[UNAVSA-14] Bonnie To's Family Leader Application Video - Duration: 6:01.

Hi everyone, my name is Bonnie To, reppin' the New England region

Woohoo, clam chowder!

But I am doing this video today for the UNAVSA-14 Family Leader Application

So let's do this!

Okay, first question: what can you tell us briefly about yourself?

Uh, okay.

So I'm currently a Junior, rising Senior, at Boston University

We just finished finals so still accepting the fact that I'm a senior

But yeah my major is computer engineering

Um, I also have a business concentration in Tech Innovation

Um, I'm involved a lot on campus with BUVSA, for one

Love my squad! Fam!

Fam!

I'm involved in LINK (Liberty in North Korea), ENGGOV (Engineering Student Government),

and all that jazz.

Um, let's see. Personally, I love green tea!

Matcha is my thing!

Bieber is my celebrity crush (#BASIC).

I have a picture of him right there on my lovely wall.

Oh and I don't know how to swim or ride a bike.

So question two: what motivated you to want to become a Family Leader for UNAVSA-14 this year and why?

So for me, I was actually really inspired by my previous family leaders.

So I've been to two conferences so far

and for both conferences, I had amazing family leaders.

For UNAVSA-13, I had Donna Cao.

#MOMDONNA #KOOPATROOPAFAM

And for VES, I had Jimy Nguyen, for Thor fam!

#THORFAM #HAMMERTIME

But yeah, they're both really cool, loving people.

They're very outgoing, like you can always talk to them.

Heck, Donna always sends me postcards and stuff from Canada!

But yeah, they really inspired me.

Like, it was nice to see people who have never met before come together

because of their help, because of their guidance,

and I want to be someone just like them.

They've inspired me to apply and

I'm applying because hopefully, maybe, I'll get to have my own fam, I'll get to have people

who are like

"Hey, I want to be like Bonnie!"

"Hey, I want to do the same thing that she does!"

"Hey, I want to apply for UNAVSA-15 family leader!"

Ha! ;)

Question three: how will you be the catalyst for bringing your family closer together?

Um, so for starters, I think I have a large variety of interests

So I think like because of the large range that I have, it'd be easy to find a common

ground with everyone

It'd be easy to talk, easy to like get to know each other better.

Other than that, I'd say I'm pretty social, pretty outgoing.

I generally talk a lot, I'm pretty positive.

Like even when we're losin' a game or something like that, I'll always still be the amped one.

I'll always be cheering us on because we still a squad, we still fam!

Ugh, I'm already picturing myself in that moment.

Not that we're gonna lose, we're gonna win.

We're gonna win the fam games haha

Uh yeah, I'm always excited for things, always amped.

I also really like making people laugh!

I'm willing to get out of my comfort zone and like do silly things.

Sure, it might be awkward sometimes but it's okay!

I can also get pretty ratch'

As long as it makes people laugh, I'm willing to do it!

But yeah, overall, I think I will be a good catalyst for bringing my family together because

I'll keep the conversation flowing even if I have to talk to myself in the group chat.

As long as we all get to know each other, as long as we get to bond, I think that it'll

be okay.

Uh, for question four: show us one of your talents!

-nervous laughter-

So I'm not a talented person but

But I guess, okay, I can actually cry on demand.

I lowkey can...

I think I can...

I can tear up on demand for sure.

Okay, let me see if I can do it.

I need a moment.

That's... the best I can do! -laughs-

I keep laughing!

Okay, I'm tearing on demand.

I'm tearing up.

I teared up.

I can tear up on demand.

Question five: what disney/pixar movie best describes you and why?

Okay, so, this question was extremely hard for me; I'm so indecisive.

Um, I have trouble like picking, I don't know, what to eat on a daily basis so like picking

this was like the hardest decision of my life.

But I think if I had to choose, I'd pick "Mulan."

She is herself no matter what people think, she does a lot of things that are very strong

and she doesn't care and I think that I do do (doodoo hehe) that a lot in my daily life.

I would also pick "Up."

I saw this movie a long time ago too and I don't remember the exact storyline but I do

remember that it was about being adventurous and not forgetting to do the things you want

in life

And another thing, being adventurous, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and applying

to be family leader!

Yay!

So I think "Up" also describes me there.

But yeah, last question: let us hear your rendition of your favorite disney/pixar song

My favorite is, the one that I always sing in the shower these days, is actually Moana's

How Far I'll Go.

Okay, I'll try.

Uhh, I don't know the lyrics; I just make up lyrics when I sing in the shower LOL so

I'm gonna be lookin' from my laptop. Okay.
