Our First Speeding Tickets ┃ ASL Stew - Duration: 9:12.
- Hello, I'm Jenna... - ... and I'm Jill.
- This is ASL Stew Life. (cat meows... ♪♪♪)
- So, today is storytime...
... and double the story for the price of one!
So, today we are going to confess our first speeding ticket.
Now, our stories are a little bit different obviously.
Mine was much later than yours.... by a lot!
But we're gonna give you both stories. So start with the younger.
- So I was in highschool. I was really young and I had finally gotten my license.
Yes! I had gotten my car. Alright! I was really excited.
So, my firends and I thought well we have some older friends
who had just recently gotten into college in New York.
So, we thought why not take a road trip. Go ahead visit the campus,
visit our friends and they had an open house at that time.
So we thought we'd do that. So we begged our parents
and everything was approved so yes we were really excited.
So my friend and I got in the car. We drove there, no problems.
Had a lot of fun, did some learning. We visited people.
Then were were done and unfortunately we had to come back home.
So we got in the car and were driving on the highway
and I noticed that some of the cars were going pretty fast.
So I thought well why don't we follow suit. You know I didn't think it was a big deal.
So we followed them and all of a sudden
out of nowhere... police sirens.
We both looked at each other and were like "ah crap!"
What are we gonna do? I just got my license.
So went ahead, pulled over, tried to say "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
He was just like, "nope", ticket.
I'm like seriously, no wave, no warning, nothing?
He's like "nope ticket".
So I had to take it. So I took the ticket and I'm like "what am I going to do"?
So, got home. - How old were you?
- Highschool, uh freshman, sophmore. I think a freshman. Something like that.
So I was pretty young. It wasn't long after I'd gotten my license. Not too long after.
So anyways, I got home and I knew I was gonna have to tell my mom.
So... and I just knew what was going to happen.
So my mom was sitting there watching TV. Having dinner,
you know like on a TV tray thing. She's eating and I walked over.
I mean she already knew, just by my face.
So she was just sitting there eating. I walk over and I'm like,
"Mom... umm... uhh... I just got a ticket."
My mom just keeps eating, looks down at the ticket,
hands it back and then just keeps eating.
I was like "umm... what should I do?"
She's like "well you have a part-time job right? So you have money.
Go take care of it."... and keeps eating.
Now understand, I did have a part-time job but only on the weekends as a pizza delivery driver.
So I didn't make much money. I think the ticket was $120, $130 or something.
That was like probably half a month to a full month of my wages spend on this ticket.
So I was like "ugh fine!" Of course I can't expect my family to pay for it.
They're like "no you need to learn your lesson. You're on your own."
So I was like alright. So I tried to figure out... I was like "what should I do?"
She's like "well take care of it. Learn your lesson. You got a ticket.
So you have to learn to take care of it yourself." So I said "okay thanks".
And I figured it out and I paid it. Ugh, scarred for life, but I learned my lesson for sure.
But yeah, that's my story, my first ticket.
- Okay, so she was pretty young and I wasn't.
So if you haven't saw the recent video where we talked about her car engine exploding
that is kind of the end of that story. So I'll leave it up here if you haven't seen it.
But the end of that story begins this story.
So anyways, like I said, the two of us needed to arrive to work in like a few hours
and if we drove the speed limit we wouldn't have enough time.
So we knew we'd kind of have to speed a little bit.
So anyways, went ahead got in the car, driving down the highway
speeding really bad... really, really bad. Just... it was bad.
Going along, going along... and we pass a police car.
And as we pass and I look over, I'm like "oh sh....".
So I slow down as I'm driving. I'm like please, please, please don't pull me over.
As we're driving, I keep looking back and I don't see them.
I was like yes, okay great. So at this point we were not speeding
but I went ahead and I upped my speed a little bit again.
I'm driving and all of a sudden I look back and sirens.
I was like arghhhhh. - Busted
- Ugh, I was petrified. I had never been pulled over in my life.
I think by that time I was... how old were you?
- I think I was 21. - 21, yeah 21.
I had my license since I was 16. So anways, I was petrified.
So we pull over and my heart's racing. - I told her she was fine. Don't worry about it.
- She was like "it's fine, it's fine, it's fine." I'm like "shut up!"
So my hearts pounding and like I said, we pull over and he's like
"Do you know why I pulled you over?" I'm like yes, I know why you pulled us over.
I was speeding. He said.... uhhhh... I don't like to admit this.
He said "well actuallly I clocked you the first time at about 100 mph."
Yeah 100! So that was the first time I had passed him.
The second time he pulled me over he said it was about 75, and that's in a 55.
So he said "I'm gonna be nice and I'm gonna give you a ticket for the 75 in the 55, not the 100."
So I was like thank God. Thank God! I mean that was really nice but I was like ughhh.
So I was like sure, fine I'll take the ticket.
He was being really nice to give me that. So he went ahead, gave me the ticket.
He walks back to his car, gets in his car and I just kind of stayed there.
Stay parked. So the police drives off and then I just start sobbing!
I was just like... I was so upset. I was so mad at her!
Because typically if I'm speeding I'm watching, but because I was chatting with you....
la la la la la la la... - You didn't have to talk to me.
- Nope, nope.... because I was chatting with her, I wasn't looking... so...
and I wouldn't have been there in the first place if it hadn't been for you, picking you up!
So.. anyways... - You didn't have to come.
- anyways... - I could have asked somebody else.
- anyways.... the point is I got the ticket
and I wasn't young so I didn't need to inform my parents,
I don't know... it was actually weird because me and my parents and my brother
all had the same insurance company.
So somehow my ticket got put to my brother's insurance.
Which he was really confused. So he called my mom. So then my mom called me.
She was like "did you get a ticket?" I was like "yeah".
She wasn't mad at me or anything... but... yeah so
that was my first speeding ticket.
- Yeah I got 5 before I was 20.
- I've had one, I think... speeding. Yeah, I've had one other speeding ticket.
So, that was our speeding ticket story! - Yeah, we have a lot of car experience together.
- So, that's our speeding ticket story.
I'm curious, have you guys gotten a speeding ticket?
- Don't lie, don't lie. - Yeah let us know. Tell the truth!
We admitted ours. We admitted, admitted. You admit yours too!
And if you did, how many have you had? - Again don't lie.
- Yeah, she told the truth and I told the truth.
So go ahead and leave a comment down below.
You don't have to explain speed. Just say yes - how many. That's it.

