FLEET of ET UFOs Materialize On VIDEO & NASA's TESS Satellite Makes A HUGE Discovery! 9/26/2018 - Duration: 22:12.

hey guys how's it going Richard here with Alien Bros today I have two very

strange UFO sightings for you guys and then afterwards a news update regarding

NASA's new test Planet hunting satellite which we reported on a few days ago in a

recent video only this time we even update in regards to the satellites

findings and a bunch of other news surrounding not only tests but a lot of

other crazy stuff in the publicly known search for extraterrestrial life and

what it likely means for all of us anyway

let's go ahead and get into today's UFO sightings the first UFO setting I have

for you guys comes to us from Portland Oregon and it was captured on September

18th of 2014 but was not submitted to anyone for

public viewing until September 20th of 2018 just two days ago it shows one orb

UFO multiplied into several and I would rather not spoil the rest for you guys

so I'll go ahead and play the footage for you now because it speaks for itself

there's like five things bros

- what is that

dude they're stopping they are stopping

religious stop lenses let me get your house bro

low-key that is freaky can't you're about to be anal probe son not even

kidding bro

yeah yeah guys so just as I mentioned this sighting does indeed speak for

itself and he quite frankly has me at a loss

for words here I've never had a signing sent in to me word one orb UFO

multiplied into several and then performed impossible formations in the

sky this is clearly no flares this is clearly no skydivers with flares this is

something truly impossible for any modern aircraft no drone can multiply in

this way nor would they be large enough to be

seen so brightly from that distance this sighting is just something else what

also gets me is the way the orb looks before it multiplies it almost looks

like a large fireball when I first started watching this clip I almost

dismissed the case entirely as flares due to the fiery appearance of the first

door however the second it multiplied my jaw dropped

once those orbs started creating formations and some of them flew up

instead of dropping down my jaw hit the floor this sighting to me is incredibly

impressive and I only wish I could have been there to see this unfold in person

have you guys can come up with an explanation for this then please do I

will be honest I don't think there is a conventional explanation for this and I

believe this source very well caught something extraterrestrial here it

almost seems like a Maine mothership sending out Scout ships the source of

the sighting spotted these objects while hanging out at a park in Portland Oregon

that night when they saw the strange fireball like orb in the sky it caught

their attention immediately and completely stunned the witness and his

friends when the aircraft started to multiply into several more unknown

flying objects that I do believe is certainly several alien crafts the

witness noted that the general lack of speed exhibited from the objects was

strange usually a plane or a helicopter even

when viewed from far away are obviously still going from one point to another

and these objects clearly do not rather they stop immediately in midair after

aligning themselves into the strange slanted line formation the source also

stated that the lights themselves were fairly nondescript due

the distance of the object from them they seem to be just very large

fireballs of light slowly trailing through the sky the lights were so

closely packed together that when they split into six separate lights it seemed

as though one very large sphere had simply split into several parts and the

source is not wrong in the sentiment either the footage very clearly shows a

single object at first and these other objects seem to be being released by

that single larger orb even stranger as then when the orbs make

the triangle formation they take the shape of what is very clearly the setup

of the typical tr-3b and the one orb in the middle completely disappeared before

taking up the strange line like formation I won't tell you guys what to

think because that is not what we do here on this channel however in my

personal opinion what we are seeing here is what I believe firmly to be multiple

extraterrestrial crafts and this footage shows something very much out of this

world this is just my personal opinion and you guys should come up with your

own based on the evidence and I implore you guys to leave your thoughts on it

down in the comments and let me and everyone else know when you think these

materialize strange objects in this footage are all right so I have another incredibly

