Waching daily Feb 5 2017

Hello everybody, it's Gabriela from Tarot Wonderland.

Thank you for joining me for your weekly reading.

This reading will run from February 6th to 12th, 2017.

I am using the Oracle Tarot by Lucy Cavendish for this reading.

They're really nice cards, I know you will enjoy them.

Let's get started.

Our first card is the Six of Cups and it's called Reflection in this deck.

It came up reversed but I'm showing you the card in the upright position so you can see

the image.

So this is really interesting ... the Six of Cups is often referred to as the "Nostalgia"

card.

It's about looking back at a certain time of your life.

It can often refer to childhood ... to your childhood .. when things were happier, when

things were simpler, when things were a little bit more innocent and carefree.

So in this card we see this woman who is opening up this cupboard and she's looking at these

cups as if she wants to select which one of those cups for her coffee or tea or whatever.

There's a cute heart on the cupboard, above it, and notice how she's got a bunch of question

marks on the hem of her dress.

So to me, what the cups represent in this card are memories.

She's looking at these memories, she's opening up this cupboard, she's looking inside herself.

She's looking at her past and she has all these memories in front of her that she can

choose from.

With the card in the upright position it's suggesting these are positive memories.

These are positive feelings, positive associations that she has that she has to choose from and

think about.

But with the card in the reverse, the sense that I'm getting is that you may be looking

back on maybe not so pleasant memories in your life.

You're kind of focusing on negative memories rather than positive ones.

You may be kind of obsessing about something or someone or a certain time of your life

that was maybe traumatic or you went through a lot of stuff.

And this has been on your mind lately.

So to me what this card is saying is that we may be kind of focusing on feelings that

are not that pleasant.

Bad memories, unpleasant memories, things that have not been ... things in life that

maybe have not been that kind to us and we may be kind of obsessing on that or focusing

on that this week.

Our second card is the Hierophant card.

It's called Tradition in this deck but this would be the Hierophant card in the Rider-Waite

system.

It's very interesting, this is a very interesting spin on that Hierophant card.

We see a woman ... we can't see her frontally, we're not seeing her from the front, just

from the side, but she seems to be this very beautiful woman with this long flowing blonde

hair and it looks like she has a flower on the table in front of her.

There's also a flower in a picture frame above her and she's in this house or this structure

and she's looking outside.

So the Hierophant represents tradition, as it says here on this card.

It usually represents a teacher, somebody very wise, an elder, somebody who upholds

and has very high standards and teaches people their beliefs about their tradition, about

their belief system, their morals, their ethics, their values.

What they consider important in life.

And they teach people how to live their best life.

But it has the danger of making you kind of insulated, as we see here.

This woman is in this house and she's looking out the window.

She's not outside, she's inside.

She's in this little box.

So although this person does have very valuable things to share and teach, they are also kind

of ... there's also kind of cut off from other things outside.

They stick very strictly to one particular belief system or one value system and that

kind of blinds them to other things or other possibilities.

So they live their life from a very set structure of beliefs and values and so on.

That is one thing this card is about.

Now I find it very interesting that the keywords on this card are nostalgia and reflection.

I think they definitely relate back to that Six of Cups card that we drew in the first

card because that is the Nostalgia card.

Six of Cups is the Nostalgia card, that's one of the names for it.

And also the keyword on that card was Reflection so we're seeing that card sort of mirrored

here.

And it definitely is relating to that.

I'm getting a lot of stuff off this card.

Notice how this woman is sort of ... it looks like she's leaning in that window.

It looks like she's looking outside.

It's like she wants to break out of this box.

She's curious about what's outside.

She wants to go outside but she still is very much ... it's like she's stuck.

It's like she's stuck in this place.

Although she's curious about other things it seems like she doesn't want to leave.

She's curious but she doesn't want to leave.

She wants to stay in her safe little box.

So that could be having something to do with what you're thinking about this week, like

I was saying about maybe having unpleasant memories or focusing on negative things and

that can have something to do with why you may be feeling stuck in a certain place or

a certain belief system or a certain set of values.

Maybe you're feeling trapped by this in some way.

So let's move on to card three and then as usual I will wrap up at the end.

Our third card is the Eight of Swords and it came up reversed but I'm showing you the

card upright.

So there's a definite theme going on here.

And again, the image on this card is very different from the Rider-Waite, the traditional

Rider-Waite image which is a woman standing on a beach and she's surrounded by swords

and she's blindfolded and there are ties around her.

it's about feeling bound but it's more by your own mind.

In this deck, this card is called Caring for Yourself and we see this person, this woman,

who looks like she's about to eat a bowl of soup.

She looks very comfortable.

She's sitting down to eat her soup.

She is nurturing herself.

She's eating a meal.

And these swords are all around her but she doesn't look unhappy about it.

She doesn't look like she is restricted in any way.

She's even kind of smiling to herself and she's got these beautiful green eyes.

So it doesn't look like she is suffering at all.

It doesn't look like she is feeling trapped.

