How to Build Custom Trees in Minecraft :: Cypress - Duration: 1:59.
Helololo and welcome back to minecraft.
Today I will be showing you how to build custom trees, more specifically tall skinny Mediterranean
Cypress trees.
To make this you will need, spruce tree saplings, and shears or a tool with silk touch.
Optionally, you may want to have extra spruce leaves, and some blocks.
You should have enough leaves from pruning the trees, but extra leaves help just in case.
Extra blocks let you pillar up on top of the tree to place leaves there.
To start, you'll want to place down a spruce tree sapling for every custom tree you want
to make.
If you plan on making a bunch like I was, then you won't have to wait as long for
the first one to grow.
To begin, prune the branches that extend way off the tree.
On smaller trees that's anything more than one block off the trunk, and on bigger ones
about 2 blocks.
After that, fill in the small gaps between leaves.
If this is confusing for you, just find places where there is a leaf block above and below
an empty space and place leaves there.
Now, your tree probably looks very boxy.
We don't want out custom trees looking weird, so pop off the bottom blocks that don't
have a face touching the trunk.
Anything on the bottom most row that is diagonal to the trunk block should be gone now.
Once you're finished with that, it's time to figure out the top bit.
I tried to make each of my trees different, so some of them did not have any additions
to the top.
However, adding some blocks to the top can really give it that Mediterranean Cypress
look.
If you did all those steps correctly, you should have something that looks like this.
As always, experiment and see what little things you can come up with to make your trees
look better.
