Waching daily Feb 1 2017

Hi I'm Nichola

Hi I'm Hugh

and this is Seoul Life and it's a look back at our time in Seoul

we haven't done one of these for a little while

it's the middle of winter now

it's so cold

how long have we been in Seoul for?

like 8 months

it's not 8 months it's like 6 months

8 months!

No!

nooo

oh my god

7 months

no, 7 months

we haven't been filming properly for Seoul Life

we've been busy with other stuff

so busy

so lets see what I can find, see what clips I can dig up

show them!

let's show - oh!

I think I've got a little bit from Christmas

here's a little shot of what our Christmas looked like

there!

Bigbang's house

wow

wow

hello bigbang!

hello bigbang!

hello bigbang

hello bigbang

Alice, do 'Manse'

MANSE!

Uncle Hugh don't pee! (Hugh was in bathroom)

Oh yeah, Uncle Hugh needs to see the star

Uncle Hugh!

Uncle Hugh come here

look!

wow!

Alice did it?

You can look closely

Can I look closer?

woahhh

Good job!

You did it?

yes

wow

She's got a weapon

too painful!

Now I transform!

he's so excited

wow

wow wow

wow wow

it's Christmas you can do whatever you want

Joon is it tasty?

I've actually been really enjoying winter in Seoul

It helps that I don't have to go out every single day

like some people

so cold

it's all below 0 at the moment

but in the countryside it will be cold

but the house is in this valley where the wind blows through

and it's not insulated really well

so in Seoul I feel so much warmer because our whole apartment is warm

where as in the countryside I feel like I have to rug up the whole time

which I hate

electricity bill...

but even if we don't put the ondol (heated floor) and everything on here

it's pretty good

it's pretty good

yeah the window is like double glass

and it's small

and there's not people coming in

but in the countryside your house is connected to the shop where people are coming in and out

and leaving the door open

so annoying

I know

so I've hated winter in Korea before but I actually really like it in Seoul

and there has been some proper snow and I really like the snow

when it falls really thickly

it's nice

"let it go"

yes

We got strawberries sent from the farm

it's so different now getting them like this

on the farm we just eat them out of the buckets

but this what they look like when they are actually sent

my mother in law puts them all like this

put them in a special way

so we appreciate strawberries a lot more now that we can't just eat them easily

Hi Gyo

are you in your bear suit?

are you tired?

you're sleeping in your bear suit

Okay we are going to do a radio interview, a live radio interview

for TBS

it's live

in the building but this is a new building so it's all fancy

yeah we're going here

okay. are you ready?

So you just saw whatever I found it put on this quick Seoul Life update video

we are still in Seoul, we are really enjoying living in Seoul, right?

YES, very enjoying

very enjoying!

and our battery is about to run out and we don't have the spare battery charged

so we'll do another one soon

yeah we should

we should

Veganism's Puritan Problem Part 1 - Duration: 12:33.

Hey there modern vegans and vegan curious, it's Margaret.

And today, I'm going to be doing part 1 in a series of two

parts in response to Gary Francione's recent video

"''But it's Just a Little Bit' and Dumpster Diving"

In his video, Francione talks about contamination with small amounts of animal products, and

dumpster diving.

In this, part 1 of the series, I'm going to be talking about 'contamination' with small

amounts of animal products.

Let's get to it.

Intro

So on Wednesday, January 25, Gary Francione,

famed professor of Abolitionist Veganism,

released a video discussing two different things:

Contamination with animal products and Dumpster Diving.

And today I'm talking about "contamination" with animal products.

And particularly, Francione's contention that it is non-vegan to eat potatoes that have

been fried in the same oil that has also been used to fry animal products.

In his video, Francione says that if we're to eat something like french fries that have

been fried in oil that has also touched animal products,

what is to prevent us from ordering pasta with cheese,

or another dish that has ground beef sprinkled on top.

Those are the two examples that he uses, and I want to say that yes,

it is completely different, and here's why.

When you're ordering fried potatoes, first of all,

there's a negligible amount of oil animal product within those fried potatoes.

