3 Tips To Help You Rock In A Relationship - Duration: 4:28.
Happy Love Day Magnificents, Welcome to FreedomTV,
I'm Freedom Rivera, Spiritual Success Coach at freedomrivera.com .
And this is your coaching channel to help you step into your dream career and create
a blissful relationship with your significant other.
I think every day is a love day and we can always show our appreciation to our love ones
as often as we can.
However, let's take today's international celebration of love by learning how to build
healthy relationships.
As you can see I got ready for this occasion.
In today's episode, I will share 3 tips to help you rock when in a relationship!
Whether you are with your soulmate or you want to manifest a healthy relationship,
you want to stick around for this one
So are you ready?
Here are the three tips to help you to rock in relationships:
Tip #1.
Don't rely on your partner as the source of your happiness.
Practicing Self compassion, it's about learning how to deal with your sufferings and learn
how to nourish your happiness.
If you have old emotional wounds that you have been avoiding or not been paying attention.
You need to take care of that of that first.
Your partner is not your therapist.
I'm a huge fan of Thich Nhat Hanh a nobel prize recipient, and Zen master.
In his book "How To Love", he teaches "When we feed, and support our own happiness,
we are nourishing our ability to love."
He also says "That's why to love, means to learn the art of nourishing our happiness."
Depending on someone else for your happiness is a false belief that will set you up for
conflicts in your relationship.
Also, it is important for both parties to bring happiness to each other.
How can you give happiness if you don't know how to give happiness to yourself first?
Tip # 2.
Learn how to love by getting rid of pride, and by willing to listen to each other's suffering
and joy.
Poor self esteem and high self esteem can affect your listening skills.
Equanimity is essential when talking to your partner.
Also accepting your partner with his/her strengths and weakness shows unconditional love, genuine
love without conditions.
If you can't accept both, then this is a sign that both of you might not be ready to
be in this relationship.
If you accept your partner as a whole not just their best side, then learn to increase
your patience for this person to transform and grow at his or her own pace.
Tip#3.
Learn to have constructive conversations with your partner.
I have created a conversational technique where couples can learn to communicate their
needs.
I'm also a psychotherapist and I have use my knowledge to utilize psychology and mindfulness
techniques and the results are powerful!
I have practiced this same technique in my personal life and I guarantee you, it works!
In April of this year, I will be offering a half a day workshop tittle
"How to Rock In Relationships" in New York City.
I will also be offering an online course.

Bad Dowsing Questions - Duration: 3:51.
Hi, this is Nigel from Discovering Dowsing answering your questions about dowsing.
Bad dowsing questions.
Most books about doing or dowsing teachers will usually tell you about how to ask good
dowsing questions.
That's certainly what we've done.
But there's not enough emphasis on why some dowsing questions are bad, or poor, or weak,
or to be generally avoided.
That's what this is about.
Generally speaking, bad dowsing questions are too vague.
They are often very short and use vague terms.
But what we're going to be looking at here is what exactly is wrong with them.
First, if ever anyone talks about the 'highest good' of something, it's a bad question.
Why?
Because there is no way, ever, that you are going to know the outcome and there is nothing
you can measure.
But, far worse than that, is the fact that by referring to something you can never know
about, you have given over your power to some unseen, unknown, unpredictable force or personality
or being and left it up to it/them to decide the outcome.
That is not what dowsing is about.
Dowsing is about empowerment and about helping you in life and guiding you through various
problems and tricky decisions.
But, by throwing in the term 'highest good', you've given all that up and left it to
the whim of 'whatever' to decide for you.
In that case, why bother dowsing at all?
Just put the pendulum down and walk away.
Another bad question has the world 'should' in it.
'Should I buy this?'
'Should I do this?'
The word should implies a moral judgment and, as such, is asking for some outside opinion
to validate what you do.
'Should I marry so-and-so?'
Why would you ask that sort of question?
What does it mean if it's either 'yes' or 'no'?
What information does that give you?
None!
You have no idea of the pros or cons of the answer.
