welcome to our continuing coverage of
shot show 2017 that's right the shooting
hunting outdoor trade show in las vegas
nevada with almost 65,000 people in
attendance and thousands upon thousands
of brand-new products
we're going to cover it throughout the
week with regular updates so stay tuned
Hi. This is Joel Persinger. I'm the GunGuy.
thank you very much for watching my
videos I really appreciate it
it's the last day of shot show are you
glad Ron it's finally here
it's finally here for you know we're all
tired but it's been a terrific show
about 65,000 people attending and that's
really great to be here with Ron at
inland whether it's not want to stop by
here is because it's shot show you
learned very quickly that you're going
to find every variety of ar-15 no demand
and you finally get to the point where
you say i'd like to look at something
else and I felt like when I walked in
this food that i had stepped back in
time what Rhonda knows that we had met
about three years ago when he only had
what you have I think two or three role
models
yeah III morrowind a tremendously
jasmine so tell me a little bit about
inland and the kinds of products that
you built for kevin was originally a
division of general motors of founded
back in nineteen try to buy the Wright
brothers Charles Kettering and other
problem members of the dayton area to
start building steering wheels for the
that use creations on the automobile I
should probably clarify that you are
about the same age we were born
definitely were not born bike and what
you know we were not back there that
being a native update date no hiyo
implement synonymous with anything we've
done with firearms were always heard
about the m1 carbine I saw their buying
the world knew about and London there uh
what they did with a support during
world war two several years ago we
acquired the inland name was brought it
back to it was dissolved several years
ago by carol motors would have merged
with several other city areas and
general motors and became help like so
what people didn't want to surprise
people didn't realize how important and
the was during the war effort but we'll
cover more to in fact during world war
two enemies became the largest
manufacturer of firearms in the United
States while I did not know I did not
know and uh the Winchester was awarded
the contract built in one car vein which
was it has been our flagship model now
this you had three years ago when we met
yeah we start off with a ladder build
the m1 carbine has gone through numerous
changes during the four years of of
manufacturing during world war two and
we chose to go with the 1944 1945 last
few years to build and the Winchester
was originally awarded the contract back
in the late 30s and they were unable to
fulfill it and stepped up to the plate
and supportive in weather and end up
building up there was ten contractors
and built-in one carving and one being
the largest out of these are brand-new
these are brand-new yeah either
brand-new we're trying to build them as
close to the original inland my carving
as possible with numerical value
technology new metallurgy and the one
thing offshore liked of impressive we
worked real hard to maintain an
historical accuracy
there's one area we've been unable to
accomplish and that is the accuracy the
original at the m1 carbine was good for
about four to six minutes group at a
hundred yard and uh well I guess I get a
surprise we're only getting engine
happened to overhear over when you try
to make that worse but you get mad yeah
we got that we have very on how to do
that so and what's up what I like doing
in the arms of the platform is take a
specific model and see how many
different variations we come up with it
so that weekend we've got different
flavors of it and are not each gun
not every going to do for everybody it
gives an opportunity to go through some
of the different historic modest was of
a departure from the original is our
version of the or we call the advisor at
the name on physical and we face this on
a model
where the advisors can get our mara by
the way the m1 parking was used from
world war two always through the it off
right
the advisors come in into the Vietnam
would typically get issue something like
this which is the m1a1 it's a
paratrooper model only is only
manufactured by n1 they would take this
rifle and bob it down shut it down to
fiscal scalp putrefies and with a
folding stock that made a really compact
personal defense weapon we want step
further we made it turn into a person
illegal ATF of pistol without a folding
stock and and and pistol sighs and looks
great little platform and the
performance of the 30 carving best way
to describe it's like a 357 Magnum on
steroid right so with this you gotta
basically a 3.79 semi-auto that put
people to improve the crews been around
a lot but they should be patient if it
is what authority does problem with that
so many people would compare 30 carbon
230 out six which was the caliber for
the m1 garand not apparent its kind of
comparison then the m1 carbine was
designed to replace the 1911 of the
automatic for the people who didn't have
that did not have the proficient and
getting scaling through the rear guard
officers people who this would-be issue
in 1911 they could master the physical
craft that so they would give up in one
car game and it was a very effective
platform using a specific style
cartridge out of a hundred yards out and
exceed hundred yards then when they
would compare this to the 30 out six
which is a tremendous platform out 2,000
meters
there's no comparison of Derek however
there's been a recent study done on the
m1 carbine is responsible for more enemy
of engagement and stopping any uh attack
