Millions Wrongly Treated for 'Cancer,' National Cancer Institute Panel Confirms - Duration: 8:35.
Millions Wrongly Treated for Cancer, National Cancer Institute Panel Confirms.
by Edward Morgan.
A devastating new report commissioned by the National Cancer Institute reveals that our
40-year long War on Cancer has been waged against a vastly misunderstood enemy,
that in many cases represented no threat to human health whatsoever.
If you have been following our advocacy work on cancer, particularly in connection with
the dark side of breast cancer awareness month, you know that we have been calling for the
complete reclassification of some types of breast cancer as benign lesions, e.g.
ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), as well as pointing out repeatedly that x-ray based breast
screenings are not only highly carcinogenic but are also causing an epidemic of overdiagnosis
and overtreatment in US women, with an estimated 1.3 million cases in the past
30 years alone.
This week, a National Cancer Institute commissioned panels report published in JAMA online
confirmed that we all public and professionals alike should stop calling low-risk lesions
like DCIS and high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (HGPIN) cancer.
There are wide-reaching implications to this recommendation, including:
Millions of women in this country have been diagnosed with DCIS, and millions of men with
HGPIN, and subsequently [mis]treated.
Are they now to be retroactively reclassified as victims of iatrogenesis, with legal
recourse to seek compensation?
Anyone engaged in a cancer screening will now need to reconsider and weigh both the
risks and benefits of such a preventive strategy, considering that the likelihood
of being diagnosed with a false positive over 10 years is already over 50% for women undergoing
annual breast screening.
The burgeoning pink ribbon-bedecked breast cancer awareness industry will be forced
to reformulate its message, as it is theoretically culpable for the overdiagnosis and overtreatment
of millions of US women by propagating an entirely false concept of cancer.
As reported by Medscape:
The practice of oncology in the United States is in need of a host of reforms and initiatives
to mitigate the problem of overdiagnosis and overtreatment of cancer, according to a working
group sanctioned by the National Cancer Institute.
Perhaps most dramatically, the group says that a number of premalignant conditions,
including ductal carcinoma in situ and high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, should
no longer be called cancer.
Instead, the conditions should be labeled something more appropriate, such as indolent
lesions of epithelial origin (IDLE), the working group suggests.
The Viewpoint report was published online July 29 in JAMA.
Fundamentally, overdiagnosis results from the fact that screen-detected cancers
are disproportionately slower growing ones, present with few to no symptoms, and would
never progress to cause harm if left undiagnosed and untreated.
As you can see by the graph above, it is the fast-growing tumors which will be more difficult
to detect early, and will progress rapidly enough to cause symptoms and perhaps even
death unless treated aggressively.
But even in the case of finding the tumor early enough to contain it through surgery,
chemotherapy and/or radiation, it is well-known that the minority subpopulation of cancer
stem cells within these tumors will be enriched and therefore made more malignant through
conventional treatment.
For instance, radiotherapy radiation wavelengths were only recently found by UCLA Jonnsson
Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers to transform breast cancer cells into highly
malignant cancer stem-cell like cells, with 30 times higher malignancy post-treatment.
What this means is that not only are millions of screen-detected abnormalities not cancer
in the first place but even those which can be considered fast-growing are often being
driven into greater malignancy by the conventional chemotherapy, radiation and surgery-based
standard of cancer care itself.
Our entire world view of cancer needs to shift from an enemy that attacks us and that
we must wage war against, to something our body does, presumably to survive an increasingly
inhospitable, nutrient-deprived, carcinogen- and radiation-saturated environment, i.e.
Cancer As An Ancient Survival Mechanism Unmasked.
When we look at cancer through the optic of fear and see it as an essentially chaos-driven
infinitely expanding mass of cells, we are apt to make irrational choices.
The physiological state of fear itself has been found to activate multidrug resistance
proteins within cancer cells, explaining how our very perception of cancer can influence
and/or determine its physiological status and/or trajectory within our body.
The NCI panel report opined:
The word cancer often invokes the specter of an inexorably lethal process; however,
cancers are heterogeneous and can follow multiple paths, not all of which progress to metastases
and death, and include indolent disease that causes no harm during the patients lifetime.
For more details on what our founder Sayer Ji calls the Cancer Malignancy Meme,
see his video presentation at the Mind Body Week DC conference, wherein he discuss the
Rise of Biomedicine within the context of the mind-body connection, and breast cancer
overdiagnosis in particular.
