Hi and welcome back to coffee corner
on today's episode I'll be talking about the latest in video marketing
I'll cover a cool video case about incorporating video in your sales funnel
And I'll end with some tips and tricks about using video and email
So you know the drill
grab a coffee press ever full-screen mode and enjoy
Here's what's its new and video marketing
Facebook recently surpassed Netflix for online video taking the number two spot
according to ampere Analytics
and while YouTube still is the leader when it comes to online video
It just shows that
Facebook is becoming more and more of a major player
and while Netflix is now in third
They're still really strong player when it comes to how long users are on their site watching video
And if you're wondering these are the top six online video services
One YouTube
Two Facebook
Three Netflix
Four Instagram
Five snapchat
Six Amazon Instant Video
Facebook live with guests
earlier this year Facebook rolled out the ability to
Allow those who are live-streaming to invite guests on
and now they've extended this feature to where now if you're watching a live stream you
can also request to join in
Instagram has added the future of live streaming with guests on its platform as well
Live streaming with guests is a great opportunity to do Q&A with experts
invite customers for testimonials, or include influencers
all while removing the limitations of distance
Amazon is going up against YouTube
boasting better brand identity and more viewer data when it comes to video advertising
While Amazon can't compete with viewers having only 310 million active monthly viewers
compared to YouTube's 1.5 billion
According to CNBC what they can boast is providing detailed metrics on shopping behaviour
Which is super powerful to say the least
Snapchat has introduced context cards
Which allows you to swipe up on snaps or stories to get more information
if it includes a location specific Geofilter
so for instance if your friend snaps their brunch with the Geo filter
You can swipe up you can see reviews
You can make a reservation and you can even order an uber there
also at snap Inc they recently had two brands launch their first ad shot entirely with Spectacles
the first was Burger King which launched their ad in the US on national cheeseburger day
No way it's the king, whats up king?!
Look at that
And the second was Sainsbury's it's a grocery store chain that launched their ads in the UK
Now let's go over a cool video case about incorporating video and your sales funnel
For today's case I'll be highlighting the three touch points that can be videoifiyied
in your sales communication and companies who are doing this well
The first being Outbound
using video in email is a great opportunity to stand out from a sea of written emails
But don't just take my word for it
Here at StoryMe we try incorporate video in all of our outbound methods
check out this one from our video strategist Arthur
and you may be thinking ok, but does it actually work well check out this response that Arthur received
Arthur created a simple low-cost
Personalized one-minute video and because of it Kinepolis is now client
The second touch point that can and should be videoified is the offer
Visser and Smith had a pitch for six million dollars
And they turned the video to help them close the deal
The video only cost them 2K and with it they were able to close the deal
Which is like an ROI of 3000%
So turn the video to help explain pricing and walk prospects through how you can help them
Lastly delight a touch point that is often overlooked
But leaves a lasting impression
delight videos are a great way to build on business relationships
and show
Prospects and clients that they're more than just a number to you
one example is charity water when people want to unsubscribe from their email
List they receive an email asking if they wish to continue
or if they would rather see their CEO gets soaked with water
of the emails that were sent a hundred unsubscribe but
740 watched the video
Another great example of a delight video is vidyard
They love to use personalization to not only catch your attention but to go the extra mile
Oh,Is this your sandwich
So you want to know about communicating with viewers on a personal level
Talking with each person instead of at a whole mess of them
That'll get you noticed
and Wistia does the same by simply saying Thank you
Hi, there i'm louise and I'm Erica and we just wanted to say
Welcome to Wistia
We are super
super
Super
super excited that you decide to give Wistia a try
take note from these companies and find simple
Personalized and or fun ways to videoifie your sales touch points
now time for some tips and tricks
Here are four tips on using video and your sales emails
one let people know that there's a video
According to syndacast by including the word video and your email subject line
it increases the opening rate by 19 percent
Personally I like to add the little video camera emoji on my subject line
But you can also keep it simple and simply put the word in brackets at the end of your subject line
Two create a personalised
Thumbnail vidyard does a great job at this
with there thumbnails so if you're creating a personalized video for a prospect
catch their attention and entice them to click with a thumbnail with
their name on it
3 make it personal
And if you're short on time and need to target a larger number of people with a video
Make sure you keep it as still as tailored as possible by considering your target audience and focusing on their job function and their pain points
4 Keep it short
of course video entices users to open it, but once they open a video, and they see it's a five-minute video
They'll probably exit out
the point of video is that it's way quicker than long drawn out in emails
So keep it short
and for a bonus tip download soapbox
We've talked about it before on coffee corner