than any other firearm in military
history
that is amazing and I know a lot of
people in late and unfortunately with
the into a full audio version came out a
lot of hard world war two and was a
prominent through that Korea and Vietnam
people had 22 flip it on full auto let
go as well I shop shop the guide nine
times when they might have shot at him
nine times but anyway they didn't hit
anyone hit I guarantee you a hundred
yards us I don't get hit but I don't get
hit by one thirty hard but i don't wanna
be a bit of it is there's been a lot of
space where of the claims that the
Chinese surge during that Korea with her
heavy wool clothing which doctor 30
carbon around its fault
there's been a lot of studies done of
that was a duplicate or replicated that
engagement and the 30 carbine punches
right through it stopped 36 w it's not
going to stop and distract em castelo
well who was from the most noted
gunfighters and law enforcement history
he is part of the task force in New York
City be found at number 11 shots top one
shot deal with his will cut down in one
car being of it using a Winchester soft
tip and that was his go-to done that you
have a brand-new model here don't you
yes we do do for this year is RT 30 this
the copy of the m1 p3 that was a calorie
was a sniper carbine rifle develop
latter part of world war two so long
service and create Vietnam most
typically seeing in the m3 variation
which is full auto don't have the
infrared light system monitor over the
t3 was the earlier version that was
semi-auto we chose to replicate that use
the red-billed style face that's
actually welded onto the receiver as it
gives a lot more rigid a lot more
stability a lot more stability now we
married it to the hilux m82 scope which
is a very correct vintage soft scope for
this platform this look this is a copy
of the last alignment that was quite
often found on
grando 3 during World War two you've
also got some other toys over there we
want to go look at it yes we do
ok so we're going to go look at what
you're looking at handguns and shotguns
are we looking at some handguns and
shotguns I like guns like I'm like a 66
year old child you know that right well
we're gonna go look at the handgun the
shotgun shell stick with us we look over
here where the handguns are and then
below us down here
ron has a surprise for us in a minute
but before we look at that we want to
look at some 1911 and some other great
guns at lunch got what you got over here
well my first 1911 was the government
bottle 1 a good companion for the m1
carbine it only makes sense which come
out help with my experience in the past
with shooting knocking up always had a
passion for the 1911 and a better in my
opinion it comments and you two are you
can be shocked but knowledge for
watching love is greater reason why
thats hanging around for over a hundred
years right now a lot of people say well
and will never build a 1911 well I'm
here to tell you this 1911 is a hundred
percent accurate reproduction of the
nike love that could have built they
wanted to never had a contrite actually
they did in a digital of 1911 they use a
design laminated and I feel that was
like cut and it was riveted together and
it didn't work so well we will talk
about that so we don't go see that that
bottle that out actually i'm not going
I'm going to leave that however during
that time frame and then also build
another oh by the way back on this
crucial for some 49 retail it's a
hundred percent made us all the products
we switch everything in the United
states-led uh this is a hundred percent
us-made retail 749
as long as the final shooting government
policy love Jean put in your hand that's
a great price for a 1911 and grill right
here in the same time frames that they
were developed except 1911 they also did
what was called The Liberator ok they
derive deliberated pistol that was built
by a guide last in Indiana and they
built over a million of those yeah well
this year we released our version of how
much better liberators little better
built the original Liberator it took
longer to build it always loved it and
it didn't build it so this is actually
did a partnership with the original only
went bang once that i'm not sure it
would fire second time this one is based
on a little grill derringer bond arms
which bond arms have been building
derringers for a few years I don't like
establishing good positive relationships
and partnerships with other gun
companies right that's the same thing
Emily did during World War two
so we're following the same thought
process with us we're doing the
Liberator it's been 45 acp we are coming
out with another caliber in the near
future but for now we're going to think
that the 45 acp which the original
Liberator was great little great low
handgun and it retails for 495 now
speaking of partnerships we have had
tremendous part of a great partnership
with another gun company that moved to
Ohio recently and that's it
wonder who that could be we want to know
we've got the government model 1911 yeah
we've got great car being I want to
round out that whole package with a nice
shotgun and made great shotguns but one
in particular there's one always stood
out my mind
former law enforcement or military and
back in the day and I think we're about
the same age but always wish we could
have carried ethical model 37 absolutely
we didn't get the chance to carry it
I've got an opportunity to build it
absolutely
we partnered with Erica of upper
sandusky ohio and this is a our version
of the World War teen Style actually
through World War to be all the way
through Vietnam the model 37 trench coat
the bottom feed bottom inject bottom
feed the original get right and chamber
and 3-inch magnums the original was two
