Waching daily May 4 2017

hey you it's Evie or Fibro mom you know

most of my videos here are based on

chronic illnesses but these are

different video to be quite honest today

I don't want to talk about chronic

illnesses any of that crap not today

I'm so sorry sometimes you need that

little break I'm sure some of you can

understand that you just can't talk

about it all the time and that's why I

do mix videos here and so I have my

other channel and maybe you like this

one so I've seen these videos where

people have talked about stupid things

they have thought when they were kids

and I thought about them and I remember

a few of them so I thought I'd share

them with you if you're listening to

these let me know if you have any

because I'd love to hear them maybe if

you guys could have enough if you want

to tweet me comment below snapchat me

whatever it is and share them with me

and to share them with me or maybe I can

make another video of it I just think

they're I just think they're really fun

to listen to

okay so the first one I want to you guys

about is my oldest brother Josh he's

about four or five years older than me

do you guys remember that song grandma

got ran over by a reindeer okay that one

every time he heard that one looks like

because he thought grandma got ran over

by a reindeer he knows I have a channel

actually both my brothers do so if he's

watching us love you Josh the other one

although Josh was when he was really

little I think mom said he was around

three Sanders age and remember mr. clean

we wash the mop the floors wet oh yeah

they have mr. clean Dre erasers now

well every time my mom would take the

stuff out and clean the floors he would

see the picture of mr. clean and he

would go around the house when he would

know my mom's going to use mr. clean

Josh would go around the house literally

looking for mr. clean mom said he would

look in the toilet he would look under

sinks he would look behind the doors

and you'd be calling mr. clean mr. clean

where are you alright the next one

brother Dawson he's two years older than

me we both have our birthdays May 15th

Gracie says coming up by the way she's

May 11th which is a Bey before if I were

mailed to Ranse

how crazy is that one of the things that

Dustin thought was emails I don't know

what to call him I don't say power plant

but they had a lot of like electrical

electrical station I don't know what

they're called I'm so genius and really

planned this video out but he is to

think and he swore that aliens split

their way I can't think of it that makes

sense a kid's perspective you know cause

it is kind of crazy looking and nobody

talks about it so what is it like it's a

secret thing the other one is hilarious

mom had told us that milk come from cows

and chocolate milk comes from brown cows

I swear to god you guys my brother

believed this until he was like 13 years

old 13 and 14 like you don't believe me

I'll prove you next video

he believed that until he was like 13 14

years old yeah I got a few for you that

I remember well Nathan um after I

thought a couple about me and my

brothers I I asked Nathan and you said

one of the things that he ver can recall

was he remember asking for something

from his parents something that he

wanted them to buy for him and his mom

dad would say I'm sorry yeah we don't

have any money right now or I don't have

any cash on me right now and Nathan

would always say well just go to the

bank because the explore that money was

free so I thought that was cute I had to

share that one I used to love Kiwis all

the time and when my mom would pick them

up and they were pretty you know they

were expensive not like they are now but

we would be kids eat the Kiwi or just

eating them like man well my mother

decided to tell me yes I know mom's

watching this and I'll never forget it

my mom told me that

we're here nuts dear testicle my mother

told me

Kiwis were dear nuts when I was like I

don't know like six round Gracie's age

you guys I didn't eat a Kiwi for years

another one my stepdad was telling me

that marshmallow for snowman poop so

that was another thing I wouldn't eat

okay this this one's really cute anyways

I don't remember this almost been really

little and you know my mom was a single

mom of three kids and she had to really

be up on her toes because it was went

Josh she would be like eight Dustin was

six and before so you know it was just

she had her hands full with on we were

in the store it was a busy day she just

got off work we had a run of the store

quick get home for dinner and I had

asked her why this woman was black and

she said we happened to be in the cookie

section so she just to come up with

something quick she would say because

she ate too many Oreos so I guess I

would call dark-skinned people Oreo

people and after that she she had taught

me obviously the right way because I've

never been prejudiced and you know when

we could actually sit down and talk

about it those are some stories you guys

I hope you really like them to share

your stories with me there are we still

fun here maybe it's just me but I just I

find them really fun give me a thumbs up

if you liked this video and you want

more fun ones like this and hopefully

you liked it too and if you're new here

please subscribe and I do all sorts of

different kind of videos watch my hula

slide them on video if you want to get

to know me better I hope you're doing

alright if you're not hanging in there

and I hope you feel better soon

great see you next video budget if you

want to see some crazy and also they say

you should meet a my friends even though

we got no money to show itself on it

- We're really, really busy.

We've got loads of work.

- [Woman] Right.

- So I wondered if

you would be willing to

let me have one of your daughters for a couple of hours.

We're willing to pay her a penny in old money,

which is 60p in new money.

- [Woman] Yep, I don't see any reason why not.

- And I don't know if you wanted to--

I'm happy for Sadie, as well,

if you wanted to come.

- Mmm.

- [Narrator] They'll lose some flour-making manpower,

but they can't turn down the chance

of slightly-better paid work.

- [Mandy] We can't pay you until we get paid.

- [Woman] Okay.

- Our delivery's due on Monday,

then we'll absolutely pay you--

- [Woman] Okay.

