Just like you the Quebec government must earn or collect money to pay for its

expenditures. The Quebec government's revenues come from three main sources:

own source revenue, revenues from government enterprises and federal

transfers. Own source revenue consists primarily of tax revenue and includes

personal income tax which is calculated based on the money that each individual

earns; contributions to the health services fund which are paid by

employers based on their total payroll for the year; corporate taxes which are

calculated based on a company's profits and school property taxes which are

calculated based on the value of property you own and used to cover the

expenses of school boards. There are also consumption taxes the most known is the

Quebec Sales Tax or the QST. This tax applies to almost everything you buy

with a few exceptions. The second main revenue category is government

enterprises which are corporations or entities that earn money. The most

profitable government businesses include the Société des Alcools du Québec or SAQ,

Hydro-Québec and Loto Québec. Finally the last source of income for the Québec

government comes from federal government transfers and are three types. The Canada

health transfer helps cover costs for health care programs and services.

The Canada social transfer helps cover costs associated with social programs like

post-secondary education and childcare. And the third is equalization payments

these are funds transferred to less wealthy provinces allowing them to

provide citizens with services comparable to other provinces. Like you

the government needs to manage its finances responsibly and ensure that all

Quebecers have access to the services they need.

Cyclone Create Intro Video - Duration: 1:57.

Cyclone Create is a Facebook group created to foster creative collaboration and

networking. The purpose of it is to serve as a starting point for connecting with

creative people on and around Iowa State's campus. So how does it work?

If you'd like to collaborate with people on a project, post a request. "Hey, I'm working

on this and I need help with this." Maybe you're working

on a video and need actors. Maybe you're coding an app and need help with visual

design. Whatever your project, keep the description brief and go over details

with your responders directly. Save the details for the DMs. Part of networking is

sharing what you do and what you know. Because no one likes a page that gets

spammed with one person's materials, there will be designated posts to share

your work and knowledge. Show Your Work Wednesday and Resource Sunday. Underneath

the Show Your Work post share links to where people can find your latest

project or something you're currently working on. Be it a portfolio, Instagram

feed, or maybe even a mixtape. Whenever you see a Resource Sunday post,

share links to things such as articles you think others could benefit from

reading. You don't have to share anything, but it's a great way to engage with

others in the group and it could spark collaboration you never even intended.

The guidelines for this group are simple. Don't spam. If you spam this group you will be deleted.

Respects others. Personal attacks or disrespectful comments will not be

tolerated. Don't steal. No one has time for legal battles so don't look at

someone else's request and claim their idea as your own. And if you post an idea,

be wise in what you share. You can find these rules and other helpful guidelines

in the Files tab of this group. If you have any questions, feel free to reach

out to the admin of this group. Until then, happy creating and collaborating!