Thunderpaw, and how sadness drives creativity - Duration: 2:48.
As I'm writing this I don't feel well.
I've struggled with depression for some time.
The feeling of something I can't describe in words, a feeling of mourning something
I haven't lost yet, a sadness I shouldn't be able to feel considering how good my life
is.
Earlier I wanted to stop.
Just stop, because the consequences aren't as bad as what I'm feeling now.
As I was sitting here, going through...
Twitter, actually, in a hope to see something that would distract me, I came across a beautiful,
fantastic webcomic by Jen Lee, called Thunderpaw, which I quickly started to read, and you should
too.
It's a story about Bruno and Ollie, who are trying to find their way back home-- thanks
to Jen by the way for giving me permission to show pieces of the comic here-- But, I
can't help but thinking that the feelings Bruno and Ollie, or more specifically Ollie,
are feeling in this first chapter or so are sorta what I'm feeling now, although in
their case…
It's certainly more called for.
On Jen's Twitter bio, she describes this story as "a truly sad comic," which made
me think about how important sadness, and negative emotions like it, are to storytelling,
which might be a little obvious when you think about it, but I found it really interesting
that emotions like sadness and horror, things that most wouldn't want to subject themselves
to, have such a big part in entertainment.
Horror specifically even has it's own movie genre.
It's at times like this where I think it would better to live without being able to
feel…
More specifically, feel sadness-- and of course, that's a statement that is yet to be proven--
but the ability to tell a story would be drastically changed if your audience couldn't feel sad
for any given character.
But, it makes me ask, when someone feels like stopping and giving up, when they have a lot
against them, much like Bruno, who is in a situation where I would probably just go and
die somewhere, why don't they stop?
How and why does anyone continue on?
What made me, instead of going somewhere to cry, pick up my laptop and start writing this?
I think sadness is a motivator in some way…
But, at least for me, it's a motivator in that it makes you want to not feel sad anymore.
By keeping me down, it keeps me going.
And, I feel a lot better now, writing this.
Maybe it's better to feel, after all.