- If that's all right.

- But I need to take them now.

- Give us a kiss.

Work hard, love you.

- [Woman] Buh-bye.

(somber music)

- Hello. - Hello.

- I've brought help,

I brought home Sadie and Olivia.

- So, it sounds really simple,

but it's a really important job.

- I think mom will be pleased because I can pay,

well, help pay the rent,

so that we're not short.

I've learned sewing and I really, really like it.

I'm actually quite good at it, as well, so.

- Child labor doesn't sit right with me.

I don't believe children should be working.

But the most astounding thing, to me, out of all of this,

was they were so grateful.

Genuinely grateful for a few pennies.

They worked as well as the parents.

So, obviously, there was no chance of them going to school.

There was no chance of an education.

They were stuck.

They're stuck in the environment they were born in.

And that's tragic,

it's really, really tragic.

WHAT DOES POPE FRANCIS KNOW ABOUT THE 'REPTILIAN' DEVIL - Duration: 6:33.

WHAT DOES POPE FRANCIS KNOW ABOUT THE REPTILIAN DEVIL?

Pope Francis is no stranger to talking about the devil as he is known to speak about him

in public speeches and take to Twitter with mention of Satan, the Evil one, Ancient Serpent

and the Great Dragon, to name just a few aliases.

Pope Francis doesnt see the devil as being something of a myth.

Instead, he sees the entity as a person who is real.

Many greet the insistence dismissively, with indifference or curiosity.

However, Francis is always referring to the devil on a continual basis, believing that

the devil is the single most insidious enemy of the church.

Several colleagues seem to think that perhaps he has gone overboard.

But why is the pope so hyped up about the devil that he continually talks about him?

Pope Francis is intelligent and he tends to look into places where very few Catholic clerics

in modern times dare to tread.

The preoccupation of Francis with the devil isnt an eschatological or theological question

any more than a call to arms, offering steps that are concrete to fight with the devil

along with reign of evil that is in the world today.

POPE FRANCIS WARNS AGAINST BECOMING PREY TO NEGATIVITY

Pope Francis has warned people to avoid discouragement and to grab hope with both hands, to have

the courage and not become prey to cynicism or negativity.

Francis draws on the insight of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.

He continually makes reference to the devil, however, he parts ways with any current preaching,

which remains silent and doesnt speak up about the devil and nor the insidious ways

to reduce him to only a metaphor.

Following the first months of the pontificate during 2013, Pope Francis talked about the

devil most frequently in messages and even in the first big address to those who had

him elected, he told them to not give in to the pessimism that the devil offers every

day.

PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE NAIVE He has also shared homilies on a daily basis in the Vatican guesthouse

chapel with congregations that have paid him rapt attention as he went on about the devil.

He is always stressing that people should not be nave and warn that the devil is

shrewd and isnt cast out forever.

The pope has even issued calls to arms saying that the devil exists in the 21st century

and people should learn from the gospel about how to fight against him.

He gave Christians a warning that they should not be nave about the ways of the devil

and went on to say that he is anything but a relic.

Francis has preached in the past about the devil being intelligent.

THE DEVIL IS DISGUISED AS AN ANGEL When he was newly elected the Pope spoke before a

crowd on Palm Sunday and said that Christians are faced with trials.

He said that while Jesus is close by, so is the devil, which comes to people disguised

as an angel and speaks his words.

On July 12 Pope Francis prepared a text that he was going to deliver and presented the

job description of the devil.

He said that the devil is a con artist who makes promises that he cannot keep and never

does a thing that he says he will do.

He never makes good on the promises he makes.

He makes people want things that he cannot give them and makes people put their hopes

in things that are not going to make them happy.

THOSE WHO FOLLOW JESUS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE DEVIL Ever since the start of his papacy,

Pope Francis has warned that if people want to follow Jesus they must be aware of the

devil.

He has said that the life of every Christian is always a battle against evil, the same

as Jesus had in his lifetime when he struggled to fight against the devil along with all

the temptations.

The pope always wants to call people back to reality in all the references he makes

to the devil, a devil that he believes is very active in the lives of people and church,

drawing people into despair, negativity, sadness, nostalgia and meanness of spirit.

Each of the temptations that Pope Francis speaks openly about is the realistic flip

side of the heart of the Argentine Jesuit.

His message is about the world that is charged with mercy, presence, grandeur and the fidelity

of God, all of which are far greater powers than any antics

of the devil.

Top 5 Double Pointed Needle Tips - Duration: 9:13.

Knitting with double pointed needles?

Here are five tips to make things easier, neater and safer for your knitting.

Alright, let's go!

Tip 1: Tug at the Transfer.

When you're moving from one needle to another, you want to make sure that you tug on your

working yarn.

So let's see what that means.

I'm going to move on to my next needle over here to do a transfer.

Here's my working yarn.

I'm going to go around my naked needle, and knit into that first stitch.

So here's my first stitch, and I just want to give a bit of a tug to make sure the tension

is nice and snug between these two needles.

After I've done that I can continue knitting as normal across this needle.

That's important because when you're transferring from needle to needle you want to keep that

tension even.

You don't want to leave a loose gap between each needle.

Here's what happens when you don't tug at the transfer.

