award winning Arkham franchise finally decides to put you into the shoes,

or the cowl of the Caped Crusader.

Step into the world of Gotham once more and experience it like never before.

Use his powerful gadgets and solve a mystery that could change the course of Batman's

life.

It has a PlayScore of 7.89

12.

Bound.

A game that feels more like a performance art than a videogame.

Nevertheless, it's a wonderful platformer that dazzles with graceful movements, responsive

controls and a living breathing world to bind into.

It has a PlayScore of 7.89

13: Wayward Sky.

A charming point and click adventure game that takes VR into its artistic form.

Use gesture-based movements and get your heart soothed by its immersive ambiance.

It has a PlayScore of 7.88

14: The Solus Project.

Another exploration game powered by the Unreal Engine 4.

Survive your way into a hostile foreign planet and solve the looming mystery that lies in

it.

But be careful, your main character is the last living hope since Earth's downfall.

It has a PlayScore of 7.51

15: Elite: Dangerous.

A massively multiplayer space exploration game.

If No Man's Sky was done right, it could've been this.

But that's not the case, right?

Voyage through the great beyond and get ready to encounter foreign entities, engage in space

battles and take Virtual Reality to its full potential.

It has a PlayScore of 7.30

And the best Virtual Reality game so far is Rez Infinite

A remake of the classic 2001 rail-shooter that fills your screen with pulsating geometric

shapes and digital lights.

Take control of your avatar as he floats into the vastness of a supernetwork to shoot foes.

Each time the you hit targets, the game inputs a rhythmic sound that creates a form of synesthesia.

It can be played without VR....

But if you want to experience Rez Infinite in all its glory, then you better put on your

PSVR.

Critics praise its exhilarating gameplay, beautiful soundtrack and the glorious revisiting

of one of PlayStation's cult classics.

Rez Infinite easily tops the best VR game on our list with

a PlayScore

of 8.87

IDA B WELLS: The Princess of the Press - Duration: 11:02.

On July 16th 1862, two Mississippi slaves, James and Elizabeth Wells, welcomed their

first child, Ida into the world.

Under chattel slavery, she was born a slave, but that would change 6 months after her birth,

when the Civil War ended and the Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves.

In Holly Springs Mississippi, her parents were enslaved by Bolling Spires, a contractor,

and after legalized slavery ended, they agreed to continue working for them.

While some things would remain the same, change was on the horizon and post slavery racial

tensions would change their lives and the life of their newborn.

James and Elizabeth were both Republicans that were very politically involved.

James was part of a political group called the Loyal League and he helped establish the

first Historically Black College, Shaw University where he sat on the board of trustees.

The freedmen of Holly Springs outnumbered the white men and the growing prosperity of

black people gave the Ku Klux Klan an excuse to terrorize groups invested in uplifting

the black race; especially the Loyal League.

While this made the Wells nervous, it didn't stop them from teaching their children the

importance of education and political literacy.

Ida started her education at a very young age and attended Shaw University during her

teen years.

She was a good student, but she often found herself in conflict with the University's

mostly white faculty.

In 1878, she left school to visit her Grandmother and during that time there was a Yellow Fever

Outbreak in the Mississippi Valley.

Her Grandmother lived outside of Holly Springs and when Ida got news from her home town,

it was a bit unexpected.

A mail carrier came with a letter telling Ida that both of her parents had passed away

in her absence.

She fainted almost immediately and when she recovered she wanted to return to Holly Springs

as soon as possible to attend to her siblings.

However, her family wouldn't let her return until they received news that the area was

clear of the Yellow Fever.

By the time she returned, she learned that one of her siblings had also passed away.

James and Elizabeth had buried one of their children two years previously and with the

passing of another child, there were now only six of them.

At this point most of the children had yellow fever.

Initially, there were plans of splitting the children up, but Ida was determined to keep

her family together.

She knew now that she would have to become the breadwinner.

Wells had been taking two year teaching course at Shaw University and decided that she would

adjust her appearance to make herself appear older and take the teaching certification

exam.

At the age of 16,she managed to pass and was able to secure a job teaching in Holly Springs.

She would ride on the back of a mule 5 miles from her home to the school and would only

return on the weekends to maintain the house.

