Stop boring your audience. Make better sales video using Storytelling - Duration: 6:14.

Today I want to talk about story there's a lot of really rubbish videos

out there that people put out. But I wanted to come for a bike ride.

Safety first. I'm trying to get fit, not that i'm unfit

just a bit conscious that I'm getting older and my health, I need to look after it

I've gotta start doing it at some point so now, while I'm healty is better than later.

So I've come for a bike ride. I want to talk about story a

little bit because there's a lot of people out there who put out video and

it doesn't get watched. I'm not talking about technique here, lighting

The lighting today's look great. I'm talking about the story and the types of story.

There's a few different types but there's journalistic and then there's

storytelling. Journalistic is a little bit different because if you've ever

watched the news or read a newspaper you notice it starts off with the key points

in each paragraph gets less and less important. The reason for that is

that when they need to edit the paper, edit the story to make a little more

space they know that can drop the last couple of paragraphs if they need to, to

make more space because they're less important. So it starts off for the key

features first. Storytelling is quite different, you have the narrative throughout the story.

and a lot of people just start talking to camera and don't think about the

story essence behind what they're saying. I'm not talking blockbuster epic

storytelling here. I'm talking about the basics so let's have a look at a few

different types of story and how they are structured.

When we think about stories and films I like to think about it in this way.

You've got happiness and time

There's a couple types of films to think about

and first one we're going to think about is disaster type films.

As the film opens there's a part of the plot to establish what is

the normal and then disaster will happen so then the happiness continuum drops

down and then through the rest of the film they are trying to correct the

disaster that's happened. As the film ends a new level happiness is

established. Other types of films are rags to riches type films

Cinderella for example and also romance films where the main character is maybe

somewhat unhappy and then they'll come into a fortune or meet their love of

their life and happiness will shoot through the roof. Then no doubt they'll

screw up they lose all the money or lose the lave and then I'll plunge back

down again before realizing the error of their ways and then re-establishing

the normal.

If we divide it like that.

You've got the start

the middle and the end of the story. You've got the build up establishing the

new normal. The start normally ends on a crescendo or a low. Then you've got

the middle of the story where they are overcoming the main challenges.

Then you've got the the end, the resolution You've got the start the middle and the

end which is kind of the setup the conflict and then the resolution

Sales videos it should be pretty much the same you've got the set up

while you introduce the level of normal then you've got the pain points of

someone's feeling what kind of conflict is people have in their life.

The resolution is all about how you as a business owner can solve the pain points

that you brought up up in in the conflict section. This not only

applies to video as well I think it should apply to copywriting on your

websites. When you write you want to introduce the pain points

that people feeling and then come up with the resolution, the problem that

you're trying to solve and the solution that you're trying to sell to that problem.

That's how story relates to sales and I think it should apply to copy as well,

in text, when you're writing you should have apply this narrative as well.

One key thing to remember when you're writing you should put the person first

you should talk about what you can do for them so you place in them first you

talk about their problems their pains you don't talk about all the great

things that you can do.

and the same in video as well. We get carried away and we talk about how good

we are as the speakers talking to camera but when really we need to talk about

you the viewer. How do you feel, what's your problem

and with video a lot of people forget about that. So next time you're gonna

write something or produce a video I want you to get out a piece of paper first

before you even set up camera and write down start middle and end. Write few

bullet points on each how are you going to set up the scene, what is the conflict

they you are trying to resolve and then how are you going to resolve it.

that's me for today I am off to carry on my bike ride.

once I can get this helmet on.

Safety first! See you later

So I hope you've enjoyed this video if you have, don't forget to Like,

comment below and share the video. hope it has been of help to you but before you

go there's one thing that I did miss. I did miss it intentionally

there are actually four elements to the sales video you've got to start the

middle at the end and then you've got call to action (CTA). What do you want people to do?

