Taylor Swift's Music Video Producer Thinks Beyonce Copied 'Bad Blood'

Drama! Music video director Joseph Kahn thinks Beyoncé copied Taylor Swift's video for "Bad Blood," and not the other way around.

The director is defending himself after Beyoncé's fans claimed that he and the Out of the Woods singer copied some aspects of the "Formation" video for their "Look What You Made Me Do" clip.

"It's not 'Formation' at all," he told the newspaper about Swifts latest video. "They try to say she's wearing a black crop top and Beyoncé wore a black crop top.

But they don't realize in 2015 in 'Bad Blood,' Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyoncé copied 'Bad Blood.'".

After the "LWYMMD" video dropped at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, Kahn spoke out on Twitter the next day to address the accusations that he had copied the "Sorry" singer.

"I've worked with Beyoncé a few times," he wrote. "She's an amazing person. The #LWYMMDvideo is not in her art space. Love and respect to Bey." .

The scene that had people making the comparison was one that shows Swift lined up next to her male backup dancers while wearing all black, similar to what Beyoncé did for her Lemonade album's visuals.

The video director has also been addressing his feud with the Beyhive on social media while he promotes his new movie. He shared the LA Times article on Twitter, writing: "Come get it Beyhive.

View YouTube Video Transcript (closed caption) without time codes (toggle timestamps) - Duration: 4:27.

You may have noticed recently that YouTube has changed their layout a bit.

This is as of September 2017.

Now what you may not have noticed is that YouTube has also made transcriptions or closed

captions from the YouTube videos more accessible.

Now let me show you what I'm talking about.

Here is my -- one of my videos that I have uploaded on YouTube.

And when I pull up that video, you can see here -- I'm going to pause it.

And you can see here that it has closed captioning available.

And if you go down to where there's the thumbs up, thumbs down, share, and the add to and

then these three dots, click on the three dots.

And now you can open the transcript.

Now previously if you opened up the transcript, it would show up below here where I've made

notes.

And instead, it's showing up here on the right.

Now as before, all the little codes are along the wording.

And if you look down here it says English Auto-Generated, and there's a down arrow.

Now it says English Auto-Generated and also English.

This means the top one is the one that YouTube created.

And if I click on English, it's the one that I actually transcribed and then uploaded to

YouTube.

Now up here after the word Transcript, there's three dots going vertically.

And if you click on that, you can toggle timestamps.

Now watch what happens when I click on that.

The little time codes go away.

Now when you go in here, and if you clicked and held your mouse button down, you could

scroll through, and it would allow you to then have the entire transcript lit up in

blue.

And if I then right clicked, I would be able to copy that whole transcript, and it would

not have all the time codes in it.

Now this is new.

Before, you could never see the transcript without the little time codes unless, of course,

it was your video that you owned and you went into editing, and that's where you could get

a hold of the transcript.

So this is great if you want to pull a transcript off of a YouTube video that you are not the

owner or a manager of.

And one last note I do need to make, though.

Please keep in mind about copyright and copyright laws.

Do not copy someone's transcript of their video and purport it to be your own.

Copyright is important to keep in mind here.

But this is great if you want to be able to read it without the codes.

And if you're trying to put it somewhere else, like say into Google's translation for a different

language.

And I'm sure you can think of multiple other uses for this.

But again, this is a new feature where you can get the transcript or read, see the transcript

without the time codes.

And don't forget down below where English Auto-Generated is what YouTube created as

opposed to English is one that was uploaded into the video that had been transcribed.

If you would like your videos transcribed, be sure to contact Tina@PhamTranscriptionServices.com.

Thanks for watching.
