Waching daily Feb 14 2017

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a heart.

Let´s begin sketching the silhouette with a red marker.

As you see I am free handing this totally with no prior sketch,

you may do it like this or also you can sketch it

priorly with pencil, so that you can erase if you want to.

And, we fill it in… flat.

Then with a dark purple pencil, I´ll go over the edges, to create

a shade or a dark reflection where the glass turns.

This is going to be a glass heart.

In some areas, I´m leaving the red. I am not filling in totally

continuous and even.

That´s because we want to create different types of reflections

of course.

You may want to do some shading like this. More or less following the

shape that you want, like it´s a bit rounded on top.

And we have made darker reflections, let´s make a lighter one

over here, with a light orange.

And with a white pencil, an even brighter reflection over here, also

following the shape.

Very good, and some little ones on the side.

With a dark blue, we can reinforce some of the darks.

By the way, I´m making this with a lot of love, for my wife!

I think I will use it as a card and write something on the paper.

Wish me luck for the inspiration for that!

[Laughter] I´m good at drawing but not so much at writing.

And we do the shadow with a red and orange.

We can add some gray and white.

I use some darker red to do some slight shading to the heart.

And I will make the shadow a bit bigger, wider. I think that would look better.

Sometimes it is tricky when you are drawing with color pencils, to do the shadow

specially the edge so that it comes slightly blurred.

As it should be. What I did in this case to solved that, was to draw with white

on the edge of the shadow.

That soften it a little bit and I think it looks alright.

With the purple I widen a little bit and the reflection on this side.

The list of materials is in the information below the video.

The description of the video.

I want to thank all the people, the volunteers, who are translating

these videos, to their languages.

Specially Jean-Luc Coulon who translates all my videos into french.

That helps a lot of people who want to learn to draw and that not necessarily

speak english.

If you want to translate, please see the instructions, also on the

description on the video.

Very good! ¡Excelente! And it´s ready!

I want to wish you a happy Valentine´s

And if you enjoy the video, please give it a LIKE! share it to your friends

and subscribe to Fine Art-Tips.

And I will see you, on Tuesday :)

how to gain instagram followers 2017 - Duration: 6:06.

Instagram is one of the top social media

platforms for building an audience for your

business. building an audience that

sticks, and that is your ideal client is a bit

of a trick though. in this video, I'm going

to walk you through the best way for you

to build an audience that sticks, and

that becomes your raving fans.

if you want to invest the time in

building your account to attract the

right people that are in love with your

brand and your business, then you are going

to want to stick around. and... if you want

some professional quality photos to post

to your Instagram account, to attract

your ideal clients, be sure to stick around the

end of this video, so you can download my

free image pack.

I'm sure you have heard

of follow4follow, or buying followers for

Instagram. that may make you look

really popular, but these people are not

genuinely interested in you and your

brand. they are not going to stick around,

and they are not going to engage in your

content. and that is what you really want.

growing that following does not happen

overnight. it takes time, and an

investment on your part to make it a

priority. so I'm going to talk about not

only how to grow your following, but how

to keep them engaged.

one: post content frequently

at least one post per day. two

if you really want to build momentum.

test the times of day to post, to find

out when your audience is most engaged.

you can research "best times of day to post"

but mostly it's going to be trial and

error as it will depend on a variety of

factors... like timezone.

Two: post quality

more important than frequency, is the quality

of your posts. that's the image, and the

written content.

this means eye-grabbing images and copy

that speaks directly into the ear of

your ideal audience. what are their pain

points? and how can you speak directly to

those pain points in a language that

resonates for your audience. when people

are engage with your content... meaning

they're leaving comments or liking your

posts, then this boosts your post up

because of the Instagram algorithm, which

gives it more visibility, which leads me to...

three: call to action

give your audience prompts to engage. ask them a

question. ask for their opinion, and

tell them to leave a comment. or you

could simply say something like "leave a

one in the comments below if you agree."

ideally you want to have longer comments,

however something like that is a really

simple call to action that you can give

that they can implement right away.

