Waching daily Feb 14 2017

Hi everyone, welcome back. I'm going to

do a tag video today. I don't remember the

last time I did a tag video, I think I might

have only done one since the beginning of my channel.

I just want to do one, I saw Sophie Carlon

do the rapid fire book tag so I will link her

video down below but I believe the original

was created by GirlReading so I'll also

link that video below.

So I've got the questions here on my phone so I'll

just go through them. I think I want to

do a tag but I kind of liked the idea

of this one because it's rapid fire so

you're not supposed to prepare the

answers, you're supposed to just say what you think when

you read the questions. And videos that

involve no preparation are always my

favorite kind. The first question is "e- book

or physical book?" and I think it's pretty obvious,

I'm surrounded by quite a lot of physical books

right now.

I do have a kindle and I do like

reading e-books but I just really enjoy

physical books. I enjoy the feel of them,

I enjoy the experience of reading them,

I enjoy having them on my shelves and looking at them.

I just do so I do buy books on my

kindle and do read them on there but most

of the time I buy physical books.

"Paperback or hardback?" Paperback. I do

have quite a lot of hardbacks now but

I have always hated hardbacks and

actually until maybe two years ago,

I hardly had any and if I could avoid it, I

would not have a hardback. But since

I've got into buying new releases you don't always

have the choice so yeah paperback. "Online or

in-store book shopping?" I would love to

have really good bookshops near me but the

nearest good book is like an hour and a bit

more drive away and there are like no

independent bookshops around me. I think

the nearest one is around 50 miles

away so I would prefer to buy in-store

and I do whenever I can but I

probably buy more online. "Trilogies or

series?" I'm going to go with series because I think

trilogies often suffer with second book

syndrome and the second book sucks. So series but

then there's a lot more books to read and it's difficult

keeping up with the series. "Heroes or villains?"

Villains. Heroes, I think, are boring. I do quite

like an anti-hero but I tend to get more

emotion from a book if I'm hating on

someone. "A book you want everyone to read?"

Ooh I really should have prepared for this. I'm going to go

with Night Waking by Sarah Moss because that

that was my favourite book of last year. Granted, Sarah

Moss does not need any more promotion in

books spheres right now but

I think that is a really good book

and I think it has a lot of themes that can

appeal to a lot of different people so

I will say Nigh Waking. "Recommend an

underrated book" Erm The Garden of

Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng. I don't

think enough people talk about him

as an author and he's brilliant.

"The last book you finished?" Bird Box by Josh Malerman, it was excellent.

I'm going to have to insert all of these books as

like images because I literally didn't

read through these questions until I wassat

right here so it's still next to my bed in

the other room.

"The last book you bought?" I actually

have that one here because I just talked

about it in my January wrap up. That is the

Underground Railroad by Colson

Whitehead. I haven't bought any books

since I bought that in maybe the second week of

January because it's my birthday

coming up,

well it's my birthday tomorrow and I didn't

want to buy a books that someone else might buy me.

"The weirdest thing you've used as a bookmark?" I don't think I've used

any weird things as a bookmark. I read an article

and someone shared on twitter the other day that

was the wierdest things that librarians have

found inside books which I assume were things people used as

bookmarks and left them. An alarming

amount of meat! Like why would you use a piece

of bacon as a bookmark? So I've not used anything as

wierd as that but I did you use this

dinosaur as a bookmark,

sort of. I used his head to prop open Bird Box

yesterday when I needed to go and answer the phone.

So this is the weirdest thing I've used as a bookmark.

"Used books: Yes or no?" Yes! I tend to buy

most of my books new but

I do buy some used especially if I'm not sure if I'll

like it and it's quite expensive to buy new,

I'll buy it second hand. And generally I think

buying books second hand is a great idea.

One of the book shops in my local town

is actually an Oxfam second hand book

shop so I do get books from there sometimes.

"Top three favourite genres?" Erm.....

It's always difficult because literary

fiction makes up a lot of what I

read but it's not a genre as such. I would

say like magical realism/fabulist

fiction, fantasy and children books. I

don't read huge amount of children's books but the ones that I do read,

I tend to really enjoy. "Borrow or buy?" Buy

for me. I don't know anyone that lives even

close to me that has a physical collection of

books that I would be able to borrow from and

and I don't actually use my local library

that much which is quite bad but I do

tend to buy most of my books. "Characters

or plot?" That's really difficult because

it tends to depend on what kind of mood

I'm in. Sometimes I like a slow story

where nothing happens and you get to

really like the characters and the

development of them but if I want

something that's going to take my

attention, is going to keep you turning the

pages that it has to be plot. I constantly

oscillate between the two and obviously a

combination of both is the best but I think

that's kinda cheating. "Long or short books?" Short book?

