Yeah, hey Oliver here, Ernest here
so our topic is project manager enthusiasm and can do attitude so our topic
A project manager with a negative attitude can bring down the team likewise a project manager with a positive attitude can elevate the team
enthusiasm can certainly be infectious and project managers who consistently exhibit enthusiasm can create a very positive atmosphere to work in
Many times leading to improvements in team productivity
So these are some of the questions we considered about this topic okay
So the first question was does the project manager always seem to be upbeat even in the worst circumstances
So for this question I used my experience with my supervisor who was kind of like a project manager
She is I would say most of the time positive, but when things do really go wrong
she does show like negative like negative attitude, but and I think that's important because
It like pushes me to work harder because if she's just positive all the time then I'm gonna just think that everything's okay
So it pushes me to work harder, okay, so initially we thought the answer
was going to be yes, it ended up being sometimes. Yeah. Yeah, so the second question was
Is the project manager more inclined to be optimistic than pessimistic?
Again Oliver came up with an example
I think for this one
They need to be the majority time. They need to be optimistic because if they're not it's just gonna really hurt the overall team atmosphere
With my supervisor like I said generally she's really very optimistic, but like I said before she does I'm sure
So we concluded that since the project managers set the pace like they set the tone and
everything they need to always be optimistic. So that the others will also follow
So the third question is do project team members look like they are having fun? But then before we answer this question we'd like
to answer the last question before we move to the third question, so the last question is are team members
enthusiastic about their projects ? So for this one
like most of everybody in my team is very enthusiastic about the projects because they all share a common passion
Which is you know renewable energy clean energy helping the environment
So that goes back to that last question of our team members having fun. They're having fun because they all share that passion and
You know they feed off that that makes a project
The answer would be yes because we share a common passion
In the hiring process our supervisors have made sure that we all share a common passion
Okay, so so that concludes our podcast peace

2017 Legacy Community Health Luncheon Video - Duration: 4:10.
Monday morning's school day routine:
Esther Luster drops off the kids at school...
Bye guys, have a good day!
...before heading off to work.
She's confident they're in good hands at KIPP,
where a top-notch educational environment
includes on-campus health care
at Legacy's School-Based Health Clinics.
Esther/Parent: Emily is pre-asthmatic,
and so sometimes when she starts to get a cold,
she'll start getting this wheezing kind of sound.
And if that happens during the school day,
Emily walks down the hall to the clinic.
Good morning, Emily. How are you?
Are you ready to be seen today?
Legacy staff calls home for permission
to provide medical care and treatment.
She's able to get her treatment here
and go right back to class.
She's not missing any learning time,
and she's comfortable here.
It's nice to not have to worry about
driving across town to come get her
or taking her to the doctor and making sure
there's an appointment for her.
Legacy's School-Based Health Clinics
offer much more than the
conventional visit to a school nurse.
Our providers can prescribe medications
and manage chronic conditions
like asthma, diabetes, or obesity.
And, integrated behavioral health care means
we can offer immediate referrals to a therapist.
Ashley: They don't have to travel outside of the clinic
or search for other services.
You're making it very easy to access.
The parents love it, the kids love it,
and we're able to address a lot of different situations
and problems in the community.
In the five years since Legacy launched
clinics at four schools,
We've expanded to 17 campuses
at KIPP and Yes PREP.
Last year, 5,000 children visited our clinics
for primary and behavioral health care -
both students and their siblings.
We see a lot of patients.
We see a lot of families,
and we're able to not only collaborate
with the therapists, but also
refer them out to other Legacy clinics.
Legacy's Santa Clara clinic
is just down the road
from the kids' school.
It's where Esther comes for her checkups.
It's a Patient-Centered Medical Home
for the entire family - newborns to grandparents -
with complete health care and supportive services.
Dr Lin Dai/Santa Clara: We have patient education,
which includes nutrition,
parenting classes.
We have social services on site.
We have a person who takes care of
prescription medications.
So, well all work together.
Legacy's team commitment to our patients
took root in Montrose nearly 40 years ago,
with volunteers working out of a small home
providing care to the gay community.
Soon after, the AIDS epidemic came to Houston,
and Legacy's grassroots, innovative efforts
to provide treatment, medications and social services
were the catalyst that transformed our organization into what it is today:
Twelve clinics in Greater Houston,
Baytown, Beaumont, and Deer Park,
Where more than 150 thousand people come every year
for comprehensive health care coverage.
In addition to primary care and integrated behavioral health,
Legacy offers vision, dental, wellness,
and HIV education and prevention, and social services.
Connecting our communities to health
includes innovative programs,
like Legacy's Little Readers.
Our providers give away free books
during well-child visits with a prescription to read.
Parents reading aloud with their children
promotes brain development and overall family literacy.
Cyndy Garza/H-E-B: What Legacy is doing giving out
thousands of books, that we at H-E-B are so proud
to be a part of for those young children.
To sit down and see that child read
and see the parent sit down next to them,
and the child read to the parent. They're both learning.
Dedicated corporate and community partners
along with you, our valuable supporters,
are building healthy families.
Thank you for joining Legacy's mission
to drive healthy change in our communities!