Four: Hashtags

use relevant niche hashtag.

hashtags are the keywords that people

search for. this is how your post can get

exposure to a new audience. I did a whole

tutorial on how to research these

hashtags. be sure to check that out as I

show you how to discover nice hashtags

that work for your business. rather than

popular hashtags, which people are

posting to so frequently that your posts

get buried within seconds. save and reuse

the niche hashtags that you love, so that

you're gaining visibility in the hashtag searches

Five: answer every comment

leave meaningful replies to people's

comments and if appropriate, ask a

question to encourage more engagement.

Six: engagement

make it about them not about you.

this is the most important step of all,

and I cannot emphasize it enough. more

important than what you are posting, is

what your audience is posting, and how

you are engaging with their posts. a good

rule to follow is: for every post that

you make, go and engage with 10 people in

your audience, or one of the search

hashtags that you used.

don't promote your own content.

leave a meaningful

comment about their content, cheer them

on, and add to the conversation... and add

value.

Instagram is a conversation. when you

are engaged in dialogue in real life

do you barge into the conversation and

demand that people listen to what you

have to say? no, you politely enter, listen and engage.

Seven: visit the profiles of

the people who have commented, liked or

engaged with your posts. and if their

content resonates with you: like, comment

and engage with their posts in a genuine

way. and follow them if they are somebody

that you want to stay connected with.

Bonus tip: turn notifications on for

people that you really want to build a

relationship with. not only will you be

one of the first people to engage with

them, but it also sends a signal that you

care about the content that they are

producing and you're interested in what

they're talking about.

remember, this is not a numbers game. if

you only have five followers, but those

five followers are really interested in

what you have to say, and they're

engaging with your content,

then those five followers are more

valuable than hundreds of followers that

could care less what you're saying. if you

invest in nurturing the relationships of the

people who engage with you. like, really

invest in them. become invested in

their success and their story. make it

more about them, and less about you. and

your business will grow over time with

quality people who adore you and your

brand. I've given you the formula to

attract a meaningful following to your Instagram.

now, what are you going to post to really wow them?

to help give you some valuable, professional

content, I have created this FREE image

pack, for you to download and use in your

Instagram feed or branding in general.

if you like this video, please hit the

like button below, share with your

friends, and be sure to subscribe.

I'd love to hear from you as well. what

are some of your pain points when it

comes to building an audience on

instagram or any of your social media

platforms? leave the comments below or

head on over to monashee.org to

have a conversation there.

thank you so much for watching, I'm

Monashee, and I will see you in the next video.

and this is how your audience... no.

how your posts can get engage... no

and your business... no

answer every question... no

thank you so much for monash...

monashee... thank you so much for monashee...

I hope that was sharp.

Art Journal · 30 Ways to Fill a Sketchbook - Duration: 4:30.

Hi my loves, welcome back.

For today's sketchbook page I decided to do something you'll know I love doing if

you've seen my travel journals.

Sometimes it's just really lovely to record your memories in a visual way, mix photos

and drawings and souvenirs.

This page is for the little weekend trip I took you might remember me talking about just

before christmas.

So I started out by cutting a couple of squares of black card just to break up the page a

bit, I don't mind a pure white page but for this one I wanted a lot of contrast.

I started trying a few ideas for layouts, just putting the bigger elements onto the

page first so a train ticket and a couple of photos.

I print the photos on my regular printer, I print them onto sticky photo paper though

which really isn't necessary its just the only photo paper I have at the moment.

And once I was happy with the layout of things I stuck them down.

I like to put the big bits on first and fit the rest around them.

So the first picture is of the lovely sunset through the trees and the second picture is

of the fireplace in the house, a really nice big log burner with a couple of stockings

hanging up above it and a game of twister going on in the bottom corner, so you can

tell it was just a proper cosy slumber party girls weekend away.

I stuck my favourite matte black washi tape underneath to give room to write a description

for the photos and then I started really lightly blocking out different areas across the pages

where I would focus my writing.

I tend to write in a couple of different sizes to give emphasis to certain things so larger

text is represented with a box and smaller, more detailed descriptions and things a draw

in as lines.

But its all very quick and light and loose, none of it is set in stone.