Top 6 Best Songs on Endless - Frank Ocean - Duration: 2:10.
Hey everyone it's Su from TooSix and here's the Top 6 best songs from Endless.
Number 6.
U-N-I-T-Y.
Frank raps and his flow is on point.
At the start of the third verse, the beat switches up and he sings briefly which stands
as one of the album's best moments.
Number 5.
Rushes.
The beat change and the last minute and a half are dope.
Number 4.
Alabama.
It features a marching piano beat and brilliantly mixed vocals from Frankie that'll make you
feel tense and claustrophobic, however, all of that melts away once the outro hits.
Sampha and Jazmine Sullivan's voices sound so damn good together that they elevate this
song from good to great.
Number 3.
Hublots.
It's an emotional performance with a great build and pay off.
If you listen closely, you can hear Jazmine Sullivan on the backing vocals.
Number 2 - At Your Best (You Are Love).
This song is a cover of Aaliyah's cover from 1994 which was actually a cover of The
Isley Brothers original from 1976.
Frank released this song in January 2015 through Tumblr on what would've been Aaliyah's
36th birthday and at that time, it featured a crisp vocals over a minimal piano beat.
The version on Endless is that same song, but with two major changes.
His vocals now are echoey and an orchestra plays over that minimal piano beat which give
the song a dreamy, fairytale aesthetic.
Number 1 - Wither.
It's a play on the words With Her and, man, the vibe of this one is so cool.
There's no flashy production here.
It's just a stripped down sombre love ballad that has Frank singing his ass off against
an acoustic guitar, awesome baseline and beautiful background harmonies from Jazmine Sullivan.
She was such a fantastic addition to this album, seriously.
The MVP of Endless.
Unfortunately, Endless is still exclusive to Apple Music.
In the description, you'll find a link to the visual album with timestamps for each
song mentioned here.
I want to see your Top 6 in the comments below.
Don't forget to like, share and subscribe for weekly tech, music and game videos.
You can follow @toosixpro on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
I'm Su from TooSix and I'll talk to you in the next one.

Isn't he so cute???

Ask the Vet - Fly sheets in humid weather - Duration: 2:35.
SARAH: Haley is considering getting a fly
sheet for her horse but she lives in Alabama
and it stays pretty hot and humid all year around
with the exception of three or four months.
And she's wondering if there's any point where
it may be too hot or humid for a fly sheet
while out in the pasture?
Would she be better off without one and kind
of letting her horse, you know, cope with the flies
rather than get too hot?
DR LYDIA GRAY: So, clearly, already spring in Alabama.
SARAH: Yeah, really.
DR LYDIA GRAY: I'm not one that puts a fly sheet on my horse
because he really doesn't care about flies.
But for those that do, to me this is a very individual horse
thing.
Interestingly, some horses are going
to be cooler with a fly sheet on.
I know.
So some fly sheets are made with the complete top as solid
and then the sides are mesh.
And, of course, they have the neck parts
and you can buy leggings-- fly leggings.
SARAH: Fly boots.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Fly boots, yes.
SARAH: Leggings.
[LAUGHS]
DR LYDIA GRAY: Leggings.
SARAH: It's the '80s all over again.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.
So you have to know your horse.
I do know people that if you don't
buy the right size in a fly sheet
that the insects can get up in there.
SARAH: Oh!
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.
That's a problem.
SARAH: That is a worse situation.
DR LYDIA GRAY: But if you are concerned about your horse's
comfort, how hot he is, how he's able to cope
with the weather, the UV radiation and other things--
weights maybe, body condition score--
some do better with a fly sheet because they're just
more comfortable.
They're relaxed.
They're relieved.
They're not anxious.
They're not running around.
They're not stomping.
Life is good.
And they'll wait on you and say, mm, don't leave yet.
Didn't you forget something?
And so you're not going to get out of the barn in the morning
until you put that fly sheet on.
And some horses are not going to tolerate it.
Like mine won't go out with out its fly mask.
He's like, you know, and I'm like, oh, sorry.
So it's really an individual horse thing.
And a close observation, again, like a blanket,
you don't put a fly sheet on and leave it for the summer.
You put it on.
You take it off and you're like, how's it going under there.
Because you don't want to miss a skin thing.
SARAH: Similar with the winter blankets.
DR LYDIA GRAY: It's exactly the same as winter blankets.
You just don't put it and leave it.
You put it on and check it.

