Waching daily Apr 7 2017

Admit it: if you have someone to make you chicken soup and give you tissues, having

a cold is almost a little bit fun.

Yeah you're sick, but you don't have to go to work and you can just sleep all day

or watch Sherlock

If you're on your own, though, you still have all the mucus and headaches, but no extra

pampering.

So being sick sucks.

A new study published in the journal Health Psychology has even found scientific evidence

of this!

It turns out, being lonely can actually make a cold feel worse.

To kick off this experiment, 213 volunteers answered a bunch of questions to measure how

lonely they felt and how strong their social networks were -- basically, how many connections

they had with family, friends, coworkers, and everyone else they might interact with

in a typical week.

Then, researchers used nasal drops to expose them to a strain of rhinovirus, the culprit

behind the common cold.

The participants stayed in quarantine for five days, where they reported their symptoms

daily using a scoring system that's standard for these kinds of studies.

They rated how bad they felt on a scale of zero to four.

After the researchers statistically analyzed all the data, they found that loneliness and

social ties didn't seem to affect how likely someone was to get sick after squirting viruses

up their nose.

But feeling lonely was a strong predictor of how bad people's self-reported cold symptoms

were -- even after accounting for a whole bunch of things like age, sex, education level,

income, marriage, body mass, and even the time of year.

The actual size of people's social networks, measured by the survey they took, didn't

have this effect.

Only how lonely they felt seemed to matter!

In other words, your perception of loneliness can impact how crappy you feel during a cold,

regardless of how many friends you actually have.

So, the psychological toll of social isolation can have some serious physical effects.

Past studies have suggested that it can increase your risk of heart disease, for instance,

and might even worsen the effects of breast cancer.

And the researchers suggest that this is more evidence that doctors need to consider their

patients' emotional well-being, not just their vital signs, to really understand sickness.

Meanwhile, in Utah, some animals probably felt pretty great when tons of food appeared

out of nowhere in their backyard.

And the scientists that left the treats got a surprising new peek into American badger

behavior, which they reported in a paper published this week.

Bird researchers from the University of Utah were hoping to learn more about vultures and

other scavengers, so they set out seven baby cow carcasses in the mountains west of Salt

Lake City.

Animals would visit the tasty decomposing meat, and motion-activated cameras automatically

snapped photos of them.

That way, the scientists could download the image files and see what kinds of scavengers

turned up.

At least, that was the plan.

But when a student went back to check on the carcasses a week after they were set out,

one had gone missing.

At first he was bummed because he thought a large predator dragged it away from the

cameras, which wouldn't be that great for the study.

But then he noticed that the dirt was all dug up.

And the photos from the camera trap revealed the real culprit -- a badger had dug a pit

under the dead calf and then buried the entire thing over the course of five days.

That same badger spent weeks visiting the site, feasting on aged veal tartare.

And a second badger partially buried another calf carcass nearby, so this wasn't just

one weirdly creative animal.

It looked like it could be pretty normal behavior.

So when an American badger is hungry it will bury a whole dang cow

We already knew that badgers like to cache, or bury, smaller food like rabbits.

Caching keeps the meat cool so it stays fresh longer, and it keeps other hungry animals

from finding it.

But this is the first time anyone has observed badgers burying animals bigger than themselves,

that they can't like drag around!

In the tough environment of the Great Basin desert, this behavior could have a big ecological

impact.

Normally, a large carcass would be a feast for a whole range of scavengers, from vultures

to coyotes.

But if American badgers are hiding these hunks of meat and monopolizing them, like any good

american, then that resource isn't available to other animals.

And that's a big deal in an ecosystem where food can be hard to come by.

Not only that, but badgers could unintentionally be helping out ranchers by burying dead cattle.

This would keep the carcasses from spreading disease or attracting predators that might

attack other cows in a herd.

So while bigger is usually better when it comes to sample size in research papers, even

two little badgers showed that there's a lot we still have to learn about animal behavior.

Top 5 Shiny Pokémon You'll NEVER Obtain! - Duration: 11:29.

Hey guys, HDvee here. Now one of the best things about Pokemon in my opinion are of

course, shiny Pokemon. Shiny Pokémon are Pokémon with different coloration than the

normal versions of the Pokémon although they have no stat differences at all. Shiny Pokémon

have been included since Generation 2 in Gold and Silver in which the first shiny Pokémon

that was introduced was a Red Gyarados. Shiny Pokémon are considered very rare. The term

shiny is a reference to their difference in color and their sparkling animation and sound

effect when they enter into battle. The term was unofficial prior to Generation 5, when

the Pokédex began cataloging shiny Pokémon and using the term itself. With that being

said, everybody loves finding a shiny Pokemon. Whether that being because you've spent

hours searching for the shiny that you want, or just simply because you've gotten lucky

and randomly come across one, either way, seeing those sparkles come up on your screen

is always a great feeling shared by many Pokemon fans worldwide. However, something that you

may not know about though is that there are a select few Pokemon out there that can't

actually be found as a legitimate shiny Pokemon. Looking into this topic a bit more, today's

video takes a look at the Top 5 Shiny Pokemon You'll Never Obtain. Don't hesitate to

drop a comment down below about the video and if you found it interesting or not! Don't

forget to leave a like on this video too to show your support and I'll be sure to bring

out a new video very shortly. Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already to keep

up to date and without further ado let's get into the video and I really hope that

you enjoy!

