The pregnant mother of two was captured by the doorbell cam at her residence as she exited her friends car and made her way into the house.
The video shows the friend patiently waiting until Shanann was inside until driving off.
That friend, however, was unaware that it was safer for Shanann outside her home, as just hours later she and her unborn baby would be murdered by Chris.
At the time she is entering the home it is still unclear if her daughters were alive or had already been killed by their father.

The home where Chris Watts murdered his pregnant wife Shanann, 34, and their daughters Bella, four, and Celeste, three, has gone into foreclosure.
Watts was notified of this development in a letter sent last month by the Weld County Public Trustee.
Other documents obtained by DailyMail.com show that Watts purchased the home in May 2013 for dollar 392,709 but almost six years later still had an outstanding principal balance of dollar 349,938.09.
The auction will be publicly announced on March 22 in the Greely Tribune, with the auction following a little less than a month later.
Interested parties will need to assemble at the office of the Weld County Public Trustee at 10 am on April 17 if they would like to place a bid.
The family of Shanann had been seen removing her possessions from home shortly after her death and then again once the trial was concluded, with Watts accepting a plea deal of life in prison for confessing to the murders.

It was just a few hours after he buried the body of his wife and dumped his daughters in oil tanks that Watts alibi began to fall apart.
That was due in large part to the surveillance footage his neighbor had of Watts on the morning of the murders, which very clearly showed him back his truck up to his garage, load up the vehicle and drive off.
Watts had told police and his wife Shananns friends and family that she and daughters Bella and Celeste had run off that day while he was at work, but footage proved that was not the case.
In fact, the footage did not capture anyone leaving the house that day but Watts.
In video obtained by DailyMail.com after filing a request under the Colorado Open Records Act, Watts is seen watching that video for the first time and throwing his hands behind his head in disbelief when he realizes he has been caught.
That video would later be used to draw out Watts confession before he was formally charged with murder.

A Hazardous Materials Incident Narrative Report filed by the Colorado State Patrol details the process to retrieve the bodies of Bella and Celeste Watts, 4 and 3, after they were murdered by their father and dumped into an oil tank.
The process of removing the bodies began at 5am on the morning of August 16 and would go on for almost 14 hours, with the report noting that at 6:45pm that evening members of the Colorado State Patrol cleared the scene.
In that time, the oil from the two 400 barrel tanks on the scene was manually drained by workers, who carefully poured the liquid over metal screens to collect any possible evidence.
Then, once the tanks were emptied, men in self contained breathing gear entered and removed the bodies of the girls, whose skin came off their bodies as they were passed out of the tanks.
Their mother and unborn baby brother Nico were found just 100 yards away in a shallow grave.
Watts is serving out his life sentence at the Dodge Correctional Institution in Wapun, Wisconsin.
He was moved there on December 3 in a inmate exchange between the Colorado and Wisconsin Departments of Correction under the Interstate Corrections Compact for his own safety.
Watts left had told police and his wife Shananns right friends and family that she and daughters Bella and Celeste had run off that day while he was at work, but footage proved that was not the case