strange one for you guys this one was captured or Medellin Colombia on June

24th of 2018 and this was as well just recently submitted for review the source

of the footage was on vacation there and it shows this stationary black

disc-shaped object hovering in the skies over the city followed by a second one

which appears out of nowhere now what is really strange about this sighting is

that the source is samsung galaxy s9+ his camera which he was using to

film the object actually started to glitch throughout the entirety of the

recording as if the object was having an effect on of some sort now there have

been a lot of reports of UFOs affecting technology and putting off some sort of

frequency or signal that causes our technology to malfunction

however this is the first time that I have received a video of it happening

luckily the sources phone did not shut off entirely and we were able to receive

about five minutes worth of footage of the object I'll go ahead and play the

strange footage for you guys now and we could talk more on it afterwards alright

here it is

this is zoomed in

just still

we'll get it in the air

two minutes they just sitting there

zoom out

it appears like it has a all around

definitely looks like a disc shape

just hovering that was a bird

there's nothing to do with that object

very interesting

now what would be really interesting if it suddenly took off

then that would certainly be some sort of

right now it's just hovering

once again I'll zoom out

to better know how my

maybe the cloud went in front of it because they barely see it I see it

cloud went in front of it what's this

there's two of them

this is definitely aerial phenomena

okay we got something alright so as I mentioned this is some pretty creepy

stuff and it just seems odd that the first object would show up out of

nowhere and immediately the sources phone started to glitch followed by the

second object which again seemingly popped up out of nowhere the source was

on the second floor of the hotel he was staying at when he looked out the window

up into the sky and saw what he described as a black oval / tick-tack

shaped object just hovering silently in place within the cloud bank he said it

was difficult to gauge the distance of the craft and immediately grabbed his

Samsung Galaxy S9+ and started recording it and almost immediately his

phone's camera started to malfunction the witness also said the object was

pitch black but there was a glow outlining the object after about four

minutes the object began to fade away into the clouds the clouds were large

and far away but their size gives us an idea of exactly how large these two

objects are despite the distance and it is clear that they are both very large

they are far too high in the sky to be drones and having been an owner of a

samsung galaxy s7 for a while now I can state with confidence that this is not

normal behavior for a Samsung product and I would highly doubt then s9 + would

have this sort of issue without some kind of technological interference from

the objects in the footage the source also made it a point to me in his

statement that these two objects look remarkably similar to the f-18 FLIR

Thermal gun camera footage released by the apartment of Defense last December I

think he may be right in his comparison although it was hard for me to tell if

what we are seeing here is a tic-tac shaped craft or a disc shaped one either

way they are very clearly not of this earth

and I believe this source likely captured two alien crafts here there was

just too much strangeness regarding this case and the evidence leads me to think

that what he captured may indeed be an alien craft possibly messing with the

magnetic field around the area and that could explain the glitching a source

experienced with his phone's camera this is some brilliant UFO footage here and I

would like to know what exactly it was that these craft were up to were they

simply hanging out and spying on the people down below or did they have a

specific target and abduction cases these crafts will follow

and keep track of people that they selected for repeated abductions and a

way similar to how our scientists will tag and track animals it seems that they

are keeping track of subjects they selected to study us and I think that

what we are seeing in this footage may very well be these extraterrestrial

entities tracking subjects that they are studying and performing these

experiments on All Things Considered I don't know how comfortable I feel

knowing that we are so primitive that we are studied like wildlife and with how

incredibly dark some abduction reports have been in the past some going as far

as suspected abductees being found dead drained of all blood with precisely cut

surgical looking wounds clearly made while the victim was still alive it

makes me worry that some of these entities may have no regard for human

life and no empathy for the pain of their victims which to me is troublesome

since we have no way of knowing who or what is in these craft watching and

studying us from above I am NOT saying that all these entities are malicious in

nature but knowing that the evidence suggests that there is some that are is

troubling for me and should be for anyone with empathy for these past

victims with all the past evidence that we have shared on this channel

suggesting that some of our governments the US and Russia especially know both

the existence of these unknown craft and the entities piloting them and it makes

me wonder if they are knowingly allowing this phenomenon to occur to be honest it

wouldn't surprise me that they did and there is evidence from past incidents

such as the Tuskegee experiments along with other government-funded experiments

which show the government can have just as little regard for human life as these

entities and this again is troublesome let me know what you guys think about

this stuff down in the comments what do you guys think these objects the source

captured are and if you guys that are new here interested in learning more

about these abduction cases and the ties to our government that they seem to have