Certainly if you had an allergy to say, fish,

you probably wouldn't want to eat those fried potatoes,

but if you're a vegan, what you don't want to do is to exploit animals.

in fact, in the Vegan Society's definition of veganism,

the idea is to avoid animal products "wherever practicable or possible".

And I do believe this is a case where it is not practicable to completely avoid animal

products.

So in 1949, the Vegan Society defined veganism as

"a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude

- as far as is possible and practicable -

all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to,

animals for food, clothing or any other purpose."

So as far as this definition is concerned,

what we as vegans are doing is trying to avoid - as

far as is practicable or possible - contributing to the

use and exploitation of animals.

Simply stated.

And I think that the case of the fried potatoes is an exception

to that, and I'm going to tell you why.

When you're eating fried potatoes, first of all, as anyone

who knows anything about frying foods, when you're frying

food, the oil is absorbed much more than it is given off.

So in order to fry chicken, that chicken, if it has breading,

is going to be absorbing much more fat than it is actually giving off.

That's just a fact of life when you're frying something.

That's just kind of the way it works.

So there is more oil being absorbed by the breading of that chicken than there is being

given off by the chicken.

But more importantly, when you purchase fried potatoes,

you are not purchasing an animal product.

You are purchasing a plant food, and that's what the money goes toward.

On the ledger of that company, it's going to say fried potatoes

-it's not going to say anything else.

They know that the recipe for those fried potatoes contains no animal products.

And you can check of course - it used to be, for example,

that with - I think it was McDonald's - they were using beef flavouring in their fries.

And of course, if they're using something like that,

then that product is not vegan, because when you're buying it,

you are contributing to the use of animals, and the reason is

because that product explicitly contains animal flavourings,

and that's something that the company knows and they keep track of.

Whereas, with just fried potatoes, if you already asked if it has got beef flavouring,

say it doesn't, it's just potatoes -

then if you're eating fried potatoes that are fried in that oil that's used for everything

else,

your dollars are going towards potatoes.

They're not going towards anything else.

The company is not getting the message "oh, we need to add more beef flavouring," or "oh,

we need to add more beef product".

None of that kind of stuff.

There's no animal products involved in this whatsoever.

It's simply the fact that it has been "tainted",

as Francione might consider it, with animal product.

and the fact that Francione compares this with eating pasta

with cheese on it, or eating a product with beef sprinkled on it-

those would both be recipes.

If you work at a kitchen,

if you have ever worked in a restaurant, or food establishment

and you're given instructions for how to prepare a food,

yes, it is important if someone orders a product that is sprinkled with cheese to know that

product was sprinkled with cheese.

If the dish said "no cheese", then that would be something that would be signalling to the

management that was not in demand.

So, yes, I do think that is important.

Obviously,

if you order pasta, you want to say "no cheese",

that's a very simple and very reasonable decision to make.

And the same with anything that might be sprinkled with ground beef,

if it comes to you with ground beef on it, you can send it back

and say "no, I don't want it with ground beef."

And that's perfectly reasonable.

But when it comes to this issue of the oil being tainted

with the fat of a chicken, it is purely about purity.

And I think that's really important.

I think that a lot of Francione's ideas are puritan.

I don't know if he himself is influenced by a puritan theology,

but he seems to present a form of veganism that is quite puritan in its nature.

The idea that we need to keep ourselves pure from animal products is concerning to me,

and I think it's even going against some of the ideas that Francione presents in his own

books.

If you were to tread the Abolitionist Approach to veganism,

his 2016 book that I reviewed recently,

he makes it very clear that we are not to support the exploitation or use of animals,

that animals are moral beings.

But what he doesn't really explain or explicate so much in that book

is the idea that we also need to avoid any possible contamination with animal products.

And that's what I think the problem is here.

I realized, thanks to many other people who've talked with me about this,

and I've discussed this with some other people,

in order to prepare for this video - but I think that

the challenge for me in this instance is that I think consequences are important.

And I think Gary Francione doesn't.

I think that he cares more about rules.

And for him, the rule,

as he states explicitly in this video,

is that vegans do not consume animal products period.

But I consider that slightly ridiculous,

because we're always using animal products.

If you've ever purchased or used anything made of plastic,

it contains animal products.

