Milo Yiannopoulos book deal cancelled following outrage over child abuse comments

Simon & Schuster has cancelled the publication of Milo Yiannopoulos' book, and his fellow Breitbart employees have reportedly threatened to quit if he is not fired.

A statement from the publisher late on Monday said: "After careful consideration, Simon & Schuster and its Threshold Editions imprint have cancelled publication of Dangerous by Milo Yiannopoulos."

Yiannopoulos confirmed the report on Facebook with a post: "They canceled my book." He added: "I've gone through worse. This will not defeat me."

The book was reportedly secured for an advance of US$250,000 (£200,000) and was to be published by Simon & Schuster's conservative imprint, Threshold Editions.

According to Yiannopoulos' Facebook page, the book – an autobiography titled Dangerous – was due out on 13 June.

It is the third book that Yiannopoulos has announced that has not eventuated, after he flagged forthcoming titles on the Gamergate controversy and Silicon Valley that never appeared.

Threshold Editions has been contacted for comment by the Guardian.

Simon & Schuster's decision follows outrage over a recording that appeared to show Yiannopoulos endorsing sex between "younger boys" and older men. The remarks were made during an internet livestream and circulated in an edited video on Twitter.

In the clip, Yiannopoulos said the age of consent was "not this black and white thing" and that relationships "between younger boys and older men … can be hugely positive experiences".

The American Conservative Union subsequently rescinded its invitation to Yiannopoulos to speak at its annual CPac conference over the "offensive video … condoning paedophilia".

Matt Schlapp, the ACU chairman, said Yiannopoulos' response was "insufficient" and urged him to "immediately further address these disturbing comments".

The Washingtonian also reported that employees at Breitbart in the US, where he is a senior editor, were threatening to quit if Yiannopoulos were not fired.

Lostfriesland: Mysterious appearances Lana Jansen - Duration: 3:14.

Hi, my name is Keno Brook.

In this video I want to take you back to November 2010

to reveal more about the mysterious disappearance of six people.

The so called "Lost Frisians".

I believe the following footage was shot at that time.

I showed you this video last week. Her name is Lana Jansen.

The guy who filmed this was another American: Jack Ulman.

"Jack. Where is everybody?"

"C'mon, you're kiddin' me, right?"

"Oh my god!"

"What's going on?"

"Oh god!"

They are missing since November 2010.

Here is all I know so far about Lana Jansen and the other missing people.

Lana is from Minneapolis, MN.

She has german ancestry.

On Nov11th she posts on Facebook "See you soon, home sweet home"

Next thing you find are pictures from her flight

and her arrival in East Frisia.

The album is called "Lostfriesland Fellowship".

I believe the fellowship was sponsored by this strange society.

These folks grabbed my attention earlier in 2010

when they had put out a video for the program.

They removed it.

But on my YouTube Channel you can find a ripped version of it.

I think Lana and Jack saw this trailer and applied for the program.

There are some very well known frisian landmarks in the video.

I recognized this building.

And in November 2010 I decided to go there

and find out more about that secret society.

This is how I saw Lana and the others.

They were six in total.

And I filmed them in disguise.

I believe that this is Lana.

The missing woman from the woods.

And this guy could be Jack Ulman.

I did not find any link to the society.

and I regret that I did not talk to them that day.

I just filmed them secretly.

These two were Lanas and Jacks frisian hosts.

The woman on the left is Greta Menninga.

Two days later they all vanished without a trace.

I'll take you to May 2016 now.

I had been following the case for six years.

Nothing. Until May 20th 2016.

That day the missing Greta Menninga posted this video

mentioning Lana and me.

Ever since that day the seem to haunt me.

I sometimes think I that I am loosing my mind.

I believe I saw them

in some of the places I've blogged about.

And I have the strong feeling that something will happen very soon.

In East Frisia we call this "Vörloop".

Lawyer for Darrelle Revis says TMZ video exonerates his client - Duration: 1:21.

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been charged with a trio of felonies and one misdemeanor stemming from an incident late last Sunday night (Feb. 13) after Revis was involved in an incident that left a pair of men unconscious on the side of the street.

New video emerged on Monday morning that, Revis' attorney believes, will exonerate the cornerback from any wrongdoing.

Revis was charged with "robbery, terroristic threats, conspiracy and aggravated assault," leading to the conclusion that the Aliquippa native may have been directly responsible for any alleged assault against the two men.

The new video, which was uncovered by TMZ Sports, features a man, who cannot be seen but who does not sound like Revis, yelling in an obscene fashion about how he knocked out the two men lying on the street.

In the video, which is very much not safe for work because of the language involved, the man can be heard yelling at other pedestrians around the scene -- who appear to have their hands in the air wondering what happened -- and bragging about how he "knocked both these" guys out.

"Hey! I knocked both these m----f----s out! Both of them!" the man yells. "They both asleep! Shut up before I knock your a-- out next. Both of you shut up."

Upon seeing the video, attorneys Robert G. Del Greco Jr. and Mark Fiorilli said in a statement (via USA Today) that Revis is innocent.

"Darrelle Revis absolutely, categorically and positively did not knock out anyone, did not conspire with anyone to commit an assault, did not say 'shut up before I knock your ass out next,' and surely did not 'rob' another of a cell phone.

The voice and admissions made on the video are NOT that of Darrelle Revis. We have no doubt but that further investigation relative to the clothing and voice verification will corroborate the above assertions."

Revis has done a lot of speaking and has been filmed yelling a lot -- that's the nature of being a star NFL player. And while it's impossible to be certain, the man in the video does not sound like Revis.

According to the initial police report, there was a second man who came to Revis' assistance during the incident.

From the report: A verbal argument followed. A male came to assist Revis. Both the 22-year-old and the 21-year-old state they were punched then remember waking up to talk to police. Witnesses state the two were unconscious for about 10 minutes.

So it's entirely possible that Revis had the encounter with the two men, was filmed by the men, proceeded to throw their phone into the street, then got assistance from the man on the video who, as he boasts, knocked the gentlemen out.

That would be good news of sorts for Revis, because it means he would have an opportunity to get out from under the charges he's currently facing.