At each transfer point, there's this very loose jog that happens.

It sort of runs down our whole work.

Let's take a look at the next join over here.

Here's our join, and you can see that there's this loose strand of yarn that happens.

Here's our next join and again, there's a very loose strand of yarn.

The rest of our work is very even, but where the join is there's this sort of looseness

that happens.

So you can avoid this by tugging at your transfer.

Tip 2: Protect your stitches

If you plan on bringing your knitting with you, like say you want to pop it in your bag

so you can knit during your commute, you'll want to introduce stitch protectors to your

needles.

Because your double pointed needles don't have a stopper on each end, it's really

easy for your knitting to just fall off - like this.

Ah!

Disaster!

So to prevent this from happening, you can put a temporary stopper onto your needle.

You can buy official ones that look like this.

These are from Amazon.

They're a couple bucks, and I'll throw a link to them in the description box.

Now the other option is to make your own.

A rubber band is all you need.

You're just going to take a rubber band and wrap it around the tip of your needle.

So I'm going in an inch down from the tip, and I'm wrapping this guy around my needle.

Here we go.

Okay, so it's pretty secure.

It's kind of tacky, and look, when I try and push my stitches off my needle, it's

not going to happen.

Not happening, right?

Because I have this rubber band stopper preventing my stitches from falling off.

Pretty cool, right?

You're going to need two rubber bands per needle because we still have this side to

contend with.

So here's my other rubber band.

This one's a huge one.

I don't even know where I got that one from.

This is a monster rubber band, and I'm going to wrap it around a couple times and here

we go.

Makeshift stoppers.

Now I can wrap more rubber bands around each needle and then I don't have to worry about

my stitches falling off my needle.

So there you go.

Remember to protect your stitches with fancy protectors or with plain old rubber bands.

Tip 3: Bamboo or wood is good

If you're wondering what kind of double pointed needles you should get, consider bamboo

or wooden needles.

I find bamboo or wooden needles are better for beginners because they have kind of a

natural surface drag that holds onto stitches better than metal or plastic needles.

Tip 4: Trap a stitch marker

Previously I said that you didn't need to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning

and end of your round on double pointed needles because you've got this handy little remnant

of your longtail cast on.

This little tail tells you where the beginning and end of your round is.

It's right here, so I know that it's right between these two needles.

However, there are some situations in which you maybe want to put in a stitch marker because

you don't want to knit past the beginning and end of your round.

Maybe you're knitting a complicated stitch pattern, you just want this guy in there.

So, you can put your stitch marker right on your needle, just like that.

But you'll notice that if I turn my work at all - oopsie.

My stitch marker just comes right off.

So that's because when you put your stitch marker on your needle, there's no other

stitch on the other side of your marker to prevent it from just popping off.

So what you can do is put on your stitch marker, and we're going to steal one of these stitches

from our right needle and pop it onto our left needle.

By doing that, we'll trap our stitch marker in place.

Here we go.

I'm going to move my stitches up close to my needle and get my left needle out and just

grab that stitch.

I'm going to push my stitches into the middle of my needle so they don't fall off, and

voila.

You can see that now my stitch marker is trapped in place because we've got this new stitch

over on this needle.

So you can do that.

You can just move your stitches around.

Take a stitch from this needle and pop it on this needle.

I can redistribute the stitches however I want.

So that's a really easy way to add in a stitch marker to your knitting.

Tip 5: Make an invisible join

I've got two samples here, and this sample was join just normally.

We knit in the round on our double pointed needles.

You can see here, if we zoom in, you can see that there's a bit of a gap where we joined

in the round.

You can see a bit of looseness here, right?

It's not terrible.

You can fix it by weaving in the end of your longtail and tightening up that gap, but another

way that you can achieve that nice seamless join, is by doing an invisible join.

You can see on this sample here that there's no jog or a gap where we joined in the round.

It's a nice seamless join.

I'm going to show you how to do that next, so let's get into it.

So, to make this invisible join, you're going to cast on one extra stitch than what

you need.

For example, if you need thirty stitches, you'd cast on thirty-one stitches.

That extra stitch is going to get absorbed into our join, so don't worry about it.

It's not going to throw off your stitch count.

That stitch will disappear.

So, you're going to push your stitches on your right and left needle up close to the

tip of both of your needles.

Now we're going to steal the last stitch on our right needle and bring it onto our

left needle.

I'm going to go into the stitch and take it off my right needle.

So, I've got my hand - whoops!

Everything's falling around - I've got my hand holding onto my longtail cast on right

here because i don't want it to unravel and for my stitch to come undone.

So, I'm just holding onto it right now with my thumb.

What's going to happen now, is you're going to take this stitch here - this second

stitch - on your left needle and bring it over the stitch that you just stole.

That sounds kind of complicated.

I'm going to use a separate needle for this.

I think it's just a bit easier.

I'm going to go into this stitch just like that, and I'm going to bring it over this

stitch.

Alright, so watch me go.

Let's see if I can't do this.

Just going to bring it over.

There we go.

Alright, I've just brought that second stitch over my first stitch, and now you can see

that I've joined in the round.

That's not the end of it.

I'm going to take my working yarn and give it a tug.