First off, we probably need some more information about this topic so let's get into why these

Pokemon can't actually be found as a Shiny Pokemon. In Generation 4 and Generation 5,

nearly all the non-Shiny event Pokémon you obtain are coded to not be shiny. These Pokémon

can usually be soft reset for IVs and natures, but they will never be shiny. There are a

few exceptions for this, such as a couple of Kyushu events in 2012 in Japan. In addition

to this, in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2, several of the wild Pokémon are

coded to not be shiny. In X & Y, none of the Legendary Pokémon can be shiny. This was

the same for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon when they were released, in the way that a

bunch of the legendary Pokemon found in these two new games can't be shiny as well.

When a Pokemon can't be found as a shiny Pokemon, it is known as being shiny locked,

and only consists of legendary Pokemon. Starting in Pokémon Black and Pokemon White, the developers

started instituting locks where Pokémon could be caught in the wild but was prevented from

being shiny. These locks are mostly done on the signature legendary Pokémon of the games,

but do range further. These Pokémon are usually available as shiny through other games and

are only locked through the particular game listed. However, you've probably seen quite

a handful of Pokemon that are on this list that are shiny Pokemon, and the reason for

that is because these Pokemon can be hacked into your game as a shiny Pokemon, so let

me just quickly explain now that all of the Pokemon featured in this video can't be

a legitimate shiny Pokemon, but, can be hacked in as a shiny, if that makes sense. Basically,

you need to cheat to get these shiny Pokemon. Now that that's all been explained, let's

get into the list!

Starting things off and claiming the number five spot in today's top five video are

three of the four tapus, being Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini. I say only three

because there has just recently been an event to obtain a shiny Tapu Koko. It was announced

that a special distribution was coming to Japan. This distribution gave out a serial

code that allows players to receive a special Shiny Tapu Koko. This is the first time that

Tapu Koko had been available as a Shiny Pokémon. This event runs at 7SPOTs in 7-11 stores from

March 17th to April 9th. This sparks the question that Nintendo would probably not just have

an event for one of the island guardians, and that a special shiny event for Tapu Lele,

Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini would be coming in the near future, seeing as it would be silly

to miss the other three Pokemon out. So, because these Pokemon could become legitimate shiny

Pokemon in the near future, they are at the number five spot on this list. For all of

these reasons, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini claim the number five spot for today's

top five video.

Coming in at the number four spot in today's top five video is Victini. Victini is said

to bring victory to the Trainer that befriends it. It produces an infinite amount of energy

within itself and can share it with others by touch. It can also become invisible. Although

Victini has a Shiny sprite, Pokémon Black and White are programmed so that a Shiny Victini

cannot be encountered. It shares this trait with Reshiram and Zekrom. To this day, there

still hasn't been a shiny Victini event, meaning that in order to get this Pokemon

as a shiny, you have to hack it in, which is of course unfortunate and you'd think

by now that Gamefreak would have had a shiny Victini event seeing as Pokemon Black and

Pokemon White have been out for so long. I do hope that one day Victini does become a

legitimate shiny Pokemon, because i do really love the shiny sprite for this Pokemon. For

all of these reasons, Shiny Victini takes the number four spot in today's top five

video.

Coming in at the halfway point in today's top five video are all the ultra beasts in

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. The Pokemon that are currently coded to not be shiny are

Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree, Celesteela, Kartana, Guzzlord, and Necrozma,

yes i know that Necrozma isn't technically an ultra beast, but it is related to them

and so it's easier to just include the Pokemon in this section of the video. This one confused

me quite a bit in all honesty, with a new game feature like the Ultra Beasts, you'd

think that Nintendo would at least allow one of them to be able to be caught as a shiny

Pokemon, to obviously spread the new feature out even more. All of the Ultra beasts do

have really cool shiny forms and it is a real shame that they have all been coded to not

be found as a shiny. With all of that being said, they may distribute these Pokemon as

shiny Pokemon through events across the year, but of course we won't know that until they

give us confirmation. For all of these reasons, Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree,

Celesteela, Kartana, Guzzlord, and Necrozma all being shiny locked takes the number three

spot in today's top five video.

Claiming the number two spot in today's top five video is Solgaleo and Lunala. With

the release of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, we were gifted with a bunch of brand new Pokemon

that we could use to battle, trade or just to collect. As well as all of the brand new

Pokemon we were introduced too, we of course also got a shiny version for each of them

too, and whilst it's been fun shiny hunting for all of these new shiny Pokemon, two pokemon

were left in the dark, and that was of course the shiny Solgaleo and the shiny Lunala, the

two new legendary Pokemon for the new games. Both of these Pokemon were coded to not be

shiny during normal gameplay of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon and so, the only way to get

these two shiny Pokemon is by hacking them into your game. This is actually a real shame

too, because i do really like the shiny design of both Solgaleo and Lunala. I really like

the red colouring that takes over Solgaleo's shiny form, and also the reddish purple that

becomes Lunala's shiny form also makes it stand out really well. For all of these reasons,

shiny Solgaleo and shiny Lunala take the number two spot in today's top five video.