My call to action this video is like comment and subscribe. So hopefully

it's being useful to you until next time see you later

What is Exposure – How Aperture, Shutter Speed, & ISO Affect Your Video Exposure - Duration: 4:18.

Whoa, too much.

Right... There.

So, exposure...

Hey everyone, Camber here back with you and today we are talking

about exposure, and if you're new here this channel is all about teaching you

how to use your camera to make good films. So if that's you, consider subscribing.

Now, exposure is the amount of light allowed to hit the image sensor of your

camera while taking a photo or a video. In the days of film cameras, there was an

actual mechanism that was in front of the film. When taking a photo, the

mechanism would move out of the way and allow light to hit the film for a period

of time. Then the mechanism would move back in front of the film and block out

the light once again. So you were literally exposing the film to light.

Hence the term, exposure. And most digital photo cameras work in a similar way, like

the DSLR, however most smaller digital photo cameras and almost all video

cameras don't have a physical mechanism in front of the sensor and instead use

an electronic shutter. So both mechanical and electronic shutters work in a

similar way, however, all you really need to know is that longer exposure times

result in a brighter image and more motion blur and shorter exposure times

result in a darker image and less blur. And for a photo you're dealing with one

exposure whereas for video you're dealing with a constant stream of exposures.

Known as frame rate.

That are anywhere from 24 to 60 frames per second for

normal-looking video and above 60 frames per second for high-speed video

typically used for slow motion. And exposure is controlled by three main

things in your camera; and that is your aperture, your shutter speed, and your ISO.

And each of these is going to get their own video in much greater detail in the

future; but for a quick overview your aperture controls how much light hits

your camera sensor, your shutter speed controls how long the light hits your

sensor, and your ISO will control the sensitivity of your sensor to light. And

for stylistic effects your aperture controls your depth of field or the

blurriness of your background, your shutter speed will control the motion blur

of your image, and the ISO is going to control how grainy your footage looks.

So when your exposure is set properly a change in any one of these settings will require

an equivalent change and one or more of the other settings, and in order to be

able to control all these settings you need to be shooting in manual mode.

But how do you know if your exposure is set properly. Well, let's take a look at the

exposure meter inside your camera. Looking at the meter scale you should

see a zero in the middle with a one and two on each side of the zero. Each of the

numbers on the meter scale represents a stop of light, which is a doubling or

halving of the amount of light let in when taking a photo. So if you hear a

person talk about increasing exposure by one stop, that simply means to capture

twice as much light as on the previous shot or half as much by decreasing a

stop. Moving to the right side of the zero results an overexposed image and to

the left results in an underexposed image. Now there are different types of

metering modes in your camera that will affect the way your camera senses light

and displays it on your metering scale, and we'll cover this in a separate video;

however, in general, if your scene is evenly lit, the zero on your metering

scale should represent a properly exposed image. So the goal is to properly

expose all of your shots, however, I prefer to be a little underexposed

because as soon as you overexpose anything, especially skin, you can't get

that information back. But on the flip side if your footage is too underexposed,

when you brighten it in editing, it'll start getting grainy very quickly.

So getting exposure correct is crucial to your footage looking good. And that's all

I have for exposure so if you made it this far, hit that thumbs up and let me

know down below if you have any more questions about exposure. Subscribe if

you haven't, and remember that the only way to get better at something is to practice.

So get out there and film something.

See you soon!

Class of 2018 Senior Video - Duration: 10:18.