And certainly, in my opinion,

this falls into the "practicable" part of veganism.

It is not practicable or possible, in my opinion,

to be using animal-product-free plastic all the time,

because it simply doesn't exist.

If you're going to

use plastic wrap, if you're going to use waxed paper,

if you're going to eat something at a restaurant that uses waxed paper,

then you're automatically non-vegan if it's the mere

contamination with a single cell of that animal organism that

renders you non-vegan.

I think it's not just even about intent,

it has to be about consequence.

And this is my own personal philosophical viewpoint,

but I think that the idea that we can't "sully ourselves"

with animal products is problematic.

I think the notion that we can keep ourselves "pure"

from any contact with animals that have been misused

is impossible.

We live in a world that is built on animal

exploitation.

And that is a tragedy, and I think that our job as vegans is letting the world know that

we don't want to contribute to the profitability of that,

but we can't end the use of it completely without being part of the system.

It's simply impossible.

I've mentioned previously on this channel that if you walk on pavement,

you're talking advantage of animal products,

because asphalt contains animal products.

If you ride in a car that uses biofuel,

you are likely taking advantage of animals as well,

because most biofuel contains tallow, or beef fat.

And even if you were to take public transportation,

you're still getting exposed to a small amount of that.

And I think that is not dissimilar from what Francione is talking about in this video.

If you are to eat those potatoes, it's no different from riding the subway, from taking

a bus,

from doing almost anything else that we would do in our daily lives.

We're always going to be coming into contact with animal products,

until we eliminate them.

The more important question for me is "how do we eliminate them?

And I think we eliminate them by letting people know that they are not profitable.

By not contributing to profit centres.

And I suppose this is rather Utilitarian of me,

and it's simply the way my mind works,

but I think we should not be contributing to the ongoing use

of animals, and the ongoing profitability of animal use.

Eating those fries is in no way contributing to either one of those things.

If you eat french fries, you are not saying that

"we need to keep frying chicken", number one - I mean,

you're not in any way contributing to the demand for fried chicken by eating a fried

potato.

And you're not saying it's okay, either.

I think that the far more important thing is to advocate for animals in other parts

of your life, but those potatoes -

I'm sorry, Francione, but that has nothing to do with it.

And your personal purity is not the issue here.

The issue, in my view, is the suffering, use and abuse of animals.

We need to be ending that.

We need to be sending the message loudly and clearly that we do not support the use or

abuse of animals, that we don't support their exploitation -

that's what we need to be sending across.

Not the idea that it's somehow impure to eat a potato that has touched a chicken.

It reminds me more, in fact, of religious law surrounding purity from the Old Testament.

It seems to have far more to do with that than it does with anything else.

This may simply be my philosophical and ethical standpoint,

but I would really love to hear from you guys.

I want to know

what you think about this, do you eat french fries?

Or items that are cooked on a stove that is also used for animal products?

Where do you draw the line?

Because for me,

I have to draw the line at consequence, and intent

because in order to draw the line at contamination -

there's so many things that - I mean, I live in Canada.

I couldn't use our currency, I couldn't use a credit card,

which is also produced on a machine that uses tallow -

it becomes absolutely impossible.

And in my mind, that's where we absolutely need to be focusing on the consequences of

our behaviour.

Because ultimately, to me, consequence is what matters.

But I really want to know what you guys think,

I want to know if you would eat those potatoes or not,

do you think Francione is right?

Please let me know, because this is something that has been bothering me since I saw the

video.

Not bothering me because I'm concerned that he's right,

but bothering me in that, I think he is fundamentally leading

the vegan movement down the wrong path.

So I'd love to hear what you guys have to think about this.

If you liked this video, please like, share and subscribe.

And let me know down below what you think about it.

Thank you so much for watching,

and I will see you in my next video, where I'll be discussing dumpster diving.

Take care.

Bye.

Tyrsa and Yué Wu celebrate #LunarNewYear with Tilt Brush - Duration: 3:23.