Finishing things off and claiming the number one spot in today's top five video is Zygarde.

Zygarde does of course have a Shiny Sprite, however it is coded not to be Shiny in Pokémon

X and Pokemon Y, along with Xerneas and Yveltal. So you cannot get a Shiny Zygarde by Soft

Resetting the game, the only way to get one would be by hacking or by Event if there was

a Shiny Zygarde Event. However, both Shiny Xerneas and Shiny Yveltal were distributed

in an event earlier in 2016. To help promote the debut of Pokémon the Series: XYZ, which

was added to the Pokémon TV mobile app, Shiny Xerneas, Shiny Yveltal, and Zygarde were being

distributed via Nintendo Network for American region games. Each Pokémon were available

via Nintendo Network for one week only for Pokémon X and Y and Pokémon Omega Ruby and

Alpha Sapphire. Zygarde was available from May 2nd to 8th, 2016. It was level 100 and

knew the moves Land's Wrath, Extreme Speed, Glare and Outrage. Shiny Xerneas was available

from May 11th to 17th, 2016. It was level 100 and knew the moves Geomancy, Moonblast,

Aromatherapy and Focus Blast. FInally, Shiny Yveltal was available from May 20th to 26th,

2016. It was level 100 and knew the moves Oblivion Wing, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse and

Foul Play. But of course, the Zygarde in this event wasn't a shiny Pokemon and so, is

still not possible to obtain. For all of these reasons, shiny Zygarde takes the number one

spot in today's top five video.

But with that, wraps up this video. I really hope you enjoyed it as much as i did making

it! If you did enjoy the video though, please leave a like i'd really appreciate it! Like

i said at the start of the video, I would also love to hear your guys opinions too on

The Importance of Self Advocacy For Autistic People - Duration: 1:27.

(upbeat electronic rock starts)

Self advocacy can be a very important tool for autistic people as they get older.

While not everyone will be comfortable with doing so, it is important for family members

to strike a balance between advocating for us and allowing us space to advocate for ourselves

when we're able to do so.

That balance point may change over time as self advocacy becomes more difficult, or easier,

depending on a variety of factors.

If you want autistic people to self advocate, it is important to respect and consider our

views, and accept us as individuals.

A person, autistic or not, who is treated as inferior by others is far less likely to

advocate for themselves.

If you believe that others will be dismissive of your position, you are less likely to state it.

If you build a person up, however, and reinforce their strengths, they will be more likely

to feel confident and assert themselves.

Acceptance of autistic people and accurate information regarding autism, in my opinion,

are the cornerstone of advocacy.

Everyone should equip themselves with these things if they want a better world for autistic people.

Rescue Me | Dr. Ed Young - Duration: 28:31.

Dr. Ed Young: If you just came from outer space,

didn't know anything about church and Christian history, or

any doctrines of biblical truth, and somebody would tell you

that the death of a man who lived over 2,000 years ago

has relevance for you,

you'd say, "What? What?

The death of a man that lived over 2,000 years ago is

important to me?

It has significance and relevance for me, what?"

But that's what we discover when we look at the death of

Jesus Christ.

In John chapter number 11, we see Jesus went to the house of

Mary and Martha, and there their brother Lazarus, his friend,

had died.

But Lazarus had been in the grave 4 days and Jesus comes

and brings him back to life.

Can you think about that?

I mean, just totally disrupts the cemetery

and brings him back to life.

I've been to the very spot and looked into the side of the cave

where they believe Lazarus had been buried there in Bethany.

And you just feel the excitement, dead 4 days,

now alive.

Crowds came, people wondered far and wide.

And perhaps if you'll read carefully in the 12th chapter of

John, you'll see something that I only noticed this week.

The religious leaders put a contract out on Lazarus.

I hadn't noticed that before.

They wanted to get rid of the evidence.

You know, what a strong witness, "I've been dead for 4 days and

he brought me back to life.

Anybody wanna argue with me about who Jesus is?"

So they put a contract out on him.

Then we see Jesus has to go up into another part of Galilee and

there in Ephraim, he went almost in hiding as far as we know

for a period of time.

And then it was time of the Passover.

Everybody speculated what Jesus of Nazareth, now the famous

prophet and, to some eyes, infamous rabbi,

would he come to the feast?

Would he show up?

That was the question.

And sure enough, Jesus went back to Bethany.

And there we know his feet were anointed by Mary,

and then Jesus goes and makes his way to Jerusalem.

And on that Palm Sunday, the crowds came out

when the news went out, "Jesus is coming.

Jesus is coming. Jesus is coming.

Jesus is coming."

And they lined the streets going into that great

city, and there they had palm branches swaying.

They were saying, "Hosanna," And here comes Jesus into the city,

riding on a donkey.

