Do you ever wonder why business owners don't take advantage of the benefits of
YouTube and why some business owners shouldn't even use YouTube? Welcome to
this video entitled: "Why Video Or YouTube Won't Work For Some Business Owners". Or,
to put it another way: "Why Some Business Owners Shouldn't Use YouTube!". Before we
identify why some businesses are not suitable for YouTube, be sure to watch
this video to the very end where you'll be able to download the free PDF copy
entitled: "The 7 Critical Reasons Why You Should Be On YouTube". Hi, my name
is Jeff laming from Video Cashflow and in this video we're going to highlight
why you should avoid some business owners and businesses when it comes to
ranking videos on YouTube. And if it's the first time you're watching a Video
Cashflow video and you like what you see, hear and read, then please click the

weekly basis. So why are some businesses not suitable for posting their videos on
to YouTube? Well, this boils down to two things: 1. the business itself; and 2.
the business owner. The business itself - whilst every business can benefit from
video it doesn't necessarily follow that every business can benefit from YouTube.
For example: 1. a business that is operating at maximum capacity will not
necessarily want to generate any more leads and inquiries; 2. a business may
rely solely on word-of-mouth referrals and recommendations. Self-employed tradesmen
and women, such as plumbers, carpenters and electricians fall into
this category; and 3. the demographic of a business target market
may rely on more traditional forms of lead generation such as leaflet dropping,
offline magazine and newspaper advertising. For example, products and
services aimed at segments of the older generation who refuse to use the
Internet and new technology. The business owner -
whilst many business owners recognise the advantages of having videos working
on behalf of their business and uploaded onto YouTube and other social media
platforms, there are other business owners where video and YouTube are not a
good outlet for them. Here's why:- 1. they don't recognise that they could
save themselves a lot of time by initially investing a
bit of time to set up a system that inexpensively produces quality videos
that can help generate leads; 2. they fail to understand the investment and
the return on the investment. In other words, the outlay of money is seen as a
cost and expense item and not an investment that can repay the initial
outlay many times over and over; 3. they want short-term gain over long term
building. Building your presence and authority on YouTube is a long-term
strategy, as is any business, and this requires consistency such as the
consistent uploading of videos to YouTube; consistent engagement with your
subscribers via email marketing and social media; and 4. they don't fully
understand the benefits even though they say they do.
For example, talking-heads type videos help break down the initial stages of
the "Like, Know, Trust" principle when it comes to forging a relationship with a
prospect. The business owner might agree this is a great benefit - but they find video
intimidating and let their fear of appearing on video hold them back.
Summing up then, whilst YouTube and video have many great attributes that
business owners can massively benefit from, we need to be respectful to those business
owners where video and YouTube won't necessarily work for the following
reasons: 1. business is not suitable owing to: (1) already operating at full
capacity; (2) business is generated by other means; and (3) the target market demographic
may not lend itself easily to video and YouTube; and 2. the business owner is not
suitable owing to:(1) not recognising outsourcing and other time-saving
benefits; (2) not fully understanding the potential returns on the investment; (3) not
committed to building over the long term; and (4) not shaking off the fear of
appearing in video. If you found any of this information helpful please insert