We must keep in mind that this proposed redefinition of cancer is no small academic matter, but
will affect the lives of millions of women.
Consider that every year, approximately 60,000 women in this country are diagnosed with DCIS,
a diagnosis so traumatic that it results in significant psychiatric depression 3 years
after even a false positive diagnosis.
For those less fortunate women, numbering in the millions over the past 30 years, who
were told they had cancer and needed to undergo lumpectomy, radiation, chemotherapy
and/or mastectomy, the NCI panels recommendation is a hard pill swallow after the damage has
already been irrevocably done.
So, whats the solution?
There is a growing movement towards the use of thermography as a primary diagnostic tool,
as it uses no ionizing radiation, and can detect the underlying physiological processes
that may indicate inflammation, angiogenesis, cancer-specific metabolic changes, etc., many
years before a calcified lesion would appear within an x-ray mammogram.
Also, the mainstay of any truly preventive strategy against cancer is diet, nutrition,
exercise and avoiding chemical and radiation exposures the things that we can do in
our daily lives to take back control of and responsibility for our health.

Air Exerts Pressure In All Directions Experiment: 📌Carry A Glass Jar Using Only A Balloon! - Duration: 1:16.
Hola a todos.
This is Gally Kids And today we're doing a simple experiment
to show that air exerts pressure in all directions.
For this experiment, you will need, a glass and a balloon.
And that's it...
Vamos a empezar.
Let's start this experiment with a challenge.
Do you think you can carry the glass jar using only a balloon?
That's good thinking Super Platano!
You won't be able to carry the glass that way.
or that.
Let's try this again.
First, put the balloon inside the glass jar with the opening just outside it so you can
blow on it.
Now blow up the balloon!
As you blow it up, the air in the balloon will push on all sides of the glass jar until
it gets stuck inside it And that... my dear friends, is how you carry
a glass jar with a balloon.
Clever, huh?
That's all for today.

MOUNTAIN LIONS AT GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK - Duration: 3:56.
hi i'm ranger lori and i have just a few
minutes to share with you a little
glimpse into the life of Grand Canyon's
top predator the mountain lion
not only is the mountain lion Grand
Canyon's top predator in every habitat
through this park
it's also serving a valuable role it's
helping to maintain the ecological
balance throughout this wilderness
ecosystem now the lion as our top
predator in the park is also a skillful
hunter weighing up to 200 pounds and
measuring length from six to eight feet
long
this is an animal capable of running 45
miles an hour and leaping 15 feet
straight up in the air
wow it has wonderful senses great
hearing spectacular vision in fact its
vision is so good it can see with
one-sixth of the light that you and I
need at night so wonderful nocturnal
vision don't let that stop you from
going on a night walk while you're here
though they have tremendous weapons as
well you can see can't have sharp
retractable claws and powerful teeth in
fact you can tell by looking at the
skull of the mountain lion this is a
true carnivore we don't have molars we
only have carne seals these are designed
to slice me to pole and swallow it down
this is a nocturnal animal or a
crepuscular animal that means that hunts
in the Twilight it uses silence stealth
and stalking to capture its food
typically by ambush
there's a lot of dining options here at
Grand Canyon National Park both for
people and for mountain lions mouth
lines could start with nor d'oeuvre like
say a fox or a ringtail or even a habit
are wild turkey but that's just an order
they move on to a bigger course
something like our mule deer are elk or
even bighorn sheep not an easy thing to
do
their food is for five times bigger than
they are and their food it is armed
they've got weapons and fight back
gloves and antlers and horns second
crack skulls punctured lungs and break
ribs
this isn't something we have to deal
with in fact when we wake up in the
morning and open the fridge and reach
for the yogurt yogurt it's not usually
trying to kill us in the morning so
two good thing mountain lions are such
skillful hunters mountains are playing a
valuable role here at grand canyon
national park there helping maintain the
a collage achill balance throughout this
wild ecosystem as they read upon herds
of mule deer and elk they keep those
populations stable which in turn keeps
all of the vegetation stable providing
habitat and home for everything
underneath it now it's not just what
mountain lions eat but it's what they
don't eat that keeps them such a
valuable player here
mountain lions are picky eaters if their
food starts to spoil they don't want to
eat it anymore and they will abandon
their kill which now provides food for
all the scavengers that live here
things like foxes and weasels things
like Ravens turkey vultures and even the
most endangered bird Grand Canyon the
California condor now it's not likely
you're going to see this elusive animal
if you have a rare encounter what do you
do
stand tall look big don't run fight back
if you must
while you're here visiting us at grand
canyon national park again you're not
likely to see the secret of animal but
chances are it might see you

DIY Date Night In at Home | Chocolate Fountain | Strawberry Roses - Duration: 4:50.