A king would come, a conqueror would come on a white horse.

A general, a ruler with power and pomp and circumstance and

ego, riding on a horse, but this is the way the Master rides,

on a donkey, on a donkey, on a donkey.

Now, the prophetic Jews who were steeped in Scripture knew it was

a fulfillment of Ezekiel 9:9, which said: "The Messiah

will come riding on a donkey."

So they recognized what he was

saying in the proclamation of this truth,

"Hosanna, praise be to God.

The King has come." What a moment,

that celebratory moment of Palm Sunday.

And then the next passage of Scripture there deals with

a group of Greeks cam to Jesus.

First of all, they didn't go direction to him.

They went to Philip, Philip, a Greek name, one of the apostles.

And the Greeks recognized a fellow Greek and said,

"Sir, we wish to see Jesus."

I love that phrase.

I've preached in pulpits all over this world, and so many

of them have engraved in the pulpit, "We would see Jesus."

And that's why we go to church, isn't it?

That's why we sing hymns.

That's why we worship.

We would see Jesus.

And these Greeks simply made that request to a fellow Greek.

And Philip was a little timid and said,

"Well, I'll go to Andrew, and he's the entrée to Jesus."

And Andrew also is almost perhaps a Greek name,

and we know that evidently, he took these Greeks,

foreigners, perhaps God lovers, perhaps seekers,

perhaps those who came as a part of the wonderful

celebration of the Passover.

It was a fabulous time.

People came from all over the world, not only Jews, but others

who were God seekers.

And so, evidently, the Greeks went to Jesus and then we see

something that is very, very interesting.

Mark this down, verse 23: "And Jesus answered them."

Other words, they brought the Greeks to him.

"And Jesus answered them," verse 23, John chapter number 12,

"The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified."

Now, when you see that phrase,

"The hour has come," if you know your Bible,

and we've been listening as we've walked through the life of

Jesus, the autobiography of the Almighty, many times he'd say,

you know, "I can't answer that because my hour has not come.

I can't do that because my hour has not come."

All the way through the life of Jesus,

we see this phrase, "The hour has not come.

The time has not come.

The hour has not come."

And now, someone who would hear these words,

"My hour has come," whoa, you'd stand on tiptoe.

"And it is come," what?

"For the Son of Man," talking about himself,

"to be glorified."

I like that word "glorified," don't you?

What do you think about it?

I think about somebody being applauded, somebody being

honored, somebody being set aside.

I think about, biblically, a Shekinah glory coming, a kind of

awesome moment.

The Son of Man is to be glorified.

This is the moment.

And by the way, this is only the second time in the Bible that

Jesus proclaims that he is indeed the Son of God,

the promised Messiah.

He did it at the woman at the well.

And he did it sort of in a backhanded way in the,

"I am," passages we find in John.

But here he says clearly by coming on the donkey, fulfilling

a prophecy before all the people and here seeing, "Now is the

hour for the Son of Man to be glorified, to be lifted up."

And then, look at the 24th verse.

Look very careful, hope you have your Bibles with you.

You have two words that you should stop and take a time.

It says: "Truly, truly."

I've taught this before.

This you need to remember, forgive me.

When you see, "Truly, truly," we would say, "Amen, amen."

"Truly, truly," "Amen, amen."

Jesus begins what he's saying with, "Truly, truly."

Now, when you're reading your Bible and you see,

"Truly, truly," right there you stop because you know something

important, vital, is going to be said.

I mean, this--get ready.

He's already said, "My hour has come.

I'm going to be glorified."

And he says, "Truly, truly."

In the synagogues, the old rabbis would sit in the back.

They'd read the scroll.

A rabbi would teach the congregation.

And if the old rabbis in the back like what the rabbi had

taught, they would say, "Amen, amen."

They didn't like it, they wouldn't say anything.

Jesus, when he was teaching, he said,

"Amen, amen, verily, verily," before he said anything.

But he was going to say something exceedingly important,

something he didn't want anybody to miss, he didn't say, "Verily,

verily, amen, amen," afterward.

He said it as an introduction.

Isn't that interesting?

So anytime you see, "Verily, verily,"

you say, "Whoa, hold on, this is important."

And look what Jesus says.

He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, unless a grain of

wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone;

but if it dies, it bears much fruit."

And so we see that he is

being glorified, but the staggering thing here,

the glorification of Jesus is the Crucifixion of Jesus.

That's contrary to anything anybody had ever heard of,

anybody could figure out, is it not?

Glorification is Crucifixion.

And he said clearly here, "Unless a grain of wheat falls

in the ground and dies, it just abides alone."

It's nonproductive, it just exists.

But if it is placed in the ground, there is a germination

process and fruit.

There is productivity that comes out of it.

And he is saying that, "I will abide in the ground.

I will die.

I'll be buried so that I will have life."

And he says the same thing to us.

We are to die so that we would have life,

so the cross is a paradox.

Remember what a paradox is?

A paradox is a statement that seems to be contradictory

in nature, but many times it ends up being the truth.

Something that is contradictory but ends up being truthful.

