So, before it starts - here's a little disclamer

Your first step in becoming Alex Turner is outfit

grab your best The Beatles shirt and some kind of denim shirt

or whatever you think will make you look like Alex

Then I found a chain and used it as a necklace

and I also decided to wear my green wooden necklace as a bracelet

In addition, I took my dad's old watch

You know, just to look cooler

Wanna look even cooler? Take your mom's sunglasses from 80's ot 90's

And last but not least - tattoos

I accidentally deleted it

I used 'LN professional' black waterproof eyeliner

Now, finally, the most important part - make up!

OMG, I'm not wearing make up!

and no one cares

so, we are going transform this weirdo

to this weirdo

so,,,LET'S START

So, I'm starting with the primer....or not primer by Maybelline New York

So, what you gonna do - rub it all over your face

Next step - foundation

As a foundation I used Avon Colortrend BB cream all in one

and now the fun has begun!

yeah, I know it looks disgusting

I used light brown shadow

to create that kind of stubble around my face

Then I used dark-brown and I use it for countouring my cheek-bones

and nose

And actually I was lucky (lol, no) to have a pretty large nose

so it doesn't take me a lot of time to create kind of the same nose as Alex's

and now I'm countouring the tip of my nose

Now I'm using my little brown pencil and I don't remember what's its name

It's just a brown pencil

And I used brown pencil to create the new form of my eyes

to make them look a little bit bigger

I draw lines around my eyelids

and then I blend it to make it look more natural

more blending, yeah

Then I get coming back to forming my nose

and defining cheekbones

then I'm coming back to light-brown shadow

I create bags under my eyes

Then I make them look a little bit bigger and deeper by using dark-brown eyeshadow

Now I take Maybelline's BrowDrama brow gel

and I use it as mascara

Next - I'm defining my eyebrows

I'm trying to make them look a little bit bushier

and using the same old pencil I create the new form of my eyebrows

now I blend them for more natural look

and now the funniest part - the Widow's Peak

First - you make the form of it

then you fill it in

AND THEN YOU BLEND

yey, so much fun

blending is fun

now I'm trying to connect it with my natural hair

and I fail it

and again - blending

now i'm taking white eyeliner from LN Professional

I'm trying to make my upper-lip look smaller

and then I'm using my old foundation and brush from concealer to hide the 'whiteness'

now we take red essenence lip-liner

and...yeah, you see what I'm doing right?

And the same you do with your lower lip

Yeah, I dropped the brush

because I'm genius

MORE BLENDING!

and, well, basically - that's it

What can I recommend to you - use a reference photo of Alex

Blend more

and, yeah, practice more

but, I need this make up just for my videos

How It's Made ? / Hopi Kachina Dolls - Duration: 5:01.

the Hopi a Native American tribe living primarily in northeastern Arizona are

known for carving Kachinas wooden ritualistic dolls representing deities

elements in nature or the spirits of ancestors

they're traditionally presented in a dance ceremony to the girls of the

community

hopi kachina dolls are cherished family keepsakes designed to teach Hopi

children about the deities and spirits

central to their Aboriginal traditions besides ceremonial purposes

many Hopi Carver's produce Kachina dolls for sale to Native art enthusiasts the

Carver uses knives of different sizes

sharpening the steel blades after every 10 or 15 minutes to prevent darling

Kachina dolls are traditionally made of cotton would not from the trees branch

but from its route

the Carver begins by shaving off the thin outer bark with a straight cut from

one side to the other

he shapes a bit of the single feather which will adorn the top of this doll's

head

he makes a series of vertical cuts to form the face and hair line he continues

carving the head form then with a wood burning tool burns in the square outline

of the face he shaves the way would above and below to make the face

he decorates the body then moves on to the doll's hair and facial features

it's these details which bring the doll alive

carving sanding and burning to become an almost finished

Kachina doll he now coats the entire surface with clear varnish

this seals the wood to prevent it from absorbing the paint he applies next

about 40 minutes later the varnish is draw and the painting can begin

traditionally Hopi Carver's made paint from natural pigments such as sand

plants and berries

today's Carver's buy ready-made oils or acrylics this Carver dilutes acrylic

paint with water to make it transparent

this allows the natural beauty of the wood grain to show through the color

after painting he applies a coat of clear varnish to seal and protect the

surface some Carver's have moved in a new artistic direction

bronze they use their wooden Kachina doll to produce a latex mold then with

this mold cast a wax replica they did the replica in a substance that hardens

into a heat-resistant shell then they put the shell in a furnace to melt away

the wax

this leaves a cavity in the shape of the doll they pour molten bronze into the

cavity and when the bronze cools and solidifies they break the shell to

extract a bronze version of their Kachina doll instead of paints they

apply chemicals which color the metal a modern twist on an age-old Hopi art