Oh I don't know! I like short books

because I like that feeling of

completion and of getting through them and

when an author can pack a good

well-rounded story or whatever is they're trying to

accomplished in to a short book format,

I'm always really impressed. But I do really

enjoy really sinking into a long book

but then I feel intimidated by long books

because I feel like they'll take me a long time to read and then I don't read them

as much. So if I had to pick what I read the most,

it would be short books. A few years

ago I was disappointed if a book was

less than a thousand pages because I used

to read just epic fantasy and a lot of the

books I read were very long. So if it was like

less than a thousand pages

I was like quite disappointed but now

probably say short books but a mix of the two.

"Long or short chapters?" Short chapters.

I hate long chapters, sometimes I just

need a marker of like where I'm up to with

reading, it gives me the feeling that I want to

carry on reading. So if you've got a

chapter that's like fifty pages long,

I just get really annoyed. "Name the first three books

you think of" Erm... [stumbles over book name]

The Girl Who Circumnavigated

Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M.

Valente because I just looked at that over there,

The Inconvenient Indian by Thomas

King because that's what I'm reading at the moment and..

Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobbs because

that just came to my mind. "Books that make you laugh

or cry?" Books that make me cry. I don't really

like humorous books, I don't mind a bit of humour

but I just, I don't know if sometimes it

just doesn't come across in a written format to

me but I often just sit there like

why iis this supposed to be funny?

Where as if anything is even remotely sad, I will

probably cry. "Our world or fictional

worlds?" That's another difficult one.

Ultimately I'll probably have to say fictional worlds

because I just love the creativity of

people thinking up alternative worlds and

being able to write them in a full and

descriptive way but sometimes books

set in our world have more impact. But

fictional worlds give you more escapism

so I would go with fictional worlds.

"Audiobooks: Yes or no?" Yes. I sometimes read audio

books I haven't been reading or listening to

a lot at the moment because the things I

used to do when I was listening to

audiobooks, I've not had to do as much so

I used to commute a lot and I've not had to do

that as much recently so I've not been listening to them

as much. But generally, I really like having

an alternative format in which to consume

books and it really annoys me when people say that

audiobooks don't count as reading real books.

If somebody else wants to listen to

audiobooks instead of read it, like everyone

consumes media differently so why does it

bother you? I don't know but yes

audiobooks, yes. "Do you ever judge a book by

it's cover?"

Not really, I will always look at what

the story is like but if the book has a

beautiful cover

it might catch my eye and make me

want to look into it more, I do enjoy

really beautiful covers. But ultimately it's

always the story inside that matters. Sorry

if you can hear like noise over there, it's my cat

letting himself into the room. He can

open doors. "Book to movie or book to TV

adaptations?" Book to TV definitely. I don't

really watch a lot of films and I'm always

very interested when I hear people

talking about all the films that they

like and how it compares to the books

they enjoy. But if something's a

TV adaptation, I'll probably watch it but if its

a film I'm likely not to. I also think the

scope for adapting books into TV

series is better whereas if you try to

adapt a book into a film you've got a

quite short timeframe to pack it all into so I

would go for TV adaptation. "A movie or

TV show you preferred to it's book?"

The Hunger Games... is that sacriligeous to say? I quite

liked the films of The hunger Games but I thought

the books were quite forgettable.

I don't hate them but I would watch the films again

again but I probably wouldn't

re-read the book. And the last

question is "Series or standalones?" I'll

probably go for standalones. Again if you'd asked me a

few years ago, I never read standalones, if it was just

a standalone book, I wouldn't have read it

because all of things I read were epic fantasy

series. But now I would probably say

standalones.

That's what I read the most of and I find it

difficult to keep up with a series now because I

read more books and more variety of

different books but I do enjoy being

able to really... I do enjoy that feeling of

being able to get attached to worlds or

characters and stories and being able to follow

them on that you get from series. But I read

a lot more standalones so yeah standalones.

So thosee were all the questions, I don't know how

well I'm answered any of them because I

didn't prepare.

But that was the whole point of the tag so it's

alright... it's ok that I haven't done my homework.

I'm not going to tag anyone specific because I'm crap

at tagging people and I always worry that I'll be

bugging people that don't want to do it or

whatever but if you want to do this

tag or you just want to do any tag then consider

yourself tagged by me. Thank you for

watching and I'll see you in the next

video. Bye!

How To Operate An Forestmachine (w. subs) - Duration: 20:02.

Ok, today we'll say hi Slurfi (who requested this video) because today I'll, visiting Pär Jonsson (bodaedet).