and three quarters right everybody out
well will it slam fire and for those who
don't understand what strand fire is
looking good old model 37 ithaca you
hold the trigger down and just as fast
as you pump it manages its the heck the
street sweeper
yeah but what we used to call the
hallway broom
you got it that's right and the our
version of the ethical model 37 does not
come with the entire capability as it is
shift
why do I feel there's a button here so
there is a boat in there we are working
with this good to develop a new trigger
group does don't allow that features uh
that's the aftermarket for the customers
house standing that's going to be great
now you want to tell you my son is
left-handed and he loves a bottom eject
bottom feed shotgun for that reason he's
actually are not being detected by space
that is correct if he were here when
she's not going to have to work
unfortunately we were here he'd be all
over that now that it's open the great
shotgun we've had a lot of tremendous
reviews with this is just very happy
have our lineup that you have something
that I believe very strongly because you
know we're hearing aids 500 my whole
life kind of you know shot shot at this
appears history and bird hunting and
everything you know that in the days
where on the range and hearing
protection what was that what was that
right what exactly and that's why i'm
saying that now what you know if I don't
have these I can't hear my daughter
cancer my wife hearing protection is
vital and
in this country we need something like
you've got in your hands so once you
tell us about that absolutely we've been
i've been working with suppressor
designs of development for over 40 years
I've never offered a retail product
always most my pocket for military and
law enforcement applications they're
doing anything for retail for numerous
reasons but the with the potential of
deregulation of oppressors of
opportunity we've got coming forward
I couldn't wait any longer so we've
developed a new pressure line we're
starting it off with our amplifier which
I feel every shooter should start
shooting with a rimfire suppressor right
I think I tend to agree we added it it
does not prove three programs
subconscious state to planche door to
worry about that concussion
it makes a better shooter it's safer and
it's a better on the ears and why do I
want my kids or or my wife or any new
shooter to immediately have to deal with
that concussion and or immediately risk
losing exactly right so there's been
several issues i've had with the
suppressor industry and and over the
years because of the legislation and and
the laws required it's driven the
practice of the pressure is high i want
to come up in weight so we could build
an effective of the pressure that was
cost-effective as well you know what
we've done we start with the PM 22 this
is a very unique design that has a
specifically for empire waist a
three-and-a-half ounces
I'm not halt three-and-a-half analysis
your heart we don't know it's there and
we were able to do that is we're using
polymer monolithic of monolithic court
could host it at a model court that
means they made out of plastic via and
an issue we've had with rimfire as
pressure for years we have to clean up
with this design on this is very simple
you can't screw it up by throwing the
battles in wrong there's only one way to
go in and what really makes us even
more effective is we've included a
design this year we've released with the
suppressor foam with 54 suppressors
another project I've been working off
with 15 years this will actually allow
you to foam suppressor and one
suppressor what we call when you drive
pressure is very effective but when
you've got a wet HS now cool those the
National gases eliminate the first shot
pop so that's even more quiet on a to
pressure from what we do to sound level
3 25 decibels about any suppressor and
with this pressure is extremely
effective and the suppressor phone is
water soluble so when you get through
shooting and all the dirty contaminants
four layers that maybe often go you
rinse it off the hot-water you're good
to go
wow so it's legit and are suggested
retail partial notice 189 don't ask
don't include it will help careful
good grief that's awesome not if you you
may not know but there is a bill going
to Congress right now designed
specifically to take suppressors off the
end if they list so they can be
purchased by law abiding citizens for
the purpose of saving their hearing
because they're great tools other
countries in the world are ahead of us
on this were the United States we have
to be ahead of everybody on are going
ahead of us in some countries you're not
allowed to fire firearm outdoors and an
outdoor range with nautical suppressor
yes I see because it costs people
hearing another irritating and think
about how many ranges have people who
live close to the range to complain
about the noise all the time and the
boys would go away and Jack would just
get these tools in the hands of ranges
in the hands of America absolutely
purged you contact your senator contact
your your
your congressperson and urge them to
support that bill so that we can get
these things in the hands of law abiding
citizens we could have people grow up
the old farts like me and not have to
wear hearing age because they wanted to
fix our lives but they did they did it
with suppression so thank you very much
for building on you going to joy and
really good angel and I appreciate so
much the time that you spent with me
today i will put a link to your website
in the description so if you're looking
for that you want to find let's look in
the description of lakes will be there
and stick around with me we'll have more
updates from shot show the meantime we
say