hey class of 2018 let's take a look back at the last four years so we've had a

lot going on as recently as the yodeling kid at Walmart am i wearing blue and

black or golden white world may never know Hamilton came to Broadway and we

still can't get tickets the 2016 election was super interesting to be a

part of at NYU all the students were super involved and it made me really

passionate about our political system Kylie Jenner finally showed us her baby

bump but we all knew she was pregnant Bitcoin was really popular for about

three weeks in December if you were unfortunate enough to invest in it at

the time I'm sorry for your loss Obama movies like Moana Coco Black

Panther and Wonder Woman really diversified Hollywood and made us think

the Mets run the world series it was really depressing though when they lost

the Royals and all my friends who weren't Royals fans all of a sudden

became royal fans to root against me we have finally won his Oscar for his role

in the revenant good job leo hello it's me we all

remember Adele's hello right stranger things I love that show

cardi B's Bodak Yellow beat t-swift go cardi be like was that good was that

good

New York is really the city that never sleeps if you want to come to any city I

feel like New York is why you stopped that a New York just feels like the

world is at your fingertips New York City has provided a very engaging

environment to study in it's just really amazing I think to be able to walk on

the streets and hear so many different languages and to meet people from so

many multifaceted backgrounds two months into my time at NYU and the streets

just fill up with a bunch of Santa's at like 9:00 a.m. and that was like a

little overwhelming I had no idea what was going on I'd like to go to a lot of

museums in the city I've been taking a class right now in galleries and museums

it's really great to see all the different styles I've been very

fortunate to be a part of the ball drop every year so I think just witnessing

New Year's Eve in New York City is an experience of its own I love Washington

Square Park I love it it's just like such a small area physically but there's

just so much happening on so many different people I feel like sometimes

it's like a tour around the world there have been summer days when we just go to

Coney Island and it's experiences like that that I feel like you can't get

anywhere else and we're so lucky to have that in New York every day can be a new

day in New York City which is something I've never experienced before

I think what I'm gonna miss most about Stern is being able to walk into Tisch

Hall and seeing so many familiar faces you just get a sense of like family and

home I'm gonna miss being in a very supportive environment surrounded by all

my peers the thing I'll miss the most about Stern is definitely waffle

Wednesday's the first Wednesday of every month I really loved all the block

parties definitely the chance to learn from great professors about the way the

world works which is why I came here in the first

place from the freshman year experience all the way to your senior year every

point you are exposed to all different types of ways to be a business student

my favorite starting tradition I usually flow over to it the passport

day that takes place on Google Plaza my absolute favorite Stearn memory is cool

founding Islamic finance group here with several other students across the

undergraduate college Stern took about 20 of us to Omaha and we got to me

Warren Buffett and tour some of the Berkshire Hathaway companies I think one

of the things I'm gonna miss most is probably my experience in the clubs and

organizations here I'm president of IAG and definitely the first meeting I went

to was the start of a new life for me the clubs I've been a part of have been

such a beautiful part of my experience here I'm part of the undergraduate stem

women a business society and I actually got to be president this year so it was

a really great honor some of the most standout classes that I've taken were

abroad so taking classes in NYU London learning about wrecks it just before it

happened we are in and when you Shanghai learning about the Chinese economy just

as it was about to take off I studied abroad for a January term in Abu Dhabi

what an incredible place we are so so fortunate to have an actual campus there

I went to Prague my sophomore year I had never been to Europe before so it was

just an amazing experience I think my favorite memory would be the

International Studies program the ISP trip I got to go to Santiago Chile and I

spent almost a week with my closest friends at Stern I had never been to

Latin America before so that was all new to me it was just an incredible

experience to be in a foreign country with like 200 other Sternies and get

that bonding experience for isp I went to Lisbon in Portugal and that was a

fantastic experience I was able to eat great food I was able to meet new people

we learned a lot about business in Europe and business more

specifically in you know Portugal and in that part of Europe in general for ISP I

got the opportunity to go to Hong Kong Hong Kong with the city that I fell in

love with you know if I wasn't living in New York I would be happily living in

Hong Kong it was like everything in one I felt like it was a cultural experience

it was time to bond with other friends it was learning experience I was able to

really have an engaging experience with my peers outside of the classroom it

really showed what the future of networking and the future a relationship

building can be

I think the professors have certainly made it completely for me my favorite

professor is Susan Stelleck I had her for Org Comm and PRL she's one of the best

professors I've ever had my favorite professor is probably Damodaran I

took his corporate finance class and I also took his equity valuation class

he's just kind of a legend in the industry he really taught me a new way

of thinking professor Murphy for financial services

industry professor bill maker taught me a lot of the fundamentals of economics

his behavioral economics classes are just amazing I took a microeconomics

class with him and like I absolutely loved it first week of school as a

freshman and everyone gets together all 600 of the class Dean Menon walks out

and welcome to Stern you know you're part of a family now she's very fun she loves

to take selfies I felt that she cared for us in many ways and was always

trying to you know hear the student Who are you? I am Stern!