with these extraterrestrials then check out our past videos where we go into

great detail on the subject and get yourself up-to-date on the information

all of it is very strange and the cover-up needs to end all right guys

let's go ahead and get into the news that I brought up earlier it seems that

NASA's test satellite has finally been back images of its first two alien

worlds test stands for the transitioning exoplanet survey satellite and it is

essentially NASA's newest tool that they're using

find alien worlds and star systems closest to our own TESS is also the

successor to NASA's Kepler space telescope which is currently nearing the

end of its nearly 10 year lifespan we report on tests and what it is in a

recent video from a couple of days ago and I'll be sure to link that video at

the end of this one in the suggestive box so you guys can learn more deeply

about this new NASA satellite NASA's TESS satellite in two years time will

scan more than two hundred thousand stars and a fraction of the universe for

brief dips and brightness the first alien world found dubbed Pi Men C was found

an extremely close orbit to the star pieman say in the constellation Mensa

NASA estimates the alien planet and Sprite star set roughly 60 light-years

away from Earth some 350 trillion miles away this may seem like an

extraordinarily long distance away however it is actually incredibly close

in terms of cosmic distance something I also found interesting is a tweet from

NASA stating that and I quote PI men say star is visible in the night sky the

planet's mass and radius show a water-like density and it's the system

second known planet the other has 10 times Jupiter's mass in orbits every 5.7

years they are suggesting here that this planet likely has water on it and a key

ingredient for life that could mean that there may be life on the planet in some

form the second alien world test discovered is even closer to us we're

bringing around a red dwarf star only 49 light years away or 288 trillion miles

from Earth the planet is comparable in size to earth but is slightly larger and

is a much shorter orbital period around its star this planet orbits LHS 3844 a

M dwarf star exactly 49 light years away as mentioned earlier and it were it's at

every 11 hours the finding is currently being reviewed by scientists that are

calling it a hot earth NASA however claims that the heat of these planets is

likely too high for any form of life to a form there which to me sounds quite

contradictory to findings here on our own planet regarding extremophiles

organisms that can survive an absurdly high or absurdly low temperatures

knowing this I have a hard time believing that there is a zero chance of

either of these worlds containing at least some form of life and I think that

NASA likely knows this as well of course they would not allow us to know about

the planets where there actually is some

form of intelligent life since they have been covering up the existence of things

like UFOs in space structures found on the moon and other planets like Mars for

a very long time now and I think that this is nothing more than their way of

slowly drip feeding us information in order to eventually disclose the

existence of intelligent life to us all as Lewis Elizondo ex head of the

Pentagon's advanced Aeronautics threat identification program said disclosure

is likely already occurring slowly but surely although the

government would never allow the release of that information all at once they

would need to ease the public into it to avoid being labeled as liars and risk

angering the public nASA has known the truth about the existence of intelligent

life for years now and test seems to be the perfect addition for NASA to slowly

release more and more information regarding world so close to ours than an

advanced M of species likely could transverse the distance between us and

them if they wanted to visit this world and I am very confident in saying they

definitely have and they have been doing it for a very long time now to further

lament these claims regarding disclosure scientists are now saying they believe

extraterrestrials may be in our galactic backyard and they are on the brink of

discovering it Lewis Darnell an astrobiologists at the

University of Westminster says the huge advances in technology will lead to the

discovery of aliens within our solar system and the not so distant future the

astrobiologists which is a scientist who hunts for life in the cosmos says if

organisms can survive in extremely harsh conditions on earth there is no reason

why they could not survive on other worlds further driving home my point

that even with the harsh conditions on other worlds that NASA scientists claim

are inhospitable for life they are likely not being honest with us we are

not the only form of living organism there is and with the discoveries of

these creatures that can survive in such extreme conditions there is no reason in

my opinion not to believe that these types of organisms could not have

evolved into something intelligent on another world that would be inhospitable

to us life seems to be able to adapt to almost any conditions and I think there

is a huge chance that tests may be NASA's new way of letting us know just

how close to the truth we actually are what do you guys think is this the

latest way for NASA to finally start disclosing the truth about this subject

because I sure do think it is in the end though only time will tell

anyway that's all I have for you guys today but stay tuned because there is a

lot more coming and we will have it posted very soon if you like the video

Fast Forward - 2003 BMX video - Alex Jumelin - Duration: 59:03.

it's artistic when you do it on your own, you create,

that's exactly the case here, you ride alone, nobody helps you.

you must be able to sell yourself, you must have an image.

now, if you wanna be strong, you have to make the hardest things that exist.

it becomes exclusive because it's more and more difficult.

you are introduced to a world where you do whatever you want to and not what people tell you,

you do what you think better for you.

ooh la ! if i do something, i do it for real !

here it's the extreme sports paradise.

it's an assault course to qualify !

I'm not a mad guy, i'm just a guy who wants to have fun.

The day you decide to be pro,

you have to be conscious

that your training day has to change,

from that time you will have to practice every day.

you are always learning tricks and you set yourself some objectives.

"this week i'm gonna learn this trick",

you can't stop riding

because there is always something to learn.

Sometimes i'm tired, flatland plays with your nerves but,

although, i try to ride 4 hours without stopping.

I'm trying to be as serious as possible

i mean, riding seriously 4 hours long…

or more without any stop.

I don't wanna seem pretentious

but i have some easiness to learn tricks.

"flash the camera…"

I've been lucky to learn the real life

and not theory at school

which wouldn't have been useful for me.

When you travel all over the world

and that you find yourself alone

you have to become integrated,

you have to talk to people you don't know.

There, you learn things which will be of use all your life.