Hi guys welcome back to my channel today I´m going to show you how to do a romantic date
night in on the 14th of February we celebrate Valentine´s Day so I thought what beter time
to show you guys how me and hubby celebrate date night at home if we´re not able to find
a babysitter or if we don´t feel like going out so the first thing I´m going to show
you guys that I made are these Heart Candy Chocolates they´re super easy to make all
you need is a mould I used a silicone mould and then you need some melted chocolate I
used dark chocolate but you can use whatever chocolate is your favourite I also added some
heart candies that I bought at Flying Tiger and first you´re going to add a little at
the bottom then pop in a candy then some more chocolate shake it and put in the fridge for
about 30 seconds (minutes) For the shabby chic banner I used some heart
paper napkins I also used doilies and some craft paper and I absolutely loved the way
it looked I used some love signs to decorate further this Eiffel Tower candle Here hubby
is pouring us each a glass of wine such a romantic time together we started in the early/late
afternoon and carried on until it was dark and when I lit all the candles it looked so
so beautiful the idea to put the candy floss (cotton candy) on top of the wine glasses
from Pinterest and it was so so cute and tasted really good too For our romantic date night
in we just had dessert we had a chocolate fountain that was so so good guys I can´t
express how good this was and so I made a few treats to go with it and one of the treats
I made are these rosewater heart shaped rice krispie treats so so easy to make and they
we´re so so good so you´re going to need a few ingredients to make this and the ingredients
you need would be rice krispies, mini marshmallows, butter, rosewater extract or flavourant and
then edible colour I used pink and then you´re going to add your mini marshmallows to your
melted butter melt that all together and then you´re going to add your rosewater flavour
as well as your edible food colour because I did it the other way around guys and I´m
going to tell you it wasn´t a good idea then you´re going to put it in a prepared dish
and make sure it´s compact and even put it in the fridge and once it´s set you´re going
to heart cutter that´s lightly dipped into oil to cut out your heart shapes and then
you´re going to add a lollipop stick to that so so good and so easy and one of the other
treats I made were these strawberry rose pops and to make strawberry rose pops you need
to make strawberry roses and so cut down three equal cuts like you see on the video right
now at the bottom part of your strawberry cut straight down the next layer you´re going
to do three as well but inbetween the layers of the bottom and the last cut at the top
open that up a little bit and that is it you´re done you´ve made your own strawberry rose
just add it to a wooden skewer and you´ve got yourself some strawberry rose pops We
also had some edible heart confetti and shredded coconut so after we dipped our treats into
the chocolate we also used some of the sprinkles and the coconut to enhance the flavour and
it was so good it was just so much fun guys I must say what I liked about the confetti
it added a crunch to the rose pop dipped into the chocolate so it was really really good
here on the table I decorated it with some of the heart chocolate that I made previously
as well as some rose petals and the heart wreath I made I´m going to link to the video
here right now for you guys to see how I made that and here are the third treats I made
some heart marshmallows with the candies on a skewer It was so beautiful guys here is
a clip from the evening with the candles lit we also lit our little Mexican fire place
the name escapes me Chimenea that´s the word! It was so romantic a wonderful night that
I won´t forget and definitely I´m already thinking of what I can create next time Thanks
so much for watching guys I appreciate each one of you let me know in the description
box what was your favourite thing in the video and please like this video as well as subscibe
to my channel for more videos like this Until next time thanks guys Ciao!

Yintrospection: The Hanged Man - Let It Be, Go With The Flow, Relax - Duration: 1:55.
Hi, welcome to Yintrospection.
I'm Tara.
Today I am sharing a really fun card with you, and that card is The Hanged Man.
I love this card.
The Hanged Man is card twelve in the Major Arcana, and the lesson that I want you to
take from The Hanged Man is one of being at ease with yourself, with being ok with who
you are, with how you are, in this moment right now.
When we covered The Wheel of Fortune, we talked about analyzing how we are in the moment,
how our behavior is, how are reactions are, how we can get from point A to point B. With
The Hanged Man, we're just ok with what is.
And sometimes, that is exactly how we need to be.
Maybe that's exactly where our spirit needs to be at this moment.
Most of the time we want to believe that, because it makes things a lot easier.
We want to go for goals, but we also want to be gentle with ourselves.