She was able to keep her family together for a moment, but ultimately she wasn't unable

to and various family members took over.

Under the encouragement of her aunt Frannie, she moved to Memphis in 1881 where she began

teaching at a school at a dirt road intersection.

She had various teaching jobs in Tennessee and during the summer she attended Fisk University

where she took teaching courses.

She was able to secure a job in Woodstock and she would take the train to and from work

every day.

In 1884, she was returning for her teaching job and had purchased a first class ticket

to sit at the front of the train.

She was asked to move to the smoking cart by the conductor and she refused, stating

that she had paid for her ticket and had the right to seat where she was.

It took three men to physically remove her from her seat and when they did, instead of

going to the smoking cart, she got off on the next stop.

When she returned to Memphis, she immediately contacted a lawyer and was able to sue the

Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Company for $500 in damages.

This was the first case of its kind in the south and it got Ida, who was now a in her

early 20s, a lot of attention.

However, the decision was reversed and she had to return the $500 dollars and pay $200

dollars in court fees.

This was the incident that started her path towards journalism.

She became a figure that many newspapers wanted to cover: the black teacher who stood up to

white supremacy and at least for a moment, won.

She began writing about racism for various Black and Christian themed newspapers under

the pen name Lola.

By 1889, she became a partner at the Free Speech and Headlight, a paper owned by Reverend

R Nightingale who encouraged his parishioners to subscriber to her paper.

With her success, she was able to leave behind teaching to pursue journalism full time.

The success of black businesses in Memphis created tension from white competitors.

In 1892, Thomas Moss, Calvin McDowell and Henry Steward owned a small grocery store

called the People's Grocery Company.

A white owned grocer across the street started to lose business.

One night, three men came into the back of the People's Grocery Company and were set

on trashing the business.

One of the owners fought back and shot one of the men.

All three owners, along with a hundred other black men were arrested on suspicion.

One night an all white lynch mob forced its way into the jail, fished out the three owners

and lynched them.

The incident caused so much tension that the sheriff was ordered to shoot, on sight, any

negro who was causing trouble.

This inspired the white population to begin randomly shooting black people.

These men were all personal friends of Wells and she decided to pen an article condemning

lynching and organized black citizens to fight against the practice.

In her article, Southern Horrors: Lynch Law and All its phases, she states that she discovered

that there were 161 black who were lynched in that year alone.

In the Free Speech she wrote:

"The city of Memphis has demonstrated that neither character nor standing avails the

Negro if he dares to protect himself against the white man or become his rival.

There is nothing we can do about the lynching now, as we are out-numbered and without arms.

The white mob could help itself to ammunition without pay, but the order is rigidly enforced

against the selling of guns to Negroes.

There is therefore only one thing left to do; save our money and leave a town which

will neither protect our lives and property, nor give us a fair trial in the courts, but

takes us out and murders us in cold blood when accused by white persons."

This was the incident that sparked Well's career in the fight against Lynching.

The Black Women's Club in Memphis gave her $500 to investigate lynching and she discovered

that black men were often lynched for petty reasons such as not paying a debt, public

drunkenness and simple disrespect to white people.

She also discovered that there were an average of 100 lynching cases per year and in the

space of a month, she covered 8 of them in Memphis alone.

She also discovered that 1/3rd of these lynchings were from accusations that black men were

pursuing relationships with white women.

She stated that violence against them was justified as it was seen as a defense to pure

white womanhood.

She penned an article for the Free speech about how white women would often initiate

these relationships and this angered the white men in the city.

When she was out of town speaking in Philadelphia, a white mob destroyed the office of the Free

Speech and threatened to kill her.

Instead of returning back to Memphis, she decided to relocate in Chicago.

She continued her crusade against lynching in 1893 traveling through the Northeast United

States and Europe.

She helped establish the first Black Women's Civics Club in Chicago and Boston.

She had a strong hand in the establishment of the NAACP, but would later cut ties with

the organization as she disagreed with its mainly white leadership.

The next year, she published A Red Record: Tabulated Statistics and Alleged Causes of

Lynching in the United States 1892-1894.

She made sure to use all white sources so they couldn't be challenged.

