Waching daily Nov 24 2017

Got a cigarette for me?

I thought you wouldn't smoke?

And I thought you wouldn't ask such stupid questions.

Laughing, she opened her pack of Marlboros

and gave him his first cigarette.

He wasn't stupid.

He knew about the consequences.

But he didn't care.

She wasn't friendly.

But he wanted to be her friend.

She wasn't beautiful.

But he wanted to fuck her.

11/24/17 - Bishop Doug's Advent Video - Becoming Beloved Community - Duration: 3:49.

Grace and peace be with you and Jesus, the light for all people. Greetings from

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Munster. This is the Advent wreath here at St. Paul's,

and I'm here at St. Paul's just a few days before Advent begins.

I'd like to read the prayer for the first Sunday of Advent from the Book of Common Prayer:

"Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness and put on the

armor of lights, now in the time of this mortal life in which your son Jesus

Christ came to visit us in great humility. That in the last day, when he

shall come again in his glorious Majesty to judge both the living and the dead, we

may rise to life immortal through him who lives and reigns with you in the

Spirit." Sisters and brothers, we find ourselves in this in-between time,

waiting for the second coming of the risen Christ and remembering Christ's

first coming - born of Mary in Bethlehem. It's a time for us to focus on the

opportunities for us to repent and renew and reconcile. The Episcopal Church, over

the last few months, introduced us to a resource called "Becoming Beloved

Community." I shared a bit about that at my pastoral

address at convention. And they've prepared a resource for us to use

throughout the season of Advent. And so I'd like to invite you into a series of

conversations. And let me say it's not necessary for you to be part of every

conversation. I'm trying to hold a conversation in each of the areas of our

diocese. And so we'll begin this coming Thursday, the 30th of November, at St.

Augustine's in Gary, focusing in on the theme "Telling the Truth about our

Churches and Race" which will be at 7pm Central time. The following Thursday,

the 7th of December will be at Gethsemane Church in Marion and the

focus will be on "Proclaiming the Dream of Beloved Community."

The 3rd Thursday will be the 14th of December and the

theme is "Practicing the Way of Love in the Pattern of Jesus" at Holy Trinity in

South beginning at 7pm Eastern time. And on Thursday the 21st of

December we'll focus on the theme "Repairing the Breach in Institutions and

Society" at Trinity in Fort Wayne beginning at 7pm Eastern Time.

Along with this video we've included some information about times and dates

more specifically, and the URL address for the resources that you might engage

in your own faith community in reflecting on this important thing.

Each of our faith communities throughout the Episcopal Church will also be

receiving an Advent calendar focused on this particular theme around the

labyrinth of becoming a Beloved Community. So I'd like to conclude with a

collect focused on the work of racial reconciliation and justice. Let us pray:

"Almighty God who created us in your own image, grant us grace fearlessly to

contend against evil and to make no peace with oppression but we may

reverently use our freedom help us to employ it in the maintenance of justice

in our communities and among the nations to the glory of your name

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Peace be with you

How I Plan Out Youtube Videos - Duration: 4:46.

One of the biggest questions that I get asked is

how do you create a video strategy for your YouTube channel?

So in today's video I'm gonna share with you

my secret strategy for planning videos

for my YouTube channel.

Hey, guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips.

My name is Trena if you are new here,

and I help creative entrepreneurs

get their business on YouTube.

Like I said, in today's video we're gonna walk through

how to create a video strategy for your business

to get on YouTube.

So my little secret to success here on YouTube is playlists.

It's one of the biggest underutilized elements of YouTube

that people really don't use.

And if they use it, they're not using it right.

So when you think about playlists,

you wanna think about bingeable content.

So, what you wanna think about is,

remember that time you got on Netflix

and you watched, oh, one episode of Friends,

and then five hours later you realized

you just watched all of season seven and eight?

Yeah, that's because Netflix automatically played

that next video.

And playlists can do that for your content as well.

And why that's so important is because

YouTube really values channels

that keep people watching the platform,

that keep people watching more and more minutes

of your videos.

So if you can create bingeable content in a playlist,

YouTube is going to promote that playlist

and potentially rank it in search results.

So how do you do this?

So the first thing that I do

is I write down all of the video ideas

that I have for the next couple weeks,

and I try to see if there is a similar theme

and try to group five to six video ideas together.

So my upload days are Tuesdays and Thursdays,

so for five to six weeks I'm gonna have a video series

specifically on Tuesdays

and another video series specifically on Thursdays.

Now, these videos, you want them

to kind of tie into one another so if they find one video,

they're going to wanna watch the next in the series

and the next in the series.

Not only does this start accumulating watch time minutes

for you, but it also starts to chisel away

at that know, like, and trust factor

for someone who may be watching you for the first time.

By breaking down that know, like, and trust factor,

it's going to be much easier

to sell that person your ebook or your course

or your one-on-one services.

So what I do for the first five videos

in my series is I just get people to watch my content.

Whether a call to action to watch the previous video

or to subscribe to my channel,

I'm just focused on getting people to watch more content.

Then the last video in my series,

I'm going to send people to an opt-in or a course

or my work with me page,

because I built up this trust

if they binge-watched my playlist,

and hopefully they like me

and they're ready to work with me.

Now, why specifically am I saying five to six videos?

So if you post that playlist on your YouTube channel,

it's about five videos that fit across,

and it's six videos if you do it horizontally.

So you just want your playlist to look

like it's full, it's complete,

and it just aesthetically looks better.

So you can see I have my video series mapped out

for the rest of the year on that calendar right there.

The different color Post-Its represent

the different video series that I have planned.

And so this is the end of a video series

that I started here on my YouTube channel

all about coming up with video ideas

and a video strategy for your business.

So if you just want somebody

to give you the video ideas upfront,

I have 52 video ideas based per industry

in my current shop.

So if you are a business coach or a health coach

or social media strategy,

I've already come up with 52 video ideas for you.

All you have to do is pop on over to my shop.

I'll link it up here and down in the description box below.

Pick your industry, click Buy,

and automatically you have a year's worth

of video ideas created for you.

Now, if your industry is not listed, please let me know.

We can set up something to do a customizable plan for you.

But I do have 10 specific industries listed

with a year's worth of video ideas.

So what are some video ideas you're thinking about creating?

You don't have to buy my video ideas to get started.

What are some of your ideas?

If you liked this video series,

make sure you give it a thumbs up and you subscribe,

because next week I'm kicking off a new video series

all about goal-setting.

So as we get closer to the end of the year,

let's talk about setting YouTube goals,

personal goals, business goals.

So we're kicking off that playlist next week.

Thank you so much for watching, bye!
