10 reasons, Why do People Lie in Relationships? in this video, i'll show you also,7 Ways to

stop lying.

welcome to lifestyle therapy channel, stay tuned.

No.1, they lies because they wants to impress you.

Lying to make oneself look more impressive, is the most pervasive motivation for lying

in dating and romantic relationships.

The root of the problem, is that most men and women don't have great self-esteem.

They often feel that they aren't very desirable or appealing physically, or they don't see

themselves as particularly charming, intelligent or interesting.

To make up for their self-perceived inadequacies, Some people thrive on drama, making an exaggerated

lie seem more than just a little alluring.

People lie about where they've traveled, who they've slept with, and what celebrity

sightings they've had all to make themselves seem more interesting.

No.2, Telling the truth feels like giving up control.

Often, people tell lies because they are trying to control a situation, and exert influence

toward getting the decisions, or reactions they want.

The truth can be "inconvenient", because it might not conform to their narrative.

No.3, The Compassionate lie.

Sometimes the motivation to lie, is altruistic you don't want your partner to get hurt.

In this instance, you're not protecting your partner from something that you've done, that

might be hurtful to him or her.

Rather, you're trying to shield your partner from something you discovered, e.g., you overheard

a neighbor say, he doesn't like your wife, or an opinion that you believe would be upsetting.

your wife asks if you like her new haircut, and despite her uncanny resemblance to one

of the Three Stooges, you respond with a definitive, "I love it!".

No.4, Insecurities.

One study done by Scientific American shows, that 90% of people lie on their online dating

profile.

People often lie to cover up insecurities they have.

For example, most women lie about their weight on dating profiles.

The men lie about their height, and how much money they make.

You may lie about your job, your education, or your relationship with your family members,

all because of some insecurity you hold.

No.5, Manipulation lies. can be lies that omit important information,

or create a false impression, for the purpose of letting the liar achieve a goal, that would

be prevented if the truth were revealed.

Manipulative lies strip others' abilities to have influence on a situation.

"I'm going to stop at Jane's after work", when the truth is that, I plan to spend time

with an ex-lover, is an example of a manipulation.

No.6, They don't want to disappoint you.

It may not feel like it to you, but people who tell lie after lie, are often worried

about losing the respect of those around them.

They want you to like them, be impressed, and value them.

And they're worried that the truth might lead you to reject or shame them.

No.7, They lies to avoid something.

Your date may lie because he or she is trying avoid any number of things, a kiss or sexual

activity, a date or spending more time together, or meeting your friends or family, among other

possibilities.

Most people, in general, don't love confrontations, so lying as a form of avoidance makes intuitive

sense, even though it is a problem that hurts many relationships.

No.8, Lying about family.

Why do people lie?

Obviously, you haven't met their families yet!

Many people lie about family members, to avoid embarrassment or out of protection.

Often people lie about parents who have abandoned them, addicts in the family, or they lie about

sickness or mental challenges a family member might have.

They even lie about the reason why they don't communicate with family.

No.9, The Spiteful lie.

In this case, lies are used as weapons to hurt someone.

Schoolchildren often do this, fabricating rumors that are designed to put down others.

In social settings such as school, this is sometimes done to ostracize someone from a

peer group, while solidifying the liar's position in the group.

When this occurs in a marriage or relationship, it's usually when anger is at an all-time

high, or the relationship is being dissolved.

It's less common for this type of lie, to occur while the couple is committed to a future

together, although some couples do report "fighting dirty", and saying hurtful, untrue

things while they argue.

If you've lied to your partner recently, feel the urge to lie, or if lying has been a problem

for you in general, begin to question your motivation for spinning these tales.

No.10, Because they're cheating.

Academic survey researcher Tom Smith reports, 15%-18% of married couples have affairs during

their marriage.

With the digital footprints we all leave behind us, in the digital snow it's pretty hard

to get away with cheating these days.

Even if your partner finds out months after you start, they're going to find out eventually.

Still, cheating is one of the biggest and most devastating secrets in a relationship.

Being betrayed by someone you love, is one of the biggest hurdles anyone ever faces in

life.

Lies lead to broken families, loss of income, and loss of trust.

And the thing about trust, is that it's easy to give to someone you love, but as soon

as you lose it, it's nearly impossible to repair.

Even if you really want to.

7 Ways to stop lying.

The benefits of lying may be several, but it all comes down to this.

Do you like the person you've become?

Do you like lying to the ones who love you, and trust you with all their heart?

If you genuinely want to stop lying, and transform your life into a happy, guilt free and less

panicky existence, here's what you need to do.

No.1, Understand the fact.

Realize that the lying is getting out of control.

You don't like the fact that you lie so much to everyone, so why lie?