She married Ferdinand L Barnette, a lawyer, activist and founder of the one of the first

black papers in Chicago, The Conservator.

After their marriage, she became the owner of the Conservator and became its editor.

She had her first son in 1896 and would have a second the following year.

Her colleagues feared that she would leave her work behind to be a mother, but that wasn't

in her spirit.

She met with President McKinley to speak with him about lynching in South Carolina.

He issued a statement condemning lynching, but no legislation was passed.

She befriended Susan B Anthony and Jane Addams and became a Suffragette.

She marched in the famous 1913 Suffragette March on Washington for a woman's right

to vote.

She was told initially that she would have to march at the end of the parade with other

black women and this made her not want to participate.

However, strong willed as ever, as the parade began, she positioned herself in the front

of the march between two white men who supported the movement.

After World War 1, she wrote about the race riots in Chicago, Arkansas and St. Louis for

the Conservator and Newspapers across the country.

Her time fighting for suffrage inspired her to run for the President of the National Association

of Colored Women 1924.

She was defeated, but that didn't stop her from running for Senator in Illinois in 1930.

She had become frustrated with the lack of action politicians had in addressing the concerns

of Chicago's black ghettos.

She wouldn't win, but would blaze trails for other women to run in the future.

.

Ida B Wells was a trailblazer and she knew this and was quite disappointed that there

wasn't a lot being written or recorded about her life.

So, in the spirit of so many of the things she's done, she decided to pick up a pen

and do it herself.

She started to write her autobiography in 1928 and would pass away on March 25th 1931.

Her Autobiography would later be published with edits from her daughter.

Ida B Wells was so many things: an activist, a social researcher, a community organizer

and more than anything, a writer.

She saw injustice and dedicated her life to shining a light onto it.

She's a testament to how even in the hardest and darkest of times, we should never lose

our will to fight for what we know to be right.

Even if it means putting pen to paper, your voice could be revolutionary.

My Body Changed - Duration: 3:03.

I had breakfast earlier today with my friend James.

And I didn't get to wash my face.

And so I figured I could wash my face

while talking to all of you.

Quality content.

I use this to put on...

to keep my hair out of my face when I do my makeup.

But sometimes I use it for washing my face.

I don't remember where I bought it.

But it's my favorite thing.

Ugh why does my mouth smell...

So I wanted to talk to you about something recent

that has been going on with my body.

Before I moved to California,

um

I wasn't really in a lot of pain in Florida.

I had my normal back pain

but it wasn't to the point where it was hard to walk around places.

I did take breaks every now and then when my legs

felt tired but

for the most part, I never felt

exhausted.

When I moved out here, that changed.

Suddenly my body just

started always being in pain.

When I moved out here, I had a very high fever.

And after that broke, I've just always been in constant pain.

And I didn't really know why, I didn't know if

it was just because I moved here.

Or that everything is so...

spread apart and I have to walk everywhere.

But it really put a toll on me.

I took way more Motrin than I took in Florida.

But so far

today is day 6 or 7.

I haven't been in that kind of pain.

My body

feels like it did in Florida.

And I don't know if that's because

the weather is changing again.

It's going back to being warm.

Or that my body just finally adjusted.

But I'm really happy that I'm not in a lot of pain.

That I can walk now, to the store

and it's fine.

And I'm still tired, and I still have my normal pain.

But I finally feel like

my body's functioning.

Which I haven't felt since I've moved out here.

Hold on, I gotta rinse my face.

(water running)

So, I don't know what it is.

And I'm scared that like

me getting comfortable

that I'm not in the pain that I was in,

when I moved out here.

I'm scared that it's going to go away.

And I'm going to go back to being in a ton of pain.

I still take the precautions that I need to do

to make sure I

don't overexert myself.

Because

sometimes, when I'm not in a lot of pain

I tend to do more than I think

and then that really hurts my body.

So I'm still taking Mortin, I still have back pain.

But my legs are feeling good.

My whole body is

feeling a lot better than it did.

It's been like a week and I'm just

very happy and I hope this continues.

Because I miss how my body was back in Florida.

Well my face is washed and dried and I have lotion.

I feel good.

And thank you for watching.

And I'll see all of you next Wednesday.

bye!