If someone comes to you and asks, 'Should I do so-and-so?', your answer will (hopefully)
contain reasons for your decision.
But, in dowsing, you don't get those reasons.
And the reasons behind the answer might be relevant to you or not.
Those reasons will help you make up your mind to accept the answer or not.
But, in dowsing, you don't get that chance to weight the arguments, because you already
decided to bypass them.
Don't ask anything about 'should'!
There's another bad question which begins with 'May I?
Can I?
Should I?'
OK, so this is not strictly about a dowsing question, but about what some people say you
should do (notice the 'should' there?) before dowsing.
Apparently, it's meant to clear up any issues about what you're proposing to dowse about.
Except it doesn't.
It's dowsing about whether to dowse or not.
Which is somewhat circular.
Who are you asking?
And why should they be trusted?
If you don't have the moral compass to decide whether it is ethical to dowse, or doubt you
are competent enough to dowse, then don't dowse!
Asking that three part question is not going to make things happy for you.
Most people will get the answer they want anyway, and then hide behind the statement
that they asked permission first.
There are other types of bad questions, but those are the main types to avoid.
Happy Dowsing!
Thanks for watching.

How to Draw Donald ♦ Thomas and Friends ♦ Drawing and Colors Learning video for Preschoolers - Duration: 8:59.
Today we're having a twin lesson?
YOu ask why?
Because we're gonna draw one of the Scottish twin engines - Donald.
So, first off, i will draw Donald's walkway platform: jsut two parallel lines.
And the front with two buffers and a towing hook between them.
And then the basis of Donald's tender.
After that, im drawing Donald's face - just an oval, then his two eyes, nose, and smiling
face.
Then he has eyebrows here and smoke box right behind his face.
LIke this!)
Next im drawing Donald's main body with arches down here.
hERE on the side im showing the handrail
and then on the very top you will see Donald's smoke stack.
After that, his sand box and at the back - the whistle.
Here goes Donald's nameplate with the name right in the center
and several stripes on the side.
Then im starting to draw Donald's cab: small window here, side panel, the roof, and a door
down here.
Here im switching to the cab again: just a several parallel lines and then, look!
Number 9 in the very center!
WOnderful!
Now three big driving wheels: central, front and rear one.
Connecting rods between them..
And a few more details on the wheels.
And don't forget about the wheel on the other side.
A long straight line here as the land.
After that three small wheels for the tender.
Here we go!
And one more on that side.
That's perfect!!!
We are fully ready to start applying colors to Donald!
My first color will be red.
RED.
It's for some details on the tender, a bit here, then for the front here, nameplate,
contours of the door, number nine's contour.
Cool!
I will take yellow next.
YELLOW.
Just for the number!
LIke this!
Grey color will be next.
GREY.
IT will go for Donald's face, and a bit for his body.
THAT'S enough!
Black comes to us here.
BLACK.
I will use it for the cab's roof, then side panel, front part and a lot of black over
the whole Donald's body: upper part, middle section, lower part, smokestack, sand dome.
And then some black for the wheels.
After that, im adding black to the tender: upper part, sides, front, wheels, simply everywhere!))
And a few more strokes in the lower area.
Alrighty!
Well done here!!
Donald is looking so real thanks to you!!
Thank you, kids!

Drawing Couples Ladybug and Cat Noir from Miraculous Ladybug (Tutorial) - Duration: 49:52.
