Waching daily Jul 5 2018

Hi, we're in Naples, in "Zì Teresa" restaurant. I'm the chef Carmela Abbate.

I'm Marianna Vitale, chef of the "Sud" restaurant in Quarto, province of Naples.

I'm Salvatore Bianco, chef of "Il Comandante" restaurant in the hotel Romeo in Naples.

C: We're here to watch the most clicked videos in the world

on Aglio e Olio. There we go!

C: In my opinion, the garlic is too much. What would you say?

S: It depends on what he's doing. C: Aglio e Olio. It's a lot, in my opinion.

Let's see. Let's go on.

M: He's smart on this one, as he put

aside some cooking water. C: Yes, some water from the pasta.

M: From there, you can actually see... C: Yes, there's a nice perspective.

S: Here he got completely lost.

C: Again? This is wickedness. M: That's parmesan and pecorino, to me.

C: Unacceptable. S: To make it stick well.

C: It's unacceptable.

C: Let's say he made a revisitation of the

spaghetto aglio e oilo. It's good, huh? He can't swallow it,

a nice glass of water. S: Did he add the cooking water?

C: No, absolutely. S: He got lost.

M: Well, he said a lot of true things, starting from

the fact that aglio e olio is for sure the simplest recipe

to make, let's say the simplest Italian recipe. What comes up is that, actually,

being it the simplest, it's the most difficult:

the least the ingredients, the more the difficulty. C: Adding that cheese at the end

was truly terrible. S: I really got lost. C: It really

made my heart leap. S: He made some correct passages in the execution, but the cheese...

C: Also, the fact he saved the water, but I don't know where he put it in the end!

C: Let's see the second recipe!

M: It's starting bad already... Unfortunately, also in Italy there are

variations of garlic and oil with cheese. C: Yes, it's true.

C: He added cold water. He shouldn't have. I didn't see him taking cooking water.

As you see, it doesn't fry right away. He lowered the temperature, so the

garlic, at some point, becomes inedible, cooked in this way.

S: Oh, my god.

C: Pasta... S: What's he doing?

M: Oh, salt as well. C: Oh, mamma mia!

S: I didn't get this salt thing.

C: Putting salt when you throw the pasta is, in my opinion... salt should just be added

in the water, maybe some more as aglio e olio

requires some more salt. Let's go on and see what happens next.

In my opinion, they are all the same...

this cheese, where do they put it? S: There's a mistake between cacio and

pepper and aglio e olio. C: Yes, yes, yes.

C: With this pasta, I'd make a nice frittata... What do you think?

C: I'd take out the garlic and make a nice frittata, it'd come out better.

Let's take a look at the others!

S: The lemon isn't a nice start.

M: It's a bad start, the lemon. C: Well, it doesn't even look like spaghetti, guys.

C: The salt in the water is fine.

C: The garlic. S: What's that, whisky? C: It might be wine, will he add wine?

S: No, he's drinking it. C: Nice! S: This is going to make the difference, to me.

M: Well, he's cool: the watch, the ring, the whisky...

C: Did you see? The skillet is a little higher than the one from before.

S: Red pepper. C: Red pepper can work.

M: Overcooked pasta can work... C: Wine can't work.

And he calls this spaghetto aglio e olio.

S: It's too quick, I can't understand.

C: He's putting the lemon, then he added the salt, here it is

M: It's an impepata. A mussels impepata. S: Salt? C: You're angry Salvatore, what happened?

S: He put salt, what happened? C: Nothing, all of them add salt in the end, now

we just have to... S: I want to understand. C: We just have to somatize this, let go and let's proceed.

C: Here he is, with the hand... Voilà! Dear sir, this is not aglio e olio.

S: It's not a justification, can I say one thing? C: Yes, you can, Salvatore.

S: Salt on top can't be ok, even if it was a film, salt is not ok on top.

M: This was truly strange: there's pepper, lemon... only the mussels are missing.

S: And we made an impepata! Salt won't even dissolve, if you put it in this way

you won't have the chance of dissolving and mix it. C: No way.

S: You'll just eat a salted pasta that tastes like lemon, the acidity. Then,

using lemon with heat, it's not the best.

C: Let's just go ahead guys, don't get angry.

S: Pine nuts... C: Ah, pine nuts...

M: Anyway, she already said: let's put abundant salt in the pasta as it's the only...

S: It's correct. C: Maybe they already... M: With the pine nuts, it's a dish worth million dollars.

C: Oh, mamma mia! S: She's adding them all!

C: There you go!

C: Can you imagine that burnt garlic in your mouth? What a

pleasant sensation? M: And the fried pine nuts, as well... S: The pine nuts...