I've always had an interest in Calligraphy in a broad sense

Whether it was Arabic or Chinese

I haven't had the chance to assimilate this vast knowledge yet

Historically there's been 5 steps in the evolution of ideograms

From something that looked more like a pictogram

Which is an image linked to senses and a sound

Up to standardized writing that we find today

But within the structure of an ideogram

What's interesting is that it all fits in a square

Always from left to right, and top to bottom

There's a craft of broad and fine strokes

Broad is when you push on the pencil

Thinner when you draw gently

There's a tension

The horizontal line is often described as a bone

Because it's stretched

Some contemporary artists like Xu Bing who have distorted these

to create characters that look like Chinese ideograms

but are composed of an alphabet readable by westerners

"Art For The People" looks like Chinese characters but when you look closely

you can decipher "a", "r", "t" and so on

In my work, in the very traditional typographer's work, which I draw inspiration from

There's also this craft of broad and fine strokes

When you draw going down it's going to look broader

And thinner going up

That's something you find in all these cursive fonts

This is what holds and gives the energy

We can feel the movements of the artist, this flow

that seems natural

I'm really excited to get to work with you on the Tilt Brush

We're going to be able to express our movements freely using it

What's fascinating about all of what we've discussed on calligraphy

and typography, it's that idea of gesture.

In all of our work there's a sense a dynamic gesture, of fluidity of spontaneity

And you find all this in Tilt Brush perfectly

You choose your tool just like in real life, a brush, a quill

Many different things

And you'll find that natural gesture spontaneously, just as if you were living it

for real in 3D, it's incredible.

There's depth added to it. The stroke of a brush on a piece of paper is flat 2D

And now we're discovering 3D, you can interact with it

Walk into it, you can walk out, it's mad.

It's just completely mad.

Pretty nice!

Happy new year, man!

[Danny:] (Dark places, dark places)

(Dark places, dark places) (Dark places, dark places)

(Dark places, dark places)

I've come way too far for this I've put in too much work

I've dealt with too much hurt I've worked way too hard for this

But we live in dark places, dark places I've come way too far for this

I've put in too much work I've dealt with too much hurt

I've worked way too hard for this But we live in dark places, dark places

[J-Dog:] People say that I'm pissed off

Cause I like to shit talk But people are fake

So just wait till their jaws lock Tick-a-ti-tick-tock

The click of the wrist watch Time is running out

On my way to the tip-top So fuck it, I can't stop

Been waiting for too long Started my own plot

It's starting with this song Damned if I'm dead wrong

Who wants to fight a lion?

Motherfuckers who hate Just wait for me to die trying

Like I'm gonna stop now?

Like I'm gonna cop out?

Show these motherfuckers I ain't willing to drop out

So maybe I'm pissed off Because I've been ripped off

This industry's a bitch and she'll rip your dick off

Famous and broke And into a joke

But I've come way too far Not giving up hope

I'll keep breaking my back And I ain't gonna choke

Show these faggots on top That I keep climbing the rope

[Danny:] I've come way too far for this

I've put in too much work I've dealt with too much hurt

I've worked way too hard for this But we live in dark places, dark places

I've come way too far for this I've put in too much work

I've dealt with too much hurt I've worked way too hard for this

But we live in dark places, dark places

[Johnny 3 Tears:] When you come from nothing

You wanna die for something So I started to run

And just kept on gunning Dark heart, dark thoughts

In a blacked out room Macked out, Cadillacs

Click-clack, go Sung you a song

The words went right through And I can't haunt a house

If it haunts me too So let's draw the line

And it's me and it's you I do it all the time

And Johnny 3 don't lose Can you write some checks that you can't cash?

So I'm a little bitter, baby, keep on coming back

Yeah, there's just some things that I can't stand

A little trigger-happy, so come on, let's dance

Yeah, fuck your virtue Your lie and your meaning

With the writing on the wall But you just can't read it

Comes back around Man, you better believe it

If you got a dark heart I'm gonna motherfucking bleed it

[Danny:] I've come way too far for this

I've put in too much work I've dealt with too much hurt

I've worked way too hard for this But we live in dark places, dark places

I've come way too far for this I've put in too much work

I've dealt with too much hurt I've worked way too hard for this

But we live in dark places, dark places

[Charlie Scene:] Who's that walking up your block?