Then, I'm going to take back this first stitch and bring it back to my right needle.

I'm just going to grab it and bring it back over to my right needle.

Now I'm ready to work my first round.

Now everything's joined in the round.

One of my stitches is down here because I took that stitch and brought it over my first

stitch.

So I've actually decreased one stitch.

That's where our extra stitch has gone.

It's gone down here, right here.

It's actually what's creating that nice join on our round.

Okay, so at this point I'm going to start knitting in the round.

This would be my round one, and I'm going to start knitting as normal.

As you knit, you'll find that that join looks really nice, neat and even.

There you go.

Five tips to make double pointed knitting easier, neater and safer - protect your stitches!

Could We Build A DEATH STAR? How Much Is The Death Star Worth - Duration: 6:25.

That's no space station, that's a moon.

Ah shit! You know the Death Star, that giant

space titty the Imperial Empire used to

destroy Alderaan and nearly destroy Yavin

4, could we build one of those in real

life? How much would it cost, how long

would it take, what effect will it have

on Earth?

One thing though, it may need a name

change.

You'd think the Imperials would realize

that they were the bad guys when their

ultimate weapon is called the Death Star.

Now with a new Star Wars film coming out

every year seemingly until the end of

time, how realistic is it to build a

giant space station capable of

destroying planets? Could we actually

build a Death Star, why would we want to?

Well I mean there's there's no real

reason other than it being completely

and totally badass but I guess that's

about it. The Obama administration

already turned down the opportunity to

make one and Trumpp would probably

rather make one that's just his own face

so the chances of us actually getting

one are slim. But still! The DS 1

platform cost one trillion of your

galactic credits to build. But I know

what you're thinking that's chump change

what would it cost in real money. Well if

it was built to scale, that's about 140

to 160 kilometers in diameter that would

be... 850 quadrillion

dollars. And that's just for the steel

alone. I'll kindly remind you that's about

13,000 times the world's GDP. But I know

what you're thinking, the Empire they had

a whole galaxy of planets to take

resources from we've only got one

teeny-tiny planet. But at today's rate of

steel production it would take eight

hundred and thirty three thousand three

hundred and fifteen years to create

enough steel to start building. Ok steel is out,

it wouldn't work very well in

space anyway we're going to use

aluminium and other composites to build it. Now it

costs thousands of dollars to send even a

pound of material into space so, get this,

how about we get our material from space.

Mine an asteroid! Okay we are already

way beyond our current technological

capabilities but stay with me. So we

build the shell using aluminium and

carbon composites,

now what about radiation huh anyone

stays on this for too long their goose

is cooked

they're totally dunzo so how about this

we use water which as it turns out is a

great barrier against radiation. Plus you

can drink it. Stick a nuclear reactor in

there and you got yourself a goddamn

space station. Now what... Unlimited Power! What's the

point in having this friggin awesome

creation if you can't blow shit up with it.

Frickin lasers man. Well to destroy an

Earth-like planets it would need this

many joules of energy. That is the

equivalent of an entire week of the

sun's energy output. I don't know much

about energy but it seems like a lot. The

Death Star uses a weapon powered by a

HyperMatter reactor and focused through

giant Kyber crystals. Unfortunately I

don't think we have many of them lying

around. What we do have though is a mega

watt laser that can burn a hole through

a jet from six miles away.

Though it needs to maintain contact with

the aircraft for one or two seconds. In a

1998 test, MIRACL a 2.2 mega watt laser

was able to hit a satellite in Earth

orbit. MIRACL purposely did not destroy

the satellite since the test was

designed merely to show that the laser

could target and hit the satellite but

researchers say that the laser could

just as easily have melted it. To

vaporize a planet we'd need a laser

with a billion trillion times the energy

of MIRACL. Although another way to

destroy a planet is if the laser could

vaporize a narrow tunnel to the core of

the planet then heat the core so it

expands and melts. Maybe not a big

amazing explosion but it would certainly

spell destruction for that planet. Ok so

far so good, so how long is it going to take me

to get my Death Star I want it now. In

Star Wars it took about 20 years roughly

from Luke's birth until the first movie (A New Hope),

in real life probably somewhere between

300 and 1000 years. So yeah again the

Empire they had an entire galaxy of

resources and slave labor we have one

planet and we can't even control all the

resources on it so we're at a bit of a

disadvantage.

Ok so it would take quite a long time to

build that's even if we had the

resources which are light-years away

from what we currently have now, but say

it magically appeared off the coast of

Earth what if we just like decided to

destroy Venus for the craic what would happen?

Now witness the firepower of this fully

armed and operational battle station.

Well if we destroyed another planet in

our system it would affect us in more

ways than just being a big awesome light

show. Blow up Venus which is roughly the

same size as Earth and we're talking

about more than just an awesome light

Try bright enough to ignite the

atmosphere and scour the surface of our

planet clean. Ok so maybe not Venus. Even

if we were to blow up Pluto there would

still be debris, it may take decades or

centuries to reach us but it would

probably reach us. The removal of Jupiter

or Saturn from our system would have

huge implications on the gravity of the

rest of the solar system. Planets might spin out,

Earth could go rogue and just

fly out of the solar system into a cold

lifeless space. It's incredibly unlikely

because the Sun's gravity would keep us

around but who knows what could happen

it could just totally mess up everything.