She may be in a box of her own making.

She may feel very comfortable there.

Now as I said this card did come up in the reverse so what this is suggesting to me is

that you may not be ... your previous modes of making yourself feel safe, of keeping yourself

in a little box aren't feeling good to you anymore.

They may be feeling outmoded or they may be feeling outdated.

And you are ready ... I think you're ready to break out of your box.

I think you're ready to try something new.

You just may not have ... you just may not know how to go about it.

So what I'm getting from this is nurturing yourself ... keeping yourself in your own

little box, your own little space has been your way of feeling safe and secure and like

you can be sure of what's going on in your world when you kind of limit yourself to certain

things.

But with the card in the reverse it's telling me this isn't working for you anymore.

Maybe you're ready to grow, maybe you feel secure enough that you're ready to go out

and try new things and this could be indicating that.

So let me show you all three cards and I will sum this up.

Very interesting reading here.

So guys, what I'm seeing here is ... it's actually very profound.

I think there are some very major changes going on in some of us, some very ... I think

some of us have been thinking a lot about our family patterns, about behavior patterns

that we've seen around us, how they have affected us in our lives.

And we have been feeling trapped by this for some time, I think.

We have wanted to live a different way and try different things but we may have felt

very limited by those or maybe past trauma, past things that have happened to us, memories

that have happened to us have prevented us from moving forward in a certain direction.

And I really see this as some of us really kind of on the periphery of a major new cycle

in our life here.

This is very, very beautiful.

It's definitely not a week of a lot of action.

This is a very inward week.

We have emotion here with the Six of Cups.

We have the mind with the Eight of Swords.

And then we've got that Major Arcana Hierophant right in the middle there.

So this is a very inward week.

This is a very inner week for a lot of us.

I think a lot of us are going through a very profound change right now and it has to do

with emotion and the way that emotion has affected the way we think and the way we go

about our lives, the way that we have kind of put ourselves in our own little bubble

and protected ourselves from what we perceive as danger or from more negativity happening

to us.

A lot of people do that ... to avoid pain they stay in this little box and they keep

themselves very insulated and that way they feel they are protecting themselves ... but

in the same vein, they're also very much limiting their lives.

And with the way that this woman on the Tradition card, the Hierophant card, is leaning at that

window ... it's like you want to get out there, you want to get outside, you want to try something

new, you want to venture out of your comfort zone and explore.

Explore more of what life has to offer.

But also this may have a lot to do with family tradition.

Maybe with what you've been taught by your family.

Like, it's not proper to do this, it's not proper to do that.

"This is the way we do things in this family."

"This is not okay."

Those kind of things may also have been holding you back and I think you're really ready to

break out of that this week.

I just noticed how the heart on that Six of Cups card at the top of the cupboard ... with

the card in reverse it almost looks like a teardrop.

So I'm really sensing that this reading is referring to childhood pain or emotional pain

in your past that is really coming into play this week.

It's playing a part in your life this week.

It could have to do with your family ... maybe something's going on in your family that's

bringing a lot of this stuff up for you and it's made you realize how it has limited you

in your life and you're just fed up with it and you're really ready to make a change and

break out of that and just go to the beat of your own drummer.

So that is really what I'm seeing here.

The Hierophant card can also refer to marriage so this could have to do with maybe there's

some marriage stuff going on for you that ... there's stuff that you're going through

in the past of your marriage, things that have happened, things that have hurt you,

painful things that have happened in your marriage and that have kept you feeling trapped

or limited.

And you're just done with that.

Maybe you are really seriously questioning ... again, those question marks on the bottom

of her dress, right?

Maybe you're really questioning things and just kind of putting everything together in

your mind and thinking, okay how has this all affected me?

What has this done to me?

How has it made me the person I am today?

Do I still want to be that person?

And I think you're really questioning that this week.

So guys, whether this is something .. this is a general reading so it won't apply to

everybody but for those of you that it does resonate with and you are really hearing this

right now, if you've been going over stuff ... thinking about your childhood, your past,

your family history, how that may have limited you, the teachings in your family, the role

models that you had, if you have been feeling limited by that and really are fed up with

it and want to make a change, or whether this is marriage related ... maybe in your marriage

you're thinking about things that have happened and how it has made you the person that you

are, the couple that you are, and you're feeling like you need to break out of that.

You're just done with it ... if you're going through any of that stuff ... I know that

kind of thing can be really difficult, it can be really difficult to deal with these

things, so if you need to talk to somebody ... whether it's a professional or a friend,

please do that.

Find somebody who you can really trust, whether it's a friend or a counselor or somebody.

If you're really feeling like you're in a lot of pain and you need to talk and you need

to get this stuff out of you, definitely avail yourself of that because there could be a

lot of painful feelings going on right now and the more that you can talk about them,

the more that you can express and work through them, the better.

So I think I'm going to leave it there.

I think this is going to be .. we are on the cusp of a major change here.