Pissed off with two glocks With a 40 in his fist

And a fifth of moon rocks Got his sleeves cut off

With marijuana tube socks Smoking pot in the drop-top

Bumping Kid Rock I'mma smoke another spliff

And chase it down with six shots That guy's cockier than shit

Like a guy with six cocks And I can't stop saying dick

Dick, dick and then cock Hick-a-dickery-dick-a-dick-a-dickery-dock

So talk shit and get socked Or kick rocks and get lost

Or get dropped and get topped This hip-hop shit gets hot

This is not a pit stop And I'm not gonna stop

Until I'm on the top Like your mom on a cock

So when you see me in your hood, yeah, you better think twice

Let me give you all a muy poquito piece of advice

If you push me any further It's the end of your life

And I'll kill you like the sixteen bars I killed on this mic

[Danny:] I've come way too far for this

I've put in too much work I've dealt with too much hurt

I've worked way too hard for this But we live in dark places, dark places

I've come way too far for this I've put in too much work

I've dealt with too much hurt I've worked way too hard for this

But we live in dark places, dark places

(Dark places, dark places) I've come way too far for this

(Dark places, dark places) I've worked way too far for this

(Dark places, dark places) I've come way too far for this

(Dark places, dark places) I've worked way too hard for this

But we live in dark places, dark places

(upbeat techno music)

- We made it to Ekkamai,

that wasn't too bad of a drive.

And, what soi is it on, Ying?

- [Ying] 21.

- 21.

OK, so we gotta go down the street to Soi 21.

I'm not sure exactly where we'll park,

but we'll try to find a parking, and then walk there.

We made it to Soi 21, and,

it's gonna be a very, much better idea

to take public transportation, take a taxi here.

Parking was a bit of a mission impossible,

but we finally made it.

We made it to the restaurant, Micah is here.

It is situated next to a canal,

which is not the cleanest canal that I've ever seen.

And then they are cooking right there,

and they have a few tables set up,

and then I've also heard that a lot of people

order takeaway.

They hire motorbike drivers to come here,

and wait in line to place their orders.

But luckily we got here pretty early, it's about 10:45 a.m.

before the main lunch rush.

And Ying is,

let's zoom in on Ying.

She is right there,

putting in our order.

Even though there's not a lot of people sitting here,

a lot of people pre-order,

and so they got a lot of orders to make.

But she is just flying on that wok,

you can here the wok clanking, and actually,

this is just an awesome street-food stall.

It is literally, they are,

the restaurant and all the cooking in the kitchen

is on top of a bridge that goes across the canal.

And then, the sink is absolutely classic.

The sink just runs straight into the canal, and,

along with the smell of the canal,

it's overpowered by the wonderful smell

of frying garlic and chilies, and that crab,

and all the seafood that she's cooking.

They are known here especially for their seafood dishes,

especially their crab, shell less crab,

and that is an entire wok-full of shell less crab,

and she just added a bunch of eggs, and so many, good.

If you just stand here, that aroma,

pouring out of the wok is just beautiful,

and she is an amazing chef.

She's even talking on the cellphone,

multitasking as she's cooking.

Some serious skills.

(chef talking on cellphone)

Micah's sleeping through this entire experience.

Hello, Micah.

(Ying speaking in foreign language)

That was about a 45 minute wait, but let me show you

why this Bangkok street-food stall is so famous.

Look at this food, it looks unbelievable,

and the portion sizes are huge.

Even photos do not do justice,

how beautiful this food is here.

Normally, if Ying and I go to eat

at a street-food restaurant like this,

we can easily eat like 4 to 8 dishes,

between the two of us, so we order 4 dishes here.

These are monstrous.

And just the ingredients that they use.

At the front over here, this one is tom yum talay.

It's a mixture of seafood tom yum.

I love how they put on just a whole handful of

just not even chopped cilantro,

just whole cilantro and dried fried chilies,

which are just crushed on top.

That is looking wonderful.

Let me just go ahead and taste that broth.

Ying has been tasting the broth,

and she says it is awesome.

That is so sour,

it will almost make your eyes squint.

The depth of seafoody flavor in there is awesome as well,

and you can taste the dried chilies in there,

as well as a refreshing cilantro taste.