Catch along now to learn how to operate and forestmachine.

Let's start off to say that we are sitting in an Rottne H8, an small harvester made for in-stand thinning of forest.

So this will be an review of how You drive an Rottne harvester.

What do you think Pär, shall we start off with panel down at the radio? What do you control there?

Pär: Leftmost we have the main switch for the battery.

Then we have position light switch.

Then we have switch for the working light in the engine compartment.

After that we have hazard light switch.

The next one the switch for internal refueling. This machine has two diesel tanks and the engine sucks diesel from the second tank and then you refuel the first tank manually.

The next switch is crane off and on (this is not used that often).

Then we have the main switch for the bucking computer.

Do you switch off the computer with this switch when you go home for the day?

Pär: No, I'm only using the main power switch, I guess that is quite common.

Then we have the touchscreen for the bucking computer which is an "Dasa 5".

The bucking computer also have an keyboard that you use when starting an new cutting area.

I do not think that we'll do an deeper review of the bucking computer (it is quite complex).

Moreover we have an ordinary ignition switch to start the diesel engine in the back.

Furthermore you have the control panels for the Webasto pre-heater and cabin climate control (ECC).

The panel on the right then. Pär: first we have the switch for the vacuum pump for the hydralics.

Fredrik: When do you use this? Pär: It is when you need to replace an hydralic hose, to minimize waste of oil.

This is for the windscreen wiper. When this switch is on, the wiper stops in the middle of the windshield.

Yes, and this is called "winter mode" to keep the rubber warm right? Pär Exactly.

Then we have windscreen washer, left, windscreen and right.

Then we have switches for the windscreen wipers and interval knob for the wipers.

Then there's the potentiometer for the differential of the transmission.

When placed att "100" it has 50/50 differential between back and front wheel pair.

For me it is always on "100".

The next switch seems well-used.

This is a safety switch controlled by the door. After the door has been open you need to activate crane and machine with this button.

With this switch you active the transmission, crane and harvester head.

This switch also has an test-mode where all functions can be used at reduced speed and open door.

This function is useful when you must look for hydralic leakage in the harvester head for example.

Emergency Stop, the big red knob.

Beside you have the gear selector for the transmission. The machine has three gears.

Third gear is two-wheel drive only (rabbit) and is only use when transport on public roads.

First gear is fully 4WD and the terrain gear. When working we always run on first gear.

And last we have working light switches. This machine has xenon lights.

And then we have the machine computer, maybe we can have a look at that.

Pär: On the home screen you can monitor the most important parametres.

Hydraulic oil temp, motor temp, diesel quantity, battery voltage, transmission oil temp, transmission oil level.

Before we walk through the mini-levers we maybe can review the cabin floor?

Yes, first we have what I call the break pedal. This pedal stops the feeding of the harvester head at any time.

And with this pedal active you also manually can control the feeding mechanism with on of the mini-levers.

Then we have manual control of the crane tower tilt, up and down. Fredrik: when you want to adjust it manually?

Pär: Yes, it is controlled automatically but sometimes you may need to adjust the angle when harvesting.

Brake pedal; which is never used, it is always full speed ahead!

Then we have the throttle which also controls the speed as with an car with automatic gearbox.

The small pedal on the throttle is fast reverse, when pushed on the machine goes reverse.

Fredrik: Yes, that is a neat function to minimize the use of the hands when handling the machine.

Fredrik: Can you tell us why you don't need to use the brake?

Pär: Yes, as soon as I release the throttle the machine breaks automatic on all four wheels.

Fredrik: Yes, and this is standard in the business nowadays and it's well worth saying that the breaks are heavy duty, when it stops it stops.

Yes, shall we proceed with maybe the most important in the cabin, the palettes.

Pär: Yes, first of we have the joystick for the leveling of the machine. Onwards, front wheels down, backwards, front wheels up.

Sideways tilts the machine in the same direction.

Then we have rear wheels up and down.

This button is the automatic leveler. I never use this but it can come in hand for some.

Here we have the cruise control button that can be used on road, works as CC for cars.

Here is the directional control switches. "D", "N" and "R". As said before I put it in "D" and keep it like that.

Here we have the switches in the front of the mini-levers.

Controlling the harvester head: Tilt up, tilt down, saw, SHIFT, and what do we have here?

Fredrik: Maybe it is pulse controlled opening of the delimbing knifes?

Pär: Yes, that is correct.

SHIFT along with the second button activates Multi Tree Handling in the bucking computer.

And then we have the mini lever on the right side.