It seems like it's an opposite thing.

But you put them together.

Now, in the paradox, you see the full picture

of what is being stated.

What is the paradox of the cross?

Through death comes life.

That's backwards, isn't it?

Man, you know, death reveals life.

That's what Jesus is saying.

He said, "I am planted in the ground."

He died so that we might experience life and

so he could experience life.

And what's that word?

That you might, that we might be fruitful.

What is fruitfulness?

Or what does it mean to have a life that's fruitful.

Have to go to Galatians 5.

Let me tell ya what a fruitful life looks like:

"Love, joy,

peace, patience,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

self-control, gentleness." Are those characteristics that

you'd like to have?

Boy, I would.

The fruit of the Spirit, I mean, to have a life that's like that,

Jesus says that he died

so that he would produce that kind of fruit.

And you go to 2 Corinthians chapter 5, it says that:

"He who knew no sin," that was Jesus, "took on our sin so that

we might take on him and be in him and we might have,"

you and I might have, what?

"The righteousness of God."

That terrific?

"The righteousness of God."

So, we see the paradox that is here in this verse.

We see the rest of it in the very next verse.

It applies even in a more personal way to us.

He said, "He who loves his life loses it, but he who hates his

life I this world would keep it to life eternal."

You see, everything about the Christian life

is almost backwards to logic, isn't it?

You wanna be first?

Lag back, be last.

Do you wanna really be somebody?

Be a servant.

So, we see the cross is paradoxical.

And then we read in the 26th verse: "'If anyone serves me,'"

said Jesus, "he must follow me; where I am, there my servant

will be also; if anyone serves me, the Father will honor him."

And the word "honor," we sort of watered down that word.

We talk about, "My son was on the honor roll."

None of my children.

Well, one of 'em once.

But we talk about, you know, "I was honored there

at the office and they gave me a pen.

I was salesman--"

We've taken honor and made it almost--

but here it says, "The Father will honor you."

Boy, isn't that?

It is the Father will honor us.

We lose our life only to find it again.

"Ever since that day in the quiet place,

I met my Master face to face."

We see the paradox of the cross.

And then we see here the purpose of the cross.

Look at it, verse 27, Jesus says: "'Now my soul has become

troubled; and what shall I say,

"Father, save me from this hour"?

But for this purpose I came to this hour.

Father, glorify your name.'"

"My heart is troubled.

My soul is troubled."

What is it?

Jesus, this is Gethsemane, pre-Gethsemane, is it not?

Remember, Jesus said, "Man, let this cup pass from me," as he

looked to the cross.

People say, "Oh, man, a lot of people have died [inaudible]

that are more heroic than Jesus, a lot of people have."

Socrates took that hemlock, and he took that poison, hemlock.

He didn't blink an eye. What's Jesus saying?

What was troubling his soul?

It wasn't the physical death.

It wasn't horrific enough.

It wasn't the shame of being there on the cross

and the spectacle.

It wasn't the identity, "Now, you must be some sort of

horrendous criminal to be executed like this."

It was, what troubled his soul that he would take upon himself

all the trash of your life and my life and the trash of

the world and die on our behalf at the same time

his Father would turn his back on him.

He would die alone.

That was what troubled him.

That is what that cup looked like.

He said, "My soul is troubled."

The price that was paid for

the purpose--what's the purpose of the cross?

He said that, "The Father's name,

my name might be glorified."

You see, the name in the Bible is a big thing.

Somebody's name would carry all their characteristics,

all their background, all their heritage, all the history.

A name, that's readin' one of the commandments,

"Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain."

Oh, how important is the name?

"Let this mind be in you," said Paul, "which was also in Christ

Jesus: Being in the form of God, made of himself no reputation,

took upon him the form of a servant: humbled himself,

was obedient to death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God hath highly exalted him and given him

a," what?

"A name that's above every name: That at the name of Jesus

everything under the earth, on the earth, on the earth, above

the earth, every knee shall bow; and every tongue shall confess

his name that he is our Lord and our God."

My goodness, it's the name.

He said, "The name might be glorified."

The cross glorified the name of the Father.

Name any other religion in the world, just stand up,

let's talk about 'em one at a time, one at a time.

Find me any other faith, any other religion in which the God

the Father, the Son of that religion died on a cross

for you and me, or for anybody.

You see, the Father came all the way down to the heaven

and the Son, and he died estranged even from the Father.

You find greater love than that.

Therefore, when you look at the cross, you see those arms,

what does that mean?

Those arms are saying simply, "I love you."

You look at a cross, they're saying,

"I love you. I love you."

That's what those arms are saying.

And by the way, you think about a symbol of Christianity.

You know, it could have been a manger, right,

you know, the birth?

The symbol of Christianity could have been a carpenter's bench.

He worked honoring the laboring person.

The symbol could have been a towel.

He washed the feet.

The symbol of Christianity could have been a boat.

Remember, he sat on the boat and he would teach.

That'd be a good symbol, have a boat there.

Symbol of Christianity could be a rock.

Remember the stone that was rolled away,

revealed the empty tomb?

It could be a rock.

