 Lionel Messi was masterful with the ball at his feet for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid last night, Diego Simeone's men surrounded the Argentinian for the entire match but could do little to stop him evading their challenges

 At one point during the game Messi seemingly ended Filipe Luis' career with a fantastic piece of skill, after heading the ball into the air Messi pulled off a spectacular reverse nutmeg to get past the full-back

 The fact that Messi managed to pull of the skill as soon as the ball came back to the ground says it all about the superstar's magnificent first-touch and ball control

 Check out a video of the nutmeg on Filipe Luis below:  The match ended as a 1-1 draw, Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele scored a dramatic late equaliser to rescue the Blaugrana

Fred is a teacher at a local high school.

Fred enjoys teaching and does his best

to stay current on new teaching trends.

This is Mary.

Mary is Fred's principal.

Recently, Mary has been talking a lot

about differentiation and personalized learning

using technology.

Fred wants to do what's best for his students

but becomes stressed out

when thinking about creating individualized lessons

for all 30 students in each of his classes.

He's also worried about how he will balance

his already busy schedule

between preparing lessons

attending PD

collaborating with peers

and keeping parents and administrators informed

about what is happening in the class.

Mary tells Fred not to worry.

She assures him that this not his burden alone.

and that the school will be there to help.

The school will start

by creating an action plan as a team

with all stakeholders involved.

Then professional development will be offered

on differentiation and technology

designed to personalize learning for teachers

at the start of the year.

Students will take the Measures of Academic Progress

or MAP test on a biannual basis

at the beginning and the end of the year.

In conjunction with these results

teachers will also use their observations

and other assessments done in class

to create an individualized learning plan

for each student.

Mary says that the school will also create

an Advisory Program

that meets at the beginning and the end of the week

in the morning.

Fred will be able to meet with his advisory students

and go over their individualized learning plan

and help them see where they are struggling

and then, meet with teachers

to help them come up with solutions.