hello and welcome welcome to the day's
livestream tutorial today we're going to
be drawing ladybug and cat noir from the
from the show a miraculous ladybug
so what I'm doing about with this poses
i'm at i'm doing an angle where r miss
ladybug is a flying through the sky
that's not enough for that flying i
meant to say was he was hanging around
to her
yo you know swimming around her you know
your similar to like like how spider-man
and cat noir is just being held are just
holding on to her waist just hanging on
by her waist and he's just flinging
around through the air so this is going
to be a cool for shortening video so
you'll be learning a little bit how to
do certain angles so I what are used for
reference for this drawing was that I
you like there are tons of images of
objects spider-man poses on google so
that's probably the best way you could
you yourself if you ever want to draw
people just flying through the air
similar to like like this that I think
the best source material is at least
spider-man you know so what I started
with is i started with the hand first
and then true the rest i started with
the square at an angle so that you would
see the thumb just above and then have
the string here move so much bigger like
exist like as if you're looking like the
cameras looking from the string is
moving down to the arm and everything
else gets slightly wider so from there
drew a circle and throw an actual
another circle underneath that circle to
add a bit of depth to this image later
on I'll be needing to thin out this arm
because me you know that this makes her
mixer floor forearm look a little too
muscular
so over here I made her shudder at the
top of the shoulder should extend a
little upward so that it covers a bit of
her face because that's where shoulders
do you know I'm just gonna maybe getting
this arm out a little bit so from here I
drew us a box at an angle and then for
the thighs i did another box underneath
that box but then I had the legs coming
up just having one leg in the front and
one leg coming from underneath there's
more than one way to do this anyway go
looks a little dirty here
the way that I just tend to thighs just
that you know it's fat up here around
the waist but then you sort of thin it
out when you get closer to the knee and
then the lower half of the thigh or i
should say the leg here
you spin it out and there you go and
just use a box for the foot and then now
you just have a hanging foot here
segment nose is running
ok ok
so I'm just going around sighs out here
but not make them to around because she
is only on what is it a teenager yes
like you know what she could be in
college but OMG she has a body type of
that of like a teenager so she's not
fully developed but she has some curves
here and there
and over here we are having her the
lower part of her leg show but I'm
having it smaller because obviously this
this right here is almost the closest to
us and the leg is at an angle i guess if
we did have if we had a focal point it'd
probably be down here right here right
below the water was so I guess this
would probably be the best way of
figuring it out
I guess another way that I could have
done the strong as directed the focal
point first potential everything around
it but well
ok now drawing cat noir arms around lady
miss lady bug looks waste forget a bit
if that's just her name or does
everybody actually get it has been a
while since I watched the series so I
forgot if they just call her lady bug or
just miss Li but or lady lady bugs down
like that
ok i'm using so i use the + here is a
plus on everyone's face that I get a
general idea about where the eyes nose
and mouth will be
ok
ok and then over here for this arm I'm
had doing the same thing with drawing
drawing two circles but I'm having one
circle go into the other circle is
foreshortening effect
ok
ok
ok so the way i did kat noir is i just
made a little box i just have that box
with the legs just fling it all over the
place so i don't have to have the
muscles here to define because they're
just kids
so the just getting started with their
muscles so even though they weren't
super tight their outfits are super
tight and their define of their shape
still you can barely tell any muscle on
them
ok and we got his pants we're going to
add on his belt
wait where is doubts
ok so it seems the big his tail is
underneath his belt
ok and now here we're just adding his
little was it a staff or something
his staff and just a bit of a couple of
squares here so that we see the he's got
these little gadgets here and there then
we're adding a bit of his back
ok now we're going to add this little
one is called years yes
his nose and map knows a nice before I
add add on his hair
ok
ok now we're going to start adding his
hair just have it free flowing all over
the place
ok now we're gonna go back and do it too
let's do some more touch up on this
ladybug here then at her arms a little
so so I'm doing all we can
ok so what one thing a little bit of a
tip here is like four girls chest it
always seems like the chest area always
leads up like just to like the armpit
here
ok fix this so you can see better seat
works great just like it just wraps
around we just makes up the armpits here
maybe I'll shrink down her head a little
bit okay and then we're having the
shoulder and have a bit collarbone here
now look at that we got neck
go on
okie dokie not your first fix the arm
ok
I've always an angle there's like update
of like what what what is this section
here is like right under the armpit he's
like a bit of back that just shown ok