That'd be a good symbol to use.

The symbol of Christianity could be a dove,

when the Holy Spirit came and fell.

The symbol of Christianity could be a throne.

John says, "I saw the Lord, the Lamb, on the throne."

Could be a throne.

Well, what is the symbol of Christianity?

It's a cross.

It's a cross.

And the cross has paradoxical truth.

When we die, we live.

When Jesus died, he gives life to others.

We see the very purpose of the cross is that the name of Jesus

may be glorified.

And then we see the power of the cross.

It's one of the most famous verses in the Bible.

It says, "Now judgment is upon this world; that the ruler of

this world will be cast out."

In other words, evil was defeated on the cross.

Understand that, evil was defeated.

We're just in a mopping-up operation.

Evil was done for.

Evil did its worst on the only begotten of the Father, on

Jesus, and now we're in the mopping-up operations.

And then Jesus said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth,

will draw all men to myself."

The word "draw" there is "helkyo."

Great word, "helkyo." It means, like the disciples

caught a lot of fish and they got to the nets and they

were physically straining, drawing, the cross draws us.

We see Jesus on the cross.

He goes and he physically takes us, spiritually, morally,

and just draws us to himself.

"If I be lifted up, I will draw."

There is a power there,

a drawing power when Jesus is lifted up.

We think about the cross.

What do you think about?

He's our substitute, like he took the punishment

you and I deserved so we'll not have to take that punishment

for our garbage, for our sin, right?

He is a propitiation.

That has to do with his shed blood that gives us life,

that covers, eliminates our sin.

That's a part of the cross.

We are redeemed.

He buys us back from evil and from our selfishness.

We are redeemed.

Salvation is used as a part of the cross.

And also, the word I like is the word "rescue."

Anybody here need to be rescued?

Wherever you are or wherever I am, we get down in the mud

and the muck and we need to be rescued.

Somebody, some need to--and it is, "Well, if I be lifted up,

I will draw all men." And that drawing rescues us.

But we don't just stay there.

The whole church is supposed to come around us.

All that we can and hold those precious whom God rescued

in Jesus Christ here among us.

That's our calling.

That's who we are.

And that's what the cross is all about.

It's a paradox of truth.

You die to live. You live to die.

Also, the purpose is that,

"My name may be glorified in the cross."

The condescension of God as he came all the way down,

identified with our sin, became sin himself so as we receive

him, you and I might be righteous in the sight of God.

Is that supernatural?

Is that amazing?

And then we see the drawing power of the cross.

It is irresistible.

It draws us.

It draws us.

It draws us.

That's that word, that powerful word.

Man named Barrabas, infamous criminal, contemporary

with Jesus.

Put in prison.

Sentenced to be crucified, executed.

Pilate, same time examining Jesus and Pilate finds

no fault in him.

He wants to not be a part of his Crucifixion.

He wants to get out of the trap he's in.

His wife told him, "Have nothing to do with this good man."

And Pilate's caught, but he has an idea.

He said, "You know, at Passover time, we of the Roman

government, we will release any prisoner that the people of

Israel want us to release and let them go free."

And he said, "We have two very famous prisoners now.

We have Jesus of Nazareth, who says he's the King of the Jews,

who claims that he is Messiah, and we Barrabas, that scum, that

infamous crook, that sorry rascal who's been exploiting

and robbing and hurting us.

We've got Jesus and Barrabas.

And because I can release one of them, which one would you

like for me to release?"

Pilate said, "Surely they'll say, 'Jesus.'"

But they didn't.

They said, "Release Barrabas."

I read that over and over and I'm always amazed.

You know, a few days other, it was, "Hosanna, hosanna, blessed

is the name of the Lord," when he came on that Palm Sunday.

Now, it's, "Crucify him."

From, "Hosanna," to, "Crucify," in 4 or 5 days.

The crowds are fickle, aren't they?

They're fickle.

And they say he said,

"Well, what do you want me to do with Jesus?"

They said, "Crucify, crucify."

Now, Barrabas, in the prison, he didn't know this.

They came to get him and he said, "This is the end."

His arms were fettered.

The prisoners begin to drag him out and they take him out of

the dungeon and they take off his chains and they say,

"Barrabas, you've been set free."

"What, what?"

"You've been set free."

And I have a feeling Barrabas turned to run,

but maybe the head guard grabbed him and said,

"Barrabas, wait a minute.

Look there on that hill, Barrabas.

Look on that hill.

You see those three crosses?" "Yes."

"Do you see that center cross, Barrabas?"

"Yes."

"Barrabas, that man on the center cross died for you."

Ladies and gentlemen, this Palm Sunday, we look at

the cross and understand just one simple thing.

That man Jesus, that man on the center cross died for you.

BREAKING – Former US Attorney Bharara Jabs Trump Over Firing - Duration: 2:25.

Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara could not resist poking fun at President Donald Trump,

the man who fired him.

Bharara, who had served at the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, took

his jabs at Trump during his first public appearance since leaving his post.

His address came at The Great Hall of The Cooper Union in Manhattan, Politico is reporting.