So next i really quickly laid out a sketch of the building itself that I really wanted

to include.

It's a friends families house out in a more rural area of England, we've been going

out there for little getaways for years and years, its just the perfect secluded escape

into nature, especially for us city girls.

Its always amazing to see how many stars there are once you're away from all the light

pollution.

And you know, putting on wellies to go out and chop firewood, it's pretty idyllic.

And the house itself is a stunning, centuries old building, it even has its own little clock

tower, maybe I'm easily impressed but I think that's quite cool.

As you can tell, I don't spend too much time or put too much detail into this or any

of my art journal pages really.

I like to keep it nice and natural, if I put too much thought into it I kind of lose the

authenticity of those moments.

So once Im done with the drawing, I start adding text.

I generally follow this ordered of doing things, its easier to squeeze your writing in somewhere

rather that trying to cram your photos and drawings around your text.

And I keep the text minimal, just focussing on the highlights and things that will remind

me of the mood of the trip.

So next to the train ticket I wrote about how we missed our stop because we were too

busy drinking prosecco, which kind of set the tone for the silly playful weekend, then

I wrote in a title, bold enough to just summarise the page if its something that I'm just

gonna look back on in passing.

And then I used the black box to go into more detail about who the trip was with, I think

that's quite important as well.

And then it was just a case of adding a few little extras to the page, a caption for the

photo and some writing about what we got up to, I wrote about how all we did was eat and

listen ato good music and watch old films and eat more.

And then because I felt the page was feeling a bit bare, I added some ink details just

just give it a bit of panache.

And that's that.

I hope you enjoyed todays video, if you're ever lacking in ideas for a sketchbook page,

why not write about a trip you took or even just what you did on the weekend.

Thanks so much for watching guys, oh and happy valentines day, if nothing else today, don't

forget to give yourself a bit of love and appreciation for being so great!

I'll see all you next time, bye!

Alcohol-related liver disease (alcoholic hepatitis) - causes, symptoms & pathology - Duration: 5:51.

Alright, so when you drink alcohol, what happens?

Well, okay, what happens to the alcohol?

Well that's mainly your liver's job, right?

Basically, once the alcohol gets to your stomach, most of it's sent to your liver for processing.

In very small amounts, alcohol is more or less harmless, but in excess, it can lead

to serious liver complications, and is the leading cause of liver disease in western

nations.

Once in the liver cells or hepatocytes, it can take one of three pathways, one of which

involves an enzyme called alcohol dehydrogenase or simply ADH, and this happens in the cytosol

of the cell, another involves a catalase inside organelles called peroxisomes, and a third

involves being converted by the enzyme cytochrome P450 2E1, sometimes just shortened to CYP2E1.

All three of these pathways lead to the conversion of alcohol to acetaldehyde.

Once the ADH enzyme is used to convert the alcohol, it needs another compound called

NAD+, which is then converted into NADH.

As NADH levels increase, and NAD+ levels decrease, this has two effects, higher NADH levels tell

the cell to start producing more fatty acids, and lower NAD+ levels result in less fatty

acid oxidation, both of which lead to more fat production in the liver.

Now excessive fat in the liver is also known as fatty change or fatty liver, where it gets

large, heavy, greasy, and tender, but typically at this point, patients don't have symptoms

like fever or high levels of neutrophils in the blood.

The liver also often takes on a more yellowish color, which is due to all these fat deposits,

and we can see that on histology.

All these circles are deposits of fat that contribute to fatty liver disease, and sometimes

this buildup of fat in the liver is referred to as steatosis.

Treating fatty liver disease usually involves simply stopping the alcohol consumption.

K so that's fatty liver, but that's not the only thing that excessive alcohol consumption

can cause, right?

Looking back at our pathways, when you make acetaldehyde from ethanol, you also start

to generate these ominous sounding compounds called reactive oxygen species.

You can probably guess that these guys are super reactive and contain oxygen, some examples

are like hydrogen peroxide, the hydroxyl radical, or the superoxide anion.

These reactive oxygen species react with different components of the hepatocyte, like proteins

and even DNA, and this process can cause serious damage to the cells.