and now we're just going to go ahead and
fix the hand here
spitting it out
oh wait maybe a shared there we go that
looks better
squaring make the fingers go all the way
ok now I'm going to add on her face
first start with the mask
okay then we're gonna have two years
here is it gonna be place right under
the line that we placed for around need
where the eyes should be we make the
hair little bigger
ok have some hair and covering over her
mask and now we're going to add a bit of
four pigtails
no it's not a big deal so what is it
called just a two-sided ponytail
ok
thanks for going down for that hand back
here just going to do a simple fist
ok I think we're good
wait i forgot to the finest fingers here
okay wait let me check to see if I
forgot he's got look at that kind of
ours got these little cuffs on his hands
ok so
oh I'll get to start yanking out the
strong out with my dick tip sharpie
yeah since now that we're just gonna
going through like the inking process
for free to leave a comment let me know
like you have a favorite character do
you think this is here you know at the
night
give it up excuse me i meant to say is
this
I mean it's been overly hinted in the
show you know that these two might
become a couple you know it's it's so
obvious and that it's probably gonna
happen and I'd probably who knows like
it was so different a lot of speculation
about like who the villain is it might
be catty noir father whatever we know
that we like an interesting twist
like with any other ships or couples
from the city from the series that you
think that that might have some
potential in the future for free to
leave a leave a comment below below this
video or during the live stream and let
me know let me pull it up
ok now that I have the live stream up
you can your free use of you are free to
let me know if there are any other ships
relationships out there from the series
that you think would be interesting to
see
oh yeah I decided to run out of shoes
just that it would make sense
you know I think at least Im didn't look
flat
ok so what we're going to do now is I'm
going to switch it over to my thin tip
sharpie and do the finer details
ok now it's working
ok now i got that fast up and started
racing so we can see what we haven't
finished
ok now we can see connect these two
ok so I'm going to do is I'm going to
add ladybugs some how get out of
whatever just putting them in random
spots
having them spaced out so that you know
they're not to notice that to all over
the place
ok
then we move on over maybe add a few to
the hands here
ok we're going to add a bit of hair
texture
man's camera mines really been chillin
all over the place i'll probably have
that fixed by next video
I'm gonna I think I'm going to fill in
the black here is the circles that I
just made
wait you know if I'm gonna move gonna
use the big one the big markers to sell
these in there we go
ok
not which they do with cat noir because
like his outfit is you know just one big
black dark color so what should do I
mean I don't want to like clash in or
blend with the dots that I've already
drawn so I guess what i can do is have a
bit of white space here and there
well maybe not
maybe I just leave it as it is just to
avoid confusion or no wait no no no I
thought okay here's a better idea i just
use very thin lines that were he has
some toning but it won't be confused for
a complete black tone with the DA stay
just you are now at ladybug
and keeping these lines as close to each
other as possible
I'm having these lines curved so that
they give some dimension to cat Noirs
body is like drawing lines four-cylinder
for his legs
as you can see i change the directions
of solar Alliance car
I don't want them to be confused for
legs like during his legs I made them
curved but during the shoes i kept them
straight and going in a different
direction but then for the bottom shoes
i went back in a similar direction so
that way there's a bit of break
oh i forgot to do her into a couple of
dots around the mask as well
okie have returning here on the mask as
well
ok and then I'll add do some hair toning
ok
mm oh-oh I completely forgot this
section here this tale
I think I'll do the cross-hatching here
on just only the pant leg
and maybe a little bit on the stomach as
well
little bit on the tail here
I guess helps to make a bit of a break
in between all this lines that way your
I see that there's a bit of shadow and
then you see that you know like this
tell us it's all those thing that's why
it's good to that's why I that's why
little stupid that's why it's good to
have two different thickness in lines
you know the outliner stick but these
the lines that amusing for toning i'm
using this tension sharpie to the toning
and then I have some of these lines
moving in complete different directions
you think I had a bit of turning sheer
on the leg by
I'm just adding those there to help to
find the muscle in a bit of like shadows
there
ok you want just a little bit something
here something for the background so it
looks like there's a ground they're high
in the sky or something
ok
I think I'll just leave it at that oh no
wait i forgot to do this
it's a little trickier I actually
learned from like while reading though
that among the one-piece loot the among
creator used to do these little lines
right on Lucas arm to give this like
sort of weird foreshortening effect or
like start small and then it gets bigger
as it gets closer to the viewer
ok I'll leave it at this
I hope you enjoyed this is drawing

Lush Avocado Co-wash review (2 in 1 hair product) - Duration: 9:29.