I've got a bad feeling about this. Ok so

maybe it wouldn't be the best thing to

have our own planet destroying Death Star,

it would be a waste of time, energy,

resources we don't have and as the White

House Science and Technology advisor

said, "Why would we spend countless

taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a

fundamental flaw that can be exploited

by a one man starship." But they also

said this administration does not

support the blowing up of planets so... I bet they're fun at parties!

3 Bebop Exercises and how to turn them into Jazz Guitar Licks - Duration: 9:35.

(guitar music)

- Hi everybody, my name is Jens Larsen.

In this video, I'm gonna go over three different

exercises that you can use to make better bebop lines.

So through all the exercises are in the key of G Major.

And I'm gonna end up demonstrating how to use these

different exercises on II V I, the key of G Major.

And I think the gears not so much that these are

not exercises that you drill and play as fast as possible.

More stuff, that you work through and try to get a little

bit used to and then see them as more compositional tools

and stuff you can experiment with when you're coming

up with your own lines but let's just

talk about the exercises first.

The first exercise is a way of playing diatonic arpeggios.

If you analyze some bebop solos from people like

Charlie Parker or Dizzy Gillespie, you'll find

that very often when they're playing arpeggios,

they'll really emphasize the top note.

And the way they'll do that is by playing the arpeggio

partly as a triplet and also by adding a leading note

before the arpeggio so how this works is if we take a G

major seven arpeggio like this one.

(guitar music)

And then we're gonna add a leading note so in this case,

the command lead note before the first note is gonna

be an f sharp. (guitar music)

Then we're gonna play three notes as a triplet so we get.

(guitar music)

And then that's really gonna bring out the top note

so we get this. (guitar music)

And if I take that through the scale, it sounds like this.

(guitar music)

Working on this exercise in position like I just did

is a really good idea, it's quite the challenge for

your right hand also and another way that you probably

wanna check this out is to do it along the neck instead.

So if I do it on the middle string set,

that could be something like this.

(guitar music)

The second exercise is to add a passing note in between

any two notes in the major scale so if we take out

g major scale like this. (guitar music)

So we have one octave of g major.

What I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna add simply

a chromatic passing note between any of the notes in there.

So if we take between the g, between the first two notes

so between the g and and the a, we can use a g sharp.

(guitar music)

So we get that exercise. (guitar music)

And that's fairly simple, if we do the same between a and b.

We're gonna use the a sharp, so.

(guitar music)

And then now we get to the b and the c.

Here's a little bit more tricky because we don't actually

have a half step in between b and c.

But what we can do and this is something that I picked

up from some Barry Harris Masterclasses

that I went to a long time ago.

What we can do is that we can use the diatonic note

that's one step above the c.

(guitar music)

And in the scale, that's gonna be.

(guitar music)

And if we add a command E note in between c and d,

then we get this. (guitar music)

I think you get the picture of how this works.

So I'm not gonna cover all the different degrees of the

scale, one thing that you could do if you want to take

this a little bit further is to start adding passing notes

at several places in the scale.

If I want to add a chromatic leading note between a and b

and between b and c, then I get this.

(guitar music)

So in that way, you get small melodies that you

can already start to incorporate

into your playing and see what works.

The way I work with these things is that I think

of these passing notes as something else than a scale.

I know that some people work on bebop scales

which are seven note scales with

a sort of static passing note added.

For me, that doesn't work that well because I want to

use the passing notes as something that's not really

a part of the scale and I want to have the freedom to

put them everywhere I want them and that's why I tend

to just stick with the major scale and not work

too much on these be bop scales.

The third exercise is called octave displacement.

So if we take it really simple II V I in the key of G,

that could be something like this.

(guitar music)

First an Am7 arpeggio and then

a scale run on the D7. (guitar music)

That resolves nicely to the third G major.

So very simple line, the way octave displacement works

is that we can actually transpose part of the line an octave

and then we're gonna get with the same notes a completely

different melody, probably you wanna have the displacement

not on the beat so if I displace the high g, this one,

down an octave and then move the melody from there,

you get this. (guitar music)

So I'm playing the same notes but I'm getting a

different melody out of it.

Another place, so this is an arpeggio and it basically

what I'm doing here is I'm kind of

creating an inversion of the arpeggio.

Another place you can do it is in the scale run.

So if I make an octave displacement between the f sharp

and the e, you get this line. (guitar music)

And you can of course, also use two octave displacements,

then you get this. (guitar music)

So as you can tell, this is a great technique to

add some larger intervals to your lines, especially

if you're already capable of making some strong lines

with arpeggios and scale runs.

Let's start looking at some of the examples that

put all these three techniques to use.

(guitar music)

So in this example, I'm starting off with using the idea

of the leading note and the triplet on the arpeggios.

So starting on the g sharp and then moving up the a

minor seven arpeggio. (guitar music)

To the G, from here I continue up the scale and then I've

added a passing note in between the a and the b, so.

(guitar music) Then on the D7,

I've started on the C, then I'm running down the scale.

(guitar music)

Down to the F# and here I'm using octave displacement.