There's a major realization that has come to us this week and I think there are great

possibilities in front of us but before those can come to fruition I think we need to work

through this stuff and expel it and get it out there and be honest about it and talk

about it and work through it and once you've done that, the possibilities are endless.

So guys, very interesting reading.

Bizarre Things That Happened On The Set Of Harry Potter - Duration: 5:23.

The Harry Potter films had some pretty strange things happen during shoots, from vandalism

to actor accidents to hilarious hijinks that Fred and George Weasley would definitely approve

of. Hearing about all these antics might just make you wish you'd gotten that Hogwarts acceptance

letter after all, so load up on chocolate frogs and head to Platform 9 ¾ so we can

revisit some of the strangest things to happen on the set of Harry Potter.

Trashing the train

The Hogwarts Express was the site of not one but two cases of property destruction during

the shoots. In 2003, a group of youths made good on that Marauder's Map pledge to be up

to no good and spray-painted one of the train cars with silver and green symbols while it

was stationed at a depot in Scarborough. As if that wasn't bad enough, in 2007, another

set of vandals smashed several windows with the train's emergency hammers, and the boys

responsible, who were between 12 and 14 at the time, were arrested for causing such expensive

damage to the vehicle.

Hamster funeral

On the set of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, personal tragedy struck young star

Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the film. Her pet hamster, Millie, died of

a heart attack during filming — and since Watson was only 11 years old at the time,

it was a devastating day for her indeed. The film's set department conjured up an idea

for how to make her feel better about it, though, and made Watson's lost little pal

her own tiny mahogany casket with velvet lining and a silver plaque bearing her name.

"Rest in peace, Millie. This one's for you."

Close call

Water scenes in movies are notoriously difficult to pull off, so it's probably no surprise

that the scene where the young competitors in the Tri-wizard Tournament were made to

fish out their friends from the depths of the sea became problematic. Daniel Radcliffe,

who played Harry, got his signals crossed when he was filming the diving scene in a

water tank and, instead of using the gesture that meant "a-OK," he accidentally alerted

his scuba trainers that he was running out of air and needed to be brought to the surface.

It was a relatively harmless snafu in the end, of course, but it's a good thing he didn't

make the wrong sign at a time of need.

Tragedy strikes

While Radcliffe's close call was a false alarm, there was a gruesome accident on the set of

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 2009 that left Radcliffe's stunt double David Holmes

permanently paralyzed. The 25-year-old former gymnast was filming a flying scene that required

him to be yanked backward during a controlled explosion. Something went wrong and he was

thrown to the ground. As a result, Holmes, who had been Radcliffe's stunt double since

the first movie, suffered a broken neck and is still in a wheelchair.

Despite this tragedy, Holmes has maintained his relationship with some of the Potter cast

members, especially Radcliffe and Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy. He's also an official

Ambassador for the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital Appeal, where he did his strenuous

recovery after the accident.

Hogwarts alight

Holmes' devastating injury wasn't the only set accident to occur on Deathly Hallows.

Due to a pyrotechnic special effect failure, a fire broke out during the Hogwarts battle

scene, catching the actual set on fire. None of the main cast was present, but 100 crew

members were there and it took 40 minutes to put the fire out. Luckily, the castle that

burned was a mocked-up version — in fact, no major damage was caused to the main set,

and the fire was out by the time the fire department got there.

Though tabloids exaggerated the incident, Warner Bros. representatives said the set

was going to be rebuilt anyway for Deathly Hallows Part 2. Even so, sources joked that

the crew was forced to write "I must not burn down Hogwarts" using the Blood Quill.

"Mischief managed."

Class clown

During the filming of Sorcerer's Stone, one actor's performance was so hilarious that

the kids on the set couldn't stop giggling, which was a problem in keeping to the production

schedule. Peeves, the poltergeist of Hogwarts, was a staple throughout the books, and Rik

Mayall was cast for the part. Problem was, he had the kids in stitches so much that he

was even asked to do his lines with his back to the kids, and even then they still couldn't

stop laughing at him. It wasn't the incessant chuckling that got the character axed from

the theatrical cut, though. Director Chris Columbus just didn't like the way it looked

on-screen and left his scenes on the editing room floor, much to the chagrin of Mayall.

Mayall later said that he didn't have the heart to tell his own children he'd been cut,

so when they went to see the film, they came home and said "bloody good makeup, Dad," thinking

that it was him who'd played Hagrid in the movie.

Homework sessions

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban director Alfonso Cuaron forced the main actors to write

essays about the characters they'd been playing for years. As the story goes, Radcliffe wrote

one page, Watson wrote 16, and Rupert Grint pulled a classic Ronald Weasley move and just

didn't turn his in.

Cuarón claimed this exercise was a way to immerse the actors in their own emotions and

experiences, while digging deeper into the characters they play, and he said that their

essays were "really beautiful, very honest, very bare and very courageous."