Hi everyone! Welcome to another episode of
'Test it Tuesday'! It's been a while since I've done
one and this time i'm going to review the Lush
Avocado Co-wash. Or Co-wash, i'm not sure how you're
supposed to pronounce it. It's a two in one product
that is supposed to wash AND condition your hair.
And it's a solid bar, so I thought it was very interesting
to try it out. And I tried it out about 10 times. I'm gonna
let you know what I think of it and how you
can use it best.
The product actually caught my attention because it
looked like a giant Babybel cheese. [laughs] It has the
red wax around it before they cut it into slices.
Then course you can tell them how much you want.
And it's green on the inside and it smells really, really
good. Another thing I immediately noticed was
that it was a lot different than the other shampoo
bars. It wasn't hard and dry. It's actually kind of soft
and it leaves a residue on your fingers.
So I immediately knew that it was going to be
a different kind of product and that it was going to
be more moisturizing. So that's when I decided to
try it out.
So this is what I have left of my block after 10 washes,
but I did do a lot of trial and error things. So I could
have had more left if I would have been a little bit
more careful. But i'll explain.
So the first time I tried it I was in the shower and I was
just rubbing it over my hair. And it didn't work very well.
It was like tugging my hair and it was just not going on
very smoothly. So I tried all kinds of things. I tried
rubbing it in my hands and putting it on like that
That didn't work very well either. So then I started
taking little pieces, putting it in a little jar, adding
some water and trying to put it on my hair that way.
That wasn't a success either, because I had chunks
in my hair. Anyway, I just decided to go with it.
I tried to put it on the best I could, massaging it into my
scalp, putting it on my length. And then of course I
rinsed it. I didn't put any conditioner on. And it felt kind
of weird. My hair felt kind of weird in the shower.
I was pretty convinced that I was gonna have
trouble brushing my hair afterwards. That it was gonna
tangle. That's what it felt like. I was wrong about that.
I was actually able to brush through it pretty easily.
And my hair: once it was dry the weird texture was
gone and my hair actually looked and felt really good.
It looked very shiny, it was soft, it felt pretty moisturised
So I was like: okay.
The second time around I decided to use less product
so again I rubbed it over my hair until I started getting
that tugging sensation. I rubbed it over very wet hair
obviously. And again massaged it in, rinsed it out. And
yes, it was true: my hair was clean and pretty
moisturised. So you don't need a lot of product. But
that's a little weird. You know you don't know when you
have enough product on your head - on your hair -,
because it doesn't lather. It doesn't get very foamy.
So it's a little difficult in the beginning to know when
you have enough on your hair. But you really don't need
a lot. I was using way too much the first time.
And also, it's kind of difficult to know when it's
rinsed out completely. Because, as I mentioned, the
hair, it starts getting this weird texture when it's wet
when you use this product. So you keep rinsing
it and you kind of want that weird feeling to go away.
But it doesn't. So it's kind of hard to know when you've
rinsed it all out. But I haven't had problems with it
not being rinsed out completely. So I don't think it's a
huge problem. It's just a little different than what you're
used to when you use regular shampoos and
conditioners, so that's all.
So after that I used it a couple times more and
despite the fact that since the second time it went a lot
smoother than the first time, I was still not very happy
with the practicality. It was still kind of tugging my hair,
my hair got stuck to the product,... I then decided to
use the product in the bathtub and that went A LOT
better. So, for me what works best with this product is
to make my hair very, very, very wet and immediately
start putting the product on. And grabbing some
bathwater, putting some more water on my hair and
gliding the product over again. And do this a couple
of times. That works so much better for me.
You can't really do that in the shower, because then you
will rinse the product out. And I have had no issues with
it ever since I started doing that. So if you're having
problems with the product, I would suggest you try to
do it that way, because it really helped me out a lot.