what I will miss most is the people the people the people looking back in the

past four years I think I definitely learned to value friendship the

academics at Stern were really challenging but I think the best part of

that was that my peers were able to help me and push me forward whenever I had a

problem I think the biggest way I've grown in the last four years has to just

be the ability to take more risk now I know like there's so much more out there

and to try new things now I'm someone who is totally different than it was

when I entered but also very excited and proud of the new journey and steps that

I'll be taking post graduation I feel more settled into the city I don't take

the Uptown train if I'm trying to go downtown I was able to make it feel like

expand my mind expand my global reach by being able to go all over the world with

NYU and with the stern so I've definitely grown in that way it was like

these little moments throughout my experience that just opened my eyes so

much more and I'm like there's more to this place than just business

essentially it's so important to give others a platform and to support the

conversations that break us together unity I always felt like I was just

coming to a place of friendship and gathering and love if I hadn't gone

to Stern I wouldn't be Who I am today

shoutout to you swim you guys woman up shoutout to IAG shoutout to all the BS

BFA dual degree graduates we did it I wanna give a huge shout out to my mother

to pursue any sort of career path even if it's outside of business dears during

Milwaukee police release video, apologize for use of Taser during arrest of Bucks G Sterling Brown - Duration: 4:06.

Milwaukee police release video, apologize for use of Taser during arrest of Bucks G Sterling Brown

Milwaukee police released video on Wednesday of a January arrest and use of a Taser on Milwaukee Bucks guard Sterling Brown.

Brown plans to take legal action.

The incident escalates around the 8:00 mark of the video embedded above.

Footage shows an officer approaching Brown's Mercedes and initiating a verbal confrontation with Brown.

"Back up.

Back up," the officer tells Brown, who is standing calmly in front of him.

"Are you obstructing me? I just told you to back up.

That's right, I told you to back up.

Cause you're going to try and get into the car.

I'll do what I want, all right? I own this right here.".

Brown and the officer continue to go back and forth while the officer waits for backup over the parking violation.

He tells a fellow officer that Brown "got right in my face" when backup does arrive.

The body camera footage shows that at least five other police vehicles arrive on the scene as the initial officer tells his colleagues that he "just wanted one" backup team.

Brown is seen surrounded by at least five officers around the 8:00 mark of the video where an officer is heard telling him to "take your hands out of your pockets now.

" The officers then gather to take Brown to the ground.

Around the 8:40 mark of the video, an officer yells "Taser, Taser, Taser" before a groan is heard from the pile.

Around the 24:50 mark, the initial officer on the scene tells Brown, now standing in handcuffs, that he didn't recognize him as a Bucks player.

Milwaukee police apologize for arrest of Sterling Brown.

Police chief Alfonso Morales held a news conference before the video was released where he read from a statement, but refused to take questions from the media.

"During the encounter, Mr Brown was decentralized, tased and arrested," Morales said.

"The department conducted an investigation into the incident which revealed members acted inappropriately, and those members were recently disciplined.".

Morales did not explain what the discipline entailed, nor did he identify the officers involved.

Captain Steven Caballero told reporters that police will be releasing the officers' information "once all statutory requirements have been met.

Both officers then walked away from the podium as reporters asked questions.

Brown released a statement shortly after the release of the video and said he intends to file a lawsuit against the Milwaukee Police Department.