Sucker punch

In the scene from Prisoner of Azkaban where Hermione calls Draco Malfoy a "foul, loathsome,

evil little cockroach," she was supposed to just slap him, according to Tom Felton. But

apparently, Watson got carried away and punched her co-star instead. Felton says she has a

"mean hook," and that he walked away from the incident with his tail tucked between

his legs, and his hearing sort of impaired.

"I feel terrible. I feel really bad. I'm not really sure what I was thinking."

Let's relive that moment once again, shall we?

Chances are, he won't be calling anyone a mudblood in real life anytime soon with the

memory of that hit in mind.

flying golem this attack was also from

Indonesia event war and was made by sompyoh

look at this base it's a popular

used his golem to defeat it

his plan is used jump spell to help

golems go to the inside

golem will tank four wizards and

heroes so that they can destroy all

defenses he planned to send golem from

two sides like this then use jump spell

to get the last air defense after

killing all air defenses he will send

balloons to back-end now let's see his

attack

firstly he dropped golden a few Wizards

to clear some buildings and now he

dropped the second oldham and clean

behind it after the mortar was destroyed

he dropped third golem there are too

many defenses at this area but 3 golems

are enough to tank for Queen and wizards

now CC troops come out and he dropped

two poisons immediately to kill them

look at the way he dropped the spells or

even covered the entire distance from

the clan castle to the golems and now he

said the last golem and a few Wizards

behind it he used three wall breakers to

destroy the walls while the King didn't

go to the inside because he dropped the

King one second early he should wait

until the walls were destroyed before

dropping his King now the second jump

was dropped that is a smart jump it will

help all golems can jump to the sweeper

he used rage spell yer to kill the

Tesla's and king and the last jump was

dropped at the enemy Queen area it will

help his King killed the Queen and the

The Construction of the First Death Star: Star Wars Canon vs Legends - Duration: 3:47.

Rogue One and the novel Catalyst have provided us with a pretty clear history of the development

and construction of the first Death Star.

So how does the new canon history compare with the story told in Star Wars Legends?

In this video we'll cover both versions, see what changed, and see what stayed the

same.

Starting with the canon, the Death Star began construction shortly after the Clone Wars

began.

With the capture of Poggle the Lesser and the Geonosian plans, the Republic entered

an arms race with the Separatists.

It was started in orbit above Geonosis and Poggle negotiated his freedom in exchange

for a Geonosian labor force.

The project was overseen by Director Orson Krennic.

The battle station itself was of course a large project, but not impossible.

The superweapon was a new technology that needed to be developed.

Ultimately it was the weapon that would cause delay after delay in completing the Death

Star.

Galen Erso was responsible for many of those delays, but also eventually finished it.

It took over twenty years for the station to be built.

At some point the construction was moved away from Geonosis and the entire planet was sterilized.

Wookiee slaves were used to replace the lost work force.

Star Wars Legends tells a very different version.

The concept of a planet-like battle station was first envisioned twenty nine years before

the Battle of Yavin by Raith Sienar, who shared his idea with Wilhuff Tarkin, who was the

commander of the Republic Outland Regions Security Force.

Tarkin took the idea to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and took credit for inventing it.

Sienar's plans were combined with the Geonosian plans, and Sidious commanded Dooku and the

Geonosians to begin construction.

After the Clone Wars, the secret project continued under Imperial supervision.

Bevel Lemelisk was the overseer in Legends, and like Krennic he faced hardships that dragged

the construction out over nineteen years.

But in this case the delays were more logistical than technological.

Things like labor union disputes and supply problems.

If everything had gone smoothly, construction would have only taken two years.

And that's not to say that the superlaser wasn't still an issue.

It was still new technology, and to ensure it would work, a prototype was built at the

Maw Installation.

Construction in Legends relocated to multiple locations including Geonosis and a prison

planet called Despayre.

Slaves were still used in the work force, including Wookiees.

The biggest difference between canon and Legends is how the insanely long construction time

was rationalized.

Legends offered a number of problems that were all contributing factors, and while the

same is technically true in the canon, greater significance is given to the development of

the superlaser.

It was delayed by secrecy and the disgruntled Galen Erso.

Legends also had to account for the Death Star prototype that was created for the Jedi

Academy Trilogy of books.

While superlaser prototypes were built on a smaller scale in the canon book Catalyst,

a full prototype of the station itself was never conceived.

But like most of the canon vs Legends videos I've done, the basics of the story have

been retained.

In this case, I think that's more because Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope kind of

forced Legends into retconning itself to fit within the parameters of the films.

If The Death Star hadn't been shown in Episode III, its history likely would have been very

different.

That's it for today!

Russian Literature: "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov - Duration: 14:20.

So, Mikhail Afanasievich Bulgakov was born in 1891

He was very famous soviet author, and also

a doctor.

Actually that is why often in his books you

may meet medical topics.

He was born in Kyiv city in the family of Theological Seminary

Associate Professor Afanasiy Ivanovich Bulgakov, and his wife

teacher of women's gymnasium Varvara Mikhaylovna.

Mikhail Bulgakov got the profession of a doctor in Kyiv

university and later worked as a doctor in many

cities of Russian and Ukraine.