So now on to the pros and cons of the product, in my
personal opinion. Of course keep in mind we all have
different hair types. So what works great for one
person, may not work at all for another person,
Obviously. So if you want to know if it works for you ,
the only way to do that is to try it out. But a review
can help you find out whether it will be something that
might work for you or just isn't that interesting to try.
The pros: I absolutely LOVE the scent of this product!
I'm sniffing it all the time. I even leave it out in my
bathroom just so that my bathroom [laughs] would
smell like this! So, Lush, if you're ever watching
this: please make a bubble bar with this scent!
It smells so incredibly good. It smells very citrusy, very
uplifting. It's a really positive, fun scent and I love it.
And it's also gender-neutral. It's not a super feminine
scent but it's not super masculine either. So this is
something that would work for the entire family.
I think it's such a clever product: a two in one product
in solid form that washes and conditions your hair.
It works for the entire family and it's very convenient.
You can take it with you everywhere. You don't have to
have big bottles of shampoo and conditioner and
all that stuff. You just need one bar and that's it.
So that's very cool and it also really works for what it is.
So it's supposed to clean your hair and it does,
it's supposed to condition your hair and it does.
It makes your hair look nice, it makes it feel nice,
it makes it smell nice, [laughs]... So that is absolutely
great! Some of the things I don't like as much about
this product is: I would have thought it would be more
practical to use. I had problems with the tugging my hair
and stuff. It works a lot better in the bathtub, as I said.
But you would expect a product like this to just glide
on in the shower, and I don't know...
Maybe I'm still doing it wrong, but for me that was kind
of a problem. So it wasn't faster than a regular shampoo
and I would want it to be faster if I were using a solid
bar. And also, I personally like products that deep
condition my hair. I cannot expect this product to do
that, because then it wouldn't be able to clean your
scalp. If they would make it even more moisturizing and
even more conditioning, it will probably leave your
scalp greasy. So it wouldn't be able to clean your scalp.
So for what it is, it's great, but I need more.
I'm used to using oil treatments and masks and things
like that. So for me it's a great in between product, but
it's not something I would use constantly. So I prefer
still using an additional conditioner with this product .
And then I don't really see the point in using this
particular product, if i'm still going to put an extra
conditioner on.
But as I said, that's just because I like deep
conditioning and that's not what this product is for.
So if you just look at what the product is for, I think they
did a really good job.
And it's also a little more difficult to brush through
my hair. It does tangle a little more than with the
conditioners and the masks i'm used to using.
But all in all, I do think this is a very good product
for what it is. And it would be great for families, it would
be great for people with short hair, medium long hair or
people who don't really need that deep conditioning. If
you're someone who doesn't always use conditioner, or
you use light conditioners and you're not into masks
and oil treatments and things like that, you might
absolutely love this product. So yeah.
I hope this review was helpful to you if you are

Chronic bronchitis (COPD) - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment & pathology - Duration: 8:47.
Bronchitis means inflammation of the bronchial tubes in the lung, and it's said to be chronic
when it causes a productive cough—which means produces mucus—for at least 3 months
each year for 2 or more years.
Chronic bronchitis is actually lumped under the umbrella of chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease (or COPD), along with emphysema.
These two are different in that chronic bronchitis is defined by clinical features, like a productive
cough, whereas emphysema is defined by structural changes—specifically enlargement of the
air spaces.
That being said, they often coexist, probably because they share the same major risk factor
— smoking.
Other risk factors for chronic bronchitis include exposure to air pollutants like sulfur
and nitrogen dioxide, exposure to dust and silica, as well as genetic factors like having
a family history of chronic bronchitis.
With COPD, the airways become obstructed, and the lungs don't empty properly, and
that leaves air trapped inside the lungs.
For that reason, the maximum amount of air people with COPD can breath out in a single
breath, known as the FVC, or forced vital capacity, is lower.