When i left school,

i was always with many riders, we were always together and never slept,

we were always riding.

That was really attractive.

It's a world where you do whatever you want to,

what you think good for you.

When i left school to ride

i was like 18,

and i think that nobody at that time won money thanks to BMX in France,

we only had free shoes.

I had never though that 3 years later

i would win like 450$ per months,

that was my first contract.

I never said to myself

"i'm going to live thanks to BMX" when i left school.

I was unmindful of what tomorrow may bring.

Even if i don't win money i will still ride every day…

maybe not… oh yes i still do

cause it's been 10 years that i ride and only 3,5 years that i win money,

so if i ride 9 years without money

it's not to stop if tomorrow doesn't bring me money.

I really like contests because you meet a lot of guys.

The run is boring, the pressure too, i don't manage it, and i'm really frustrated

when i control my tricks on the practice and that during my run i fail.

Anyway, for me, without the contest, there would not be good flatland.

Some people says that some isolated men are the best,

like Paul Osika, Chase,

i met some of these guys

and i didn't find them very happy.

On the contest I see guys that i really love,

we have crazy parties together.

For me, THAT is BMX lifestyle,

it's not about being alone and write poems under a tree…

i'm here to have fun…

for some guys it's a real hassle… i don't wan't that.

When you belong to the pro class,

you ride with guys who have very high level.

That makes you get a little bit discouraged

but you have to wake up quickly because the level always increases.

If you don't recover you feel overtaken,

so you don't have any more pleasure to ride,

this pleasure comes also from the pleasure of being part of the best,

of those who inspire the others.

Some guys make some kind of things that should not exist :

to put double front brake, 4 brakes, 10 brakes !!

Evolution should always remain in the BMX way.

"i should have been fifth, theres no Martty and Vicky here.

I hate shows, i make less and less shows,

besides i try not to make it.

I have made so many stinking shows for people who didn't care.

On 10 shows maybe 1 will give to a young the motivation to ride.

I have started by making " street shows",

we went round with the hat,

we liked it; we lived thanks to it.

no, i'm not afraid but my wheel is loosen,

it's boring !

I consider flatland like art,

as soon as you create it's artistic.

If you do it on your own and you create it's artistic,

that is exactly the case,

you ride alone and nobody helps you,

you create tricks and links.

Even if you don't create huge things,

you create links, you rack your brain,

so it's art.

I really loved this show

because it was a show with many friends, we had fun.

You make 2 or 3 interviews and more you do more people know you,

at the end you are a reference for people,

when they need someone, they call you.

I've got an image they like, with my tattoos,

i think they like it,

but in the BMX world i don't have more tattoos

and more style than the other riders.

Of course, in France, there are many riders who don't have style

but in the US every rider has tattoos, a style…

As soon as i say to myself that my tricks are not every time a success,

i have a mental block whenever there is cameras.

On a contest there is a big psychological part :

you can do very well a trick,

and fail as soon as there is people.

For me the more frustrating in flatland , is to succeed in doing your tricks in different way,

with or without style during practice, and when you are on a contest

you can't do it even with the more stinking style.

Sooo frustrating !

It's a flatland thing that i would never understand.

It's a flatland thing that i would never understand.

I succeed 10/15 times in a raw and for exemple during the X-Games i fail automatically.

If i was a girl

and i saw a guy of 24 riding a young boy bike,

that's what they often think,

this guy would not interest me.

demo against racism, 1,5M people in Paris

everyone will take me for a revolutionary ! I'm not !

We made a photoshoot on a bus stop !

Yes, surrounded by million people

The sponsoring brings money in BMX world,

it makes pressure

between a lot of guy.

Money makes people crazy,

there is jealousy.

As soon as there is 1 or 2 sponsors everybody want them,

cause there is a few, it makes people different and it creates conflicts.

A lot of young guys start BMX thinking they will win money.

I've seen 2 or 3 riders who tell me

that they would like to leave school

and make money thanks to BMX, it's an illusion.

For instance, Alexis (Desolneux) is very strong

but it's hard for him to win money thanks to flatland,

although he's much more stronger

than the guys who claim to live thanks to it very quickly.

It's not about riding level, you have to sell yourself,

have an image, always move - it's all that.

The more you ride, the stronger you become,

the more you become awkward on your bike adjustment

and on the place you ride,

that is to say when you become stronger you become more demanding,

it's a normal thing.

I don't want to have any constraint

regarding the place where i practice or my bike.

Because i've started to ride a long time ago, so now,

i don't want to waste my time because of a dusty floor

or a brake which does not work, it's a waste of time.

