in this video we will talk about five common mistake that you are making in
video editing even if you are a pro editor let's talk about that what's up
everybody this is Sabir from WS Production and welcome to my first video
on this channel no matter what type of video content you are creating you are
making but editing is the most challenging part of video creation
surprisingly common mistake happens even if you are a pro editor I will talk
about those mistakes which are unnoticeable
I call it seamless mistakes the first mistake that you are making is poor
audio mix now what is audio mix audio mix is the combination of the levels of
different audios in your video for example the level of your music the
level of your voices the level of your SFX and all these things these are called
audio mix practically in every video there are two type of audios one is called
voices or vocals and another is music the common way to poor audio mix that when
you increase the level of music on your vocals it will overpower the vocals and
the viewer might miss the message in the video
this is poor audio mix because the music level is too much high
the simple solution ride your music level slightly slower than you think you
should the second common mistake is improper pacing now we'll be thinking of
what a pace, this is not face FACE I mean face this is pace PACE music plays very
important role in a video it creates emotion it drives the mood of a video
if the video is sad or emotional you have to put a slow and ponding music
with it but if the video is something like an action is happening I mean like
a battle is there are war is there so you have to put an upbeat music within
because it creates an action for you and the audience will feel the action that
you are creating in that video the best example of the slow-paced video is
from interstellar if you look at this shot the camera is only from one angle
and no cuts are there the music is slow and you will feel that
emotions the actor wants to create this is slow-paced video now if we look at to the
shot from the Batman Arkham Origins
there are no details your only focus is on the characters every single shot is
less than a second or two the music is upbeat music and everything
happening in fast motion the camera is shaky or the camera angles
are too much and you feel that action so on set when you're shooting keep in mind
that what type of shot you are creating whether it is slow-paced are fast paced
you have to look at these things and after that you have to start your
editing according to you a soundtrack according to your music and according to
the pace of the video now the third mistake that you're making commonly is
flash frame flash frame is very common mistake that most of the editor make it
happens you are not making it but it happens you will not see it but when you
render your video you will feel that whoa there's flash frame in it flash
frame is a black or extra short frame between two shots when you are combining
it if you look at this video there is a black glitch in the center of
it this is flash frame and it happens
accidentally now if we look it to this shot there is one extra frame
between two shots which make the audience that something isn't right
something is not happening this is very very small thing but it makes your video
down to the garbage so how to prevent this I always use adobe premiere for my
video editing purposes when I drag and drop the video to the timeline I always
use ripple delete yeah of course it's a bit long process but it will remove
flash frames from your video you can also check flash frame when you zoom in
your timeline you will see that flash frame now what is the fourth one it is
called a tacky transition most of the new editors most of the fresh editor
make these type of things I mean they use some wacky some weird transitions
between the shots like 3d spin like a spiral like a Jaws all these thing these
transition they use in middle of the videos which kill professionalism in
your video always dissolve and main cuts I mean hard cuts should be a mainstay
for the transitions if you're creating a slow paced video use dissolve transition
and if you're creating an action then we use hard cuts between the shots
sometime and like in comedy scenes these tacky transition helps but if you want
to make your video professional you need to flush out the wipes 3d spins
jaws and the spiral transitions now the most important
common mistake is incomplete transition this is the fifth one incomplete
transition is very common mistake that sometime happens you are not doing it
when your focus is on audio correction or color correction or another part of
the video you will miss this incomplete transition and this is a weird thing in
your video because it also something like a flash frame it creates a subtle
feelings for the audience now what is incomplete transition when you put
transition between two shots before the completion of a transition the other
shot appears in that shot and it looks like a hard cut the frames which appear
before the completion of a transition these frames are called ghost frames
the solution for incomplete transition is you have to make your outbound video
a bit longer or a bit shorter or you have to make your transition
timing a little shorter and there will be no incomplete transition and the
video will look good so my question from you people did you