C: Compared to the others, this one didn't add the salt, didn't add

parmesan or cheese, but she added... S: One piece after another... C: She added a lot of pine nuts

that aren't good, no good at all. M: Actually, about aglio e olio we know

the essential ingredients. We also know the variants, but we don't

have an official recipe. S: Written down. M: My grandma probably cooked it

differently from your grandma and from Salvatore's grandma... C: Yes, but they didn't

add other ingredients. M: This is the base. S: Let's just go on...

C: He is a little more technical in opening the garlic.

M: Why did he crush it if he's now cutting it in slices?

S: Maybe it was just to remove the peel... M: Yes!

C: How can he add the salt in the oil?

It was salt, wasn't it, guys? I saw it well, mamma mia...

S: I really want to see how does this pasta come out...

C: Wrapped up. Wrapped up. How can you do that, come on...

That how you do it! There you go!

C: He could have cooked the garlic some more, couldn't he?

The garlic is raw, guys. And raw garlic is just as bad as burnt garlic.

S: This music is creepy. C: It's disquieting, truly. So, the garlic wasn't

cooked to the right point. Putting these spaghetti in a bowl... S: Twenty minutes earlier.

C: Aglio e olio must be nice, firm to the bite. S: He's the only one who

used the ingredients... C: The right ones. M: And what are the ingredients for aglio e olio?

C: Garlic, oil and that's it. And spaghetti. Salt, water...

M: If you like it, red pepper. C: And red pepper, yes, as it gives

that hint of colour that can fit. What do you say? S: Vivacity. Yes, it's ok. C: I'm going to make

a nice spaghetti aglio e olio as your mums prepared it, made right with

the blessings of the authentic Neapolitan tradition, ok? S: Thank you. C: Are you eating it? You should

eat more, Marianna! S: You're so thin!

Choosing the Best ND Filters for Video – Neutral Density Filters Explained & Why You NEED Them - Duration: 6:09.

Hey everyone, Camber here and we are way too bright.

So let's get some glasses for your lens.

Hey everyone, Camber here back with you, and today we are talking about ND

filters and how they can save your footage. And if you're new here, this

channel is all about teaching you how to use your camera to make good videos so

if that's you, consider subscribing. Now before we get going I'm gonna skip ahead

for anyone who's here just to find out which filter I suggest using and this is

it right here. This is a B+W variable ND filter. It filters out from one to five

stops of light. So I just keep this one filter with me in my camera bag; I take

it all around the world. It works great, I love it.

So if that's why you're here, there you go less than a minute. Links are in the

description. You're welcome; let's move on. So what are ND filters?

Well, "ND" stands for neutral density, and they're gray-toned filters designed to

absorb light as it passes through your lens. And they're most commonly broken

down into full-stop increments. If you don't know what a stop of light is, check

out my video on exposure right up here somewhere-ish, in this area...

So the result is that less light passes through your camera lens

and reaches your sensor. But why would you want to use an ND filter?

So, having a fixed shutter speed can be very limiting, especially if you're shooting

outside in the daytime. And if you're shooting at 24 frames per second, chances

are you're gonna be at 1/50 on your shutter speed; and even at your

lowest ISO, you'll probably be forced to use a very narrow aperture in order to

keep your shot from being overexposed. But why can't you just increase your

shutter speed in order to fix your exposure for video? Well, you get the most

natural motion blur when following the 180 degree shutter rule, which refers to

the shutter angles used by film cameras back in the day. So the 180 Degree

shutter rule basically tells you to double your frame rate in order to

get your shutter speed. So if you're shooting at 24 frames per second you'll

double that to 48, and you'll be shooting at 1/48 of a second on your shutter speed.

And DSLRs can't actually do 1/48 so you just round to the next

highest which is 1/50 of a second. So, without following the 180

degree rule you would simply increase your shutter speed until you get your

shot properly exposed, but in doing this your footage would have very little

motion blur resulting in crisp frames that would end up looking jittery and

unnatural. With the ND filter in place, you can keep your shutter speed that is

double your frame rate and have the normal, natural motion blur that we're

used to seeing. All right, so we get what they are and why we need to use them, but

what are the different types of ND filters? The circular type and the square

type. And with the circular type you have to buy individual filters for each of

your lenses to fit the front filter threads. And in order to see the size

that you need you just look at the front of your camera lens, as you can see on

this one is 49 millimeters. So if you have multiple lenses with different lens

diameters, your cost can drive up really quickly by having to buy multiple

filters for multiple lenses; but one workaround for this is buying a step-up

ring kit so that you can get just one high quality ND filter that fits your

biggest lens and use that same filter on your smaller lenses. The square type

filters are of a universal size that fit into a holder and then you use an

adapter ring to fit it to the lens that you're using. This way you can have the

same set of filters with a different adapter ring for each of your lenses. So

these filters are cheaper overall, but it is a bulky alternative to the smaller,

circular filters that fit on the front of your camera lens. And this is where

having a professional cinema camera comes in handy because many of them have

ND filters built into them so you can dial in a range of stops without having

to attach anything to the front of your camera lens. So what do all the different

numbers mean when you're looking at and trying to choose the right ND filter for you?