He mocked Trump's flap over inauguration day crowd estimates.

Bharara noted he had last been at the hall to attend a speech by then-President Barack

Obama.

He playfully said his audience at the hall "is a lot bigger than Obama's crowd."

"Much bigger than Obama's crowd: from where I stand here, it looks to be about 1 (million)

to 1.5 million people," he told the crowd inside the 960-person hall.

"Look, that's the information I was given."

He alluded to Trump more than once, The Buffalo News reported.

"To drain a swamp, you need an Army Corps of Engineers, not a do-nothing, say-nothing

opportunist who knows a lot about how to bully and bluster, but not so much about truth,

justice and fairness," he said.

And Politico noted he thanked his staff, including his press office whose job it was to "stand

between me and the dishonest media" — a jab at Trump's frequent criticism of journalists.

The Justice Department asked Bharara and 45 other federal prosecutors appointed by President

Obama to resign last month, CNBC noted.

He was fired by Trump after he refused.

"I was asked to resign," he said.

"I refused.

I insisted on being fired and so I was.

I will tell you that I don't really understand why that was such a big deal — especially

to this White House.

"I had thought that's what Donald Trump was good at.

I had thought that's in part how got to be the president.

How many people remember the dramatic moment on 'The Apprentice' every week when Donald

Trump sat at the conference room table, manned up, looked the contestant directly in the

eye and sad in that voice: 'Would you kindly submit your letter of resignation?'

"I don't remember that."

Tick... Tock ... (Dramatic Narration) - Duration: 7:42.

Tick Tock.

Tick.

Tock....

The grandfather clock slowly clicked its way back and forth.

The long slender pendulum rocked, its consistent and infinite rhythm flowing like a song, the

large ball swaying like a leaf in a breeze.

The dark oak wood was carved intricately with delicate inscriptions of ivy crawling up the

side, but it lay unmoving.

The slow consistent clicking contrasts the jerky, quick movements of its long, ornate

hands spinning endlessly in a loop.

The face of the clock, so stoic and stern, glared out over the room, glancing almost

angrily at the man occupying it.

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

The man, in his ruffled suit sits silently against the tall backed chair.

His hair, a brown so deep and lush that it appears almost black, is almost as dishevelled

as his clothing.

He leans back, letting the chair extend and lift his feet off the ground.

He is clearly frustrated, but seems on the verge of tears.

His strong, carved face melting away into a sobbing mess.

He takes off his tie and throws it across the room before laying his hands across his

face, defeated.

The silky fabric lays across the messy desk next to a picture of a woman.

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

Her hair is long and flowing, the golden locks tossed carelessly in the wind.

Its loose locks shine with a healthy light.

The sun beams through them, giving her face an angelic halo.

Her face is the image of beauty.

Deep brown eyes and a wide smile rest joyfully upon her slightly tanned skin.

She wears a light blue summer dress.

A patterned design of sunflowers covers the smooth fabric that flows around her.

Beside is the man.

His face differs much from the depressed visage on the couch.

His strong features look lively and energetic, while one arm wraps over the womans shoulder

and the other sits on the head of a little girl.

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

The papers are stacked high.

Folders, binders, mismatched scraps of scratch paper almost cover the expansive top of the

ornate desk.

It is made of the same wood as the clock, a deep, dark oak.

The same style of artistic ivy flows over the edging, giving the pair the appearance

of a matching set.

A slight gust of air penetrates the room, disturbing the papers and revealing the contents

of a few.

One is a receipt for a car repair, another for a twin bed frame.

A will now rests centrally on the desk.

The name Martha is signed lavishly along the bottom.

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

A warm fire blazes in the fireplace.

The heat radiates outward, trying futilely to drive back the coldness of the room.

Its long, lashing tongues of orange, red and yellow flame curl up through the tightly layered

bricks and into the chimney.

The oak planks and logs slowly crisp under its waves of heat and fire.

It tries desperately to reach out, embrace the world around it and warm everything.

But slowly its fuel depletes, the wood crackling, blackening, before finally collapsing into

a pile of dying embers.

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

The man rises suddenly from his seat.

He storms over to the fire and stokes it, stabbing the rod iron poker violently into

the embers until they catch again.

He grabs more wood and tosses it into the fireplace.

Eventually the flames start back up until a roaring blaze is filling the mantle and

flaring up through the chimney.

He runs over to the desk, grabbing everything on it in both of his large arms.

The papers fly across the room, scattering, fluttering, only some actually making it into

the sweet embrace of the fire.

His agonized screams and howls of pain rip through the hour as he throws everything on

the desk into the ever growing pyre.

Finally in his hands, he takes the image of the woman, and without even looking at it,

throws it across the room.

It smashes through the glass casing of the grandfather clock.

The loud shattering drowns out even the mans cries.

Shimmering glass covers the hardwood floors, the flames reflecting off the littered floor

create a mosaic of lights through the room.

As suddenly as it started, his rage induced rampage is over and he staggers drunkenly

to the clock and falls to his knees.

The deep red blood seeps from the fresh wounds and through his pants, but he seems to not

feel a thing.