When you ride every day

with the best riders of the world

and you ride during long sessions

you realize that the limits of flatland

have not been reached yet.

It becomes so hard cause contrary to the past 2 years

you can't hide behind tricks

more or less difficult,

like to seem to be strong,

if you want to be strong,

you have to make the most difficult trick that exist

and do it in your own way.

Sometimes i feel obliged

to make a good result

because it's an infinite personal satisfaction.

There is nothing better than making a good result

on a contest with all the best riders.

That has nothing to do with sponsors.

You make a good result so you are proud of yourself,

i don't think immediately of sponsors,

besides i don't think of it.

I know that is part of the game,

i'm happy to make it for my sponsors

cause they will be happy for my result,

Every one should do this way : no stress, no foot on the floor.

Last year i've been ejected by the organisation because of

feets on the floor. This Year i will not be fooled.

X-Games generates a lot of money,

in france people don't undersatnd

that BMX is a famous sport in the US.

Dave Mirra is a star like Michael Jordan.

If the X-Games did not exist

BMX would not be same.

At each X-Games,

there are amazing sale of bikes,

it's a huge business,

brands can invest

in the sponsoring in Europe etc.

Without the X-Games,

there would not be all these sponsors

and pros travelling in Europe.

Now, a guy who was never been to US

and who doesn't really like street

(i really like street, dirt, i'm open to the other discipline),

who is fond of flat and who never moves

may not understand that.

I love ramp riding, but i really love street

street riders are so crazy ! I love their spirit.

Stop flatland for street ?!!

It will make me sick.

If i do something else, it's for real !

I don't like doing something just to try,

i'm like this : all or nothing !

BMX is improving more than before,

in the style, in the links,

in the rider's flow

it will never end.

Some guys ask themselves more than me

what i'm gonna do after BMX,

or if i have pressure because of money.

I don't ask myself these questions,

i only wonder when and where i'm gonna ride today

and what trick i'm gonna do.

Audio Hack #1 - Audio mixing for video editors - Duration: 2:12.

Hi! I'm Jente Kater from Voicebooking.com.

When you are a video editor you sometimes have to mix the audio of a video yourself.

And that can be pretty hard.

There is a voice, and there is music, and you have to blend those two together.

Listen for example to this one.

[Audio] "So you're a start-up, you have a fantastic concept, a niche in the market. And now you need…"

A great voice, great music, but you aren't listening to the voice over now.

You are listing to: "What am I hearing over here?"

Okay, there is a simple trick. Just put the music lower.

Yeah, you can do that, but then the magic will be gone.

[Audio] "So you're a start-up, you have a fantastic concept, a niche in the market..."

It's like this, but the magic is gone.

And the music is there to add magic to your video.

Okay, let's put it back to zero, and think of a solution to tackle this one. It's a really simple one.

In a voice over there are frequencies you need to hear to get the message across.

Those frequencies are between 2 and 4K hertz. And if you boost them, the magic will get across better.

So if I am going to the equalizing section of the voice over, over here.

And I am boosting those frequencies here, let's say 3K hertz plus 9 db.

Let's listen to this.

[Audio] "So you're a start-up, you have a fantastic concept…"

It's better, but still the music is a bit loud. And now there's the trick.

Here. I am going to the music, the equalizing section.

I am doing exactly the same, but in a reverse way. So I am going to leave out some frequencies.

Okay, let's listen to it.

[Audio] "So you're a start-up, you have a fantastic concept…"

So, here you are!

I haven't done anything with the faders.

You see, they are still on zero. It sounded like this.

[Audio] "So you're a start-up, you have a fantastic concept…"

And by adding those two:

[Audio] "So you're a start-up, you have a fantastic concept…"

And there it is. The magic is back.

It's one plus one is three.

I hope you enjoyed this video.

Till the next time! Bye.

How to Cosplay For Beginners - The Foam Forge (Video 2) - Duration: 19:41.

Hello, it's Skyler Ostler again, founder of The Build Guild and creator of The Cosplay

Apprentice which through YouTube and live events has empowered Millions to forge their

favorite fandoms.

Welcome to video #2 of my free workshop, The Foam Forge.

- Now in this video, I'm going to teach you

why EVA foam is the best material to start with and how to minimize your learning curve

and maximize your results as you learn new skills and techniques.

And more importantly, this will help you gain confidence in your ability to forge your favorite

fandoms.

So if you're new to cosplay, but you aren't but you aren't sure of the best materials

to get started with, or you're an experienced cosplayer looking to implement techniques,

you'll discover how Cosplayers like you and me can grow your skill set as quickly

as possible - and why it's critical you focus on this right now.