This is the smallest plate of food we have here,

and this one is goong tod kratiem,

which is shrimp fried with garlic.

It is a little bit oily,

there's a little bit of a pool of oil,

but then it's just topped with a bunch of crispy garlic,

and these are kinda curled up.

Let me pick up all of these guys onto my rice.

You can smell that garlic.

What I like to do to take of the tails,

is kind of poke it with my fork,

and then go in with my spoon at the very end there,

so that hopefully it releases.

Oh no, that didn't work at all.

OK, there we go. Slide that off.

That entire shrimp just tasted like fried garlic.

And it's so meaty and a little bit oily,

but really, really fragrant.

Yeah, that shrimp is also like a,

it's very muscular indeed.

This is one of their signature dishes here.

It's called 'kahla pli pad napla lea neux pu',

and it's cabbage on the bottom which she stir-fried,

and then there is some kind of

signature mixture of crab meat,

plus maybe egg, plus, I'm not sure what else,

but this is just,

what a beautiful pile of food this is.

And, I think maybe get some of this crab,

with a piece of the cabbage.

And these are just whole sheets of cabbage,

look at that.

I think you just gotta go in for the whole bite.

That's like half-cooked scrambled eggs,

with little nuggets of crab meat, mixed all in,

and then with crisp, lightly wilted cabbage,

to give it a fresh crispness.

It's another spicy dish, or a very really flavorful dish,

but it's so rich and so good.

Oh, that egg and crab.

And then the final dish that we ordered,

and this dish looks like it's gonna be my favorite,

even from just looking at it,

is Pad Khi Mao Buu,

and 'pad khi mao' is a pretty well-known Thai dish.

It translates to "drunken stir-fried crab",

and there is just massive ingredients in here.

You can see all of the crab meat,

there's basil in here, there's Kaffir lime leaves,

there are egg plant, there are shallots,

maybe those are onions,

there's just chilies mixed in this whole dish,

and it looks absolutely stunning.

Is there anything else down here that I missed?

It's just a solid plate.

Oh, lots of slices of grachai, which is finger root,

in here as well.

Put this on to my rice.

That's the ultimate dish.

Even like, literally before I even chewed,

before I even closed my mouth,

I could taste that sweet basil,

just overwhelming my mouth.

And then the grachai, that gingery flavor,

you've got the nuggets of stringy, sweet crab,

and then you can also really taste

the Kaffir lime leaves in there,

giving it a citrusy flavor as well.

OK, moving back over to the Tom Yum,

I'm gonna mix it up.

Oh, there's fish in here.

Look at that nugget of fish.

That tom yum is stunning.

The restaurant is packed now, all of the seating.

And I found that Micah,

she starts to get really restless

when you sit for too long, and this bag,

I have to stand up and eat, but perfect.

Look at the standing table they have, perfectly.

This food is absolutely stunning.

I am absolutely stuffed right now,

and I think having Micah on my stomach,

reduces my stomach space because he kind of,

presses against my stomach.

I've got a little bit left to finish,

and then we had to take the fried shrimp with garlic

and a little bit of that tom yum back home.

So Ying is getting takeaway, she's outside

packing it in a bag at the front there,

cos these portions are gigantic.

If you come here, I think it looks like,

you could easily have just one plate,

order one plate of food,

especially the pad khi mao was gigantic.

The other dishes were not as big,

but you could literally come here, order pad khi mao,

and share between two people.

That was absolutely sensational if you wanna have

some awesome street food crab, giant portions,

and it's not a cheap street food stall to eat at.

You do pay, I think it's about 200 baht per plate,

which is five or $6, so it's not cheap,

but for the ingredients and the amount of crab

that you're gonna eat, it is impressive.

This is an amazing street food stall.

But definitely get here early because it's packed now,

and you have to wait in line.

If you come right at lunch time,

you gotta wait in line, maybe, they said,

they were saying 2 hours now to wait.

So that was a very successful food journey,

thank you very much for watching this video.

Transformer Testing - Transformer Test and their Procedure - Duration: 4:40.