His hands cupped the photo as he lifted it to his heart.

Slowly the sobs started to rack his body once again as he fell over to the ground, crying

uncontrollable.

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock She pulled the covers higher over her head.

They couldn't get her if she hid.

The crashing and screaming startled her.

She heard her father crying and screaming intermittently.

She cried too, because she was scared; She worried for her father as well as herself.

Eventually, the noises stopped.

She pulled herself out of the bed slowly and crept down the stairs.

The nightgown brushing along the floor and her blonde hair brushing her shoulders.

She peeps around the corner into his study.

Glass and blood covers the floor.

She is even more firghtened now, but she looks deeper in.

On the floor, he lays there, racked with sobs that make his entire body shudder.

She slowly steps towards him, avoiding the glass with her bare and delicate feet.

She leans down next to him and places a hand on his shoulder.

My Burning Football Apathy - Duration: 3:32.

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening: depending on when you are watching this.

I do not care about football at all.

I don't hate it.

I don't hate the people who like it.

I just don't like it at all.

And this intense apathy possibly saved my life.

Saved your life!?

Hah!

Whatever.

Football is the life blood of the metaphorical creature of my passion!

I love it so much!

Football IS my life!

Yeah!

I know that's probably what you're thinking.

And don't get me wrong.

I have crazed unconditional loves for things as well.

Grab your fife.

Bam.

Music is the peace and soul that is the metaphorical river of my zeal.

Grab a knife.

Bam.

Cheese is the fuel for the metaphorical car of my fanaticism.

Football just doesn't float my boat...boat...boat...we Minnesotans say that weird, don't we?

Speaking of Minnesota.

I was in Green Bay, Wisconsin at possibly the worst time for a Minnesotan to be there,

ever.

The playoffs between the Vikings and the Packers...or whatever the thing is called where they're throwing

the ball at each other.

Anyway, Wisconsin people are so friendly...until...

Well, hey there, young man!

Where are you from?

Minnesota, sir.

You're not a Vikings fan, are you?

No, no, I don't even watch football!

You get the point.

It's terrifying.

And why is it like this!?

Nobody in Minnesota sits down to eat a nice bowl of lobster bisque and gets...

What?

You don't like New England, do you?

Well, I've never actually been there, but...

I only eat Minnesota crustaceans!

Oh...okay...cool.

So you eat, like, Minnesota, pond-scum crawfish?

Yeah!

Go crawfish or go home!

Why do sports people have to be so hostile to people who don't like sports?

I will not tolerate this anymore!

I'm taking a stand: right now...oh, I'm gonna sit.

A stand for the people from neighboring states, music lovers who secretly wish they could

dunk in basketball, and tall, skinny, clumsy dudes who aren't

good at sports so they say they hate it just to mask their insecurity.

So let's come together, one people, one nation, and support each other!

My dearest Ethan, sports are not created to tear our earth family apart.

Organized contests are a hallowed tradition that create opportunities for communities

to come together as one.

To be challenged and to grow.

I never thought of it like that.

Huh...how we can learn from sports and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses,

and come together as a community.

I guess I've been blind this whole time.

I couldn't see it.

And you know what else you'll be able to see?

What?

The Vikings getting their rear-ends handed to them by the PACKERS!

NO!

Vikings are the best!

I hate you because you like another football team!

Same to you!

You're crazy!

Vikings are the BEST!

Machine Learning With Python - Supervised Learning - Understanding Different Evaluation Models - Duration: 2:40.

Hello!

In this video, we'll look at understanding different evaluation models

The previous evaluation models were geared towards classification.

Now, we'll talk more about the model evaluation metrics that are used for regression.

Evaluation metrics provide a key role in the development of a model, as it provides insight

to areas that require improvement.

There are three main model evaluation metrics we'll look at they are:

* Mean Absolute Error (MAE), * Mean Squared Error (MSE), and

* Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE).

But, before we get into defining these, we need to define what an error actually is.

In the context of regression, an error is the difference between the data points and

the trend line generated by the algorithm.

Since there are multiple data points, an error can be determined in multiple ways.

Mean absolute error is the mean of the absolute value of the errors.

It's shown, here, in this equation.

This is the easiest of the three to understand since it's just average error.

As the name states, Mean Squared Error is the mean of the squared error and is shown

here It's more popular than Mean absolute error

because the focus is geared more towards large errors.

This is due to the squared term exponentially increasing larger errors in comparison to

smaller ones.

Root Mean Squared Error is the square root of the mean squared error and, is shown here.

This is the most popular of the three because Root Mean Squared Error is interpretable in

the same units as the response vector ('y' units) making it easy to relate its information.

Now, let's quickly review some key points: * Train and Test on the same data provides

fast, easy to understand, and less resource-intensive model evaluation, however this model is prone

to over-fitting.

* Train/Test Split is also useful because of its speed and insight, however it has a

high variance based on where the split is taken.

* K-fold cross validation overcomes the high variance by taking multiple train/test splits

and averaging them out, however this is highly resource intensive and lacks in speed.

Thanks for watching!
