Hello, and welcome to my guide to uploading videos created with OBS to Youtube and adding captions
First, you'll want to navigate to www.youtube.com.
Next, click on the "Create a video or post" button in the upper right, and select "Upload Video"
You'll need to sign in and create a Youtube channel if you haven't already done so.
Select a video to upload. By default, OBS saves them as .flv files located in the Videos folder on Windows.
Drag and drop the file onto your browser.
Youtube will begin processing the video. Now is a good time to enter a title.
Click the "Publish" button when you're done.
Next, click on the user icon in the upper right and select the "Creator Studio" button.
Find your video and select "Edit"
If your video hasn't finished processing yet, you may need to refresh the page.
Select the "Subtitles/CC" option on the far right.
Choose a video language for your subtitles.
Click "Add new subtitles or CC", and click your language from the drop-down menu.
Select "Create new subtitles or CC"
Enter your first caption in the box on the upper right.
Adjust the start time and end time for the caption to sync with the video.
Repeat until the whole video is captioned.