The Hanged Man is also a lesson of having great faith.
It's like a trust fall, when you simply fall and let a crowd of people or one person
catch you, and you just believe they will and go completely limp and let go.
Those can be really scary but they are also exhilarating because you realize, someone
caught me.
I was caught.
I'm taken care of.
I'm supported.
I didn't even have to do anything, and I was caught.
So in this card, we are hanging, we are letting ourselves go, we are being, and we are trusting
that we're gonna be ok, that everything is fine, and we are in exactly the right place.
Thank you so much for watching my video today, please like this video if you liked it, share
it with your friends if you feel that they'll benefit from it, and don't forget to subscribe
to my channel for future videos which I post every week.
I hope you have a great day with the energy of The Hanged Man.
Namaste.

GRAND CANYON RIVER ORIENTATION - Duration: 6:05.
hi
we hope the information in this video
helps to answer some of the questions
that you might have about running the
Colorado River as users of this river
corridor we all have a vested interest
in preserving this place for future
generations and on behalf of the
National Park Service would like to
thank you for watching this video
ever since humans took the first peek
over the edge of the Grand Canyon its
influence a tangible respect from anyone
who's seen it no matter what their
background or motivation none could
discount the power of its sheer scale
for the extremes in temperature geology
and beauty and makeup its personality to
this day people come from all over the
world just to see it firsthand
there's a certain group of visitors that
seek a more intense journey into the
core of the King to be part of the dance
of water on the Colorado River as it
drops almost 2,000 feet and its way to
like me
it's what the Hualapai tribe called Tata
or the backbone and running it's like
three grand canyon national park is
surely one of the prime outdoor
experiences available anywhere in the
world
many of those who run the river have
little in common except their passion
for these giant waves and the pneumatic
experience of floating down these
corridors of time
most people on private trips who venture
down Grand Canyon are already
accomplished whitewater boaters even so
the challenges and adventures of the
next days will prove to be at times both
inspiring and challenging
this section of the Colorado River is
one of the top ten the world's white
water runs
it also provides for the rare experience
of drifting through one of the seven
natural wonders of the world
no doubt you've committed time and
resources to support your intention to
go on this trip
now that your opportunity has arrived we
hope that the river users have gone
before you have traveled lightly so that
your experience can be as enjoyable as
theirs was
not only is it your turn to run the
canyon but it's your turn to be a
steward in a continuous team approach to
protecting the cultural and natural
resources of the canyon ecosystem
the grand canyon is a world of extremes
and contradictions
it's tough to truly understand the
contrast between its geologic power and
the fragile resources that exist here
while this stretch of the Colorado River
was known to indigenous tribes for more
than 10,000 years
the 277 miles section through what is
now Grand Canyon National Park hadn't
been navigated until John Wesley
Powell's 1869 expedition set out to
document the run
powell and his team wrote about their
first person accounts of the journey and
help focus national attention on the
area with his group experience was a
wild river with no dams controlling its
flow and no other River Runners to
compete with for camp spots today's
reality is a bit different
the river is dammed controlled and the
run has become so popular that today
roughly twenty-nine thousand voters
float the Colorado River each year
modern voters face some of the same
challenges that piles team did but with
the advantage of modern equipment and
detailed maps
the new challenge is to minimize our
collective impact
while the Colorado River and Grand
Canyon may affect you physically and
mentally you will affect the canyon just
by your presence there and since there
are so many of us now we've learned a
few tips over the years to both protect
the resources and help make your trip
successful it's a delicate balancing act
for the Park Service and one that we
continually improve upon these very
located some 15 miles below glen canyon
dam marks the starting point for all
trips through Grand Canyon before you
arrive at least very be sure to check
all your equipment especially the
required equipment is listed in your
permit packet the least very Ranger will
be checking your equipment before you
start your trip so make sure it's
accessible remember there are no River
equipment suppliers or repair facilities
nearly as very so be sure your equipment
is in working order before you leave
home
a hundred and fifty people may launch on
any day in the summer launch ramp
becomes a very busy and potentially
dangerous place due to constantly
arriving and departing vehicles
mountains of baggage ropes and equipment
extra caution needs to be exercised to
make sure your trip doesn't end before
it starts
we recommend the private trips arrived a
day before their launch to rig and camp
at the private river camp to get an
early start on launch day look for
checking instructions on the bulletin
board on the downstream side of the ramp
from the mouth of the parrilla river
you'll enter grand canyon national park
and the start of your journey