This reduction is especially noticeable in the first second of air breathed out in a
single breath, called FEV1—forced expiratory volume (in one second), which typically is
reduced even more than the FVC.
A useful metric therefore is the FEV1 to FVC ratio, which, since the FEV1 goes down even
more than FVC, causes the FEV1 to FVC ratio to go down as well.
Alright so say normally your FVC is 5 L, and your FEV1 is 4 L, your FEV1 to FVC ratio would
end up being 80%.
Now, someone with COPD's FVC might be 4 L instead, which is lower than normal, but
the volume of air that he or she can expire in the first second is only 2 L, so not only
are both these values lower, but their ratio is lower as well—and this is a hallmark
of COPD.
All that had to do with air breathed out right?
Conversely, for air going in, the TLC, or total lung capacity, which is the maximum
volume of air that can be taken in or inspired into the lungs, is actually often often higher
because of the air trapping.
Alright, so chronic bronchitis is a type of COPD that's diagnosed based on clinical
symptoms, specifically coughing up a lot of mucus.
But why does this happen?
Well, first off, in the lungs, the walls of normal airways have a couple layers to think
about.
Lining the lumen of the airways you've got the epithelium, composed of ciliated pseudostratified
columnar epithelial cells, which are named that because these epithelial cells have hair-like
projections called cilia, their nuclei don't align so it looks like they're more than
one layer even though they're not, hence, pseudostratified, and because the cells are
mostly tall and narrow - or columnar in shape.
This layer also contains the occasional Goblet cell which makes some of the mucus that lines
the airway.
Going deeper past that layer you've got the basement membrane and loose connective
tissue, called the lamina propria—which together with the epithelium makes up the
mucosa.
Beyond the mucosa, there is smooth muscle followed by more connective tissue, and together,
these two layers make up the submucosa and this is where the bronchial mucinous glands
live.
These are the glands that secrete the majority of the mucus into the lumen of the bronchi,
helping to catch and filter out particles and pathogens.
Finally, in the bronchi, but not the bronchioles, there is also a layer of cartilage below the
submucosa which stiffens the bronchus and helps to keep it open.
Alright so people who smoke expose their airways to all sorts of irritants and chemicals.
Whatever the irritants are, their effect is to stimulate hypertrophy and hyperplasia of
the mucinous glands in the main bronchi, as well as the goblet cells in the smaller airways
- the bronchioles, which increases mucus production in both locations.
Since the bronchioles are smaller, even a slight increase in mucus can lead to airway
obstruction, so this contributes to the majority of the air trapping.
To make matters worse, though, smoking makes the cilia short and less mobile, making it
harder to move mucus up and out of bronchioles towards the back of the throat to get swallowed.
As a result of having too much mucus and poorly functioning cilia, people with chronic bronchitis
end up relying on coughing to get rid of their mucus plugs.
One measurement, typically done post-mortem, is called the Reid index, which is the ratio
of the thickness of the bronchial mucinous glands, relative to the total thickness of
the airway - from the epithelium to the cartilage.
Normally, this ratio should be less than 40%, but it can be over 40% for people with chronic
bronchitis, because of the hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the glands.
Even though an increased Reid index goes along with chronic bronchitis, the diagnosis is
still done clinically and this measurement is not usually used diagnostically.
All this mucus in the lungs causes people with chronic bronchitis to wheeze
due to narrowing of the passageway available for air to move in and out, these people also
have crackles or rales caused by the popping open of small airways.
People with chronic bronchitis also often present with hypoxemia, low oxygen in the
blood, and hypercapnia, increased carbon dioxide in the blood.
This is because the mucus plugs in the airways block air flow, right?
Which causes the partial pressure of CO2 to increase in the lungs.
Increased PCO2 means that the partial pressure of O2 in the lungs goes down, and a lower
PO2 means less oxygen gets to the blood, causing hypoxemia.
This trapped CO2 in the lungs also makes it harder for CO2 to get out of the bloodstream,
which also explains the hypercapnia.