Besides producing reactive oxygen species, now we've also got acetaldehyde to worry

about.

This compound can bind to macromolecules, enzymes, the cell membrane, and all sorts

of other compounds inside the cell.

When they bind to some of these, they effectively inhibit that molecule.

And when that happens, they form what are called acetaldehyde adducts.

And when those are formed, your immune system recognizes these new compounds as foreign

and starts sending neutrophils in to sort of clean up the damage.

So not only do you get these adducts binding to and potentially messing with the function

of certain molecules in the cell, you also get destruction of hepatocytes by the neutrophilic

infiltration.

As cells become inflamed and damaged, patients have developed alcoholic hepatitis, and we

start to note a change on histology and notice these bundles of proteins called Mallory bodies,

specifically these are damaged intermediate filaments and are located in the cytoplasm

of hepatocytes, the mechanism that produces these bodies is still unclear, but they're

most commonly seen in alcoholic hepatitis.

At this point the patient may have hepatomegaly that's probably become painful, since the

liver's seeing more immune cells, they also may have neutrophilic leukocytosis, or an

increased neutrophils in the blood.

Also, as cells become damaged and die off, scar tissue starts to form around the central

veins in the liver, known as perivenular fibrosis.

The damage done to hepatocytes also results in leakage of liver enzymes like alanine aminotransferase

(or ALT) or aspartate aminotransferase (or AST), both types of transaminase, usually

even though both are elevated, AST will be found to be greater than ALT in alcoholic

hepatitis.

In addition to these two, serum alkaline phosphatase (or ALP) and gamma glutamyltransferase (or

GGT) will also be elevated.

In some cases, thrombocytopenia, a deficiency of platelets in the blood as well as possible

hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, can also be found in blood of someone with alcoholic

liver disease.

Treatment again involves completely stopping alcohol consumption, and in some cases corticosteroids

can help suppress the immune system.

Finally, if allowed to progress far enough, chronic alcohol-induced liver damage may lead

to cirrhosis and liver failure.

How to Draw Donald ♦ Thomas and Friends ♦ Drawing and Colors Learning video for Preschoolers - Duration: 8:59.

Today we're having a twin lesson?

YOu ask why?

Because we're gonna draw one of the Scottish twin engines - Donald.

So, first off, i will draw Donald's walkway platform: jsut two parallel lines.

And the front with two buffers and a towing hook between them.

And then the basis of Donald's tender.

After that, im drawing Donald's face - just an oval, then his two eyes, nose, and smiling

face.

Then he has eyebrows here and smoke box right behind his face.

LIke this!)

Next im drawing Donald's main body with arches down here.

hERE on the side im showing the handrail

and then on the very top you will see Donald's smoke stack.

After that, his sand box and at the back - the whistle.

Here goes Donald's nameplate with the name right in the center

and several stripes on the side.

Then im starting to draw Donald's cab: small window here, side panel, the roof, and a door

down here.

Here im switching to the cab again: just a several parallel lines and then, look!

Number 9 in the very center!

WOnderful!

Now three big driving wheels: central, front and rear one.

Connecting rods between them..

And a few more details on the wheels.

And don't forget about the wheel on the other side.

A long straight line here as the land.

After that three small wheels for the tender.

Here we go!

And one more on that side.

That's perfect!!!

We are fully ready to start applying colors to Donald!

My first color will be red.

RED.

It's for some details on the tender, a bit here, then for the front here, nameplate,

contours of the door, number nine's contour.

Cool!

I will take yellow next.

YELLOW.

Just for the number!

LIke this!

Grey color will be next.

GREY.

IT will go for Donald's face, and a bit for his body.

THAT'S enough!

Black comes to us here.

BLACK.

I will use it for the cab's roof, then side panel, front part and a lot of black over

the whole Donald's body: upper part, middle section, lower part, smokestack, sand dome.

And then some black for the wheels.

After that, im adding black to the tender: upper part, sides, front, wheels, simply everywhere!))

And a few more strokes in the lower area.

Alrighty!

Well done here!!

Donald is looking so real thanks to you!!

Thank you, kids!