And also at the front and even the Red Cross.

And, of course, he is the author of many novels,

stories and plays.

Master and Margarita - this is one of the most famous

novels of Mikhail Bulgakov.

Work at it he started around the age of thirty

years old, and did not finish until his death.

That is, the novel was never finished by the writer.

All drafts were edited already by his widow

after the death of Mikhail Bulgakov.

And, of course, the novel was first time published

already after the author's death.

Total Mikhail Bulgakov created several versions of the

novel.

And the first of them was called "The hoof of engineer", then

"Black Magician" and some others.

However, this version author burned in 1930.

This is a very interesting fact, because in the novel

"Master and Margarita" Master - the protagonist of the novel - also

burns his novel.

That is, there is a clear parallel between the caracter

of the novel and Mikhail Bulgakov himself.

After that Mikhail Bulgakov added another line

to his novel, rewriting it from scratch.

There already appears a love story between a Master

and Margarita.

The final title of the novel was chosen only

in 1937, just three years before his death.

The novel "The Master and Margarita" in Russia and the CIS countries has

approximately the same reputation as the "Macbeth" in the UK.

This novel has always been surrounded by some secrets, mysticism,

disputes of critics.

Probably because in the novel takes part the Devil himself!

That is, the Devil is one of the main characters

of the novel.

In general, the novel contains 2 storylines.

The first deals with biblical subjects.

This is a story about the procurator of Judea, Pontius Pilate and Jeshua

Ganotsri, the prototype of which was the biblical story

about procurator of Judea, and Jesus Christ.

The second storyline takes place in the modern

for the writer times in Moscow.

Margarita is a woman, living in an unhappy marriage, who

continues to look for love.

And one day she meets on the street with the Master, and understand,

that he is "the one", the only one, her beloved person.

But the Master had got problems because of his novel,

and to save him, Margarita goes to a deal with the Devil

and becomes a witch.

You see, that the story is really very unusual and entangled

by bunch of mystical moments.

Therefore, the reading will be very exciting!

I am sure that this novel will be liked by fans of

mysticism, philosophy, as well as to all the romantic natures,

to incorrigible romantics.

In this novel, you will be able to see flights over Moscow on a broomstick,

speaking black cat,

"So what? It seems that I am asking in the Russian language: so what?"

You will be able to look inside to the arguing neighbors window,

you will see the demon Azazello that can walk

through the mirrors.

"-Azazello - I'm going!"

will visit the session of black magic in the Moscow theater "Var'yete".

and even at a ball at the Devil himself!

Many filmmakers believe that the novel "The Master and

Margarita" is cursed.

They tried to film it many times.

The first director, very known in the Soviet

Union received reject from the government, another director had

insufficient funding.

The third in a dream, as he said, saw the wife of

Mikhail Bulgakov, who said that the screening won't be done.

In '71 came the first film version of the novel.

In '89 came even four-part series.

Then in '94 it was filmed the 3rd version of the film,

however, it was released only in 2011 (can you

imagine it?), and all because of disagreements between the director and producer

of the movie.

The most famous and successful, in my opinion, and the opinion of

many critics, the film adaptation of the novel is a series

"Master and Margarita" 10 series, which was released in

2005 by director Vladimir Bortko.

However, even here was not without mystery, because

within 10 years after the filming, died

18 people who played in this series.

And the actors were of different ages, and the death of some

of them it was really sudden.

And iactually in the novel "The Master and Margarita" the Devil himself

says these words: "Yes, man is mortal.

But this would be not so bad.

The bad news is that he sometimes suddenly mortal.

That is the problem".

This novel combines many topics, such as

important social issues like that all the evil in the world

is done by the people themselves, and not, for example, by the Devil

or demons; philosophical issues such as "is there

a life after death?" or

question of faith in God; and religious issues, wherein

biblical themes (Bible stories) are shown

on the part of human feelings and human

behavior, so the pictures from the Bible as if anew

come to life "in the hands" of Bulgakov; of course there is very

strong love theme, it is the power of love of Master

and Margarita and what sacrifices they are ready to make for

each other.

I believe that this novel can be easily put on the one

shelf with such well-known works of the world

literature as "Hell" (Inferno) by Dante Alighieri, "Faust" by Johann

Wolfgang Goethe and "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare. Now

let's look at some famous quotes from this

novel.

I think that they will not leave you indifferent.

So, as you can see, the novel "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov

is worthy of your attention. And

If this review called your interest, you can

read this book by yourself. If

you already have a good level of Russian language, you can

read the book in original. If

you are not completely confident in your abilities (reading in original), then look at

the link that I left below the video - there you will find

parallel translation of the novel. What

does it mean? In

one column there is the original text in Russian,

in the other one - literary translation into English.

So, when you have a problem with the translation, you

will be able todeal with the problem quickly, taking a look

to the English translation. This is

a very good variat of reading. If

you are a beginner, or do not want to read "The Master

and Margarita "in the original, but still interested

in this novel, of course, you can read it in translation.