- In video #1, we talked about a process for

creating costumes and props quickly and easily.

I shared how this is going to immediately help you organize the chaos in your builds.

So if you haven't seen that video, go back and watch it now - and then come back to this

one.

And if you are watching this on YouTube or Facebook make sure to click the link to enroll

for free in the full Foam Forge Workshop to get access to all the pdfs and resources that

are available.

- Today I'm going to build on what we discussed

by sharing the #1 thing you must master if you want to minimize your learning curve.

Think of this as your "first step" towards making this happen.

This is an entirely new way of thinking about Cosplay so you'll want to pay close attention.

I'm also going to share with you just how easy it can be to get started with foam.

When you know how to do this, you'll know exactly where to start your journey to Cosplay

mastery.

The goal is to break you free of stagnation.

This way, you'll never again be asking yourself "where do I even start?" and "how can

I learn it all?" which means you'll gain confidence in your ability to forge your favorite

fandoms.

We've got a lot to cover today, so be sure to have your pen and paper ready to take notes

as you follow along.

- Any time you're trying to learn something,

it's inevitable you'll hit roadblocks.

You might've experienced some of them already.

Things like the overwhelming number of techniques and materials to learn, the daunting price

tag on some tools and materials, and even sometimes the lack of instructional options

on a given subject.

Well, here's what I know to be true: if any of this sounds familiar, it's totally

normal.

But if you simply accept this at face value, you'll never get better.

And I know where you're coming from.

I get that it feels like some this is out of your hands.

It's frustrating to come up against these things - again and again.

I've been there myself, and I've seen other Cosplayers go through the same thing.

And it's especially stressful because you know that getting past these challenges are

key in becoming the successful, confident cosplayer you want to be.

So in this video, I'm going to make it easy for you.

I'll help you avoid these usual headaches by showing you the simple steps I follow to

minimize the learning curve of learning any new technique, which will save you lots of

time, frustration, and even a bit of money.

- However, before we go any further, it's

important I bring your attention to something that often gets overlooked as you begin to

see this on a practical level.

And ignoring this virtually guarantees you'll have a tough time trying to grow your Cosplay

skills.

It's easy to think that you have to be a rockstar cosplayer right off the bat in order

to be accepted and feel good about your Cosplay.

This is a dangerous assumption to make, and I don't want you falling into this trap.

But at some point, most of us believe this is true - myself included!

And this big assumption is why so many Cosplayers are struggling.

Coming up, I'll reveal the truth behind the old belief that that you have to be amazing

from the get go.

And more importantly, I'll share with you what you need to know instead.

- So let's get into the meat and potatoes

of today's video starting with Why FOAM!!?!!…

So, you wanna know why foam is the best place to start?

Well, Lemme tell you!

What is it that every beginner cosplayer is looking for when trying to figure out what

materials they should learn and begin using?

A material that is inexpensive but can produce high quality results, a material that doesn't

require a ton of tools especially expensive power tools, something that is versatile and

can achieve a plethora of different textures and material looks, and something that is

easy to work with and can be done even in an apartment.

Would you believe me if I told you that the answer to everyone of those qualifications

is found in Foam?

It is literally a dream material for beginner and advanced cosplayers alike!

It is inexpensive and readily available.

You can get a whole roll of it online for $12 or pick some up at most any hardware store

or craft store.

You have probably seen the professional level quality it can create.

All of these are made out of foam.

I think one of the best aspects of foam, especially for beginners is that all it requires to work

with it is literally 3 things: An X-Acto knife, a Heat Gun, and a Cutting mat.

Minimal tools and so easy to work with you can work with it on the floor in your apartment,

on your kitchen table, or even in a 3ftx3ft closet if your really wanted to and if you

don't get claustrophobic.

Lastly, it can take on a variety of textures, patterns, and be painted to look like almost

any material you can imagine from Leather to Wood to Metal and more!

So, you can take my word for it that it is super easy to work with and is the absolute

best material to learn first and is the best place to start your Cosplay Journey.

But that's all just talk, and talk is cheap (not as cheap as foam is but still cheap)

I'm not going to just tell you it is awesome, that ain't how I roll, so instead, in a

few moments I am going to SHOW YOU how awesome it is.

But first there are a few very important things that I want to cover with you that are going

to make a huge difference in your ability to learn all the techniques involved in forging

with foam and help your confront any fear you may have of failure.

First, let's talk about something we have all likely struggled with and that many of

us here, right now are currently struggling with and allowing it to keep us from becoming

who we want to be and from doing what we want to do.