The increased CO2 levels in the blood can get so bad that some people develop cyanosis,
which is a blue discoloration of the skin, and this is why patients with chronic bronchitis
are sometimes referred to as blue bloaters.
This is compared to the term pink puffers which describes patients with emphysema.
Alright so in addition to those things, in the the areas with decreased gas exchange,
blood vessels undergo vasoconstriction in an attempt to shunt blood to an area with
better exchange; which, if it's localized to one area of the lungs, that would work
pretty well, but when a large proportion of the lungs aren't exchanging oxygen effectively,
a large proportion of blood vessels start to clamp down.
And this has the effect of increasing pulmonary vascular resistance, and to maintain pulmonary
blood flow the body responds by developing pulmonary hypertension.
Over time, this increases the work needed by the right side of the heart to pump blood
to the lungs, and eventually the right side enlarges, leading to right-sided heart failure,
a process called cor pulmonale.
And finally another consequence of mucus plugging in chronic bronchitis is that people can develop
lung infections behind the mucus blockages in the airway, and these infections can worsen
the pulmonary and cardiac symptoms.
Treatment of chronic bronchitis largely involves reducing risk factors, like for example stopping
smoking, but also managing associated illnesses.
Supplemental oxygen, as well as certain medications like bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, and
antibiotics to control secondary infections might also be used.
Okay, to recap, chronic bronchitis is a type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or
COPD, where exposure to chemicals and irritants—like with smoking—stimulates increased mucus
production in the airways, which causes a productive cough that lasts for at least 3
months each year for at least 2 years.

Assignment Rules - Duration: 4:11.
This video introduces ServiceNow assignment rules.
The ServiceNow system can automatically assign tasks to specific users or groups.
These assignments are determined by rules you define.
Each assignment rule specifies a system table and a set of conditions on certain fields in the table.
Whenever a record is added or updated in the table and the fields meet the conditions...
... the rule is triggered and the task is automatically assigned.
You can manually reassign the task later if you wish.
If the task has already been assigned, no rules are run and the assignment is not changed.
You can define assignment rules for lots of different tasks, like service catalog orders, problems, or changes.
In this video, we're going to use the example of assignment rules for managing incidents.
To see the assignment rules defined in the system, we'll go to System Policy > Rules > Assignment.
Here we see three assignment rules for incidents.
Let's take a look at the rule for network incidents.
The fields on the Applies To tab define when the rule is triggered.
The table field specifies which table the rule applies to.
You can choose from a variety of tables for different tasks.
This rule applies to the Incidents table.
To define a rule for a change task, you'd choose Change Task…
…and so on.
The Conditions fields specify conditions for certain fields in the incident record.
The rule is triggered when these conditions are met.
Here the rule is triggered when the value of the Category field is Network.
The fields on the Assign To tab define whom the task will be assigned to.
Here the task is assigned to System Administrator.
To see how this works, let's create a new rule that assigns urgent incidents to a different user.
Let's call the new rule Networking Urgent.
Now we'll save a copy with the new name.
Insert and Stay inserts a copy into the table stays here for more editing.
Next let's change the user to Aileen Mottern.
Now, urgent networking incidents will be automatically assigned to Aileen.
Now we want the rule to apply only to networking incidents with high urgency.
To do that we'll add a condition…
…the urgency…
…is…
…high.
When we update the new rule…
…it appears in the list.
Finally, let's give it a lower order number so it'll run before the original networking rule.
If more than one rule is triggered, only the rule with the lowest order number will run.
There.
This way, high-urgency incidents will be assigned to Aileen and all others will be assigned to System Administrator.
Let's go back and take a quick look at a couple other things.
The Script tab lets you include a script to perform additional functions when the rule runs.
And the tabs at the bottom of the form let you review the history of the rule.
Finally, let's test our new rule.
To do that, we'll create a new incident.
We'll say the caller is Abel Tuter…
…the category is Network…
…the urgency is High…
…and this is test of our new rule.
When we submit…
…the new incident appears in the incidents list...
…and it's assigned to Aileen Mottern, just like we want.
This concludes our video.