I think that reading in translation - it is absolutely normal,

because, if I would not read the translations, I

would never have met wonderful books

from around the world: from Japan, from England, from France. Therefore

you absolutely easily can read the translation of the novel

to your langiage. And

of course, I can also recommend you to watch the TV series "The Master

and Margarita" from 2005 (link also can be found under this

video).

This will be a very good practice of listening.

Of course, do not expect a super cool special effects in this

series, because maybe it was not enough

of the budget or may be in 2005 there was no yet good enought

technology, but still the game of actors there

terrific, and the film adaptation is really worthy.

And that is all for today.

Write in the comments about your impressions of the novel, if

you've already read it, or if you just start to read it.

Because, really, the opinions about this book diverge,

and I am interested in YOUR opinion.

Also, please write in the comments whether you want to

hear other reviews about Russian literature.

I wish you good luck in learning the Russian language, reading

Russian literature, and hope to see you at our future

video lessons.

Good luck to everyone!

Bye-bye! :)

It's About the Journey - Biking to Key West EP3 - Duration: 10:53.

As most of your know, Alex dislocated his shoulder a few months ago.

We had to figure out how to pop it back in on the side of a trail.

Since then, Alex's main goal has been to not fuck his shoulder up.

I slowed down, Alex wasn't near his brake levers, and you know the rest of the story.

Collisions are always worse for the rider at the back.

Luckily we'd be back on the road after a breather.

Time to get moving again.

We needed to find a campsite and bad.

Deep in the keys, there's no such thing as motels, only beach resorts.

One night's sleep for a king's ransom was out of the question.

He didn't have to tell us twice.

It

was too dark to get any meaningful footage, but

I did get some stills.

We pitched Alex's backpacking tent and laid head to toe like sardines.

It was damp, hot, and god forbid one of us passed gas there was no breeze.

It's a miracle either of us slept, but outside the tent was a hungry cloud of mosquitos waiting

to chew our balls off.

Alex and I share a distain for mosquitos and a love of coffee, so at the crack of dawn

we efficiently dismantled our campsite and got the f*ck out of there as fast as possible.

We barely even noticed the amazing waterfront view.

After drinking coffee and scarfing down bagels, we stopped at the gas station for PRD's.

It was there that I shot this video with my cell phone to send to a friend.

When installing my rack I ended up with some extra hardware, which I stashed in my patch

kit just in case.

I'm glad I did, because we were about to brave the final challenge of the journey;

the Seven Mile Bridge.

You can take a wild guess at how long that is.

With some of the best scenery in the keys, it's easy to imagine the motorists instagramming

instead of driving.

What's worse, the shoulder was littered with debris.

If either of us flatted, it would be a terrifying repair.

Aside from the speeding cars and crappy surface, the 7 mile bridge was pretty spectacular.

The adjacent bridge was built in the early 20th century as part of the overseas railway.

It's still open to pedestrians, although they can't make it all the way across.

There was light at the end of the tunnel.

We pressed on, and stopped about 20 miles from Key West to fuel up.

It was there that we met

this guy.

With a fresh six pack and lit cigarette, he tore ass down the greenway on his lithium

ion tricycle.

For all we knew, he was the richest man on the planet.

We set out again, but didn't get far.

15 miles from Key West, Alex's tire finally flatted.

But get this, it wasn't our sidewall repair that gave out!

Still, it was time to say goodbye to this old Panaracer.

We had only 15 miles left, but it felt like 100.

Our taints were in critical condition.

We were taking breaks to coast standing up.

The gruel was real.

It didn't feel real.

On Wednesday morning we left my house in Fort Lauderdale on our bicycles, to find ourselves

90 miles from Cuba two days later.

Alex had the sense to bring flip flops.

I actually got up during our meal and bought flip flops at the adjacent store—the cheapest

ones they had were $40, but taking off my shoes was priceless.

We pedaled to Key West for the experience—the journey.

Maybe it wasn't the most enjoyable journey, but we had a lot to show for it.

You learn the most when you encounter some adversity.

You'll never tell an interesting story about the time you rode the bike lane without incident,

or the time you reserved a campsite and stayed there without a problem.

Whether you're a mountain biker, a road biker, hiker, a climber, or whatever, it really

is about the journey and the things you encounter along the way.

Thanks for riding with me today, and I'll see you next time.

The Big Secrets HGTV Stars Tried To Hide - Duration: 5:26.

HGTV has assembled one of the most popular groups of reality stars on TV, from friendly

Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines to the charming and charismatic Property Brothers,

Drew and Jonathan Scott.

But as the shocking separation and divorce of Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina

El Moussa showed, sometimes what we see on TV isn't always the whole truth.

Here are some other secrets HGTV stars tried to hide.

Flip or Flop flimflam

Everyone wants to learn how to make it big in the house flipping world, and some HGTV

stars may be taking advantage of that fact.