Because the line here is basically just a descending

diminished arpeggio so. (guitar music)

That's resolved to B but I'm skipping up so I'm

transposing the e flat up an octave.

(guitar music)

And then resolving to this higher B.

(guitar music)

So in this example, I'm starting off on D and basically

I'm just using the same ideas of the arpeggio

with the triplet on the e note but now I'm using

from the third of the Am so it's from a Cmaj7.

(guitar music)

And then we get this phrase which is in fact using

sort the chromatic leading note between b and c, so.

(guitar music)

Since I can't add a note there, I take the one that's.

(guitar music) That's diatonically above

that so that's a D. (guitar music)

And then I'm moving up to the b9, the D7.

(guitar music)

And now I'm so high so the line actually wants to continue

up the diminished arpeggio but I'm doing that by displacing

it down an octave first, so. (guitar music)

And then descending in the arpeggio again.

(guitar music)

Resolving to the fifth of g major.

(guitar music)

So in this example, I'm again using the c major seven

arpeggio but now I'm using an octave lower.

So I'm starting on the B and then moving up

to the B, an octave higher with C major seven arpeggio

but then played as a triplet, so.

(guitar music)

And then we get a small fragment from an Em pentatonic scale

which works really well to sort of encircle the third

of D seven, so f sharp here and then the melody

is here using an octave displacement, it could've been this.

(guitar music)

But instead, I move it up an octave and then we get.

(guitar music)

And from here, I continue with an augmented trial

on the D seven so. (guitar music)

And then I'm resolving the flat 13 to nine on the g major.

(guitar music)

You probably wanna play these exercises and explore

them in different positions and work on them

to get them into your fingers and get them into your ears

but probably the biggest part of the work is going to

be using them to generate some new material that

you can add to your vocabulary.

That's probably where you're gonna get the most out of it.

Apparently You Can Go To Jail For Laughing At Jeff Sessions - Duration: 5:15.

Desiree Fairooz, the woman who laughed during Senator Jeff Sessions' confirmation hearing

as Attorney General of the United States, has been found guilty of disorderly conduct

and disrupting a Senate confirmation hearing, and she now faces up to one year in prison.

Two other women, who are also a part of Fairooz's protest there, are also facing up to one year

in prison, so we may have three women in the United States going to prison because they

had the audacity to laugh during Jeff Sessions' confirmation hearing.

They laughed because the soon-to-be Attorney General made a statement talking about the

fact that the preservation of equality and equal rights in the United States was always

going to be one of his main focuses, something that everybody understands is not true, so

Desiree Fairooz laughed at that.

Now she might spend the next year of her life in a federal prison.

Admittedly, these three women did show up at this hearing wearing handmade KKK robes

to protest Jeff Sessions' leniency on the KKK and his pro-white people mentality, so

perhaps their tactic went a little too far, but that's not why she was on trial.

She was on trial for laughing.

That is how far we have come in the United States since January 20th.

We have already seen the Inauguration Day protestors locked up, over 600 of them, I

believe, facing criminal charges for protesting, not because they destroyed property, not because

there was a riot, but for protesting.

Journalists facing prison for covering these Inauguration Day protests, North Carolina

introducing legislation to make it perfectly legal for you to hit a protestor with your

car and keep on trucking.

If they're blocking the road, hell, just plow through them in North Carolina.

We don't care about dissent.

We don't care about people's First Amendment rights to assembly, to protest.

No, not in the United States in 2017, not in Donald Trump's 'Merica.

This is what's happening.

We are criminalizing dissent.

We are making it illegal to say anything bad about the Trump Administration or to protest

the Trump Administration.

This is the exact same thing that we see in brutal dictatorships all over the world, where

you're not allowed to say anything negative about Kim Jong Un.

You're not allowed to say anything negative about Duterte down in the Philippines and

now, in the United States, you're not allowed to say anything negative about Donald Trump.

He'll go after you on Twitter.

We'll arrest you.

If you dare chuckle, you're going to prison.

That is what is happening in the United States today.

You protest in the streets, we may hit you with our car and then you're probably going

to be responsible for any damage that happens to the car at that point.

We have devolved so much since January 20th as a country.

We are losing our rights daily.

Donald Trump wants to remake the rules of the Senate so that he can get his legislation

passed.

They've toyed around with completely doing away or rewriting the First Amendment.

They want to change libel laws so that if you say something negative about Donald Trump,

if you write something negative about Donald Trump, they can sue you.

That's America in 2017.

This is not an America that, honestly, I ever thought I would see.

We've seen things get bad.

We have.

We saw it in the Bush years.

We had these wars, we had thousands of American troops coming home in body bags, but those

people understood that they were representing America.

They were trying to fight for our freedom.

Remember that?

Remember those talking points?

Fight for our freedom, for our way of life, and now we're still losing it.

We're losing it because we elected - or the Electoral College elected, most people did

not vote for him - this idiotic autocrat who believes that he is above any kind of criticism

and that he can just change the laws in America on a whim when he feels like people aren't

being nice to him.

This court case with Desiree Fairooz going to prison for laughing at Jeff Sessions is

Exhibit A in why the United States is on a downward spiral that, at this point, I don't

know if we're going to be able to recover from it.

