Hello everyone, I'm Sandy Graves and I will be your instructor

for Case Management, Law, and Ethics.

As a teacher, I believe that learning is a process of inquiry that involves the search

for truth, information, knowledge and understanding.

My role is to facilitate your learning by utilizing methods that awaken your curiosity

Learning, your part of the equation, involves generating ideas, acquiring new skills, and

evaluating past learning, then making adjustments to your perceptions after reflecting on that

knowledge.

Besides teaching, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice.

I have also worked for the county of San Diego as a social worker with a lot of clients with

substance abuse problems.

I'll be taking those experiences as a case manager with those real clients to bring to

life the concepts you will be learning during this course.

This course is information heavy which means that there is a ton of information to cover

in the time we have for this course.

This course is fast paced and if you tend to procrastinate assignments, you are probably

going to get left behind.

You will need to keep up with weekly assignments to be successful in this course.

If you are new to online classes there are tutorials on the Canvas webpage that can help

you get acclimated to online learning.

Even if you are a veteran to online learning, if you have not worked with Canvas learning

management system, I highly recommend you review those tutorials.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you over the next few weeks.

I hope you find this course enjoyable, enlightening, and educational.