According to the Associated Press, some fans of Flip or Flop said they were victims of

a "bait and switch" by the show's stars, Tarek and Christina El Moussa, who failed to show

up at a Success Path seminar they advertised, instead sending representatives to pressure

attendees into paying up to $40,000 for more classes.

Promises of wealth didn't pan out, these students say, but someone got rich — the parent company

of Success Path, Zurixx, reportedly made $130.1 million in 2015.

The Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau have received more than 200 combined

complaints related to the parent company since 2013.

Rehab Addict relapse

Rehab Addict star Nicole Curtis built her reputation by successfully renovating old

houses in Minnesota and Michigan.

But she also has at least one high profile failure.

As part of a deal to buy a house on Minneapolis's north side for just $2, Curtis promised to

renovate the home within the year.

That was in 2012 — but the house is still unfinished as of the making of this video

thanks to a dispute with her contractor, with Curtis reportedly owing back taxes on the

property.

Curtis posted on her Facebook page that it's "not worth" her time to sort out the issues

with her contractor, while the city is considering legal action against her.

More legal woes

Public spats with dodgy contractors are just the tip of the legal iceberg for Curtis.

In 2015, she was apparently the victim of a robbery, which she initially claimed was

a failed carjacking attempt.

Later that year, she was involved in a nasty custody dispute with Shane Maguire, the father

of her son, Harper.

Maguire sued her, and Judge Lisa Langton even threatened her with a jail sentence if she

didn't pay expenses incurred and attorney fees related to their boy.

The Detroit News also reported that "custody filings detail a contentious parenting fight

involving a private eye, a midnight screaming match and make-up sex."

Curtis in turn accused Maguire of exposing their son to "extreme violence and danger"

by taking Harper to a Black Lives Matter demonstration, and she made charges of intimidation against

Maguire.

And while all that was going on, Curtis's own mother, Joan B. Curtis, filed for a personal

protection order against her daughter, alleging that Nicole had threatened her in "mental

fits of rage."

A judge denied the protection order, but advised Curtis to stay away from her parents anyway.

Yikes!

Fixer Upper's major downers

In 2016, Chip and Joanna Gaines got involved in a bit of a public relations kerfuffle after

appearing in a video alongside the pastor of their church — who had previously sermonized

against same sex marriage.

In response, both the Gaines and HGTV issued statements asserting there would be no discrimination

against the LGBTQ community on the show.

That controversy overshadowed news that in 2012, the couple was sued by the city of Waco

for nearly $25,000 in unpaid property taxes.

After getting at least one extension from the city, and from McLennan County, to which

they also owed about $3,500, the Gaines were finally able to finish paying off their debts

in 2014.

"Whoo hoo!

Well ---"

"One more time!"

"Alright!"

Love It or List it or loathe it

Love It Or List It offers homeowners a choice at their big reveal: To accept their current

home, which has been renovated by designer and co-host Hilary Farr, or to move into a

new home procured by realtor and co-host David Visentin.

But a North Carolina couple that appeared on the show in 2015, made their own, third

choice: suing the show's producers and its construction company for damaging their house,

for misusing funds, for unfair trade practices, and for performing other substandard work.

And that's not all:

"It also claims most of the episode was staged and the stars of the show were merely actors

playing the roles of designer and realtor."

For its part, HGTV has denied the allegations.

Street fighting man

Nobody was arrested, detained or even mildly injured, but Property Brothers star Jonathan

Scott did earn himself some minor street cred by getting into a bar fight in Fargo, North

Dakota, in April 2016.

In town with his brother to speak at a design conference, Jonathan later visited Dempsey's

Public House and resisted leaving the establishment after staff told him to scram around closing

time, according to the Daily Mail.

After being escorted out, Scott returned with more stubborn behavior, and an employee resorted

to using a choke hold in order to remove him again.

Scott reportedly complained to police about the choke hold, but cops didn't see enough

evidence to charge anyone with any offense.

Perhaps worst of all, Jonathan was quoted by a staff member as saying, "Do you know

who I am?" when asked to surrender his drink.

That's not a good look on anyone.

Why DC Won't Make A Robin Movie - Duration: 5:20.

For DC Comics fans, hopes have been growing that Robin — Batman's legendary partner

in crime fighting — might get his own solo movie someday.

After all, Warner Bros. is hard at work adapting tons of DC Comics characters for appearances

in its shared cinematic universe.

If they're gonna give Aquaman his own movie, no character's really out of the question

at this point.

And Robin's actually one of the most popular and visible DC Comics characters ever!

It's tough to go very far without seeing our favorite spandex sidekick on TV, whether it's

Teen Titans Go, Young Justice or in DC's animated movies like Batman vs. Robin, and Justice

League vs. Teen Titans — or even as one of the featured characters in 2017's Lego

Batman Movie.

"Riiiip!

That's better!"

He's even been named the second best sidekick ever — right behind Ed McMahon!

"What an exciting idea!"

(audience laughs)

But just don't get too excited.