Well, there are several different ways of measuring the strength of

neutral density filters, but they're all basically different ways of stating how

many stops of light the filter blocks. So if you just remember that 0.3 equals

one stop of light, then you can just add on from there to see how many

stops it blocks going to 0.6 equaling two stops of light, 0.9 being three stops

of light all the way up to 3.0 blocking out ten stops of light.

So then you could buy multiple filters at different strengths to use on your

lens depending on the situation, or this is where my favorite option that I

definitely suggest to you comes into play and that is the variable ND filter.

And these are quite a bit more expensive, however, they're really great because you

put this one filter on, you can block out just the exact amount of light you will

need for that scene and then you're good to go and you're not carrying a bunch of

extra filters in your bag. And I travel a lot so carrying as little as possible is

what really sold it for me. It blocks out from one to five stops of light, and

they are even more expensive one so you can get that block up to 11 stops of light.

And I have links in the description for a bunch of different ND filters so

you can check out and see what would work best for you. So when shooting

outside, if you want to avoid that cheap video-y look and maintain that natural

motion blur that we're used to seeing in films that'll make your films look

higher quality, then ND filters are what you need to make that happen.

And if you are going to invest in a ND filter, once again I highly suggest just

putting in a little extra money, getting a good quality variable ND filter, and

that'll make your filming so much easier and way more flexible. That's it for ND filters,

so if this was useful, hit that like button and let me know down below

if you have any more questions about ND filters. Go ahead and subscribe if you

haven't, and remember that the only way to get better at something is to practice.

So get out there and film something. See you soon!

The Best Vertical Video Editing Apps For IGTV - Duration: 9:09.

What's the biggest mistake that businesses are making on IGTV? They're

not editing. Editing, ugh! IGTV is fabulous, for those of you that don't know this is

Instagram TV, it's Instagram's own version of YouTube but with vertical videos, but

there is a problem, businesses aren't editing their videos, they're treating it

like live video and we've already got Instagram live. No we need to treat IGTV

differently. It's the place where we can pre-record and edit and make shiny

videos that people will want to keep watching. So today I'm going to share

with you the two best vertical video apps that I have found for iOS and

Android. If you want more of that kind of stuff I've got a list of

vertical video tools that I'm constantly updating you'll find on the blog. The

first tool I want to show you is InShot and this was the first vertical video

tool i found, i really liked some of the effects that you can get out of it.

Start by clicking on video and I can upload a video clip.

The first thing I want to do is click on canvas and choose 9 x 16 because that's

the ratio for Instagram TV - IGTV, I'll have to get used to calling it that.

Now I click the tick button and you can see it's added that video to the

timeline there now. I want to add a second video to the end of it so I'll

click the plus button and I can select another video, so say this one of me

picking up a coffee cup and then if I scroll to the end click the plus button,

and there's me, you can see it's put those clips in order, I can change the

order of those clips by just holding my finger on it I'm moving them around. I

can add really cool filters, so click on filter and you can see there's a few you

can choose from here, you can also choose an effect. There are some freaky ones here.

Look I can make myself look very strange and you can actually play with these

filters a little bit more than this as well and you can also, if you want to get

techy, you can go to adjust and you can adjust individually the contrast, the

warmth, saturation, fade, highlights, shadows, tint, put a hue on it, you can put

a vignette on it, you can sharpen it and you can add grain if you want to

make it look a little bit like a film. If you want to edit your clip down so you

want to get rid of a little bit before you start talking at the beginning and

maybe before you cut on to the next thing, you can click on a clip and click

on trim and here you can adjust it. So I'm going to get it just before I open

my mouth at the beginning and the end, you know I'm always looking to click the

stop button at the end, so just after I shut my mouth. There we go.

And you can do that with each clip until it fits together.

You can also speed up Clips which is kind of cool so you can speed it up or

you can slow it down, you can stickers. I kind of always like this one

you can choose when you want the sticker to come in and go out as well, so maybe

the WoW is how I feel once I've drunk coffee let's go there... WoW

You can add text, you can rotate your image you can flip it so if you've got

something that you accidentally shot the wrong way around this is the ideal

app for changing that as well. You can add music and voiceovers but I've had a

few issues with this this morning so I think you should actually just upload

your finished video with the sound on it before you start editing it.

The second tool I want to show you was recommended to me by one of my Facebook

followers, Bernie Golbach. Thank You Bernie, it's amazing. It's called cute cut

and it's so simple to use. Here's how. Click on the plus symbol at the top left

hand side of the screen and give it a name. Now you can choose your definition.