Chris Jericho Leaving WWE Details, WWE Star Returns From Injury! | WrestleTalk News May 2017 - Duration: 4:00.

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News!

I'm Oli Davis, and I'll be replying to as many comments on this video as I can.

Last night's episode of NXT continued the build to NXT TakeOver: Chicago, revealing

who would face Asuka for her Women's Championship.

Because Asuka decided to beat up the final three women in the No. 1 contenders Battle

Royal main event, William Regal announced that it'll be a Fatal 4 Way in Chicago,

with Asuka defending against Nikki Cross, Ruby Riot and Ember Moon.

As reported several weeks ago, however, this was the match where Moon appeared to legitimately

injure her shoulder, with fans in attendance saying she was escorted out in tears.

Squared Circle Sirens then reported this was just a storyline injury, but she has since

been spotted wearing a sling - suggesting she really is hurt.

But as WWE's cruel Injury God potentially taketh away, he also giveth, as last night's

episode saw Hideo Itami return to the ring for his first match since hurting his neck

last October.

Itami beat Kona Reeves with the GTS, presumably building him for an NXT Championship match

against Bobby Roode.

Summer Rae has been waiting just as long for a WWE return, not appearing on TV since last

July's draft because of injuries.

She was reportedly at the WWE Performance Center in the weeks before Wrestlemania 33

working to get medically cleared, but she's still yet to appear back on the main roster.

Summer's WWE return seems to be edging ever closer, though, where she tagged herself in

Sacramento, California on Instagram earlier this week with the caption 'Mondays',

where she was apparently backstage for this week's Raw.

After Raw got its lowest non-holiday, non-football season rating in 20 years this week, Smackdown

didn't fare much better, also drawing its lowest rating of 2017 so far with just 2.3

million viewers.

50% of you agreed with me that it was Smack Bang in the Middle, while 40% thought it slightly

better at SmackTastic.

But it's ok.

I'm sure Smackdown's newest star Chris Jericho can help turn those ratings around!

Oh yeah, that's right, he left.

Jericho was seemingly written off WWE TV this week with a brutal post-match attack from

Kevin Owens after The Face of America regained the United States Championship.

It's been known for months that Y2J would be taking a hiatus from WWE around this time,

because he's on tour with his band Fozzy throughout May and June to promote their new

single Judas.

Jericho himself now appears to have confirmed his latest WWE run has indeed come to an end,

posting on Facebook: I'll see you all again soon, but in honor

of the amazing run I had over the past 16 months in WWE, I've designed this official

#GOAT shirt as a thanks to you, the Friends Of Jericho!

With a picture of the t-shirt of Jericho - put it on, maaaaaaan.

Usually when Kevin Owens really tries to injure someone, though, it's with a powerbomb on

the ring apron outside.

But on Tuesday night, KO wrote Jericho off TV with a DDT on the floor.

SEScoops point out that Jericho often pays homage to his favourite wrestling moments

in his own matches, and Tuesday night just happened to be the 30th anniversary of when

Jake 'The Snake' Roberts wrote Ricky Steamboat off TV for a while with the exact same move.

Y2J is expected to return to the Smackdown brand - not Raw - sometime this year.

Is there backstage heat on a WWE star already for the company's European tour?

And the brand new episode of WrestleRamble is live, where Luke Owen and I decide which

show was better - Raw or Smackdown?

Click the videos to the left to watch those, and press subscribe.

I've been Oli Davis, and that was wrestling.

Donald Trump's historical ignorance reveals a great truth The party of Lincoln has become the party - Duration: 9:22.

Donald Trumps historical ignorance reveals a great truth The party of Lincoln has become

the party of Jefferson Davis

Donald Trump is proudly ignorant.

He does not read.

Trump reminds the world of this almost every day.

During an interview with the Washington Examiners Salena Zito on Sunday, Trump made a now-infamous

observation:

I mean, had Andrew Jackson been a little later, you wouldnt have had the Civil War.

He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart.

And he was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War.

He said, Theres no reason for this. People dont realize, you know, the Civil

War if you think about it, why?

People dont ask that question, but why was there the Civil War?

Why could that one not have been worked out?

As leading historians have pointed out, Donald Trumps understanding of the causes of the

American Civil War is pathetic.

To wit, Trumps errors are many.

Andrew Jackson died in 1845, 16 years before that national conflagration.

He would not have been able to stop it.

As Abraham Lincoln pointed out in 1858, slavery represented an existential crisis for American

society and would demand a type of second founding to correct it.

Andrew Jackson owned at least 150 black people as human property.

He was quite literally the last American president to be a slave driver. Historians Ned

and Constance Sublette detail this in their magisterial book The American Slave Coast:

Failing to sell the slaves himself, Jackson drove the unsold slaves back to Nashville,

taking the unheard-of step of driving a coffle [or a chained train] of slaves from the destination

back to the point of origin, through Choctaw and Chickasaw territory.

. . . Given the documentation of this episode that exists, it appears safe to say that Andrew

Jackson is the only U.S. president that we know of who personally drove a slave coffle.

But then, Jackson was also the first president to have been a merchant.