For confirming the specifications and performances of an electrical power transformer it has

to go through numbers of testing procedures.

Some tests are done at manufacturer premises before delivering the transformer.

Mainly two types of transformer testing are done at manufacturer premises- type test of

transformer and routine test of transformer.

In addition to that some transformer tests are also carried out at the consumer site

before commissioning and also periodically in regular & emergency basis through out its

service life.

In this video we will learn type of transformer testing in manufacturing commissioning and

installation period and their procedure.

Type of Transformer Testing.

There are three types of transformer Tests done at factory.

1.

Type tests.

2.

Routine tests.

3.

Special tests.

Type Test of Transformer.

To prove that the transformer meets customer's specifications and design expectations, the

transformer has to go through different testing procedures in manufacturer premises.

Some transformer tests are carried out for confirming the basic design expectation of

that transformer.

These tests are done mainly in a prototype unit not in all manufactured units in a lot.

Type test of transformer confirms main and basic design criteria of a production lot.

Type tests of transformer includes.

1.

Transformer winding resistance measurement.

2.

Transformer ratio test.

3.

Transformer vector group test.

4.

Measurement of impedance voltage/short circuit impedance (principal tap) and load loss (Short

circuit test).

5.

Measurement of no load loss and current (Open circuit test).

6.

Measurement of insulation resistance.

7.

Dielectric tests of transformer.

8.

Temperature rise test of transformer.

9.

Tests on on-load tap-changer.

10.

Vacuum tests on tank and radiators.

Routine Tests of Transformer.

Routine tests of transformer is mainly for confirming operational performance of individual

unit in a production lot.

Routine tests are carried out on every unit manufactured.

Routine tests of transformer include.

1.

Transformer winding resistance measurement.

2.

Transformer ratio test.

3.

Transformer vector group test.

4.

Measurement of impedance voltage/short circuit impedance (principal tap) and load loss (Short

circuit test).

5.

Measurement of no load loss and current (Open circuit test)

6.

Measurement of insulation resistance.

7.

Dielectric tests of transformer.

8.

Tests on on-load tap-changer.

9.

Oil pressure test on transformer to check against leakages past joints and gaskets.

That means Routine tests of transformer include all the type tests except temperature rise

and vacuum tests.

The oil pressure test on transformer to check against leakages past joints and gaskets is

included.

Special Tests of Transformer.

Special tests of transformer is done as per customer requirement to obtain information

useful to the user during operation or maintenance of the transformer.

Special Tests of transformer include.

1.

Dielectric tests.

2.

Measurement of zero-sequence impedance of three-phase transformers.

3.

Short-circuit test.

4.

Measurement of acoustic noise level.

5.

Measurement of the harmonics of the no-load current.

6.

Measurement of the power taken by the fans and oil pumps.

7.

Tests on bought out components / accessories such as buchhloz relay, temperature indicators,

pressure relief devices, oil preservation system etc.

We will be published continue transformer tests and their procedure one by one my next

video.

Best iPhone Video Editing App - Editing Video on Your iPhone - Duration: 1:59.

If you're looking for an iPhone video editing app to do your iPhone video editing,

then keep watching. This is Ben Simon for Media Brighton TV, stay tuned...

My favorite iPhone video editing app by far is iMovie, it's around £4 or $4

on the app store, and it's a fantastic app. It's super simple to use, but

it's extremely powerful at the same time. So, you can choose to either edit a

trailer, or you can edit a movie. so, in the trailer feature you can make

hollywood-style trailers using a sort of storyboard style interface, or you can

opt to edit in the movie section, which gives you a timeline editor. The main

reasons this is a go-to editor for me is that you can do multi-channels of video,

and multi-channels of audio, so you can be playing an interview, and then you can

cut away to another piece of b-roll footage, to support what you're saying,

and you still hear the person underneath the footage, the audio continues

from the first clip. This is really really nice feature, and we use this all the

time in video editing. You can color grade, you can also add titles, you can

speed clips up, slow them down, so you have full control to edit really, really

professional looking videos on your iPhone, it's brilliant!

Ok, so that's my preferred iPhone video editing app for editing videos on my iPhone.

