【5S Case Study】5S Application at Home and 5S Tool Template Introduction - Duration: 5:16.
Today I'll introduce a 5S case study and a powerful 5S tool template.

Hi, this is Mike Negami, Lean Sigma Black Belt.
I talked about 5S basics in the previous video.
If you haven't seen it yet, please click this link and watch the video.
You may have thought that a 5S project is too large for you to relate to.
I actually practiced 5S in organizing my kitchen at home and succeeded, so I would like to
report about it today.
was our kitchen before executing 5S.
Actually, we had a big cleaning of this kitchen 2 months ago, but it's already become untidy.
This is the "After".
Now our kitchen is very tidy and much more functional.
Let me reflect on our last cleaning along the 5S concept.
Last time, we did well on the 'Sort' step, which separates kept items and thrown-away
items, and on the 'Scrub' step, which cleans surfaces.
In the 'Set in order' step, we did set up each item's place, but we didn't display the
names of the items.
Also, we didn't do anything about either the 'Standardize' step, which applies the PDCA
Cycle or the 'Sustain' step, which raises the awareness of family members.
If you neglect those steps, you'll return to square one like this time.
At that time, we didn't think about 5S at all.
This time, we followed each of 5S's steps thoroughly.
In addition, I created a very powerful tool template to support our small 5S project,
so I'll also introduce it today.

Please use it and give me your feedback.
In the "Sort" step, decide the criteria of keep and throw-away before your red tagging.
We decided for food, if the expiration date expires, we'll throw it away.
Also, if we haven't used something in the next 6 months, we'll throw it away too.
This is the tool template.
Click this button, then, it'll ask your expiration date.
For us, I typed a date 6 months from now.
Then, after entering the number of columns and rows of your label paper and lengths of
margins, you can print red tag labels.
We sorted out all items in the kitchen with these labels.
The next step is "Set in order", which we couldn't do well last time.
Decide the best storage place for each item group and display the group names.
You can make those name labels with this tool too.
Type the group names here and click this button to print them.
I stick the labels on like this.
This was more effective than I thought.
Now when we put away something new, we notice the labels, so we've been able to maintain
this organization.
The 3rd step is 'Scrub'.
We cleaned the counters and the shelves.
At the 4th step, 'Standardize', create a mechanism to maintain the first 3S's.
You should write down the system on paper.
We've decided this way: "The night before going to the grocery store, we take food inventory
and at the same time, we check 3S's are maintained and tidy up if needed."
The last step, "Sustain", is for nurturing everyone to follow the rules we've decided
on.
This time, I couldn't think of anything major for this, so I'll think of improvement plans
by looking at the future situation.
Although it has been only two weeks since the 5S implementation, I'm confident to maintain
this level of organization.

Hello everyone welcome to my new tutorial!!
Today i explaine you how to improve
your gopro video quality,
with the Protune actived.
In this guide i will use Adobe Premiere Pro CC
but that's okay any other video editing program
In case you have chosen GoPro Studio,
i will make guides "Step by Step" for this program
But before we start, Premise 2 things...
1°- I will use no complicated settings
like ProcAmp, Lumetri and others..
but simple things like brightness & contrast, saturation, sharpness, and so on
That does not mean the final result is not very good!!
2° - The Protune actived. Why Protune??
Because, the neutral color profile (Flat)
It allows to have a greater flexibility in editing.
Ok, now we can start!
As you can see, I have two clips
A clip at sunset and another in the afternoon,
with lots of sunshine and therefore a strong contrast!
We start with the clip at sunset,
go to "Effetti"
then "Effetti video", -> "Correzzione colore" (Color Correction)
and "Luminosità e contrasto", drag and drop on clip
For people like me who have the version 2017 of Premiere Pro CC
Some of effects are not viewable
therefore, now search with a "search button"
Correttore colore a tre vie "Three way color corrector"
Drag and Drop on clip
Now "RGB Curves", and drag and drop
"Useless context"
Now, we return on "Effetti video" -> "Sfocatura e contrasto"
->"Nitidezza" (sharpness) and drag and drop
OK, now go to "Controllo Effetti"
Here there are all settings!!
Now start with "Luminosità e contrasto"
here, there are the values
for change, you can drag
or click and write the desired value.
In this case, i try to start with value 15
And have a more contrast/color
With the "Luminosità" (Brightness)
i try a negative value, -15.
Already it has a little more fullness, keeping in mind that it was Sunset, so could not be much enlightened.
Now, go to "Correttore colore a tre vie" (Three way color correction)
and go to "saturazione" (Saturation)
Focus on "Saturazione Principale" & "Saturazione mezzitoni"
Be careful not to exaggerate it
if increased so much, it becomes too saturated and is very ugly
For reset the value, click on this button.
On "Saturazione principale" put 120
same on "saturazione mezzitoni" put 120
Now close di paragraph
and close temporarily RGB curves
Ok, go to "Nitidezza" (Sharpness)
What is sharpness?
Essentially increases the details of your video.
If this value increases very... you can see more details
but increasing too, there are white margins on all edges
and it is really bad!!
I recommend a value of at most 30 - 40.
To further increase a bit the fullness of the video,
You can try to further boost the "Luminosità e contrasto"
Try with value 20 on contrast,
And "Luminosità" (Brightness) with value - 20
But attention it could become too dark!!
So, try value -15 on "Luminosità"
To see the actual difference of your settings on the video,
just click on the "FX" button to temporarily disable effects.
"Demonstration difference"
Ok, now if at Sunset increasing contrast, saturation, etc..
the video took a color too yellow, no problem
Go to RGB Curves
we focus on the Blue box.
Holding down exactly in the middle of the blue line and drag up.
If drag down becomes yellow
Therefore, a little bit increase the blue (drag up)
clicking FX button (Demonstration difference)
minimum difference, but the road is more gray
and the clouds and the sky are more intense and blue
OK, now see a video
It is much better than before
If you want to copy all the settings of a clip
and put them on another clip
just right click on clip, click copy,
and "paste attributes" on new clip.
Obviously this thing here, it makes no sense!!
because a clip is sunset, and a clip is afternoon.
As you can see, there is too much contrast
We must improve the shadows areas
that also have become bluish.
Therefore disable the RGB Curves,
Go to "Luminosità e contrasto" (Brightness & contrast)
In fact, if I disable "Luminosità e contr..", the shadows are best seen!
Try to reduce the contrast
try value 12
On "luminosità" (Brightness) try -12
It is better than before
but you have to find the right balance!!