I'm going for high definition, you can see the ratio for that is 16 x 9 and

actually the ratio for IGTV is 9 x 16. We can change that down here under

orientation to portrait and now click done. Now we want to add some video clips

and actually you can add video clips, you can add photographs there's various bits

and pieces you can add here. I've got some video clips that I created earlier.

So I click the plus button, click on video and it brings me into my camera

roll. I'm going to look at the videos I've created most recently and it starts

with this one, me walking towards the screen and you can see I've got the

option of audio only but I want to choose the whole thing. It's put it

onto the camera roll there now, that's quite a long clip and after this I'm

going to put in another clip and another clip so I want shorten this down

double tap it, you can see it's got little handles and we'll just do that and I

want to at the end, I kind of do this swish around which doesn't really work

so that's what I've cut it to. If I'm happy with that I can click the tick

button at the bottom left if I'm not I can click the undo button next to pro at

the top center there. Double tap again, you'll see there's a whole load of other

stuff that I can do. I can add filters, I can crop it, I can change the speed of

the clip, I can change the brightness of the clip, I can put a drop shadow

behind it, there's all kinds of cool and interesting things I can do. Let's

scroll to the end of the clip and if I click on that camera roll symbol on the

top left hand side I can add my next clip. Me looking absolutely gorgeous

walking towards camera, we're going to choose that. It's always a nightmare

editing yourself. If I double click on that clip again and the same process, I

can change down the length of the clip. So maybe that. Now let's look at what

they look like together. So if I go full screen on this by double tapping it we

can scroll back to the beginning and play.

Click 'done to leave fullscreen. Now I think there's a little bit too much of

the bench at the beginning so I'm just going to double click on that and I'm

going to shorten that down to that. Click on the tick button, I would keep

reviewing that until I felt I got it right. Now I've got another clip I want

to add in so I switched the end of that click on my camera roll again and here's

the little clip of my feet walking, let's see what it looks like in full. You know

what might work even better though? If that clip of my feet walking was a

little bit shorter. So double tap that. But actually I'm going to put it in

between these two clips. I'm going to have the bench, my feet walking and then

me. I just hold my thumb on that, I don't know if you can see it's gone

yellow, and move it over. So let's see what that looks like now. Double tap it,

scroll back to the beginning and play.

Okay, I'm going to have a voice over this as well so I think it works. Now I'm

going to add my voice over track. If I click on the plus button you can see it

gives me lots of options that you can play with in your own time, but I'm going

to go for voice and this is the second track, that's one of the things I really

like about this, I can add multiple tracks to my videos. So if I click on

voice [voiceover] it's a lovely day to be working from home because I can go out into

the garden and although it's a bit too hot for tea I can really enjoy a big

pint of water [end voiceover] All I need to do is click the share button and export it to an

album. That's for me the two best vertical video editing tools that you

can find for iPhone and Android. If you'd like to try a few more cool tools for IGTV

I've written a blog post and if you've

got any recommendations I'm happy to add them to it.

Liverpool keeper Loris Karius posts cringey holiday video - Duration: 5:25.

Loris Karius has revealed where he went into hiding after his Champions League final calamities by posting a slick video of his summer holiday in Los Angeles

The German goalkeeper, who returned to Liverpool for the start of pre-season earlier in the week, uploaded the short Instagram clip filmed and produced by photographer Paul Ripke

But the clip received a backlash from fans who questioned why he was making glossy music videos instead of concentrating on his handling skills

The clip, entitled 'Hidden Hills', concludes with Karius eating ice cream, watching skateboarders and visiting the beach during his summer holiday in the States

'Hidden Hills' is a line from the soundtrack the video is set to - 'Butterfly Effect' by American rapper and singer Travis Scott

The clips takes every opportunity to show off the finer things in his life, from the hilltop mansion and flash car to designer clothes and a gold watch

Some in the comments section suggested Karius might concentrate more on catching balls on the football field, rather than trying to bolster his own image and ego with professionally-produced social media clips

One comment read: 'Isn't that the big-ego idiot who messed up twice in the final and ruined it for his team and the fans?! Seriously?! That's ridiculous

Seems like he didn't learn his lesson.'Anther wrote: 'I'm a Liverpool fan and this is embarrassing!!   Karius saw an attempted throw-out intercepted by Karim Benzema to open the scoring for the Spanish side before he spilled a long-range Gareth Bale shot for Real's third

It was later claimed following medical tests in Boston that Karius was suffering from concussion after being elbowed by Real defender Sergio Ramos shortly before the first mistake

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has kept faith with Karius and he reported for pre-season duties along with the other members of the Liverpool squad not at the World Cup on Monday

Karius is likely to play a part in Liverpool's upcoming friendly matches against Chester, Tranmere Rovers, Bury and Blackburn Rovers before they head to the United States on their pre-season tour