No.2, Have self respect.

Most liars don't have self respect.

They believe that the truth would make them appear bad.

Believe in yourself and respect yourself.

You'll become a better person, and refrain from doing anything that may force you to

lie.

No.3, Have moral principles.

If you have strong principles and follow them, you won't have to lie to anyone.

Be your own judge, and avoid indulging in something that you have to lie about.

If you have to lie about it, you do know that whatever you're doing is wrong, so why do

it in the first place?

No.4, If you're wrong, you're wrong.

Learn to accept your fault, instead of letting someone else take the blame.

Sometimes, the consequences can feel better than the guilt.

No.5, Don't answer too fast.

It's alright to take time to think.

Compulsive liars don't think before they talk.

Lies just flow out, even before they make up their mind about whether they want to lie,

or tell the truth.

No.6, Put yourself in the other person's shoes.

Would you like to be lied to all the time?

Wouldn't you feel hurt, if you knew that your partner is constantly lying through their

teeth, for no reason at all?

No.7, Talk to someone you trust.

Tell a trustworthy person to avoid judging you, and tell them your deepest secrets.

If you can't brave up to it, do it on paper, with an anonymous friend, or share it in the

comments below.

You'll feel better about yourself.

Understanding why we lie in our relationships, and developing the necessary self-esteem,

or communications skills to be truthful, are key to stopping the behavior.

If you or your partner need help to Rebuilding Trust in your

Relationship

Most people say they lie, to avoid causing negative feelings, sidestep conflict, and

to escape hurting or insulting a partner.

But are these reasons altruistic, or are they just the result of a person, not being able

to handle conflict or unpleasantness?

Or is it because they do not have the skills, to communicate about a touchy subject?

Or do they feel excited by deceiving someone?

Do they want to hang onto a less than satisfying relationship, but don't want to put in the

effort to make it better?

Some people lie because they believe, that no one can like or love them the way they

are.

Deception can trick couples into thinking they are keeping a relationship going, or

in some sense lubricating it, but this often means they are neglecting to develop much-needed

communication skills, good intimacy, and solid trust.

The Simple Smartphone Video Setup - Duration: 8:58.

Hey guys, I'm back here again. I just did a live video earlier, I wasn't

really happy with the lighting and lighting's a very important thing, guys.

So I'm just gonna do it again especially for those of you who missed out on that one.

Basically what I was doing, I was showing people my mobile phone setup

because someone asked me last week about recommending a mobile video system and

what I assumed he meant is - a really simple smartphone setup that you

can you use just to add a little bit more production quality, production value

to your videos as opposed to just holding it up using your hand.

So this is really for people who want to learn more about adding more production

value to their smart phone videos and for those who just want a simple setup.

This is something that you want to do if you just happen to be

walking on the beach or you go outdoors somewhere. So it's not really the

high level set up that you can purchase but personally for me, I'm not really

worried, concerned much into... because one of the things that you can do,

you can buy these cages for your phone, you can mount

equipment on there like lights, that sort of thing but this is

really for those who just want a simple setup they can

just set it up in a matter of seconds so I'm going to show that

to you now, what I use anyway.

So when it comes to stabilisation, I feel that will really help you stand out with

your videos is making sure your shots are quite stabilised

especially when you're walking around and even if you're just

plain standing there. Even when you're just standing there, you're holding

your phone with your hand, it can still can become quite shaky so I use

this thing called DJI Osmo which I bought in Bing-Lee and

I believe they had a massive price drop to these things so check them out,

I highly recommend it. So what happens is you mount your phone in there, you lock it in

and it'll detect the weight of your phone.

And another cool thing is it's got little parts here where you can attach

other things so for this example, I can put an adaptor where I can attach

like a tripod as well and even if you want to...I've seen people use like a

wireless lapel system where you can attach it to there so instead of using

what I'm doing now, instead of having like a lapel that's coming through like a wire,

I'm not sure if you can see this but there's a wire that goes all the way

back to my phone. You can actually buy a lapel system or a

wireless one which will cost you a few hundred bucks but that's another option

and I've got one of those I just didn't bring it with me today.

