FanQuest Video - Duration: 4:51.

I was about 7 or 8 years old. and we were flipping through TV channels,

and it was the golden droid in the desert.

That image is seared into my mind.

That's the first movie I remember seeing, and it was the first time that whole world

became exposed to me, and its been...that's it!

My brother was a huge gamer, and he loved reading fantasy books.

So basically I wanted to be exactly like him, so I liked all the stuff that he liked,

of course.

I realized that I really loved it, not just because he did, but because it was awesome.

My parents took me to see movies that I know they didn't like.

The Empire Strikes Back, the Wrath of Khan...

These are movies that they brought me to as a 4 and 5 year old that I loved.

It's interesting, I asked my mom years later, "Why did you guys take me to those movies?"

and she said "It's just something we thought you would like."

So from there was born my love of science fiction, which was really my first fandom.

There was just these things that I liked.

And I never realized what a geek or a nerd was, but apparently I was one.

It took me until I was about 25 to adopt the title, I was like

"wait a second, people who like Star Trek are called this."

Star Wars Nerds came out of another podcast I was doing in which we just started talking

about Star Wars more and more.

It's my chance to express my love of this film franchise and everything that surrounds it

I've seen all the Star Trek iterations.

"KHAAAAN!"

Cause it works.

I just thought it was apropos, because it's not only my last name, but it's also one of

my loves, I love Star Trek.

And it just kinda works, and it's cool and I constantly get people, I can see them in

my rearview mirror taking pictures.

We had a choir at comic con, and we have a podcast and we have a magazine, and we're

just always trying to be involved in the community.

This last year we had about 30 people, all marching through the aisles of a con, singing

everything from "Spongebob Squarepants" to Blue Suede's "Hooked on a Feeling" from

Guardians of the Galaxy.

I think we're known as the con carolers now at this point.

I love each one of these things enough that I want to celebrate it all the time.

And that's what we're getting at with this event.

We want to create an event that celebrates all of these fandoms.

We want to make it all about an experience.

The idea that you can go to any con and get anybody's autograph, and, I mean, then it's

just a matter of which one you don't have and that's the one that gets brought.

But if you go and there's a unique experience that you would never experience anywhere else.

Like if you had the chance of going on stage and reading a script of an anime with your

favourite voiceover actor, how amazing would that be?

We want that to be super interactive and exciting for everyone that attends, whether it be a

vendor, and artist, an exhibitor, or an attendee.

Or event the celebs.

We want to bring in celebrity guests, people who are a part of these media properties,

TV shows, films, comic books, novels.

So we want to bring in all types of people who help create these things that we love

so much.

I think what's great about this con is that fans can get involved.

And they can be a part of not just attending it but how it actually develops and be a part

of that process.

I think that's a really, really exciting part about FanQuest.

What we want FanQuest to be is an event that celebrates fandom in all these different ways.

People who come to FanQuest are going to get good value for their admission.

Certainly you can come in and shop and find some good items, and that's going to be something

that a lot of people are going to want to do but we also want to give people the opportunity

to experience the con and have a lot of fun without having to worry about spending a lot

of money.

If you want to be involved in this particular event and you want to see it develop and execute

the way that you want to see it, I think this is a fantastic opportunity to bring something

new and fresh here and to really make it your own.

The whole point is that this is by the fans, for the fans, with the fans, and so that's

what we want to be.

We want to be open and transparent, and fans along with you along the way.

I think it's going to be a great event.

I'm so excited, I hope you can be a part of it and contribute to our Kickstarter so we

can get this off the ground.

Second! Put some hydrangeas on the oasis

I am gonna be in japan till 25th of December and I will come back in korea by an airplane on 25th night flight

And when I come back it is 12 o'clock,so chritsmas is already over ...

Spending christmas with my members in japan is meaningful and also with fans!!!

Next I will put rose(Dominica rose)!
