Artglish Intro Video - Duration: 3:39.

Hey artists and designers!

Welcome to Artglish!

Is English your second, or third, or fourth, or fifth language?

Then this is the place for you!

Here at Artglish, I teach English for art and design. So, if you're trying to get a new job,

or you want to give a gallery talk, if you need help explaining your ideas to coworkers,

or if you want to set up a website to sell your work online, I can help!

My name is Jess.

Let me show you around.

Here on the Home page, there are many resources to help you study English for free.

If you scroll down, you can see my daily blog posts.

I write about a different way to study English in a different medium every day.

Video Mondays are for critique, Let's Talk Tuesdays for speaking,

Wordy Wednesdays for vocabulary, and Thursdays in Review for reading.

And on Fridays, I go live to answer your questions and comments!

The blog posts are a good example of the kind of content I teach in my lessons.

Another cool way you can study English for art and design is to join The Studio.

The Studio is a private space for Artglish subscribers to chat with each other, get mini-lessons every week,

study vocabulary, ask me questions, and practice talking about art.

It's totally free, and it's a good way to practice speaking and writing about art

and design, as well as studying vocabulary.

If you want to know more, you can watch the video, or just sign up and check it out!

If you join The Studio, you also get to try my free Quizlet study sets for art and design vocabulary.

There's a video here that explains how to use them.

At the bottom of the page, you'll see the widget section.

It includes resources to help you too.

The first one, Grammarly, checks your writing and helps improve your grammar.

The second one is a good dictionary site to help you learn new vocabulary.

There are demo videos to show you how to use them both.

The last one is a translator, so you can read this website in your first language,

if you want to.

At the very bottom, you can click to link to all the Artglish social media accounts.

Now let's take a look at some of the other pages on the site.

If you'd like to know more about me, you can check out my About page

to learn about my background and why I love teaching English for artists and designers.

I've got a video, a short bio, and even a picture of my cats, George and Polly.

You can also take a look at my Lessons and Courses page when you're ready to

take your learning to the next level.

I offer many different options to improve your English skills.

I can help you get a new job by improving your resume, cover letter, and interview skills.

Or, I can help you to apply for school and submit your portfolio with confidence.

I can help you to present your work clearly in meetings, critiques, or at a gallery talk.

I can also help you work on conversation skills about art and design topics.

I can even help you to write a good statement or About page and descriptions of your pieces

if you want to create a website to sell or promote your work.

There's a lot here!

So take your time and look around.

If you have any questions or you want to set up a free trial lesson, you can send me an email

on the Contact page.

Or you can join The Studio and start chatting with me and other artists in a private group.

I hope you enjoy your time here and that you can learn some new ways

to share your creativity with the world!

I'll see you soon, and thanks for watching!