How Social Media Is Revolutionizing Communication | J.P. Morgan - Duration: 3:02.
How would you say social media has changed,
or affected, people's experience with the world?
Well, I think it's certainly bringing more people…
into connection with one another.
The social media we have today,
is actually enabling
You or me to communicate
anywhere in the world,
with no reference to government at all.
And now, social media has added another layer, which is…
the networking of individuals.
Virtually every human being will be connected to every other one.
At that moment, it may be that we enter a phase of globalization
For which there was not a real precedent.
So do you think future generations will communicate differently
Than how we communicate today?
I'm sure they will, I'm not smart enough to figure out how
If someone had asked me 15 years ago, you know, there was no Google,
There would be no way to have really anticipated
At least, for someone like me…
I think that if you wanted to predict the future,
The ingredients are already here.
The only issue is…
Which of these ingredients grows really fast?
Not all of them will.
We are today kind of mesmerized by the internet,
And by social media.
Whence the global telegraph was created,
News moved very, very fast.
It didn't mean that societies was connected as they are today.
So I think the real question is:
Is it changing globalization in such a way that it's discontinuous?
And I don't think so.
Today, in this sort of era of…
Email/internet/social media
That we're not actually as connected as we could be?
That there's actually this, like a higher level of connectiveness?
Oh, I think there'll be a much higher level of connectiveness,
Because more people will be involved.
It will be almost as if…
The entire world was like…
Once city.
Would you say that social media has impacted
The way that one person can make a difference?
I don't think it makes somebody a change agent,
But if someone is inclined, I think social media gives them
many more tools.
How would you say social media has impacted traditional media channels?
Anyone who is just, let's say,
Focusing on the traditional media,
Is really missing a lot of information.
And I think that the traditional media
Is actually going to incorporate…
Social media.
So I think there's going to be a merging of the two,
But we'll keep both.
Jeffrey, thank you very much for speaking with us,
And thank you to our viewers.

look cute that day i'll put some leave in conditioner and that's probably the only product
i put in i apply that all over my hair finger combing it through this shea moisture Jamaican
black castor oil leave in conditioner is actually very very moisturizing and leaves my hair
kind of refreshed and pretty curly actually take a little bit of gel and lay down my edges
for the day so that they are not all frizzy and flying everywhere i cant really leave
the house without putting on a pair of earrings or i'll look like a little boy so that's it

BT Daily: Near-Death Experiences - Follow-up Question - Duration: 4:24.
[Darris McNeely] I recently did a series of Beyond Today Dailys on near-death experiences
– always a popular topic for people to get into.
We even have a Beyond Today program on the topic.
One viewer commented and made this remark, and left it on our website.
They said, "I'm interested to hear an elaboration of this topic," – of course,
near-death experiences.
"When people do have these experiences," they write, "how can they best be explained
in light of biblical revelation?
Could they be dreams?
Could they be hallucinations?
God-given visions or maybe even the evidence of malevolent spirits?"
Or demon spirits.
Let me take this opportunity to offer an answer here.
First of all, spirits.
Evil spirits.
The answer to this would be no.
I don't think that we are seeing or having that happen at that point in a person's
life.
There's no Scriptural support for that, and I don't think that that is one thing
that God allows the demonic world to do, in terms of dabbling at that moment of a person's
illness and even perhaps their death.
So I don't think that's the case.
I would rule that out.
The viewer also asked about – is it like dreams or hallucination?
That's an interesting approach to it and to consider.
But again, looking at what the Bible tells us about life and about death, that at death,
the dead know nothing; that in that very day, his thoughts perish; that we go to the grave;
the Bible speaks of a resurrection; and that the spirit going back to God – so much taken
together helps us to understand what does happen at death that we don't need to interject
a lot of things that do happen to us.
Now, the idea that it's like a dream is very interesting.
All of us have dreams and all types of dreams.
A frequent dream that people have – they may dream about their passed loved ones – a
parent, a father, a mother – and see them in a dream and dream about them.
I've had dreams like that myself.
Is that proof that my father, my mother, is alive in another world, in heaven or whatever,
or trying to communicate with me?
No, not at all.
It's usually because perhaps that day or in recent times I've had thoughts about
them and dwelt upon their memory, and the way the brain works and our mind operates,
we have so much going on in there that back in one of the Dailys I did talk about the
fact that medical science knows a great deal about the brain, but not everything.
There's much yet about life that is yet to be discovered.
The Bible gives us a revelation about death.
So to look at a dream as some type of a likeness to a near-death experience is not something
that I think we need to look at and is a somehow proof of that.
But they are always interesting matters to study.
Again, looking at what is called, typically, a near-death experience, people coming back
from it, is not a proof of an afterlife or people going to heaven in that way, or even
to an ever-burning hellfire.
There is a great deal that we do not understand of what is happening at those moments when
the body may be dying or at a point of near-death, as we might talk about it, but there's still
life there.
And what may be firing and taking place in the electro-chemical impulses of the brain
are matters that are likely yet to be discovered, understood, by medical science that is just
something that we don't understand.
And so, fascinating topic.
Look at what God says in His word to help us understand what life is, what happens at
death, and make our determinations based on that, and then we have truth, truth that sets
