Waching daily Jun 24 2018

Hi everyone, today I'm going to make this video

about all the languages I've learned

in my lifetime so far.

I have to say that I'm not fluent in

seven languages unfortunately. That is

definitely a goal but it's

not something I've reached for now.

I have always been a huge lover for languages,

foreign languages,

cultures, different countries. I love travelling,

I love sharing experiences with new people.

And of course I love languages.

Well, I'm going to start with my mother tongue. As you probably guessed,

my mother tongue is French, hence the accent.

So, my first language is French, that's the only one.

I was born in France, I'm French, my parents are French,

I was born in France, I'm French, my parents are French,

I was born in France, I'm French, my parents are French,

I grew up in France, I've lived my whole life in France,

but a year in Erasmus.

Now I've been living in Paris for 8 years.

I grew up in a small village in Burgundy, so the French countryside.

I grew up in a small village in Burgundy, so the French countryside.

I grew up in a small village in Burgundy, so the French countryside.

Well, nothing else to say about my first language I think. Well, let's move to the first

foreign language I've learned, which is English.

I've learned English at school, like almost everyone

in France, but as you probably know,

the language system in France is not the best.

the language system in France is not the best.

We usually focus more on grammar and written language than on spoken language

We usually focus more on grammar and written language than on spoken language

We usually focus more on grammar and written language than on spoken language,

that's why usually French people are not really good in languages

that's why usually French people are not really good in languages

and we are really shy when it comes to speaking English.

and we are really shy when it comes to speaking English.

I've improved my English I think when I travelled.

I've improved my English I think when I travelled.

I've improved my English I think when I travelled. Because I met people and the only common language we had was English.

I've improved my English I think when I travelled. Because I met people and the only common language we had was English.

So of course it helps to improve.

I've never lived in an English-speaking country. So

I've just, I think

I've learned English with a lot of mistakes that non-native speakers make.

I've learned English with a lot of mistakes that non-native speakers make.

I've learned English with a lot of mistakes that non-native speakers make.

But still, I can express myself in English

But still, I can express myself in English, I can speak about almost everything.

And I like this language now.

Let's move to the second language I've learned

Let's move to the second language I've learned

and that's German.

I have learned German at school, I have learned for eight years.

I have learned German at school, I have learned for eight years.

I have learned German at school, I have learned for eight years.

But it's a very difficult language for me

But it's a very difficult language for me

and I can't really speak.

and I can't really speak now.

I have been to Germany eight times I think

I have been to Germany eight times I think

to Berlin, to Munich, to Cologne

to Berlin, to Munich, to Cologne, to Trier as well,

because my cousin lives in Trier.

But I don't speak often German in Paris

But I don't speak often German in Paris

and I've forgotten a lot of words.

Now I can't really speak.

Now I can't really speak.

Well, my German is not the best, so let's move to

Well, my German is not the best, so let's move to

Well, my German is not the best, so let's move to

the third language I've learned in my life,

which is Italian.

I've learned Italian in high school for three years and then

I tried to improve it with my friends and the people I met.

I tried to improve it with my friends and the people I met in my life.

I tried to improve it with my friends and the people I met in my life.

My friends helped me a lot.

My friends helped me a lot.

Italian is a language I like a lot,

because I like Italy, the culture,

the culture, especially the food of course.

Now I don't speak Italian very well

but I can

speak a bit about everything, I can speak with my friends

speak a bit about everything, I can speak with my friends so...

I'm still trying to improve.

I'm still trying to improve.

Well,

the fourth language

I've learned

was Czech.

I speak a bit Czech.

I learned Czech when I was in Erasmus in Prague for a year.

I learned Czech when I was in Erasmus in Prague for a year.

I learned Czech when I was in Erasmus in Prague for a year.

I had intensive classes,

I had intensive classes, during about 3 weeks,

6 hours of Czech language per day.

6 hours of Czech language per day.

6 hours of Czech language per day.

Unfortunately this is not enough.

Unfortunately this is not enough.

I really like Czech language but it's very difficult and different.

I really like Czech language but it's very difficult and different.

I really like Czech language but it's very difficult and different.

In Paris I don't speak Czech so I've forgotten a lot.

In Paris I don't speak Czech so I've forgotten a lot.

In Paris I don't speak Czech so I've forgotten a lot.

In Paris I don't speak Czech so I've forgotten a lot.

In Paris I don't speak Czech so I've forgotten a lot.

The fifth language I've learned was Russian.

The fifth language I've learned was Russian.

I speak a bit Russian as well.

I speak a bit Russian as well.

I speak a bit Russian as well.

I speak not a lot and not really well.

I speak not a lot and not really well.

I study Russian alone

I study Russian alone

I study Russian alone

Russian is my favourite language because I love Russia, culture, history, literature, everything!

Russian is my favourite language because I love Russia, culture, history, literature, everything!

Russian is my favourite language because I love Russia, culture, history, literature, everything!

Russian is my favourite language because I love Russia, culture, history, literature, everything!

Russian is my favourite language because I love Russia, culture, history, literature, everything!

I went to Russia six years ago, no, seven years ago.

I went to Russia six years ago, no, seven years ago.

I went to Russia six years ago, no, seven years ago.

And it was wonderful.

Finally we arrive to the last language I'm learning

Finally we arrive to the last language I'm learning

Finally we arrive to the last language I'm learning, which is Spanish.

Now I'm learning Spanish

for two or three months maybe.

for two or three months maybe.

I like Spanish, especially Spanish from Latin America.

I like Spanish, especially Spanish from Latin America.

I learn Spanish with a small book

I learn Spanish with a small book

and with a friend, because I have an Argentinian friend in Paris

and with a friend, because I have an Argentinian friend in Paris

and he helps me to learn. He talks to me in Spanish, he writes me in Spanish,

he helps me.

Spanish is an easier language for me

Spanish is an easier language for me

because it's a Latin language like French and Italian.

But I need to spend more time

But I need to spend more time

and I can improve.