That's right, you know what I am talking about.

I'm talking about the fear of failing.

Who among us hasn't had the thoughts "What if I can't do my favorite character justice?",

"What if my cosplay is an epic failure and people make fun of me?", or even "I don't

want to try that because I don't think I'll be good enough at it."

If you have had these thoughts or if the fear of failure has held you back from pursuing

your dreams, you are not alone, but right now is where we all team up together and we

look that fear right in the eyes and we say "no more", together we are going to stand

up to this fear of failure and flip it on its head, we will no longer be held back by

it, but rather make it serve us and help us become our best selves.

Failure is going to be our new best friend.

What are you talking about Skyler?

Failure our best friend?

What kinda nonsense is this?

It will all make sense in just a minute so stick with me.

As you take the plunge and start to learn different foam techniques and skills involved

in making wicked sweet cosplays it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you

have to be or should be super good at all of it right away.

As awesome as YouTube and online tutorials can be, we don't live in the Matrix and

unfortunately we can't just have Tank download Cosplay Mastery to our brains.

But luckily, there a few tricks that we can use to help minimize our learning curve and

maximize our results!

Trick number one is Implementation: The number one thing you can do to minimize

your learning curve and perfect any given skill or technique that you learn comes back

to the age old adage of "practice makes perfect."

While it may seem obvious, it is easy to fall into the couch cosplayer slump where you watch

tutorial after tutorial learning different techniques but never implementing or acting

on what you learned.

One of the best things you can do to help you avoid this pitfall is to try and find

instructors or tutorials that don't just teach the technique but give you some kind

of assignment or action item that you can do to immediately act on what you learned

and implement the technique.

If you are having troubles finding tutorials on specific techniques that provide you with

action items try to make one up for yourself.

After each new technique you learn, grab a scrap piece of foam and practice that technique

'til you are feeling more comfortable with it.

The Second Trick is to make Failure work FOR you Using the FFFOFF method:

Immediately implementing techniques after you learn them really helps you to build up

the muscle memory and turns the techniques into tools in your tool belt but you can't

always just keep practicing those skills on scrap pieces of foam, you need to implement

them on actual pieces of armor or parts of your real cosplays.

A lot of times, no matter how much you practiced a specific technique, once you try to apply

it to an actual piece it still may not come out how you were wanting or hoping to begin

with.

You can either let that idea and fear of failure hold you back or you can make failure work

for you using the FFFOFF method.

FFFOFF stands for Fail Fast, Fail Often, and Fail Forward.

To quote probably the wisest person we all know "The Greatest Teacher Failure Is".

As we learned from Yoda in the Last Jedi and from not as cool non-fiction people like Edison

or Space X. Failure can be the quickest way to learn something and the lessons you learn

from it are not soon forgotten.

I know this sounds really counter intuitive and I felt that way at first too, but I promise

you that if you can change your mindset and view failure as a great teacher rather than

"failure is not an option" then you will be amazed at how quickly you will see your

skills improve and how good you can get in a short amount of time.

So Fail Fast, the faster that you jump in and just start making stuff, the sooner you

will fail and the sooner you will grow and the faster you will get better.

Fail Often, every new technique you learn is another opportunity to try it out and use

it, the more times you use a technique the more do's and don'ts you learn and the faster

you will improve.

Fail Forward, this is by far the most important part of this method because it reminds you

to not dwell on mistakes of the past but to remember them and avoid them in the future,

if you let failure keep you stuck then you are letting it win but if you use it to move

forward and grow and progress then you are making failure work for you!

Last Trick is the right Community: It is easy to say, don't be afraid of failing

and just get out there and do it, but it is another thing to actually do it, and that

is where surrounding yourself with the right community can be a huge help.

In order to embrace failure and use it as a tool to help you grow even faster you may

need to be part of an environment where you feel safe to be a little vulnerable, to be

part of a supportive, positive community that understands failure is a stepping stone and

celebrates wins and progress.

With the power of the internet there are many ways to find a great community of supportive

cosplayers.

Between Facebook Groups, Circles, Amino apps, and much more, but if you are having troubles

finding one you can always start a cosplay facebook group yourself and create that positive

environment for yourself and others!

:) A great community can help you grow and learn

from others, lift eachother up, and help one another implement techniques.

Alright, now that you have a game plan for overcoming your fear of failure, minimizing

your learning curve, and maximizing your results.

Enough with the Tell, let's jump into the Show, and show you how easy it can be to make

things with foam.

We are going to go through and build a vambrace together using the FORGE process so you can

see it in action and get your first taste of working with foam but before we dive in

we need to talk some quick safety tips: 1.

