Hello and welcome to Fluggy, the Unicorn's Crochet Corner
Today I show you how to do the crocheted knitstitch and make a heart shaped application with it
You start your heart from the bottom up by doing one single knitstitch as follows:
Go into the stitch, were your heart should be, yarn over with a contrasting colour or any colour you chose for the heart.
and finish off the stitch with your basic colour
By the way you can add this application to any piece of crochet which is done in rounds from bottom up.
In the second round you do three knitstitches.
Start one stitch before the knitstitch of the last row
Yarn over with contrasting colour
and finish the stitch with the basic colour
When doing a stitch exactly on top of a knitstitch of the previous round, be careful to put your hook between the two little yarn ends forming this v-shape
Another knitstitch in this round and then finish your round in the basic colour
You can fasten your yarn end in the contrasting colour a bit by inserting it into the next stitch like this if you want.
In the next round you do 5 knitstitches. starting once again one stitch before the first knitstitch of the previous round
And once again be careful to insert your hook directly into the middle of the "v" when working on into the knitstitches of the previous round.
In the next round you start one stitch before the last knitstitch onece again
Then do a knitstitch into each "v" of the previous round
afterwards do one more knitstitch
and then continue with your round
In the next round add one more knitstitch before the first one of the previous round and one after the last one
In the next round do one knitstitch into every knitstitch of the previous round
In the next round do 3 knitstitches, one normal single crochet with grey yarn and another three knitstitches with red yarn
From now on the heartshape becomes visible
In the next round start with red knitstitches into the second knitstitch of the previous round and do
2 red knitstitches, one grey single crochet, 2 red knitstitches
ow, the only thing important after you finished your heart is, that you do your single crochets into the little "v"s of the knitstitches.
And that's already it. Now you can go ahead and do knitstitch-hearts on your crochet work
Or you invent your own knitstitch-applications, just as you like it
That was it for today, thanks a lot for watching.
I am looking forward to your comments