Top button is where you choose wood species that are cutted, single press, pine, double tap: spruce, SHIFT + single tap: birch

Second button is assortment, one tap: pulp wood, double tap: decayed spruce. SHIFT + single tap: firewood and SHIFT + double tap, special assortment 3,7 metres.

Third button is timber modules (length) increase or decrease if there are e.g bends on the stem.

If the bucking computer estimates an 49 dm long timber piece and I see an bend at the end I can tap once on the button and the computer chooses the nearest module.

Then we have the stop button. This button stops the harvester head immediately.

If I double tap on this button the harvester head releases the tree and rises up and prepares for a new tree.

The last button starts the automatic bucking process where the computer calculates the best paid sortiment

The computer estimates logs depending on tree diameter and species.

Fredrik: And to start on automatic is de facto standard today.

Pär: Yes, and the auto start I also have via the sequential function in the rocker right here.

When I start with one tap on the lower rocker the harvester head grips the tree.

When I tap the second time the saw cuts the tree down.

If I press a third time the automatic bucking process starts and the harvester head start to delimb and feed the tree.

When the bucking computer has stopped the head at a given length I can press a fourth time and the head cuts the log.

Pär: It's as simple as that!

Fredrik: Yes. And you also have a couple of sliding potentiometers on the palettes.

Pär: Yes, they controls the differential and the transmission speed.

Over here we have a button for constant working RPM on the engine.

Next there is a button for speed-dependent differential and above full-diff (choose the best for you).

When on speed-dependent diff. it diffs the transmission in slow speeds and releases on higher speed.

The full-diff or as we say in Sweden "Norrlandsdiff" uses the preset value the whole range.

Most of the times I use the speed-dependent differential.

Then when we have quick-button for the windshield wiper and rearview camera on and off.

Then I have a button to control the colour marking on the logs.

A single tap sprays red, double tap sprays blue colour. This is manually, the computer also sprays automatically

Timber gets sprayed red and deqayed spruce gets a blue colour. This function is to ease the work for the forwarder who picks up the logs in the forest.

The mini-joystick on the right palette is for the machine stearing. Almost every harvester has articulated steering

And then we have the functions of the mini-levers that controls the crane. They are standard today.

This function on the left mini-lever controls the outer boom, out and in.

Then there is crane slewing, left and right.

And on the left rocker I have the telescopic function of the outer boom.

On the right mini-lever we first have the rotator, slewing left and right.

And then we have lift of the main boom, up and down.

And the rocker on the right side controls the harvester head, close and open delimbing knifes and feed rollers.

Yes, that function is used to actuate the harvester head to the tree being cutted and also sequential function.

Yes, that's how it looks. I don't know waht you're saying Slurfi but this is a piece of cake!

Pär: Absolutely, make a copy of the video and bring it to the harvester.

Fredrik: This is going to be great, you will see some clips when Pär is driving as well.

I would like to thank you Pär for taking your time to do this.

See you all!

Walther Lever Action Tuning 01 - Wells Fargo remove imprint - Duration: 4:15.

Walther Lever Action.

Model: Wells Fargo.

Replica of an Winchester 1894.

Wells Fargo, so we would be right on the topic.

Who or what is wells fargo?

Wells fargo, once the greatest stagecoach company in the USA at the time of the wild west.

And how one can recognize on the receiver, there is a imprint of a stagecoach

and umarex / walther would like to remind you of the wild times of the stagecoach raids.

My opinion:

this imprint could also be omitted, because i think it's pretty kitschy and i don't like it.

I think with this opinion i'am not allone.

Already at the purchase i was sure, wich i somehow remove the imprint.

For this i found a solution an that i show you now!

So. All what you need to remove the imprint is a razor blade!

With this razer blade you scrap (CAREFUL!) the imprint from the receiver like so.

Keep a flat angle!

Scrap not high, but flat like so.

It's also important that you take a NEW razer blade to avoid scratches on your receiver!

Don't take any scissors, knife or something similar, but please take a unused razer blade!

So the video does not get boring,

i show you the remove from now in timelapse.

Ok! That's it! That did not even in 10 Minutes. That was quickly done.

I think the resault is impressive and it's shows good.

If you look here more accurate, you can see minimal wear marks in this area. This can not be avoided.

The overall result is definitely acceptable

I have no deep scratches or something like that, that's ok.

You can still see a spot here

I hope you can see it.

there shimmers trough the silver of the receiver.

This was not caused by the razor blade

thats from a polish!

I have tried in another test to remove the imprint with polish and this has gone wrong!

For this i used a simple car polish, speed polish from A1.

Which I have applied here and after removing i have this rubbed area :(

From polish i will definitely advise you!

Use the razer blade, that worked well ;)

I hope, i can help you

Thanks for watching!