Given that slaves were the No. 1 capital good in the United States collectively worth

more than all the banks, factories and railroads combined Jackson would likely have done

everything he could to protect his wealth.

If Jackson had magically been able to prevent the outbreak of civil war, it likely would

have meant black people remaining in Americas slave labor camps where they were worked to

death, raped, tortured and murdered by the white people who owned their flesh.

Jackson was also not a swashbuckler, as Trump described him.

Jackson ordered horrific violence against black and First Nations people in Florida

and also conducted a campaign of mass murder and ethnic cleansing in the American

West against people of color in order to free up land for slavery.

Ultimately, Donald Trump is a reality-TV show character and con artist turned president

of the United States.

He is neither smart enough nor possessed of the intellectual curiosity necessary to seriously

evaluate counterfactuals in American history.

It is extremely unlikely, bordering on the impossible, that there are copies of books

by Eric Foner, David Blight, David McCullough, Steven Hahn, Edmund Morgan, Daniel Howe, John

Hope Franklin, David Williams, Thomas Holt or even the speculative historical fiction

writer Harry Turtledove on Trumps bookshelf or near his bedside.

The more important concern is what do Trumps statements about Andrew Jackson, the Civil

War and American history more generally signal about his political worldview?

Where do these beliefs come from?

Who is influencing Donald Trump?

Donald Trumps inner circle consists of white supremacists, neo-Nazi sympathizers,

and white ethno-nationalists such as Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, Stephen Miller,

Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Michael Anton.

Collectively they embrace a racist ideology that considers white civilization to

be under siege by nonwhites and Muslims.

Trumps cadre believes that white people in America (and Europe) are oppressed

and threatened. To free white people means that they especially white

Christian heterosexual men must be elevated above all others.

Andrew Jackson, who expanded voting to all white men in order to expand the ties of whiteness

and reinforce the white Herrenvolk republic, is a perfect symbol for todays right-wing

white-identity politics.

Consequently, it is no coincidence that the conservative media (and unfortunately too

many voices among the so-called liberal media as well) consistently refers to Trump as a

populist Andrew Jackson-like figure.

Trumps belief that the Civil War could have been worked out reflects the influence

of the white supremacist neo-Confederate movement on the Republican Party.

Neo-Confederates believe the Civil War was forced on the South and that states

rights deemed that whites could and should own black people as slaves.

Despite overwhelming evidence that the Confederacy seceded precisely to protect slavery as a

social, economic and political institution, neo-Confederates circulate the lie that slavery

was not central to the War Between the States.

Unfortunately, through extremist groups such as the Tea Party as well as educational initiatives

funded by the Koch brothers, such historical fictions are being written into the textbooks

used by Americas public and private schools.

There is also a high degree of overlap between neo-Confederates, neo-Nazis and other white

hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan.

Thus, it is no coincidence that President Trump and his administration have engaged

in Holocaust denialism, whereby they have attempted to minimize the evils of Hitler

and the violence suffered by the Jewish people.

Moreover, as a function of the explicit racism and nativism that Trump used to win Republican

voters, and subsequently the White House, it is no surprise that he has been endorsed

by white terrorist organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan.

In sum, Trumps embrace of Andrew Jackson is indicative of the way the ignominious cause

of the Confederacy shambles on in the form of the modern Republican Party.

In response to the victories of the decades-long black freedom struggle, during the 1960s the

Republicans fully embraced white racism in the form of Pat Buchanans Southern strategy.

The Republican Party then absorbed the racist faction of Southern Democrats or Dixiecrats,

and reinvented itself as a political organization whose power base was in the South, Southwest

and white suburbs and exurbs in other parts of the country.

President Lyndon B. Johnson observed, after his signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act,

that the Democrats had lost the South for a generation. That moment birthed a post-1960s

Republican Party that defends the Confederate battle flag, hopes to return to Jim Crow-like

voter suppression laws, and that elected a racist reactionary authoritarian as president

of the United States.

The neo-Confederate character of American politics under the Republican Party is also

reflected in how many of the most damaging and destructive economic policies that have

gutted the social safety net and devastated the poor, working and middle classes (to the

advantage of the rich) were first applied in the South before being afflicted on the

rest of the United States.

Moreover, the Republican Partys efforts to control womens bodies and its embrace

as a defining policy theme a toxic white masculinity obsessed with guns as key to manhood,

welcoming misogyny and reluctant or refusing to protect women from domestic and sexual

violence also echo the old Confederacy in the present.

Trump has helped to transform the party of Abraham Lincoln into the party of Jefferson

Davis.

His administration treats Latino undocumented immigrants as if they were black folks being

hunted down under the Fugitive Slave Law.

Americas police can trace their origins directly to the slave patrollers of the Southern

slaveocracy.

Trumps enforcer Jeff Sessions has promised to further unleash the police against black

and brown Americans in the name of law and order. The slave labor camp often used

a black person known as a driver to maintain order and control over his

fellow enslaved people.

Trump does this, as have previous Republican presidents, by enlisting black conservatives

to demean the African-American community and make excuses for racism.

It would seem that the more things change, in many ways, they stay the same.

The Republican Party has gone back to the future.

To make America great again, Donald Trump and the Republican Party have found
