When it comes to small grains, you've always been able to expect big things from John Deere.
Now you can superseed your expectations with the all-new 60-foot 1895 Air Drill equipped
with the new ProSeries™ Opener for seed and separate fertilizer placement.
You'll see right away our new 1895 is bigger than before – a full 40 percent wider – with
a frame strong enough to pull our C850 Air Cart and two anhydrous tanks.
That means you can seed an extra 100-plus acres in a 10-hour day. In other words, you
can seed an entire quarter-section with nine fewer passes.
You'll superseed your expectations with accurate seed placement, too. Get better flotation
and reduced soil compaction from the larger mainframe and wing tires for more uniform
seed depth and seed-to-soil contact. And when fields are hilly, the frame sections flex
to follow the contour of the ground.
Plus, you can control accuracy straight from your cab with exclusive John Deere TruSet™
technology. TruSet lets you adjust downforce on the go to put you in control of uniform
emergence in just about all field conditions.
"The improved ground following improves yield because your seed, every seed, is placed
where it needs to be. And when every seed grows, that's when you have your best profitability."
You'll know you'll seed at the right rates consistently, too, thanks to the exclusive
John Deere RelativeFlow™ blockage monitoring system. This feature gives you a better view
of what's happening from the cart to the opener to help you spot any problems before
any potential blockage occurs.
If you need high seeding or fertilizer rates for your operation, AirPower™ 2 delivers.
With its dual fan system, you get twice the fan capacity than before to deliver your product
across the full width of the tool.
The new 1895 Drill includes the new ProSeries Opener, our latest, most advanced opener for
your seed and separate fertilizer placement. When it comes to seeding precision, consistent
seed depth and uniform emergence in virtually all field conditions, you can superseed your
expectations with ProSeries.
"If it's a little bit harder ground, you can put more pressure right then and there.
If you go through a wet spot, you know, you can back the pressure off and float through
it even that much better because you don't go in the ground without any pressure because
it's heavy enough. It's a nice feature."
Here's how the ProSeries Opener works. See how the press wheel is narrow and flexible
so it fits in the trench better. That helps improve seed-to-soil contact and keeps each
seed at a consistent depth. This is critical to emergence and yield.
The narrow seed boot fits tighter to the disk to help keep the soil where it should be and
reduce wear on the boot.
We've replaced the bolt with a new flag pin to keep the boot from moving to improve accuracy
and reduce wear, thereby reducing shop labor costs.
We've also redesigned the seed tab, now with twice the service life, to fit better
in the furrow to keep the seed from bouncing out.
We've also improved the closing wheel to better close the trench after seeds are placed.
ProSeries has eliminated the weekly greasing maintenance, leaving you with only one single
season grease zerk. That's it. We've also added sealed bushings and made disk removal
a lot easier and faster. Just one more way we can superseed your expectations.