So check out this, this is DJI Osmo, awesome stuff to add stabilisation to your shots

and what's great about it is when you hold it, your hand

just doesn't get tired as much as when you're just holding it like that. I know

in my experience, when I was holding my phone with my hand,

after 2 minutes, my hand would just be too tired and I can just keep holding

this quite easily. So that's the DJI Osmo. Another important thing of course is your audio

and for a lot of people, this is a part where a lot of people neglect

and even today I saw someone doing a video in this massive crowd

around him full of noise and there's no way his voice is gonna cut through so

it's just as a matter of just getting like a lapel where you can

purchase from JB Hi-Fi or at an electronic store somewhere. This one that

I have is a Rode one which I bought in JB Hi-Fi. I believe it's only for iOS devices

like iPhones but I'm sure you can get equivalent versions for

your Android as well. Now for the lapel, wired lapel that I bought, it is only

about 2 meters long so it's not very long but you can order like an

extension cable, if you can see there, sorry it's mirrored

but anyway, this is a Rode SC1 TRS extension cable and that's about

6 meters long and I'm using that right now so I could move around here and the audio

stays consistent because that's really important. People don't realise how

important your audio is in your video to get your message across. Studies show that if your...

if the quality of your video is very good...Hi, Divine.

Studies show that if the quality of your video is quite good but the

quality of your audio is very poor, people tend to be turned off a lot more

compared to say if the quality of your video is average but the quality of

your audio is very good, people will watch your video more so I place

a lot of emphasis in getting your audio quality up there and it's so simple, just

attaching like a wired lapel and your voice will cut through, your message will

connect with the viewer a lot more effectively. Hey Kim, hey Lee

how are you, mate? So that covers audio. Another thing that you can do besides a lapel,

you can get like a little boom directional mic that you

can attach to your phone and that captures the audio that's directly in

front of it over a number of meters.

I've had people use that but for some reason, technical issues, something like,

it didn't really work well with their phone. I guess the advantage of that is you

don't have to have a wired lapel mic going back to your phone.

That's really the advantage of having that directional boom mic. But yeah,

check it out, once again you can purchase something like that in

JB Hi-Fi or if you want to go more high level as I mentioned before, you can get

like a wireless system if you spend a few hundred bucks on a wireless lapel system

but the thing is you have to think about where you're gonna attach

the receiver and the transmitter. So usually when I have this DJI Osmo,

if I had to put my wireless lapel system on it,

there's an adaptor here where I can actually attach my transmitter and then

the receiver would just be connected to my belt or something like that.

So that covers stabilisation, that covers audio. Another thing is just getting

yourself a tripod. (I've got five minutes left) Getting yourself a tripod.

In this case I've got a GorillaPod which is really cool, really convenient

that you can take around with you as opposed to having a heavy tripod.

So let me show you that now...

So that's what I have...

Joby GorillaPod and that's cool because you can twist the legs around,

they're quite strong, you can wrap it around trees and poles,

get some cool angles and then also you might have to buy this adaptor

for your phone. This one's a Manfrotto brand which is cool that

it extends like that so you can squeeze your phone in there. So yeah!

Getting yourself a tripod or GorillaPod will help a lot. And that's pretty much it!

And the only thing when it comes to the quality of your video

you just got to think about your lighting. Lighting is very crucial

in determining the quality of your video. So before I did this live video my

lighting wasn't so great so I decided to to do another one for you where you can

actually see me. So that's pretty much it, I hope that's added value to you

for those of you who are wondering "what's a really basic

mobile phone/smart phones setup that you can use if you're

doing Facebook Live or you're vlogging using your smart phone and you don't

want to carry too much stuff around?" Something like this

that I just showed you took me just a few seconds to set up and yeah, too easy.

If you've got any questions around that, comment, give me a shout out, give me a Like

and I will talk to you guys soon.

Have a great day. See ya!

Camera Lenses for Video – Understanding Lenses for Beginners (Focal Length, Aperture, Focusing) - Duration: 6:54.

So you got your camera. Now you need a lens, but there are so many to choose from.

And what do all those millimeters and "f" numbers mean?

You'll understand it all very soon.

Hey guys, Camber back with you today from Maryland, and we are

talking about lenses and which one is right for you for starting out in video.

Now just because a lens can zoom in really far doesn't make it a good lens.

I've heard this way too many times:

"Hey man, I just got this new lens for my camera.

It goes 55 to 250. I can get anything with this lens."

And I'm like:

Huh, that's cool.

When I'm really thinking:

Oh, I wish you would have asked

me sooner I know a lens that's better and cheaper than that.

The reason I bring this up is because that's where this thing came from. I thought, oh I can do

anything with this lens I don't have to buy all kinds of lenses, and I think that

I've never even used this.

So if you look at any lens you're gonna see a bunch of

numbers written on the side or on the front of it and those numbers are your

focal length, your maximum aperture, and your lens diameter. So the first number

on any lens is going to be the focal length and that's measured in

millimeters. As you can see here this lens is 50 millimeters. It's an actual

measurement in millimeters inside your lens but all you really need to know is

that the smaller the number the wider your angle of view and the higher the

number the more narrow your angle of view. So the next number after the focal

length that you'll find on your lens is the aperture. It's a ratio of the focal

length to the maximum aperture of the lens and this one is 1 over 1.4.

