Hospice care in the Czech Republic is available to all people in need

It is partially covered by the state, partially by the client

There are 18 facilities so far in the country

Many new agencies provide home hospice care for the patients

in their home environment

However, this is not a common phenomenon in the Czech Republic

Czechs do not like to admit the existence of incurable disease

and death, we perceive them with great sadness

Yet we try to relieve the illness by our presence in the hospital or hospice

Care in the hospice is intended for clients with incurable diseases

It focuses on meeting the patient's needs

curing disease symptoms and relieving pain

Emphasis is placed on satisfying the psychosocial

and spiritual needs of the client

The facilities have extra-standard rooms

the possibility of staying here with close family

All care is very individually focused

The staff try to satisfy the client's needs

It must be a nice but demanding job

Although today's theme was not merry, it still belongs to everyone's life