While Robin-related miracles can happen — Batman did eventually let him wear pants — the

truth is that DC has probably already killed the chance of a Robin movie.

And it didn't even require a crowbar!

He's already dead

Perhaps the most direct reason DC isn't going to make a Robin movie is that, well...the

character's already been killed.

Robin's DC movie-verse death was first hinted at in Batman v Superman, and then mentioned

outright in Suicide Squad.

Now, Batman goes through Robins like tissues, so it's entirely possible that Warner Bros.

could pick up from one of the nearly half-dozen other characters who've been the Boy — or

Girl — Wonder.

But that inflicts its own set of headaches...

Which Robin to choose?

While Batman has pretty much always been Bruce Wayne — with only a few brief exceptions

— being Robin is basically the equivalent of a superhero internship.

There was Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne, who's actually

Bruce Wayne's murder-happy son.

Each choice would bring a certain amount of baggage and convoluted backstory.

And no matter the choice, it'll probably annoy some segment of comic book readers whose favorite

Robin wasn't picked.

Too much backstory

But let's pretend that Warner Bros. decides that movie Batman does need a movie Robin.

The fact that Robin's already been killed before the events of DC's new movies complicates

things even further.

Is the dead Robin Jason Todd, mirroring his comic book death at the Joker's hands?

Was it Dick, the first Robin — or has he already graduated to solo hero status as Nightwing?

What's the best way to introduce a living version of Robin into DC's movies without

first delving into the twists and turns of continuity?

Bringing in a new Robin would be complicated enough in a Batman movie.

Don't hold your breath on a solo outing.

Boy, wonder how the fans really feel...

Perhaps the most direct and blunt reason that there won't be a Robin movie is that, well,

plenty of people may not actually want it after all.

And there's proof.

When people talk about how Jason Todd was killed by the Joker, that's only half true.

In fact, the Joker had some accomplices — 5,343 comic book fans, to be exact.

In 1988, DC Comics put Jason into mortal jeopardy at the end of an issue, then included a 1-900

number — y'know, the kind that costs money to call — to decide his fate.

Even though only 72 more fans voted to kill him off than those who called to keep him

alive, the fact that there wasn't an overwhelming response for him to live kind of says something

about how much fans seemed to actually care about Robin in general.

And that's not all.

Think about the fact that there have been eight live action films starring Batman since

1989, and only two of them — Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, widely known as the

crappiest two that fans hate the most — featured the Boy Wonder.

Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy performed just fine without the added benefit of Robin.

And, no, shoehorning a Robin reference into the end of Dark Knight Rises doesn't count.

"You should use your full name, I like that name...Robin."

UGHHHHH.

Teamwork

Finally, and most importantly, the idea of a Robin solo movie is pretty much impossible

when you think about it.

Since it's pretty much baked into his character from the start, Robin just works better as

part of a team, whether it be in the Dynamic Duo, or in a larger group like the Teen Titans.

Sidekicks are usually just reflections of the primary hero — so what would a Robin

movie be without Batman?

Robin's first solo comic series in the '90s shows Batman sending Tim Drake off to France

to learn kung fu — because everyone knows the best ninjas come from Paris.

Robin's next solo series left him in Gotham City to fight the Joker alone — while Batman

took off to Rio de Janeiro.

Would a Robin solo movie somehow contrive to get Batman out of the picture in the same

way?

Just picture it.

"Uh, hi Commissioner, it's me, Robin.

Sorry, Batman's on vacation this week, so he can't solve the horrible serial murderers

plaguing the city.

Umm, but hey at least he'll get a good tan."

"What?!

Surely you must be jesting!"

"No, I'm not jesting, sorry.

But, like, I'll totally do the voice if you think that'll help.

*Ahem*: I am the night!

I am Batmaaaan!"

"Ohhh...catastrophic!"

At this rate, it'd be surprising if Robin ever shows up in the DC Extended Universe

at all, let alone in a starring role in his own superhero flick.

Then again, someone thought it was a good idea to make a movie about Superman knock-off

Steel, starring a rapping basketball player:

"It's hammer time!"

"Aahh!!"

So, really, anything's possible.

Little Ant's Big Plan

Little Ant loved to read. Little Ant was often teased.

"Ants don't read. Ants must feed. Ants collect the food they need."

Little Ant would read all day, he'd read and read the day away.

The other ants took what they found to store for winter underground.

His mum and dad got really mad, and Little Ant felt really bad.

In autumn when the leaves fall down, the ants must keep food underground.

The Queen wants food to fill the store, so all the ants must work some more.

Little Ant begins to shout about a place he read about.

"A restaurant is what we need, a place where people go to feed.

It says so in the books I read."

The ants go marching one by one.

They march into the setting sun.

And Little Ant said "Hey, there's one!"

The ants go marching one by one, carrying a burger, carrying a bun.

When they return the Queen is glad.

The stores are full.

They cheer like mad.

Ant gets hugs from mum and dad.

His baby sister takes his hand "Now I think I understand."

"The way you love to read a book ... Makes me want to take a look."