When cutting foam you will be working with sharp objects like razor blades and scissors,

be mindful and cautious to avoid cutting yourself.

2.

Anytime you heat things up they are likely to release vapors and gaseous chemicals.

Keep this in mind and anytime you are heating foam make sure you are in a well ventilated

space, and especially if you are adding details using any kind of burning tool that produces

a smoke protect yourself with a proper respirator.

3.

Working with a heat gun be mindful and take precautions to avoid burns

4.

Read and follow the safety labels on materials and items you use in your cosplays to make

sure you stay safe!

Just remember your health and safety is valuable and important not just to you but those around

you as well.

Alright with that, let's build a vambrace starting with F..

Find your Framework

Like I mentioned before, anytime you are able to leverage the awesome community of Cosplayers

out there and find an already existing pattern, it will save you tons of time and effort in

this stage and I recommend it especially, if you are a beginner.

In this instance the Framework portion of this build is going to be made super easy

because I am providing you with the entire framework.

It is a vambrace for a Sci-Fi character that I designed so there are no reference images

to gather together and you don't have to do the work of making your own pattern because

I am providing you with it.

You will need some 6mm foam, an Xacto knife, Heat Gun, and ideally a cutting mat for this

build.

Getting those supplies and tools ordered or buying them at the store would be part of

putting together your framework that you will use for your build.

Alright, so with your Framework down, let's move on to O.

Organize, in this step we will gather together all of the tools, materials, references, pattern,

etc.. and put them all together in one place.

So we have our foam pulled out, markers or pens to draw on the foam with, we have our

Xacto knife ready to go, our heat gun plugged in and ready to go, and most importantly our

pattern printed out and cut out.

In this step it is wise to quickly check the cut out pattern pieces against your body to

catch any overly large or small scaling issues before you get too far.

Once you feel your pattern is looking like it will work, you will also trace your pattern

onto your foam transferring all the labels and markings over to it and cut out the pieces

from your foam making sure to use the proper beveled or straight cuts according to the

pattern.

And with that we move into the next step.

Re-Visit, although we did a preliminary sizing test in the previous step, doing a test fit

at this stage of the process is critical for eliminating headaches later on.

Because foam is thicker than paper, sometimes even with careful planning our pattern could

come out being a little too tight or snug because of the extra thickness.

So I highly recommend taping your foam pieces together with some simple painters tape just

to get a rough test fit of whether the final glued piece will come together as anticipated.

Obviously, in this instance, where we are building a vambrace all out of 1 piece, we

can easily test it without much taping.

The next thing we want to do in this step is to revisit our work, double check that

we cut all of our pieces with the right bevels or straight edges.

A lot of times you will have a right and left half of an item like a helmet that are mirrors

of each other and so you will want to double check that you don't have 2 rights or 2

lefts instead of one of each.

With this vambrace if we were making both the right and left bracers at the same time

that would be something we would for sure want to check.

Lastly, we want to re-visit any details in the build that we might be able to add now,

while it is still flat and easy to work with so that we are not dealing with a 3D object

that makes it harder to get fine details.

So for the Vambrace here, we can score in all of this criss crossing details right now

before adding the shape to it.

With that, we are on to one of the most rewarding steps.

Glue, like I mentioned in the outline of the FORGE process G stands for Glue, but this

stage doesn't always mean we have to be using glue, it is more a representation of

the Assembly stage where our project starts taking shape and coming together.

So for our vambrace, we don't have any gluing to do unless you want to glue on some straps

or something but for this video we will just be give shape to our vambrace and seeing it

come to life from 2D to 3D.

Just apply heat to the foam using your heat gun, heat it evenly and then roll it into

shape.

You can reheat and reshape it till you feel it has the right curve you want to fit around

your arm.

Then Voila, just like magic you have a vambrace that has amazing detail and you are ready

to move onto the last stage, Embellish.

The Embellish step is where you give your item character and a sweet paint job.

To add character, you can add battle damage like knicks and gashes and really make it

come to life with the right paint.

Since painting could be a whole workshop and course of it's own I won't get into it

too much here.

I will have an entire extensive series of painting technique videos inside The Build

Guild but the basic idea is you can seal your foam using plasti-dip and then use either

spray paint, acrylics, or an airbrush to paint and add details like aging and weathering.

So there you go, easy peasy vambrace squeezy!

Now, what kind of instructor would I be if I didn't practice what I preach and give

you an action item based on what you saw here today?

I want you to take action and get set up with your beginners Foam Forging start kit.