So your aperture controls how wide your lens can open to let in more light.

So the higher the f-number the smaller the opening of your camera letting in less

light and the lower the f-number gets the more open your camera lens becomes

letting in more light. Now with these lower maximum "F" numbers your lens is

typically going to be bigger and also more expensive. So that lower maximum F

number meaning the wider open your lens can get will let in more light but also

create that blurry background look and can make your footage look really nice.

So the last number you're gonna see on the lens is your lens diameter and this

one is 82 millimeters. So that last number gives you

the diameter of the front of your lens so that when you start buying different

kinds of filters you'll know its size to get to fit your camera lens. Now another

thing to consider when it comes to choosing a lenses image stabilisation.

Image stabilization is nice because if you're hand-holding your shots it's not

gonna fix it completely but if you're being pretty smooth already and it's

gonna help smoothen that out even more. So now that we know all those different

numbers are there's also two main types of lenses we want to look at and that's

your prime lens and your zoom lens. So the difference with these is your prime

lens is going to give you one focal length for instance this one is 50

millimeters whereas this one has a range of 24 to 70 millimeters. So you might be

thinking why would I get the prime lens of 50 millimeters when I could get the

zoom lens it's 24 to 70 it has 50 in it and I have all those other focal links

to use too. One of the first advantages to getting a prime lens versus a zoom lens

is that your prime lenses are going to be a lot cheaper because they have fewer

moving parts. Also in your prime lenses since there's fewer moving parts, fewer

pieces of glass in between for all the different focal links, your prime lens is

going to be sharper at 50 millimeters then your zoom lens is going to be at 50 millimeters.

Most prime lenses are going to be made so they can open up to a

lower F number or a wider aperture giving that more blurry background than

your zoom lenses will be able to give you. And your maximum aperture of your

lens is another reason why getting one of these lenses that can go really far

isn't necessarily that good. Because as you can see on this lens, it goes from f4 to f/5.6.

And what that means, at the shortest focal length 55 it's going to

be at f/4 and as you zoom in to 250 that maximum aperture is going to go up to 5.6.

Whereas this lens has a maximum aperture of 2.8 and it stays at that 2.8

throughout the entire range of 24 to 70. Another thing with lenses are

manufacturers make certain types that are only for crop sensor cameras. These

lenses are typically going to have that variable range in aperture which

makes them less expensive. So if you put a crop sensor lens on a full-frame

camera you're going to get this vignetting around the corners because this lens is

designed for the camera with the smaller sensor. Whereas when we switch back,

now that vignette around the edges is gone because this lens is designed

for a full-frame camera. So you can use a lens designed for a full-frame camera on

any camera, however, if you use the crop sensor lens on a full-frame camera it's

going to give you that vignette around the edges of your picture. If you don't

understand what I mean by crop factor, check out this video I made here talking

about how your sensor size of your camera it's gonna affect what the focal

length of your lens looks like. So one last thing to consider when you're

choosing a lens is the focus and what I mean by that is whether it's mechanical

or electronic focus. As you can see on here, as I turn the focus ring you can

see different numbers for measurements on where the camera is focusing. So when

you're setting up focus pulls on these kind of lenses and you know where

exactly your different focus elements are gonna be you can set where you're

gonna hit those focus points. Whereas you look at this lens, there's no distance

markers. All you have is a spinning focus ring that never stops because this lens

has an electronic motor. So as you turn this it sends a signal to that motor and

changes the focus in your camera, but if you're trying to pull focus with one of

these it's really hard to do because the speed at which it focuses is inconsistent.

The faster you turn it the quicker it's gonna get to your focus

point; so you can't just set one place and go there every time because if you

go faster or slower than before then it's not going to get that same focus at

the same point. But if you have a nice autofocus system they work really great.

Especially if you have a good touch screen where you can pick your points

and it'll pull focus consistently and perfectly on the points that you want.

So starting out, I would definitely suggest getting a nice zoom lens because then

you do have that wide range of shots. And zoom lenses can be quite pricey so if

you were gonna start with something else, I would definitely say pick up one of

these 50 millimeters. This is Canon's version. It will run you $125, it

can open up to f/1.8 giving you a really blurry background. Remember that

investing in good lenses now is going to pay off now and in the future because

it's going to improve the quality of your shots now and also as you improve

your cameras in the future you'll be able to use those same good lenses on

those new cameras. So that was a lot of stuff to cover but if you made it this

far go ahead hit that thumbs up. Leave a comment down below about what your

favorite lens is or which one you want to get and why. I got links in the

description for a lot of great lenses whether you're rocking Canon or Sony so

check those out. Subscribe if you haven't and remember that the only way to get better at

something is to practice. So get that lens, get out there, and film something.

See you soon!