If you'd like to know more about making marketing videos with your iPhone,

I have a free course available, so just click on the screen or in the link in

the description. If you have any questions, please leave them in the

In viaggio verso l'Italia - Vlog #2 - Duration: 8:30.

Welcome to our second video

This is the week we will move

We had a problem yesterday evening

Maybe you remember

in our last video Roberto was waiting for the postman

for a document from the municipality

Well' that document has arrived

but it doesn't contain the information we need for the Indian visa

so we have a problem

we will go to the town hall tomorrow morning

to get the right document

hoping it exists because

at this point I am not really sure it does

Where are you going with these pieces?

I am bringing them downstairs, in an hour the girl will come and pick up our wardrobe

One at a time

Dutch stairs is are steep

I am curious to see how we will carry the fridge

Let's bring the first boxes to the car

Help! There's so much stuff!

Today is also the last day of our beloved washing machine

We are bringing the first stuff to my brother's

Finally we have the right document for the Indian visa!

Are you happy? Yes!

Are we going to India?

This time we will manage

First we need to go to The Hague, then we'll be able to go to India

We are going to India!

We are cleaning the fridge because it will be picked up tonight

Roberto is doing the main part

and I am doing the bits and pieces

A short tutorial on how to clean the fridge's bits

You go in the shower

and you clean them like this

that's how you clean them very very well

Bye! Bye bye!

I am gonna go on

Okay!

We are going to sort out Roberto's Indian visa

Finally!

And to pick up Juliette's

Look at how beautiful the Dutch parliament is!

Goodmorning! It's early in the morning..

Mmhh.. well..

it's 10 o' clock!

We are bringing our plants to a friend

We will miss them a lot too

I don't know what to say

It's a mess!

It looks like a bomb just exploded in our house

but we promise everything will be fine

So...

This is what remains of our living room

we have just disassembled our couch

which will be picked up by someone tonight

this is our table

the couch

the mattress that goes on the couch

everything we own

Welcome to our bedroom

bed, tires

clothes and bathroom stuff

bathroom, empty, there's nothing left, except some stuff that is drying

We have two days left to clean everything

I think we will manage

Will we? Yes we will!

We are bringing this chair to its new owner

How do you fold this?

Just like that

The situation halfway through the day

almost end of the day

Roberto has cleaned the kitchen

Good morning, good morning!

Today is the last day

we have to hand in the key this afternoon

so let's get working

there's still a few boxes

and we need to clean a bit

and then let's just hope everything will fit in the car

we will update you soon

This is the situation at the moment

after throwing away two mattresses

it's almost empty

Juliette has cleaned the bathroom

also the bedroom is done

and the kitchen as well

You should see our car though

I will show you later, it's unbelievable

it's funny

Bye home!

Bye!

The situation in our car

it's full

we just gave the keys

to the agent

now we're going to the embassy in The Hague

to pick up Roberto's passport

and then we're finally leaving!

Bye everyone, bye friends,

Byeeee!

I have the Indian visum in the pocket, finally!

We're just below The Hague

we are driving South

towards Belgium, Luxembourg, France,

and then straight to the horizon

Good morning!

Good morning everyone!

So.. tell them what happened

these past 12 hours

well, these past 12 hours

we've been in hell

it started snowing more and more heavily

at one point we could only see

a white snowfield before us

we couldn't see the lines, the sides or other cars

we were so scared

it was a real nightmare

we were so scared to slip

we stopped for a while to se if it would stop snowing

but it didn't

so we went on anyway

we saw the snow trucks

so we risked it

then we started looking for a hotel

for three or four hours

but we couldn't see anything

and no hotel, well, one

but it was fully booked

so in the end, as you can see

we slept in the car

in this fully loaded car

this morning we had a lot of snow again

and again we were scared to slip

or to end up in an accident

now we are in a somewhat calmer point

We've finally see the sea

there's a considerable change in temperature

in comparison to this morning

With this sky, and this sea

We've been in Italy for a few days

we've rested a bit

because it has been a long and difficult drive

We went extinguishing a fire yesterday

which are burning through the valley

we wanted to close this second video

our second week of the year

We've finally arrived in Italy

we will update you soon

Bye!
