Member of MTV's 'Siesta Key' Under Investigation After Alleged Shark Shooting Video - Duration: 2:00.

Alex Kompothecras of MTV's cringe-worthy new reality show Siesta Key is in trouble after

a video surfaced earlier this week of someone believed to be Kompothecras shooting a hammerhead

shark.

The clip shows a man wearing a red Make America Great Again hat, because of course he is,

and long-sleeve gray shirt, firing off two shots after the shark is raised slightly above

the water's surface.

This is the kind of asshole that blows on a half-full magazine because he thinks it

makes him look like John Wick or some shit.

Glad there's a tv show that perfectly reflects the United States in the year 2017 with a

big Ol fuck you to nature.

I mean, this is also also from Kompothecras's IG account which is also the last thing you

see before you die.

The clothing worn by the shooter is similar to what Kompothecras is seen wearing in a

photo he posted of himself huddled over what appears to be a dead hammerhead shark on a

bunch of now-deleted Instagram posts

This latest news comes just a week after a video of someone connected to Kompothecras

violently dragging a shark made the rounds.

Controversy over that video led to the cancellation of the Siesta Key premiere party and calls

for the series' cancellation.

At least some experts are convinced that both shark videos came from the same people.

animal activist Russ Rector said:

"My first reaction was how ridiculous it was and how cruel it was, quite frankly this was

all done so they can videotape it and show it to their friends.If you are going to kill

a shark, you shoot it in the head.He fired shots into the gill, causing the shark to

bleed out and suffocate.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission rules state that it is illegal to shoot sharks in

Florida waters.

However, it is legal further off shore in federal waters.

But regardless of where the incident took place, the act of killing the shark by shooting

it in the gills is still incredibly cruel.
